Lauda on the other hand has basically said that he doesn't care if the BTC was stolen and has said that he does not care how receiving this BTC looks to outsiders.
Tl;dr: It's none of your business what I do with it. Unless contacted by law enforcement, I have the right to do what I want with the money (this goes for every single person that received a donation).

I get the suspicion here, but I'm skeptical to say the least.   What would TF's motivation be here for paying mods?  It just doesn't make sense that they would make it this transparent.  I would definitely like to hear what they have to say about it, because a known scammer sending money to mods does seem weird.  Then again it's not my business.
We have both replied on the previous page. It seems to me that you've just posted in order to up your post count.

Moderators are not able to unlock your account. You have to wait for one of the administrators to handle this. Generally these things take a lot of time as they have very low priority. Please be patient.

11083  Other / Meta / Re: Account Banned on: August 05, 2016, 04:08:17 PM
when is my account restriction ended thank you for the reply
Most likely never. Copy-pasting posts is a permanently bannable offense. I've also noticed that you've applied for a signature campaign which is not surprising at all.
11084  Other / Meta / Re: New investigations board & restrictions on posting personal information on: August 05, 2016, 02:05:08 PM
Fair enough. Will you move all of their posts or ask nicely to change the sig? What if the user is banned?
AFAIK no moderator is able to directly influence the signature of another user. However, in this case they would be breaking the rules and thus they would be warned and asked to remove it. When a user gets banned their signature will get removed (this is a 'recent' change), and thus they could just be "re-banned" which would remove their signature. This is generally the work area of global moderators, but this is how it could be handled (from my perspective).
11085  Other / Meta / Re: New investigations board & restrictions on posting personal information on: August 05, 2016, 01:30:26 PM
I believe doxxing is illegal?
No, it is not. A DOX is (usually) a collection of publicly available information.

If someone has dox in their signature do we report one post or all posts and how will moderators deal with that?
Usually when we are talking about a multiple of posts (for whatever reason), reporting a singular one is going to be enough if the report is properly written.

11086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / MOVED: Can you buy anything with Bitcoins?? on: August 05, 2016, 11:41:28 AM
This topic has been moved to Trashcan.
Reason: This thread serves no purpose anymore, except for spamming and post padding. All future threads that look like this will be removed as well.
11087  Other / Meta / Re: PSA: This Place is being moderated by TradeFortress! on: August 05, 2016, 11:35:23 AM
Although this forum is not a political party and should not have to explain where all their donations come from when something like this pops up is does raise some questions. 1000btc is no small amount.
What does the forum have to do with that 1000 BTC? We are talking about a total amount of 3 BTC that we received because we were in the IRC chatroom (along with several other people) where this person showed up.

Yes that's how it works, then I send 0.001btc to you and I'm your boss. Its Bribing Simulator 2017.
A minimum of 1 BTC is required for you to be my boss, did you not know that?

11089  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: August 05, 2016, 10:43:45 AM
Now he has the moderators on his payroll.
Here we go again. Sorry QS, neither you nor TF have enough funds to have me on your payroll. Roll Eyes

Now I see why you like Lauda so much. He will willing to censor threads that are allowed but are hurtful to you --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1576103.0
There's a distinct difference between censoring and moderation. The thread was used to troll and thus is not allowed. It showed up on the first page of Services for me even thought it is old (March).
11090  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC Giveaway - what might be happening. on: August 05, 2016, 07:58:43 AM
I didn't say that is a problem, you only received part of stolen bitcoins from probably TF (it's not a problem).
What makes you say that it was stolen? It's also possible that they're part of some personal stash. There isn't conclusive evidence at the moment because Bitcoin is pseudo-anonymous. I actually didn't even post my vanity address, yet they decided to send the funds there.

I agree. Getting 1kBTC in possibly stolen money will cause a lot of sleepless nights, figuring out what to do with it, and hopefully getting some legitimate profit out of it.
What are you talking about? There is no "legitimate profit" from stolen money. There's only legitimate jail time.
11091  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC Giveaway - what might be happening. on: August 05, 2016, 07:50:34 AM
Like pocket the money and keep silent?  Grin
You'd need to do a lot more if you want to avoid getting arrested (in the case that they're stolen).

So Lauda, you took 1 btc without any problem... right ?
Why would there be a problem? Everyone who was on IRC at that time and had posted an address had received 1 BTC (excluding Mitchell, he got 2 BTC - I guess because he was the first to respond).
11092  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC Giveaway - what might be happening. on: August 05, 2016, 07:45:18 AM
Again, the coins that have been given to others have nothing to do with bitfinex.

In fact, he is relating himself as bitfinex hacker quite often.
He stated it on IRC if I remember this correctly. The giveaway started from there anyways.

Also judging by the number of people with deep green trust participating in this 'giveaway' apparently feedback means jack shit in the grand scheme of things and everyone claiming to be a saint or a vigilante on this forum is nothing more than a sleazy businessman pulling a long con  Grin
False. There's nothing wrong with posting your address in that thread, that does not make you any less trustworthy than you already are. It comes down to what one would do in the case that they won and it was proven to be stolen money.

At least the now locked thread made it possible to see what the Bitcoin community looks like from inside out  Wink
We locked it because OP was hacked and it was being spammed by beggars that kept creating new accounts.
11093  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: August 05, 2016, 07:38:54 AM
Thanks!  I was going to look this up but you beat me to it.  It seems that Lauda has inherited the unfortunate roll of brunt of Quickseller's massive alt army attacks.  After me, the crown fell to dooglus, now it seems it has passed to Lauda.
I think I didn't keep good track of the situation with dooglus, I do recall the attack on you though.

Lauda, hang in there, eventually QS gets burnt out and moves onto smearing someone else.
Thanks. Even though I don't prefer drama and threads like these since they waste time, I don't mind:

in these 13 pages not a single reason as to why Lauda should not be a mod.
I'm still waiting for the (failed) attempt at getting my DOX.

It is sorta hillarious that he's now using his alt to say that people shouldn't take money from TF, seeing as he's practically thumping his chest about it in that other thread.
Hypocrisy? Cheesy

Quickseller has a very unhealthy obsession with me.   Undecided
You aren't the only one apparently, the obsession with you just isn't over yet. Thus, that's quite unfortunate.
11094  Other / Meta / Re: Was my thread moved to the wrong section? on: August 05, 2016, 07:28:21 AM
I just assumed "blockchain" would fall under Bitcoin Discussion since "blockchain" is one of underlying systems within Bitcoin and I thought I've seen many "What is a blockchain?" and other such threads there.
Those threads fall into Bitcoin Discussion since they aren't directed at anything else, just the underlying technology that is used in Bitcoin. In the case of your thread, you are discussing the underlying technology (the blockchain) oriented directly towards altcoins. Consequently, this is why it was moved to the Altcoin Discussion section.

So I guess you are correct and the reason is because it addresses the current Ethereum issue (knee jerk to altcoin).
He is correct.

11096  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC Giveaway - what might be happening. on: August 04, 2016, 10:44:03 PM
If this guy thinks answering when several people have accusations against them shouldn't have to answer because of their level here is moderator then this is a broken system of hierarchy and should be re-evaluated to say the least.
That's ad hominem and irrelevant to the thread.

You would fit right in.
I think it's time to work on better QS-detection software.

LOLwat, the super hack with thousands of coins to burn has been hacked?
That is correct.

this has been told several times, those are not bitfinex funds
Correct. They likely stem from Inputs.io or something prior to that. They are from 2013 (easily traceable via the blockchain). Some people just prefer voicing their ignorance instead of reading.
11097  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC Giveaway - what might be happening. on: August 04, 2016, 10:21:50 PM
Wow nice answer from staff. And how we can trust people like Lauda?Huh
Being nice has nothing to do with being trustworthy. The greedy people jumping on the giveaway bandwagon don't deserve anything better considering their unjustified demands.

You got money from this addy 1BfxSuxJqXuizBbTcP238JZY9DT4eqvzJG and this is probably TRADEFORTRESS addy.
That is potentially owned by TF, but there is no conclusive proof. I'm just one of the few people that was on IRC at the right time. Anyone who posted an address on time received Bitcoin. Honestly, I think that the giveaway is just trickery and will never happen. The coin that were sent to several people were likely intended to give the giveaway legitimacy.

And you are so rude wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was rude? Strange.

11099  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC Giveaway - what might be happening. on: August 04, 2016, 10:08:09 PM
If this is true which I don't think it is. Then there will be alot of questions to answer from this moderator
It is true. The funds that were sent to everyone (several people) excluding myself were from another source, not the address advertised in the giveaway thread. Also, nobody has to answer anything to anyone. Stop posting bullshit and wasting time. The thread has been locked due to OP most likely being compromised.
