1121  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Failed to submit review and also did not refund the payment. on: August 11, 2023, 03:24:05 PM
Jamyr is surely a familiar username on the forum and whatever the excuse might be on the user’s part, it better be a dammed good one because, it ain’t funny having to bridge a contract the way it all played out. Not taking caution like informing the manager on any development that might result to delays or not having to meet up with the agreements as specified in Ann thread or not heeding the manager’s request for a refund within a set date.

What is worst, the coin appears to have been sent from the received address and not to the manager’s refund address but actually spent possibly in two phases.

First phase: BTC0.00270000 ($81.22)
Transaction Hash: b878264e8b78b63587f380b95590d0fb7a584b606923edfbd99026fb4ea9052c
Recipient Address: 1ASmUNgzwyD2kUxbH96ungfqMZvpQacnGs
Change address: bc1qjuruw650aqp0le6cq2v8yh7ur6pvujxsf4es02

Second phase: BTC0.00023968 ($7.21)
Transaction Hash: ed35599c6403525129693213e5d52844a609a3cc3cc3d1c51c3dc2ece7e54dc5
Recipient Address: 3LbqPh4cK41cCcpNWtn8pq2hFsEt99AnQ2

All these transactions played out within 4th and 5th of august, 2023.
I think one who could find the time to make all these transactions should as well make room for the contract or do the necessary to maintain reputation. On these notes, it’s hard not to support flag so, yeah.

User haven’t proven to be good with loans and at the time,
Has an active loan with Darkstar of which, might just prove the inevitable!

Red flag supported!
1122  Economy / Economics / Re: Connect data to accelerate cashless payments on: August 10, 2023, 11:42:14 PM
This is happening mainly because the fees paid by entrepreneurs and the self-employed have been considerably reduced. Twenty years ago it was impractical to accept card payments for $2 payments. Besides, nowadays it is more convenient because we carry the card in our cell phone.
Carry debit cards on your device, that's something I was particularly impressed about upon discovery although, I've been very skeptical in using the innovation, having all my details spread out even though, it's just within the mobile banking app.
Still, it cuts across the risk of losing your cards as per misplacing it and to those who might sort you for credit/debit card scams with pos machines and even having to grab it off you. Even forgetfulness don't get to be a hindrance to getting your transactions done.

Still, cashless policy remains a growing part of our finance system and while mayight sort safety in abstinence, its gaining gradual penetration into the means by which people pay for goods and services and would in turn, reduce what pull be spent in minting notes.
1123  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the market still profitable for new projects? on: August 10, 2023, 11:09:35 PM
So my question is: is this market still profitable for new projects?
Apparently,  ther3 continues go be more and more of these new projects as you have noted but should you look at it, you'll find that this is only made possible due to the fact that, investors haven't given up on the trends that it just might have some opportunities. While the early bird gets to eat the worm, there are just others that would be left with nothing in the end and surely, not the project initiators. They often get to take there bit and are off.
Hence, having to be amongst the first set of investors happens to be key for these pump and dump projects.
My evaluation would be  its still profit worthy for two set of investors and that be the eay bird and the project initiators otherwise, you wouldn't find these projects popping up regularly.
1124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is all what they say about bitcoin true? on: August 10, 2023, 10:39:38 PM
"Bitcoin is not all about happiness" can a little more light be thrown on this?
Well, it’s a matter of context as to what is being referred, it’s way too ambiguous.
For some reason, many seem to view bitcoin for what good it could do, has done and continues to do in the lives of people. Still, there are those that have had there life’s thwarted by the innovation, those who have came by certain loses by believing too much or having yo think that cryptocurrency would solve all there life’s problems, especially when it has to do with finance.
You have to fine means and that would be means to shift your idea from viewing it for a get rich scheme and realize that it’s just a currency with other benefits so, you don’t get disappointed in the events that your ideas don’t get to play out.
1125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the way to Prosperity for a Determined Dreamer on: August 10, 2023, 03:44:56 PM

I have learned to understand that any type of investment is risky but want to risk something that has the potential to change my financial situation. With this aspects bitcoin is much worthy to invest.

I really appreciate your decision to choose Bitcoin as a profitable investment place. Your understanding of the potential and risks that can arise from investment will make you stronger when you face pressure that you never expected before. The movement of Bitcoin which is always fluctuating makes Investors need to be patient and not easily panic when the market is in the red, trust in Bitcoin will provide peace when a value dump occurs. Continue to fight for your financial situation, your trust in Bitcoin will lead you to a better financial increase when the price reaches the point you want.
While you pitch your tent in a growing world order, it’s important to note that, bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies within the crypto space doesn’t have or serve any guarantee of wealth within a definite period for a people. It doesn’t even provide continual and periodic income not except your best at what your doing in the form of trading but, we all know no one could be much of an expert in that. It’s always a make some wins and some loses for most.

It remains a welcomed idea to take up bitcoin investment but, it would be a best idea to diversify into other forms of making and supporting a livelihood to sustain you through a wait time on the target value or plans for your hodlings.
This involves you having other businesses, developing a skill in which you can monetize and more of those to support yourself and family.
1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin best option to invest on: August 10, 2023, 03:31:56 PM
It's good to invest in bitcoin but let us remember that it's a virtual and any money and profit we make in bitcoin should be directed to establish another business that will be seen physically and be managed physically.
While you might have been clear and decisive on some of the points raced, having to warn that bitcoin is just some virtual currency on the web leaves me to think it’s less practical like we have in paper and government backed up money.

That doesn’t sit well with me as o wouldn’t understand it. How much virtual do we have in a softly placed figures in mobile banking and still, we consider it money?
How much more do we have on the virtual traded currencies and other commodities in the FX market for its values?
Let’s not forget even though we know better that, it is assumed or we are being let to believe that, every single USDT out there is backed with a physical dollar and if that be any true, there we have it with backings and value to it as a virtual asset with the pegging.

The highest backing bitcoin might ever need it’s what it’s got and that’s the backing of the people.
1127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can Bitcoin provide food for our table on: August 09, 2023, 11:49:37 PM
At first I want to use this medium to introduce myself, I'm a Smartgoat and I have being studying the futuristic of Bitcoin and finally I have developed a hundred percent love to Bitcoin. .
You being a 100% on bitcoin is you ignoring some of the limitations it’s got and that’s possibly because, you are fortunate than a lot of others and despite being fortunate, the volatile nature to it is both a cause and a blessing as it is depending on your stands of the market at certain periods.
That aside, the issues with confirmation time when the market is congested is always a problem to most, making it not very suitable for everyday transacting and buying petty stuff over busy roads and from petty traders about the streets. Not to mention its need for network to operate with.

My thoughts though but, I don’t think I am or anyone should be a 100% on it.
Haven’t said that, thinking of it as some means to put food on the table don’t seem like the best approach towards taking up crypto investments. It’s much more than that and I wouldn’t want to bore you on it just yet. You find your reasons as you grow into discovering the currency and you would get more enlightenment.
1128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a frequent end of year package, a window to buy Bitcoin or Not? on: August 09, 2023, 11:29:39 PM
@OP , as of December 31, 2021, the closing price for Bitcoin was $46k+, and on December 31, 2022, the closing price for Bitcoin was also $16k+, can you tell the difference? Between the two years, which one presented a better price to acquire more Bitcoin?
From the stats above, I think what the OP ought to realize or should take out of all that is the fact that, there isn’t a period of the year for buying. The sentiment about festive seasons is that, people tend to spend more rather than invest and for commodities like bitcoin investments, there are those who would liquidate a portion of there portfolio to ensure the festive seasons remains one of merry for them and when that happens on a large scale, the price of bitcoin is being affected but that ain’t the case is it?
Bitcoins price isn’t determined by seasons and times of the year, it has no particular element to it although, the halving has been speculated to bring the bullrun and that’s just about it but then, your better of @OP using DCA in meeting up with your investments. Don’t wait for a best time, the time is never right.
1129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Chase to control the market! on: August 09, 2023, 11:20:05 PM
How do you control the market when you don’t have enough to fully provide the liquidity that would be well enough to flood the market with more coins to result a sentiment and cause an impact without the institution in itself having to lose a huge part of there hodlings should we even imagine it possible.

Many thought that only hacker scammers use Bitcoin for money laundering, drug dealing etc. But now the situation has changed and it's good to see how institution chasing each other to not be late to join the industry. The situation is so intense that now what matter most is who will control the market. In the current situation, it seems, no one wants to be the last one to jump over space.
Ignorance they say is not an excuse for the law and users not having to understand have got themselves to contend with over their insensitivity about the innovation. Of course they would stand corrected from time to time as it has been and thats going to come with them having to buy at a higher price with the market still validating the price to a bitcoin.
1130  Other / Meta / Re: Igebotz Nigerian Local Board Merit Source Application on: August 09, 2023, 11:06:48 PM
Why merit source might not be a board specific authentication and accreditation, it’s always a necessary need for the growth of a people within their locale and the appreciation of quality posts across the board.
Nigerians on the forum and within our locale have been making lots of waves and are getting a great deal of what is due but then, a merit source would be some means to set the pace for growths and even so, we’ve got credible candidates that could take up the task. I speak for users like,

@CryptoprenuerBrainboss
@Igebotz

These users are all prominent, have good trust ratings, function in the DT capaciously and have a keen knowledge of the forum. It would be a most welcomed idea and one that would enrich the forum should one of them be selected for the position.

I say, AYE to them.
1131  Other / Meta / Re: Is resetting a BTT account password bad? on: August 09, 2023, 10:08:57 PM
Ain’t nothing bad about having to change your password from time to time. In fact, it’s something you should do occasionally should you have any sense of insecurity and even when you don’t, it ain’t a bad idea and the forum has made provisions for change of passwords. Many experienced users still do change their password and in the event that you get investigated due to these changes, don’t feel so bad. It’s just a verification if it were to be you and for the rest of the forum to be safe about the account.

The only issue that could follow regular changing of password is you. You might forget or mix things up and that could be the end of it. Good enough, a signed address could aid you in recovery as concerns the forum so, you might just do that. Writing your passwords anywhere else, in a diary or on an online note pad have its measure of risk. Be guided!
1132  Economy / Economics / Re: New Research found Work from home workers to be less productive on: August 08, 2023, 11:44:16 PM
When one is committed to work from home he/she will be assigned with the proper eight hours of job. This keeps them productive, but these days work from home were like 24X7 work. This makes them really unproductive. Apart from that some companies have cut salaries, and the same will make them work according to the pay. Without reason employees won't go low in their productive work. Now most of the employees have got adopted to the work from home life style and so they don't concentrate effectively which could also be a reason for going low in productive work.
A 24/7 work from home is practically something impossible to archive. Only machines and bots can function I'm this capacity bit ven those too do suffer machine breakdown and bots needs upgrade from time to time. How much more humans.
One of the reason why individuals prefers to work from home is the luxury of having to choose a work time for themselves and 24/7 wouldn't accorx any individual such time. I think if that's what it is, we just might find everyone going out to conduct there affairs.

Still, there is no work as much as having an office space. You get the consciousness of a working environment and the chance to put in your very best and making thebest moves time realise targeted goals. Work grok joke is good but, having to go out for the field or office has a means to an even better productivity.
1133  Economy / Economics / Re: No choice but to use the unavoidable middle man, the exchange companies. on: August 08, 2023, 11:31:13 PM
You can not eliminate the middle man in businesses, especially in this digital age, be it fiat or cryptocurrencies, because they have come to stay. Big exchanges like Binance, are cashing in on being the middle man in businesses, an unavoidable indirect business associates, in your face, waiting for you to go through them.
I don't know where you get the idea of middle men or in this case, exchanges not being eliminated but all that is possible. There are just few reasons that might have made this difficult at the time and two of those are;

1. The time frame it takes for transactions to be sent and confirmed on the blockchain,
2. The issuebof trust between merchant and customers.

These are some basic factors that contributes to the delay in the system being any perfect or close to perfection.

Still, most of these works with bitcoin as altcoins haven't got much adoption as bitcoin and it's chain isn't as congested hence, the confirmation on them is easy buy still not a best choice. Your always better with bitcoin and should you he able to find a merchant to do a direct p2p way, your good otherwise,  the services of escrow is what you've got to ensure some trust and credibility.
1134  Economy / Economics / Re: It ain't meant to be easy on: August 08, 2023, 11:15:32 PM
Life! There isn't any direction to life, its multi directional and everyone has got an individual approach towards it. Depending on what side you pick or how you choose to approach it, it might be favourable our brings you to a low part of existence.

People come to the forum haven't been orientated by those who happens to have dropped by through some existing users while others might stumble on it from surfing the Web but then, has different purposes. It's important that people understand that no matter what the purpose might be, there a different means to archiving them. You might have to pursue a thing by pursuing something else. The good book says, seek first they kingdom and that entails the knowledge of thy kingdom.

Translating that to the forum, it talks about the Knowledge its got and to life, it talks about certain principles that revolved about not having things come free or just happens. Conscious efforts have to be made in other to archive.
1135  Economy / Economics / Re: Big companies will never let you have the financial freedom on: August 08, 2023, 10:43:42 PM
In one way or the other everything needs to be under control.
Apparently, we don't live in a lawless world and so long as there are laws, ther3 would be those that instill these laws and thus, have means of ensuring that these laws are functional and defaulters gets punished on their flaws. Even on the form, there exists some fomr of control or authority by some assigned users over others. Like, your account could be banned either gemporalbor permanent depending on what rule you broke.  The emphases here is control.

It's not out of place to have the government or other bodies of a platform whom you use or work with to have some control over your account and assets on them. Should you be looking towards a sole custody of your assets, your better of owning a non custodial wallet. It's important that one must learn how use certain services to be safe and having to stock coin on any centralized system has got challenges of its own.

Whne control becomes of great concern, you sorteans of escape.
1136  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 08, 2023, 06:36:28 PM
@ Real estate,
@ Cryptocurrencies and
@ Business

I think Real estate and business are sort of interwoven as, real estate is technically a business and that be making business a broad name that cover to an extent, varieties of investment choices. I don’t consider cryptocurrency to be one as it is in itself a currency and its serves rather as a market.

If we are to go by the way you’ve categorized it, without being any all crypto friendly, I’ll tell you today and any other day that business is the real deal. The world of business has proved to employ many and be very productive with good management. It’s simply a buy and sell of products while making sure you separate yourself from the business, maintain customer service and be watchful of competition.

Business comes with good turn over with demand and supply.
1137  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Life of a Crypto man on: August 06, 2023, 11:53:52 PM
In a world where cryptocurrency is still treated like an alien, every one who sees you doing great but don’t understand just how your living a cool life and not having to worry about lost things in your surrounding, you become suspicious of fraud even when there isn’t anything fraudulent about it.

That’s just how cryptocurrency has helped and keeps been disregarded by most but that shouldn’t be the case. The world around us needs to start appreciating cryptocurrencies and find means to use it in elevating others because, it gets good.
1138  Economy / Economics / Re: Helpful mineral resources on: August 06, 2023, 11:00:00 PM

There is so much corruption can do to you and it is as well taking a great turn in the social and political life’s of the African continent as a whole. Despite the wealth in human and natural resources, the continent remains one of the poorest due to an ideology that pushes everyone to seek means of getting individual wealth to keep not just for themselves but for there generations. In this, the idea of a poor Africa is established and they never believe it could get better so they don’t put much effort to make things better than the way they met it. Having stakes in all the mismanagement of funds and diversion of resources.
1139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A advise to my friend about his decision on: August 06, 2023, 04:55:31 PM
You are newbie and want to teach your friend. Are you knowledgeable enough to teach your friend?

I doubt any newbiew can teach about Bitcoin and when you are learning, you must be more careful with your words in conversation as if you make mistakes in knowledge, security advice, you don't help your friend but do something harmful.
I get the sentiment about forum ranks and what it entails when ever we see someone on the ranking pipeline. Also, the way in which OP have narrated his encounter with this friend following the reading of the while of his friends deceased dad.

It’s advocated that newbies in the sense of the word and not on the forum not teach what they don’t understand but, forum rank don’t really define how much users know but simply lays emphasis on how long ago a user might have joined the forum with respect to how much contributions that might have been done by this individual within there period of stay.

Still, it’s not rocket science to tell someone that, bitcoin has got some values. It’s just that simple and a good talk to begin a learning process.
1140  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Placing value in the family on: August 05, 2023, 11:55:43 PM
