As the title states.
I have been browsing through the forum to find a solution but so far failed in doing so.
It takes nearly 15-20 minutes to open, it keeps saying checking blocks, but how many times will it check them??
The previous version took around 15 minutes to open, and current version takes even longer while it was quite fast when I installed it after the update release.
Full blockchain is on my windows 7 computer, and my computer has decent specs, nothing to worry about.
Are there any nodes that I need to add in order to get it working faster? Not sure what the problem is.

They forgot to mention his fourth problem... that he didn't buy earlier on when few took it seriously.
Uhhh.... Are you serious? Look up his net worth. He's not in need of a few millions that he potentially could have had if buying Bitcoin as early adopter.

Did anybody else notice a large sale of Bitcoin, spread across essentially all major marketplaces, at about 2 PM on Sunday 22 February 2015?
Can anyone think of a single reason why somebody with that much coin to sell wouldn't have waited for a weekday when the markets are deeper? I mean, unless the timing is deliberately chosen to move the price by the maximum possible?
A whale doesn't necessarily have to sell to get rid of coins. These guys are playing and teasing on a daily basis trying to trigger panic reactions, etc. They know very well what they do to get Bitcoin price a few bucks higher or lower.

The smartest people (very early adopters) in Bitcoin had the chance to get filthy rich very quickly.
This isn't the case anymore. Sure, if you have a load of fiat to trade with you can make good profits, but it won't be anything like some years ago.
But hey, no one knows how much Bitcoin is worth in 2020... Perhaps WE are still early adopters.

Those who wait will keep waiting ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Have patience and do something else. If you bought at +$700 then you made a big mistake. At that point you should be selling instead of buying. Wait since you have nothing to lose.

It's not that difficult at all. I provided a link to a family member to download the wallet.
And everything else was so easy (setting up, sending and receiving, etc) that he didn't ask me for help.
He had everything set up and was ready to go. He bought $50 worth of Bitcoin and got it instantly in his wallet.
It is a non tech person, if he can do it, then others can as well.

Quite frankly, the Bitcoin infrastructure isn't ready for another big rally just now. But I think in 6 months this will be looking much more solid for a hard rally.
I agree that it isn't ready for mass adoption yet. Waiting 6 months won't do much unless something big is going to happen. For that to happen a fork is necessary. I think we need to wait at least another full year or so.

Best way to support the Bitcoin economy is to spend and almost everything online can be bought with BTC. Makes sense to instant convert and buy whatever you need with BTC.
But don't the merchants instead also sell those btc instantly back into Fiat ? They do, but their benefit is that they don't have to deal with ridiculous fees. They don't have to worry about chargebacks and other stuff that is only a pain in the ass. I'm sure there will be a point that merchants will at least keep 25% of the coins they receive from sales.

Liverpool managed to win at home with a wonderful goal from Coutinho.
The gap between City and United is only 5 points now.
If Arsenal wins from Everton they will be only 4 points behind.

I read an article just the other day where the BTC Foundation and a few others were embarking on a polish marketing campaign with some agency. So, we'll see how it turns out as time goes by.
Edit: They make mention of that in this article too and I agree that a little extra PR could help the cause among the masses.
Extra PR is always good. But aren't we as community also part of this whole system? It would help if we as Bitcoin believers also make people in our near environment aware of the benefits of Bitcoin compared to current fiat. We can wait and wait for others to do the work, but if everyone makes an effort it could be even better. For example, if you know some one with a store, tell that person if he is interested in having an extra payment option. Explain to him what the benefits are, that they don't have to deal with insane fees, no chargebacks, etc.

It's great that Mega will use Bitcoin as main payment method, but it's not interesting enough for large traders to get bullish.
I'm interested to find out how many traders can keep their patience.
If it stays like this for a week or so they will sell off some of their coins.

Domain is sold to Master-P can you please confirm. Thanks.

Chinese exchanges are on steroids. Man, what is up with their volume?
I know they don't charge anything for trading but it looks quite surreal.

Due to overspamming we added two positions to the rules:
Important update - We don't pay for posts less than 75 symbols length. - We don't pay for posts in Off-topic / Games and rounds / Alternate cryptocurrencies and this thread.
Good news. Gives you more value for your money. Off-topic and especially posting in this thread should never get rewarded anyway. But why does the Bitmixer bot count this post from me still?

Buying 3 more bitcoins now. I'd rather have bitcoins now than euros.
Yeah I feel you man, Euro rate is rubbish. I'm glad I hold Bitcoins which gives me a good feeling ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Hold your coins for as long as you can and enjoy.

I dunno, Satoshi hasn't been paid for his invention yet. So maybe the first thing he would need is to get paid. Possibly collect royalties first. Everything else is yet to be considered.
Royalties..? It is open source man. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Beside the fact that Bitcoin is open source, Satoshi himself doesn't need any royalties. He has plenty enough Bitcoins to retire on if he wanted to. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

tbh it would be no problem to buy every bitcoin as long as they can pay with fiat.
They can because they can generate an endless supply of fiat whenever they want. Will they do that? I don't think so. Bitcoin at this point with its current market cap is in no way a threat for them. But that might change in the future, which is why they don't like it.

I use gmail for many years which seems to do a decent job.
Some people don't like it regarding their privacy, but you should never leave sensitive data in your mail box.
