1122  Bitcoin / Project Development / How to create a coin-flip type address? on: December 25, 2013, 07:56:56 PM
How would one go in the process of creating an address in which when somebody sent some coins to it, it would have a 50% chance of keeping the coins and a 50% chance of sending double the coins back, provided that the transaction is under half of the current wallet balance?  (Kind of like coinsflip.com, you send and it will send back if you win)

I am interested in claiming some new altcoin bounties.

How can Satoshi Dice make sending and betting automated?

Have you seen the pastafarian who wore a spaghetti colander as part of his religious duties?  Cheesy

Has anyone here got a printer?
I have access to about 4 at my library (volunteer there).

Wow, nice library!

Refs help people make money off your trades, etc.
1127  Other / Meta / Re: "Giveaway only accounts"/Sockpuppets on: December 14, 2013, 12:41:31 PM
I don't even think it's profitable to just post for givaways and stuff.  There used to be a script to get out of newbie jail that could autopost which might help with the sig payments but I don't think its operational anymore.
1128  Other / Meta / Re: Alternate channnel to know about what is going on while the forum is down? on: December 14, 2013, 12:37:43 PM
As far as IRC, you can check #bitcoin-talk or #bitcoin on Freenode (in that order) for live updates. Anything important will generally make its way to /r/bitcoin on reddit.com within a few minutes, however.

/r/bitcoin is where I usually go, but #bitcoin-talk is a good place for info too.
1129  Other / Meta / More default avatars? on: December 14, 2013, 12:36:58 PM
Would it be possible to upload a bunch of default avatars and enable only those so then people can have avatars?

Seems that a lot of newbs are complaining about that.
1130  Other / Meta / Re: Bug in post speed limit on: December 14, 2013, 12:35:16 PM
Wow, PrimeDice seems to be the thing now!  I remember when inputs.io's signature deal was all the rage.
1131  Other / Meta / Re: AlternateTrust on: December 14, 2013, 12:34:20 PM
Aren't you supposed to post reasons?
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin on an exchange? on: December 14, 2013, 12:31:19 PM
coinedup is constantly down though. I'm guessing it has something to do with the amounts of traffic from doge

Very traffic, I guess.  Much attention currency doge.  Cheesy
1133  Economy / Games and rounds / Satoshi Martingale or double or nothing on: December 14, 2013, 12:30:28 PM
On PrimeDice, is it better to use the "double bet on loss" martingale strategy or just go double or nothing until you reach 0.002, which is the minimum amount you can cashout (minus tx fees)

The chance of winning is the same, right?
1134  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for 500 word articles - $5 in BTC on: December 14, 2013, 12:26:24 PM
You can write for devcoins or something and get much more money
1135  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.4BTC/month just by posting! on: December 14, 2013, 12:25:00 PM
score! i have hit 1200 for the month.. christ, that was painful  Cheesy

currently sitting at 1482 with this post now.. will probably limit my posts to 15 per day until the 17th, as i am really worn out at this point  Cheesy Cheesy

i'll try to set my sights on 500 next month, but i don't think i will be able to make it.. 300-400 is more realistic.

congrats...  Grin but how much time a day do you spend posting on the forum?  I mean, 1200 posts is about 40 posts a day...  Roll Eyes

1200/30 = 40 posts per day
average constructive post time: 1 min 30 seconds
40 * 1.5 = 60 minutes of posting a day, and more if you do a lot.
0.4 BTC ~$375.

$375 an hour? Not too bad.

1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only 4 altcoins exist that provide additional value over bitcoin... on: December 14, 2013, 12:17:48 PM
Devcoin?  It gives coins to open source projects.  I've had some holdings in it for a long time and it recently went up 1000% on vircurex.

My guess is it will be up on Cryptsy fairly soon. COINS-E will also likely pick it up.

Awesome!
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dogecoin on an exchange? on: December 14, 2013, 12:07:34 PM
Is DOGE on an exchange yet?  There's a lot of potential for this coin.
