Is it because I do not own too many bitcoins that I believe this correction is good or am I just naive?

I've pulled every single coin from gox. That statement is a child's response to a man's problem. They need to hire some proper programmers, expert financial traders, and get a management team. It's pretty fucking stupid to have the entire market crash when gox goes down. They've been dealing with +10 minute lag (the lag yesterday was over an hour) for so long, i refuse to believe it's not on purpose.
+1. Can I ask a stupid question? (I guess I will): How fast can all the big major bitcoin whales get together, put up a strategy to create and open a BRAND NEW exchange with a structure to scale all the way up to NASDAQ-like backbones if needed? Put your money where your mouth is pay a team of MIT-skilled programmers that are so smart they are into nuclear fusion as a hobby THEN you will see things to move better with more confidence. EVEN If you are only in for the quick bucks, think about it: who is more at risk to lose 50% of its bitcoins fortunes with amateurs?

All the big bitcoin accounts should start voting with their coins and spread them to other exchanges. There is no need for Mt.Gox client to feel happy like a beaten wife every time. I mean you would not do this if it was your fiat money using some tools like E trade or something else that would be responsible for crashing down the whole market...
DDoS attack I would "understand" the excuse.

Hello! pending Order #3302 (since April 2, 2013) here again.
I have updated my account to reflect (and prove) that I can receive SMS from you. Under Fax number is the number you can send SMS to. According to the email I received yesterday you sent me an SMS at the number listed on my account. This is my home number. That number is not able to receive any SMS. I am just writing this here just in case the support service in charge on that thread is in sync with the support service in charge for the email reply
I will update this thread with my experience many times until this little misunderstanding is resolved.
Take care BTCquick.com

This is not about traditional economics This is about how to deal with DDOS attacks when:
quote: " bitparking is not running Mt Gox has problems BTC-E has problems bitcoincharts.com also not running bitcointalk seems to be also overloaded " bitcoin-24.com is down bitcoin.de is down
CampBX is running without problems and handling the dip with minimal lag. Give us a try please! This is the first time I hear from you. Maybe you are not being attacked because of are "under the radar" (at least for me)? You should start advertising on bitcoinchannel and other bitcoin related sites. So bitcoin is totally decentralized and yet everyone is being bitchslapped by Mt.Gox's DDoS or whatever other issues they have and people are still using their business? Why? Maybe it was a bubble burst and I do not think it was a bad thing, but this could be a problem if it becomes the "new normal"

Half full or half...
this is gooood news. Don't forget: bitcoin is there for the very long run, beyond our retirement age, and beyond. Those who own a lot of bitcoin should invest now so to consolidate and make all those weak spots stronger, or totally irrelevant from DDoS. If they chose not too then we know another DDoS will happen at ~ $266, $366, $466, $566, $666, over and over again... This is working so well for their war (it is a war: multiple vector attacks to make a lot of money)

but what is the total valuation of google, facebook, twitter, ebay today? You want some pet food or pet toys online? Get it on Amazon.

StormFront for Bitcoin? Sad...

Vimeo Staff pick!
As for the data he should stated the dates next to each values so it would have been correct for the price (but not for the 50 bitcoins)

funny, i had the same thought as LoweryCBS this morning. at the current bitcoin value, the central bank can theoretically buy and hold on to the majority of bitcoins existing. then by trading them fluctuate the market price, make the market jump between 200 and zero or better yet simulate a crush every time the coin starts to rise over a certain price in the foreseeable future. would that kill bitcoin? probably not, bitcoin is an idea. but look at what happened to socialism...
Somebody bought up the idea of Socialism and ended up bankrupt. Every time. Bitcoin is the nemesis of Socialism.

I have never understood why people think it is such a taboo to talk about ones net worth or salary.
It is linked to the culture and the general financial situation of a population where you grew up. I have a couple of Haitian friends down in Florida. They are sending money to families members back to the island. Kidnapping for ransom is sadly a regular hazard over there. Broadcasting your wealth or the perception you may have more than the "average" (in some part of Haiti, not the whole island) would be like putting a bulls-eye on your back.

So I am guessing the logo project is out of question as it seems the company is out of commission for a while.

So can people submit more than one logo?

Waiting is not problem as long as you get updated by the company. I was not worried at all as I used the service already. I purchased 1 coin from them on April 1st. But this morning there was no reply from my email and the whole site is down. It could be a technical problem and I understand. My delivery status was "pending" the last time I had access to my btcquick account. The email contact is linked to the website. The benefit of the doubt is that btcquick has not receive any emails? Checking my bank account, the status is still "processing". I do not want to jump the gun and start the procedure to cancel the transaction, but I cannot afford to wait too long either without any feedback. I would simply try to get the money back and try another service.
I understand it is up to me. Since I was not the only one buying the 1 bitcoin wallet yesterday, if any of you are reading this, could you share your experience for the past 24 hrs after your purchase?
Thank you for any reply.
BTCquick.com if you are reading this, let me know what is going on. You have my info.
