Thank you Ercolinux!  I agree with you that it's very good stuff.  I am trying to get more right now and hope to have some soon.

If anyone is interested in the chrysanthemum or the blended Chinese medicine send me a PM for a special offer.

1133  Economy / Auctions / Re: 24 hour auction **Natural lemon quartz from Brazil 8.40 cts** big emerald cut on: March 19, 2012, 12:59:51 PM
SOLD to the BigPiggy!  Good choice; this is a really beautiful stone and it is a very good size.  Collectors seem to prefer stones that are 1 carat and up overall, but between 5-10 carats you get something that you can really heft in your hand!

Hi Bitplane- unfortunately with shipping costs so high I don't think large bottles will work.  I could reduce the price of the honey a bit for a large order but the cost to ship such a heavy parcel would be prohibitive.  Sorry about that; I wish I could help.

I have just found a couple of items that I think will be of interest to some of you.  I went shopping today in Chinatown and visited several Chinese medicine shops.  I found a couple that was friendly and had good English and also much lower prices than the other shops.  They were quite busy while I was there so that is probably a good sign too- it is often OK to trust the shops that locals use.

I picked up some of their most popular items.  The first is dried chrysanthemum flowers.  This is used to make a tea that is delicious to drink, but also has some healing properties and many Chinese believe it aids digestion, helps cool the body, can treat acne and relieves dizzy spells and headaches.  It may also relieve varicose veins and hemorrhoids as many take it to improve circulation.

100 grams of these premium dried chrysanthemum flowers is 2.5BTC including delivery.  You will get a tracking number and it will ship via registered air mail.

The next item is the most popular in this couple's shop and it is a blend of nine different herbs that work together to aid in digestion and alleviate problems with the intestines and whole digestive tract.  It is also believed to restore energy and improve circulation- not surprising since it contains chrysanthemum and eight other herbs.  The blend of herbs is also supposed to improve heart and lung function.

This blend comes in its own cotton cloth boiling bag, and you bring 2 liters of water to a boil then add the herbs.  Boil for 45 minutes or until approximately half of the water is gone.  Remove the bag and discard.  Allow the herbal medicine to cool and drink.

1 bag of this nine herb blend is 10BTC.  I would consider selling half of a bag for 5BTC, but if you order half of a bag you won't get a boiling bag.  If these sell well I will look into getting more bags to divide them up more easily.  The bag has no special function- you can just as easily boil the herbs and then strain the finished product with a strainer or some cheesecloth to remove the herbs.

If you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to answer.  If I don't know I might have to ask on my next trip to this shop.

da2ce7- I will meet you half way.  I will update availability here.  And if you are willing to scroll down just a bit to the end of the thread, you will also see what other goodies I am offering.

The big hit is in the shipping, but let me work on some Thai honey tomorrow.  I may be able to offer two 100ml bottles for 7BTC while the Burmese is 7.5BTC.  I don't know yet- let me poke around a bit.

But, yes- there are these flowers that they sell for making tea here.  I forget the name.  I might try to get my hands on some of those as well.

As of right now this is availability:

Burmese honey- SOLD OUT

Thai honey- not yet in stock

Dried flowers for tea- not yet in stock

Please check back soon for more information, and maybe even some new pictures!
