1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's the ethereum killer ... on: May 19, 2022, 12:42:10 PM
How come you don't know what stable coins are like?

even though you have described Ethereum very well and perfectly, stable coins are those that are able to survive and are strong in the market, they are hard to die for any reason, because these kinds of coins are strong and can survive in any conditions, the high gas costs of transactions on Ethereum only problematic for people doing small transactions, Ethereum itself is not getting smaller because of this problem, so it has to be separated between the high gas costs and Ethereum's increasingly strong journey in the market
There is a difference between "stable" and "not volatile" and that’s where you guys are mixing each other. Stable means 1 dollar pegged to 1 dollar USDT/BUSD type of stuff for some people. So, ETH is not stable in that sense, it is not going to go away and it will try to always stay the same price and not change. Whereas aryana is talking about stable as in not a coin that will go away, unlike luna for example, or unlike most coins that change places.

It has been second ranked for a long time and it will stay second ranked for a long time as well. That means that we are going to have to live with something that is a bit more stable and not volatile, not USDT like, but more btc-eth level where its rank is obvious.
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 18, 2022, 09:39:33 PM
There are three key players who are currently injured and I have said that before, I don't know if they will recover before the Champions League final starts or not. Because if these three players can't play in the final match, then of course it can make Liverpool's performance not optimal. If Liverpool can play all the key players from the start then surely Liverpool will have a chance to win but if there are some key players that can't be played then maybe I will have a little doubt.
Based on this [1] it seems the Fabinho's injury are the most serious compared to Salah and Van Dijk, even the injury is expected to fully recovered on May, 25 but I doubt his performance will be same as before. Players need to train their body consistently to have better result and they can't force their body just in a day since they might got sick after that. Perhaps, this is the reason why Liverpool odds doesn't really huge favorited as before (below 2.00), now it swing to 2.11 though they're still the favorite.
Maybe Fabinho is not a must? I mean I know that he would be great to have if they could have, but if they can't have him, that's not going to be a terrible situation. VVD is the most important one if you ask me, even their offensive line without Salah could end up scoring, but without VVD they are not doing that well. Look at the goal Southampton scored, that should have been easily stoppable.

If I were in Klopps place, I would go out with Konate and VVD defensive line and just go for size, because Benzema is not a fast player neither, so you need to push him around a bit more in order to stop him. Well Klopp knows what he is doing Cheesy. So, he will get out with the best roster they could.
1123  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Brand Name or Site Functionality? Or Both? on: May 18, 2022, 06:38:39 PM
You could be running the worlds most famous, most popular and most visited online gambling casino in the world but that does not mean squat when your code has more holes than a swiss cheese. I would never put my money in an online casino/sports betting platform which had bad functionalities and bad design. Even if the design seems lazy or outdated, thats a big red warning flag to me. There is no such thing as "too big to fail".

But that being said, I have never heard of a popular casino with bad functionality or bad design. Such casinos do not become brand names in the first place so the point is moot. Huh
This is a bit of a contradiction though, isn't it? I mean if you built world’s greatest website, that means you must have a good code as well. How could a place with a code that has more holes than a Swiss cheese, end up with getting to "world’s greatest casino" level without actually having a good code behind it?

This is why I believe that all these amazing websites we have in the crypto world also has great codes as well because that’s how they became great. If they didn't have that code, then while they were growing bigger, someone would have hacked them and got the money and bankrupt them, so in order to become big, you need to first have secure and good code.
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 17, 2022, 04:15:08 PM
Selling players to your competitors seems like a dumb idea.Couldn't they just sell Dybala to a non-Italian team?
Dybala wasn't sold. His contract expires at the end of the season and after that he becomes a free agent. He is free to go wherever he wants. The contract couldn't have been extended because Dybala requested too high of a salary. Someone might say that the club could have given him the wages he requested and then sell him. But that creates other problems. He isn't playing at his best and it would be difficult to find a club willing to offer him the same (or better) financial terms. And Juventus would be stuck paying too high wages. Something similar is happening with Alex Sandro, for example. The guy is basically retarded, but not even weaker clubs want him because he earns too much.
Dybala should definitely be resigned if they could. Juventus needs him badly, they do not have any players who are that good right now. Even if they can't keep him, at least sell him to another team for a good amount of money.

If they end up losing him for free, then they will regret that, he is at least a 70-80 million euro player if not more, and losing him would cause them to miss out on that much money, or a player that they could keep and provide a ton of goals and assists every year. Pay him whatever he wants, only because he can't be replaced, you can pay less for another player and will not get the same results as he could provide for you.
1125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So Many Exchanges out there on: May 17, 2022, 09:39:41 AM
Some of the best centralized exchanges are binance, kraken, bybit. They have an advantage in liquidity, but the disadvantage is that the funds stored on the exchange do not belong to you. Some of the best decentralized exchanges are dydx, mango markets, wowswap. There is not so much liquidity here, but you have full control over the management of your assets, because it works through connecting your wallet w/o having to make a deposit and go through the KYC procedure for trading or staking
Why do you think it doesn't belong to you? Binance says that it is yours, and they credit it to your account, and it is yours, if you want to trade it then you can, if you want to stake it then you can, if you want to withdraw it, then you can.

Basically, you can do anything with it, certainly more than what you can do if it was in some wallet on your PC, plus you can reach it anywhere you go around the world, with just your email and password (plus 2fa probably which is on your phone anyway so it’s with you). So, I have to say that it is not a big deal, it is certainly an issue that people created out of their mind, binance account is yours, so the money there is yours, do not listen to others who say otherwise.
1126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin resistance and support price on: May 16, 2022, 08:26:11 PM
Many phenomena regarding the price of bitcoin occurred at the end of 2021 where bitcoin experienced a decline in price throughout December after printing ATH. This year, of course, bitcoin's performance is expected to be even better with a significant price increase. Therefore, let's see if the price of bitcoin will rise again in 2022 or go back down from the previous price.
But it was what we expected, but now is not what we are seeing and witnessing now. The price of bitcoin in 2021 is better and interested to invest for hold than what we are seeing now, 2022 is totally different experience from other years for cryptocurrency because from 2019 bitcoin was reducing little bit than the way it is falling with out retrace. I have seen and undergoes the falling of bitcoin from different years but this one is the worst
It was 2018 when bitcoin went low, it finished the year at a low price went from 20k to 3.5k, which meant 2019 started with 3.5k and it reached 14k but ended with 7k, so was there a fall?

Yes, but it did 2x year start to year end, then in 2020 we broke over that 20k barrier again, and in 2021 we reached 68k, so we are low right now compared to previous years just like 2018 was as well. Doesn't mean it is the same thing though, we are at about 50% right now, whereas the market went 80% and more, even 90% lower in 2018, we are not that much low right now and doubt we will get there. This is of course just my guess, I do not know if it will go on.
1127  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach its all-time high? on: May 16, 2022, 06:36:05 PM
New ATH in 2022 might not be possible.
IMO, the market needs to have a correction or a time for consolidation.
We don't necessarily need to see the market to always rise. Corrections and bear market is a vital part of a healthy market.
Investors needs to have a good accumulation period and selling period.
With what's happening with crypto market today is just perfectly normal for wise investors.
That is what people are missing most of the time. Of course, the drop will happen and it is a natural part of the market like you said. However, there are so many people who react like this drop has been the worst possible thing ever, and that is not really an ideal situation.

I have to say the best thing that could happen would be people realizing the drop is something we can recover and not a big deal, that "not a big deal" is very important, if they do not realize that then they are screwed, or at least not going to profit. It's clear to me that we need to go back to a world where things are easier, and just ignore all these drops.
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hard lesson I learnt from crypto in 2 Years on: May 16, 2022, 12:51:11 PM
All YouTubers are in business, they want to make videos with something trending so that they can earn more from advertising. Why do you think someone will give you something that will make you money without any hassle? Basically if someone suggests something to you then it is your responsibility to do detailed research about it. Because most of the targets they set are baseless and unrealistic. So learn from past mistakes. And try to do better in the future.
That’s just it, YouTubers mainly hop on what’s trending and by doing so they are able to gain more views on their videos. Most of those videos are just click baits and when you click on them you will come to realize that there is nothing to learn from all of those.

The main interest of a YouTuber is to make  fame and create viral videos, that way they will be able to make money from advertisements, they don’t really care about giving you the right advice. So, it’s always good to do proper research and not trust just any video that we see online.
1129  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: May 15, 2022, 09:59:33 PM
If that is the case then we must care to log out all of our accounts right after we use them, only to be safe because like you said, unwanted things can happen at the background and will not noticed it and we don't know maybe the casino itself can also do some shady stuffs secretly without us knowing it. This is why we need to be careful or always think twice if who to trust your KYC and other important details like phone numbers and email addresses. KYC in stake is optional. If ever our accounts gets hacked, they can do something to help you recover it without undergoing to KYC. It's nice that they respect the privacy of their costumers.
If one hacker just wants to get your information and not do anything, then it would be quite difficult to handle all of this. I mean it is clear to me that if they do not "do" anything then how could you actually get some defense against it. Then after they got your mail, your password that you use, there are thousands of software for hackers where they will enter the mail and the password and it will search thousands of websites to see if you have any accounts there as well.

So, they could literally get your information from here, but then hack another account unrelated to you. Hence why I keep saying people to have different passwords for each different website.
1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna Crashed! on: May 15, 2022, 09:33:49 PM
It's shocking to see how Luna turned out to be a worthless token within a week. It was reported that dozens of people committed suicide over the past week due to this horrible price incident. So let hear from the experts in the forum.
Do you think Luna can still recover from this price menace? If yes, for how long do you think it will take Luna to recover? And if you think it will not recover, what is your advice to the investors? Over to you guys.
Luna didn't just crashed, it actually evaporated and it's gone. DO not imagine for a second that it will ever recover, reality is that it's fully gone and will never recover. We have seen death of a coin, and it was always known.

Anyone who has invested into any other algorithm stablecoin before would know that the system doesn't work, sure the "logic" of it may look solid, but if you use enough money then you could take all of their money and make their stablecoin go down, so the algo fails when put more money than the system has against it. If you knew this, you would have stayed away from it and that is what I did, I learned my lesson a year ago, so this wasn't new.
1131  Economy / Economics / Re: Taking loan during high inflation? on: May 15, 2022, 08:33:02 PM
When its inflation then the value of money is less so how can you say that it is profitable? Probably the value of real estate will be higher that time but the chances of liquidity is less so you can say that you can pay the mortgage with profits from real estate returns. And also for business it is kind of risky since the circulation of money will be less due to insufficient money in the hands of people so unless the business fall under necessary needs of people then it is going to be tough to pay it back.
That’s why you should make calculations before making a decision like this. Any business that you’re investing that kind of money should be a business that you’re very sure would yield profit.

You do not just go and invest that kind of money into any business, if it doesn’t end up being successful, you would lose it and the borrowed would be a total waste, you will end up struggling to pay for something that never benefited. I am a kind of person that’s always avoiding borrowing money, I always prefer to go with what I have and avoid debt, so that whatever risk I am taking is a one I am taking on my own.
1132  Economy / Economics / Re: Is TERRA/Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: May 15, 2022, 04:30:46 PM

TL;DR: if you want a Bitcoin Standard, forget about dollars Wink
I don’t know where you got the idea of a dollar related bitcoin standard; maybe I wasn’t clear about this.
My idea of the bitcoin standard is precisely what you described with your El Salvo coins—issued with Taro over LN.
Of course, this ElSalvo token must enable some unique feature To justify its existence and use instead of bitcoin itself.
I do agree that "crypto based" is a better term for that. I am not entirely sure if it will work though, I mean it is definitely something that is quite good if it works, but are we sure it would? We need to build a whole economy around it to make it worth something and I am not sure if we could build that.

Otherwise, if it’s going to be like an experiment then it will not reach to a level where it would work and that is why I hope that El Salvador doesn't go too deep into this. They are already a poor nation and if they spend too much on building such a thing (or even the city they are planning) that will require too much money and if it doesn't work it will be using money from a poor nation to make it even poorer.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 15, 2022, 10:39:28 AM
Tomorrow the season is ending officially. And the games I will be wondering about the most are going to be Leverkusen - Freiburg and Bielefeld - Leipzig. These games are very important for the fourth position and the Champions League of course. And Leipzig are my favourite too as most people. I believe that Freiburg already lost their chance to do this after losing 4-1 against Union Berlin home. Even one point is enough for Leipzig and I believe that they will get it.
I think everyone thinks that Leipzig will finish the league ahead. Almost everyone I talk to has this view, and I think Leipzig deserves more this year.
In a few hours everything will be over and we will see which team will qualify for the Champions League.
I'm starting to think we're not going to see much of a surprising result Smiley
Leipzig is spending so much money on the team though. The weird thing is, normally when a team is that much economically gifted, they end up being much better and get a lot better results. They spend above 60 million euro every single year, and I mean like 100 million this year alone for example.

This is why I believe that we are talking about a team that is under performing a lot compared to how much money they are spending. If a team is spending that much money, they should be in top three every single year and wouldn't really be a shocking result if they did that, like not an "achievement". So even though they may keep the fourth, they would still be upset, or at least should be.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: May 15, 2022, 09:26:53 AM
What do you mean by wages of 350k per hour? In Qatar most of the work force is made up of immigrants from South Asia. These workers earn in the range of $1-$2 per hour, if not less. And there are reports that around 6,000 workers died during the construction of stadiums for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. I am not saying that all of these deaths resulted from accidents at work place. A lot of them died as a result of sunstroke and cardiac arrest. But most of these deaths could have been avoided, if the Qatari authorities had provided better working conditions.
But the irony is that nobody voiced for such deaths that resulted just because of abusive use of labor. This abusive use of labor is not only limited to Qatar, almost all gulf states have such attitude towards poor immigrants from south Asia. Few months later everyone will be busy enjoying and betting on FIFA worldcup matches, no one will remember such deaths.
There will be plenty of people like you and me who will remember. In fact it is such a big deal that Fifa actually fired Sepp Blatter who if I am not wrong ended up being the reason why we are having a Qatar World Cup this year because he took bribes. It was such a big news that we had interim president for a while and now have a new one.

The new one will have to give it to nations with democracy and no slave labor just to make sure that they are going to the right direction and current president doesn't get impeached as well. So, we are going to see new decisions made for better nations and that will be better for everyone who watches it as well.
1135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Veterans and Legendaries: Need Advice on my Bitcoin Strategy on: May 14, 2022, 09:55:19 PM
Today's date is May 12th, 2022. BTC price hit a low of $26,350.49 in the past 24 hours.

I was expecting a crash like this for a while now but was really taken aback by how sudden it was. Most likely due to the Luna mess. Otherwise, it would have done the same but over a prolonged period.

Terra LUNA is $0.09153  Shocked Completely shocking!

I haven't yet bought a single BTC yet. The absolute bear rock bottom won't last just 24 hours or so.. It will likely last a few months at-least. So, I am not in a hurry to buy back in.
Most alts are in -80% losses and a few are already in -95%+ loss.. I am going to wait a bit more and see if 90% of the alts are down 95%+ or more.

BTC entry point @ around $20k looks like a real possibility at this point. The lowest it can possibly go should be around $12k to $15k. I will be surprised if BTC falls below $10k though.
I would suggest you to have some trail buy ready though. I mean you are hoping for 20k, and maybe it will happen, or maybe it won't and I can't tell you which one it will be, however I can tell you that if you do not buy right now, and it doesn't go down, then what are you going to do? That will not be a simple situation for you and I would suggest not to do this, I suggest you to keep it going as much as possible and buy when the price starts to go up.

So, have your buy orders ready, if it goes to 30k for example and you bought none, that would be bad for your future, it is just an idea but I would prefer if I were ready for any going up, instead of just waiting for a bigger drop.
1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Coping Strategy for Bitcoin Price Crash on: May 14, 2022, 09:08:16 PM
It is best if you have long term strategic investment and if you can turn off Internet, it is good too.

Sometimes, it is impossible to control emotion so if you connect to the Internet and see price crash, you can not control your fingers. You can also get headache and heart attacks in worst time. I don't want anyone to get health issues because failure in investment but it is what traders and speculators have to carry in their lives.

Bitcoin is good one for investment, deflationary, decentralized and you have your keys to protect your coins. Nobody can seize your bitcoin it they can not have access to your wallet or your account on exchanges; or can freeze your Bitcoin in your wallet (non custodial wallet)
That passes after a while. I mean I have some bitcoin investments that dropped 40% or so since I invested, and I do not even care about it, in fact I am quite happy that it dropped so that I could buy some more from this price as well. It's just clear to me that we are not going to see anything major changed in the crypto world just because it dropped, we are going to be fine and it will recover and everything will be fine.

This is mainly because price crashes and then skyrocketing all happens in cycles and it is not a big deal for me, it is the common thing in all markets. Just wait for this phase to be over and you will see increases in the price again.
1137  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🥳 €120 000 Booongo Tournament|⛵OpenSea BF NFT Giveaway on: May 14, 2022, 08:02:56 PM
It's great that Betfury is planning new integrations. By the way, if I'm not mistaken, there was a mention of some kind of GameFi integration in the roadmap for the first quarter of this year. However, now I noticed that this item has disappeared from the roadmap. So can you tell us what kind of GameFi integration was planned and why the Betfury team decided to abandon it?
Indeed, we have some ideas on how to expand the capabilities of the platform and make products more decentralized. The development of GameFi remains in the plans. But now the main focus is on improving existing products, developing general gamification across the platform and integrating new achievements/bonuses.
If you are working towards something new, could I suggest something? I really believe that if you could give something in return of gambling with BFG more than what you give while gambling with something else, that could be great.

I know that it would be difficult, but BFG is your own token and you should be promoting it and I am sure you have a lot of it, and while the staking and so forth part of the token is great, you should emphasize the gambling part. Casino seems like it was let go many times before and you are focusing more on the token itself and that feels bad for someone who has both the coin and also gambles in the casino part.
1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen to LUNA? on: May 14, 2022, 07:21:22 PM
What are your thoughts on LUNA? What will happen in the next 24 hours? Will it go to 0 or up?
A lot of uncertainty happens in the forum but what we can do is only wait for the team to give us the next step for them to recover from this mess. It's hard to recover LUNA to the normal condition in a short term but I believe that Terra stable coin will back to as it should. Now many exchanges delist $UST and many exchanges ban deposits and withdrawals for LUNA so what we can do is only wait until there's an official announcement. If you believe this project will survive just hold tight like Do Kwon said but if not better to cut loss.
They will not be giving you any reason to be hopeful. I mean Luna is gone and Do Kwon is basically just wiping his tears with 100 dollar bills at this moment. I believe that all of the money is out of the market, Luna team and their opponents took out everyone and they are just going to count their money while everyone in the market cries.

I never had any Luna so I am not bothered by it, I have few others that went down of course because of the market but that's fine, there is nothing wrong with that. I do not know what could be done about this, but I know that it's not going to be that shocking if you ask me if it just ends up dead.
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree ETH have become seen as less risk asset over BTC? on: May 14, 2022, 05:55:29 PM
Crypto market moves with the rise and fall of Bitcoin. All altcoins like Ethereum follow bitcoin. So Ethereum can never be less risky than Bitcoin. Because ethereum alone can never survive without bitcoin. We can now see that Bitcoin is recovering very fast. A temporary record can never be an example. King will prove it.
I disagree, bitcoin could be a lot more riskier than what we are seeing today from ethereum, sure ETH is not above btc yet on marketcap however it's "used" more in the sense that ERC20 network is used. Which means that even though bitcoin has a lot of backing from a lot of different places, we have to accept that ETH is getting the same attention if not more from the tokens using their network.

This is why "one day" it could become less risky to hold ethereum in the future, still doesn't need to be biggest, could stay at second, but that requires it to be a bit more in the line with usage rate and if it's used more then it will be less risky.
1140  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: May 14, 2022, 09:55:26 AM
The most difficult situation is that Ukraine must reclaim its land and on the other hand Ukraine must prioritize the interests of peace for all its people. I wish the best for the situation of both countries as well as other colonized countries, because many countries only focus on peace in Ukraine but other colonized countries are ignored.
The problem is that, I have read some stories about how Russia is relocating some Russians to the places that they took over. It means that there will be Russians living there who love Russia and wants that place to be Russian. So, even if they somehow take over those places, what could Ukraine do? You would have to relocate those Russians again and send them back to Russia and that is not an easy thing to do.

This is a tactic of Russia for centuries now, they attack a place and before you could attack and get it back, they put citizens there who are pro-Russian and suddenly you lost it not just with a war but the people who live there do not like you anymore.
