... Is there any other way to restore the program or recover the VPN coins...

I don't think so, if you cannot locate your wallet file then you SOL. Sad

It doesn't matter if you can prove you have those coins in a wallet, the Devs can't just create coins out of thin air. Unless they hardfork and that ain't gonna happen for somones coins. You need to get in a scheduled backup if you want to play in these markets.

This goes for all None token coins as well. BTW FYI token coins are mostly all scams.

I managed to recover my wallet and the wallet.dat file and about 37610 VPN of the 175,000 coins.  Good news! Being married to a software engineer has it's advantages.

Where (what) is the rpc consule? ..... Please type repairewallet in wallet's rpc console, and then press Enter button,
Lost coin will back soon.  How do you do this if needed?

RPC == Remote procedure Call, IOW there is a command line console to enter that text in. I am not sure where it is on this wallet as I've not had to use it. Just check all the menu's or I'm sure Vpncoin can tell you. It may be a separate exe but I doubt it.

Either way you guys have really stepped up! Great game to watch. Smiley
11064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 02, 2016, 11:29:59 PM
..

Would you also be willing to bet on it?
Dammit you ninja'd me! teach to get distracted in the middle of a post.

BTW make sure the definition is more solid. I.E. Abandoned

And let us all know how much XMR your willing to put behind your mouth primer. I'll bet that will get funded faster than the proposal itself!
11065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: February 02, 2016, 11:24:08 PM
^^ Option to allow plugins for XMR.to and ShapeShift.io, wow!!

So because it would allow shapeshift, does that mean the GUI would be able to hold Bitcoin too?

No it means you could enter a BTC address and pay using the XMR in your wallet via xmr.to or shapeshift. Potentially, I suppose a plug in to hold BTC is not out of the question but that is not the originally envisioned use case.

Very good thought.
11066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 02, 2016, 11:09:22 PM
** Funding required to complete the official GUI **

https://forum.getmonero.org/8/funding-required/2476/the-official-qt-gui-project

PS: Even if you don't have an account you are able to contribute, just press the contribute button and it will explain how to donate.

"The proposal is to raise 14,000 XMR for 280 hours of work, which is approximately 25.00$ per hour. Ilya will work 10 hours per week"

6+ months, wow! Reminds me of freebazar / dwarfpool / atrides scam.
Why 'outsource' such an important task ?
Why don't 'core' devs get their hands dirty ?!

'Core' devs are fucking noobs, their only achievement was forking the bytecoin code...

Try reading once in awhile.

You can now trade BTCU over at https://safecex.com/market?q=BTCU/BTC

Lol seems the price just have crashed since then

I doubt it, there is not much trade over there.
Probably some updates from dev should help in this. BTW any news on airdrop?
Quote
AirDrop Details

Airdrop applications are open from 01/28/2016 to 05/02/2016.

After this application stage is ended we'll check the entries for the AirDrop to avoid scammers, double entries, people who wants to game the system etc.
This may took some time, depending on the amount of request received, but no more than 48 hours from 05/02/2016 (05 February)

When coins distribution for AirDrop will effectively commence we'll start distributing following the sequential timestamp of the submissions. First come, first serve Wink .

Enjoy.

Just read the zcash AMA and I came away a bit unconvinced. Some CN related comments in the second page

https://forum.bitcoin.com/post16238.html#p16238

It looks like they are very much set with the 10% "Founder's fee" and being pretty much a Bitcoin code base with zero knowledge for enhanced privacy and fungibility. Because of their non threatening stance and some associated names, they will surely be pushed and positioned over Monero with more whales supporting it financially as well as via marketing and networking.

XMR has so much going for it in every way, just not the cash flow it truly deserves.

Correct, the only real whale has been boned multiple times. This crypto is completely sound but there is so much manipulation that even the believers are confounded. This is the future bt it is so obfuscated THAT there is no way to telli'm not sure what the end will bE there are so many forces at work that it is INSANE.

...I don't like the fact people are using the app. inclusion to pump their short-term 'projects' without NOXT/app. benefiting so much itself in return....

Can you elaborate on this? I have no clue what it is referring to.
11075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 01, 2016, 02:34:22 PM
It feels like XMR will never get a break from this endless selling pressure.

I hear you...I don't really understand it as well. Not really much room to make good profits shorting either. Around 100 k has always been the bottom.

If I could find my tinfoil hat I'd say something just doesn't like us or wants it all. Either way I ain't going nowhere! Tongue

Not to mention whales gonna dive then come up for air.

Anyone have a complete blockchain for this Litebar?

No need to look for the whole blockchain this coin has been dead for quite sometime.

I think this in the title says it all. Cheesy

<fluffypony>  we don't have enough info on the ringct effort or on the state of the dev branch right now anyway

Why not?

RingCT integration task is not fully defined yet as the standalone crypto code was just recently completed.

Work on the dev branch was put suspended to focus on the 0.9 and 0.9.1 releases (and will remain so until the upcoming point release).

That makes sense except "on the state of the dev branch right now anyway", who has responsibility to maintains it and shouldn't the devs always be up to date on its state? How can you even have a meeting without this info? Or am I misreading this somehow?

We know where it is relative to master; the context is that we need to establish what regressions we've introduced to 0MQ (if any).

So "state" refers to "regression state", "buildable state", and "releaseable state".

Hah! Didn't think you were gonna have to elaborate a statement in a dev meeting to a layman did you! Smiley

Thx for the clarification. Statements like that hang out there and if not expanded upon for the masses will always be interpreted in a less than forgiving light. Wink

i count queen in 7 and he gets queen in 6?
If I'm correct we get our Queen before white does with his pawn on f4.

I still count white first?
