11041  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: October 28, 2016, 09:50:48 AM
Of course you can invest if you want to grow your money faster but you should always remember that the more profit you can get from an investment the higher the risks. Also do not be fooled by those who would try to take advantage of the fact that you know this and would provide you with "the plan" from which you can see that your income will be small but steady. Small income doesn't necessarily mean a steady one.
11042  Economy / Gambling / Re: is freebitco.in or freedogeco.in worth my time? on: October 28, 2016, 09:38:08 AM
I heard someone won $200 from their faucet recently and the guy was here on bitcointalk providing evidences. I wouldn't recommend to play the dice game there, but I think it wouldn't hurt to visit the site from time to time trying your luck with their faucet. Although you mostly get $0.002, I can confirm that to hit at least $0.02 or $0.2 is possible sometimes.
11043  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fukushima up to date radiation distribution map, anyone? on: October 28, 2016, 09:25:21 AM
Always such data are classified. Very often panic among the population can be worse than the consequences of the accident.

That is right, but also don't forget that almost everybody can have a radiation dosimeter nowadays (at least journalists can surely buy one to make a sensational news). So if the situation was serious in any way people would know.

Fortunately the times when the governments had the ability to hide something important from the people are in the past.
11044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to promote new gambling site? on: October 28, 2016, 09:09:09 AM
First your site should be unique in a way at least: lower house or greater referral commissions or faster bets or bigger faucet or better overall design ... or, which is even better, all of the above. Only then you can start promoting it because otherwise people who would see the promotion would visit your site once and then would leave for good.

IMO all the ways to promote your site were comprehensively covered in this thread already.
11045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Time-based cryptocurrencies? on: October 27, 2016, 03:36:46 PM
I came across this article which actually looks like a pure advertisement to me so no way I'm saying to trust it, but it's really interesting to see some replies from the Bitcoin community.

I personally think that in reality it's impossible to create a currency which is "backed by the real labour force and is redeemable for real person-hours" like they are stating. What do you guys think?

11046  Economy / Economics / Re: The world would be better, if the US dollar... on: October 27, 2016, 02:44:29 PM
The world would be better, if the US dollar (dropped in value?)

I'm not sure about this. Theoretically, like many people are saying in this thread, it would be possible to get more USD for a ton of rice or whatever. But on the other hand you would be able to buy less goods for the dollars you obtained.

And there is one more thing, which is significant IMO. In poor countries with unstable economy many people keep their savings in USD. What would happen to them then?
11047  Economy / Economics / Re: Is gold better than Bitcoin? on: October 27, 2016, 12:21:47 PM
Gold will never lose its value in many areas. It is used in electronics because gold is a highly efficient conductor that can carry tiny currents and remain free of corrosion. Electronic components made with gold are highly reliable. Gols is also useed in dentistry because  it is chemically inert, nonallergenic and easy for the dentist to work.

That being said, I think gold is overestimated right now and it will lose some value in the future. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is underestimated and it will cost more in the years to come.
11048  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: October 27, 2016, 11:24:41 AM
Happy hour starting now Smiley.

And .... I missed it again! Smiley Well I guess next time then. Although I have around 100k on my balance I'm going to gamble them away quickly to use that big faucet. If I'm not mistaken it's 10,000 sats every 3 minutes right? I hope I won't miss it next time.
11049  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Free electricity == big advantage? on: October 27, 2016, 11:03:20 AM
I talked my university out of giving me free electricity, basically supporting us with free server farms which include electricity. I am in Malaysia and wants to starts mining and possibly creating a farm, a buddy of mine in China who is familiar with the mining ecosystem there says that even with cheap electricity in china (There are threads saying China's electricity's so cheap) the Roi is diminishing greatly there.

So if I can get free electricity is it still worth starting from scratch, I mean making this a full time job, and start mining?

Note: considering to give up my not-too-bad job for this

Of course free electricity is a big advantage and you will have bigger chance to start getting ROI sooner. But first you should ask you university how many kWhs they are going to give you monthly. Because they might be surprized by the numbers you need for mining. Since you are talking about full time job I guess you are going to use at least 3 miners, right?
11050  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Irak bans alcohol on: October 27, 2016, 10:54:20 AM
In all Arab countries, the problem is to get alcohol. The Koran forbids alcohol, but for tourists in hotels make an exception.

I know this, I've heard from my frinds travalling to the Arabian Peninsula that although it is forbidden you still can buy it in a hotel bar. Now I'm wondering will this be the case in Irak? Because it looks like they are going to ban the use of alcohol completely.
11051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: October 27, 2016, 10:43:58 AM
I'm from a poor country and Bitcoin helps me, does that count? Other alt coins help me too, and my family.
Bitcoin is money and money is almighty.

I dont know how bitcoin helps you,but yes bitcoin can certainly help many indiviaduals, providing cheap and quick online transactions or even providing some earning oportunities online as well.

Exactly this. Transactions with Bitcoins not only cheap, they almost nothing compared to  Western Union for example. And they are really fast, you just have to include the recommended transaction fee which right now is just 0.0002 or $0.14.
11052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why does Gambling always in our daily life? on: October 27, 2016, 10:31:43 AM
No it is not a part of our daily life. You're gambling because you chose it and no one force you to do it. The fact that you can earn money or even be rich in an instant without exerting too much effort is what attracts people into gambling. But in fact there are higher chance that you will only just going to lose money in gambling than going to earn profits from it . If gambling becomes part of your daily life it means that you're addicted to it.

Well, gambling is part of my daily life but I don't think I am addicted. If I play about 30 minutes per day on average or even less can I be called a gambling addict? I think the answer is no, considering the fact that I have lost less than $100 in total in more than 2 years of gambling.

I'm just not planning to get rich with it and that's why I never lose much. Gamble for fun, don't try to earn with it.
11053  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: October 27, 2016, 10:23:18 AM
yes there is no doubt about this that bitcoin is already an international currency as you can see people in this forum from all over the world.
Nice example, we can se that on this forum no one care for the ethnicity and the nationality of any one which exposes the feature of bitcoin that it is international currency and do not create any border among the people.

I agree. I just want to add let's keep it going. We are really having a multinational community here and it's nice to see that nationality has no meaning for most people here.

Every currency in the world, or almost every currency with very rare exceptions, carries national symbols and only Bitcoin is truly international.
11054  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What does the world think of Trump on: October 27, 2016, 10:14:28 AM
All democratic countries support Hillary Clinton, and such an aggressive country like Russia supports Trump.

I don't think we can tell that Russia supports Trump. Trump is saying that he wants to make America great again and I seriously doubt that Russia, or the most population of Russia to be exact, likes that idea.

Personally I think that we are not living in times when a single person can decide the destiny of many nations. Every president has a big crew of professionals and they, together with political opponents, will make the decisions, not him alone.
11055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and mystic on: October 27, 2016, 09:59:13 AM
I don't know whether it has something to do with  mystic, but gambling a lot I've noticed this: when gambling with 50% win chance you have already had 10 consecutive losses and you are almost 100% sure that you will hit the right number in the next 2 bets (which is also reasonable becuase you are betting with 50% win chance), you are losing those 2 bets too, always. Although I know this from my own experience I can't stop myself from betting being in exactly this situation. Isn't that a mystical thing?

I think this is more of a psychological rather than a mystical thing, as it is completely reasonable losing 12 bets in a row on 50/50 chance because of the house edge. You can check your bets with the provably fair option if you are unsure.

No, no I'm not unsure or anything like that. I know that the numbers are completely random and I know that the game is provably fair and that I can check any bet. I'm just talking about this feeling that you will definitely win in the next 2 or 3 bets and for that reason you are risking big amounts and you lose them.

Oh yes, definitely, this happens to me as well. I think it's because we pay much more attention when we bet big, as opposed to when we bet on small amounts, so it feels like we lose every time we bet big. For example, I don't care much whether I win or lose when playing with faucet money, but I get very nervous and pay close attention to big bets. That, or the site is just cleverly rigged.

Since I'm playing on sites where games are provably fair I don't think it's possible for them to be "cleverly rigged." So that's why I'm talking about a kind of a mystic experience here. Why? Why do we always lose exactly in cases when we are sure we will definitely win?
11056  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: October 26, 2016, 09:47:34 AM
There is something wicked happening often to the 24 hour btc won counter, it just keeps on counting up, even tho the numbers are quite unrealistic.

It continues growing until refresh, but then it just showed 0 btc won..

That counter is broken for several weeks now. Besides that it is just btc won and not the full stats so it's misleading.

Just don't pay attention to any numbers given by primedice.

That's a sad thing to hear about my favorite dice site, but unfortunately it's not far from the truth. Take those Loyalty Achievements for example in your personal stats, they wouldn't change however long you are the member of PD.

In general the site is operating okay, but I think it's better whether to fix the above mentioned bugs or to remove the features.
11057  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: October 26, 2016, 09:01:06 AM
while you are waiting for $100, i am waiting for atleast $1,000 to happens, maybe not this year, but probably next year. holding a few coins stash waiting for the big one

I don't wait for $100 because IMO even anything below $500 is unlikely to happen. On the other hand I don't think we can expect $1,000 this or even next year if we are not talking about a bulb which we don't want. The more realistic predicition is $700-$750 next year. And of course it will hit $1,000 but in 2 or 3 years probably.
11058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true? beginners in gambling are the luckiest? on: October 26, 2016, 08:33:52 AM
I have mixing feelings about this. There is no logic in thinking that beginners have more luck than old players but from my own experience, I really was more lucky when I just started gambling and I've heard many stories which prove the same. I know it sounds stupid, okay, but that's what I've heard and what I've experienced myself.
11059  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How can I beginner get started mining bitcoin on: October 26, 2016, 08:24:52 AM
I'm looking to start mining bitcoins I have a couple desktops I can use and one decent laptop can someone point me in the right direction.

If you really want to mine Bitcoins and you don't want to burn your "decent laptop" you might want to have a look here:

https://www.bitmain.com/

Some people say they are the best in the business, but of course you can decide for yourself taking a look at Mining hardware comparison:

11060  Economy / Gambling / Re: Boiled Brains - new game on: October 26, 2016, 08:15:53 AM
Boiled Brains is a easy, logical game for two players.
This is like turn-based TRON.
We are currently testing Boiled Brains. If you help us, you receive bonus from us.

I have registered on your site in order to test it, but it looks like it's impossible to do anything there without depositing or am i getting this wrong? What can I do there to test your site? What does "Remained moves" mean?

Now I'm really confused. Maybe that's why it is called "Boiled Brains" though. Smiley
I think it is the games site for people to people so if you went there alone then it will be impossible for you to play alone on that site. and if there is no any trial game then yes you will deposit first.

I can see that OP is not online after his 5 posts.

I'm not online but I still observing this discussion

So, what should I do to play? I'm sorry but I don't get it. I have entered the game and then this "WAITING" has appeard, so I waited and then 6 blue squares were appearing on the top of the existing square, one by one. Then I've got this: "Remained moves: 3". What should I do next? I was clicking on almost every square but nothing happened.
