1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: July 03, 2023, 02:00:51 PM
I was threatened many times by my family members to stop gambling. Since gambling is considered a punishable offense in our country, one cannot openly indulge in gambling in our country. Sometimes law enforcement officers from gambling dens arrest criminals.

I have a little advice for you; It's better to adhere to the laws and regulations set by the government when it comes to gambling in your country. Engaging in illegal gambling activities can have severe consequences. Not only can you face fines and penalties, but the gambling platform you use may also be subjected to legal action. In some cases, if the gambling company discovers that participating in gambling activities is prohibited in your country, they may seize your assets. This unfortunate situation would result in both financial loss and potential legal repercussions in the future. It is advisable to consider relocating to a jurisdiction where gambling is legally permitted and seen as a form of entertainment, rather than remaining in a country where you might be regarded as a criminal for simply seeking entertainment.
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: July 03, 2023, 01:38:57 PM
I understand that I have experienced that the more you want to stay away from gambling, the more difficult it will be to leave gambling and I have also experienced the same thing as you when betting on sports betting to get lucky winning streaks in a few days and since then I have had a hard time leaving gambling.[/left]
What happens is that gambling can be very difficult to leave behind as it has several characteristics which appeal to our most basic and raw emotions, so once someone has developed some sort of dependency towards it they cannot leave it behind, and this is even more true these days, as it was not long ago in which in order to gamble you had to travel far away to gamble at your closest casino, but now you have hundreds of casinos available to you all the time with the use of a computer or a smartphone.

I believe everyone loves money whether we like it or not, it is very important and since gambling is one of the oldest conventional risks men used to find money, they will continue to play it but I must admit that I like it together with the fun, I don't get bored or feel alone when I engage in gambling and I have never reached an optimum point where I would think that I feel attached to it, I do have days I skip playing and I can even go a week without smelling odds of matches and events. When a player gamble to the point when they cannot leave gambling, then I think the person needs to get some fresh air and stop playing for a while, it is not a do-or-die thing if winning tickets don't appear in the dashboard.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 03, 2023, 01:19:53 PM
The reason for PSG they spend lots of money but they can't get anything in the champions league is mostly because they didn't have a good manager and they just bought superstar players while PSG didn't have a balanced team, this situation made chaos in PSG that's why they players couldn't have a good atmosphere in the team to have good performance.

If this is intended as a joke, I'll happily enjoy it while munching on some popcorn. However, if you're serious, it seems like you're endorsing PSG's questionable behavior. In all honesty, Galtier deserves a break. Just take a look at the short duration he was given – it was barely a year and two days ago when he was appointed. Expecting him to win the Champions League in such a short time is unrealistic. In my opinion, his performance was decent considering he managed to secure the Ligue 1 title for the second time in his career. Instead of abruptly sacking him, PSG should have granted him more time. If other clubs followed PSG's approach, teams like Manchester City would never have achieved their current successes.

Whoever controls PSG has a hot temper, Messi left, Neymar is also considering the same thing and Mbape is also under some pressure to renew their clown contract or should live the club, they think they can win the Champions League, if they continue with this attitude towards players, there Champions League winning is uncertain because it can never be anytime soon.
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 03, 2023, 12:44:41 PM
Arsenal is not the only team that will appear with a different face and be stronger by next season. Other teams like Chelsea are doing the same thing. They have changed close to about 99% of their players plus the coach. We expect to see a different face and formation in the Chelsea team.
Next season will be a tough one for every team in the premier league because every team is signing quality players to their team. I don't think Arsenal will be dominant in the premier league as they did last season. They miss their chance to lift the premier league and I don't think they will have such an opportunity again
I don't think Chelsea will be strong enough to contend for the league title and compete with the other top teams, Pochettino will start a process of rebuilding the team to become formidable thus I don't think the squad will be strong next season, meanwhile Arsenal having known their weak areas and points in their squad last season had strengthened their midfield and signed a new defender Timber obviously the team is now solid and will continue from they where they stopped last season, Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd and Tottenham are other clubs that had strengthened their squad too thus makes next season to be one of the toughest season and I am very sure other mid table clubs will also up their game as well.

Why do you believe Chelsea has become power destitute to the point where you doubt their ability to compete with other teams? You haven't provided any reasons to support this claim. If the issue is money, Pochettino has the resources to build a formidable team. Chelsea has generated significant funds through player sales and acquisitions, amounting to approximately $200 million. Moreover, an additional $100 million has been allocated to secure the necessary players to kickstart their Premier League campaign. It's unfortunate that they will not participate in any European competitions, but I'm happy they still possess the strength to remain competitive in the Premier League.

Arsenal had problems with their defensive Midfield and Arteta recognized that by bringing in Havertz from Chelsea, I will love to see more players that will be coming to Arsenal to protect the position they have secured in the Champions League, who knows maybe by December, we would be celebrating Arsenal way among the teams that has the Champions League in their gallery.
1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 01, 2023, 10:57:58 PM
I think Ancelotti understands the game and is prepared to face whatever lays ahead of the season. He is already famous for his expertise in making good decisions in and off the pitch, I trust he will make a good team out if the young players at his disposal. Real Madrid need to bring in a few fresh legs to improve the squad for the coming season and that is what Jude Bellingham is coming to do.

I doubt if there would be a manager as skilled and thick as Anceloti, he knows what they need at the right time, but the last season was a messed up season, but I respect some of the decisions that have been happening in the background in the last few days, like how Camavinga has been included in a long term deal until 2028 with full salary increase, it will be an opportunity to allow Mendy to move to another club because of the repeated injuries he always brings back, It will be fascinating to see what they cover this season, as they practically made it to the Champions League again.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 01, 2023, 10:13:49 PM
Concerns like this seem to be normal especially when looking at Chelsea's performance this season especially with the majority of players in attack and midfield now new and the coach also new will certainly give concerns about the chemistry that is woven.
It would be great if Pochettino could get his squad right and not face any problems with adaptation but this is the Premier League and sometimes the season can be much harder than expected. Even though Pochettino has more knowledge because he has been at Tottenham before but this is also not a guarantee so it is quite natural when there are many concerns especially for fans from Chelsea who hope that their bad condition this season will not be repeated next season.

I hope the new deal that are coming to Chelsea are worth it and his decision on selling the previous men are rely worth the move he made, I don't have any observations about his ability but his record and experience is a great concern but perhaps the board director were willing to let that aspect slide for the moment. However, letting go and selling half the squad of a team is a thing to be priorize and look over again, he should have only sell when  Chelsea potential bid are coming, not like he doesn't have any budget to buy, as they coming in and selling out, balancing the sheet is wouldn't be a hard job to do but what do I know, he is the man for the job but I can see a history of any English trophy in his resume, I just hope this moves should be worth it in the end.

1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 01, 2023, 09:42:10 PM
I came across an article How Old Do You Have to Be to Gamble in USA?. In this article, i saw that the minimum age to gamble is between 18 to 21 years. I wonder if the online casino do follow this minimum age for gambling.

Yes, the gambling sites have our age data through the KYC documents. Do they ever restrict anyone who is underage to not to gamble?
Also, if we find any site allowing minors to gamble, can legal action be taken against them?

The casino and sport betting companies that are self centered on coins like Bitcoin and other friendly altcoins are majorly doing KYC to identify the person behind than the age bracket thing, they are more concern who the user is than the question "is the user is between the age bracket or not" and it's disturbing how society is having more numbers of gambling than those who are willing to real work. Not saying gambling is a bad practice but it should be practice and recognize by the norm set aside by regulatory bodies, that's why you hardly see scam accusations of casinos and sport bet confiscating an account for age requirements, they are always fighting bonus abuses and multiple alts on gambling.

I also think because is now digital, your phone can do the job thess  days that's why it's even difficult to fight this or take legal action. I do say to people that AML or KYC is used by some companies because they fear been fine or any legal action against them, they don't do it in accordance of the law. I don't like KYC by the way. Is it the right time to invest in Bitcoin?

All my friends are talking about cryptocurrencies, but I still can't wrap my head around it. What would you recommend for someone who has no previous experience? Do any of you have resources that you can recommend to me that will explain cryptocurrencies in the shortest and most simple way?
If you have any success stories you would like to share, I would be very grateful if I could benefit from them as well...

I hope you are not investing because your friends of what your friends told you about Bitcoin, there is more to what you hear, it's goof side but I just want there is different stroke for different folks, your story and experience towards having Bitcoin might be different, it will be better than theirs or in the short time, it could be bitter experience of price fall. However, you should know that this is the best time to buy Bitcoin as many of us believe that as halving approaches, the market will adjust itself upward and anyone who have bitcoin in there portfolio will likely see some gains, so it's safe to say that you are on track as long as you keep holding it to that time.
1129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Optimizing health and holding Bitcoin for everyone. Some helpful tips on: June 30, 2023, 06:03:51 AM
Health is one of the aspect most people compromised, they rather wait to get sick before they take a step to treat it instead of them to prevent it, so that when the sickness comes later, it will be minimal but we majority will wait after the system is about to collapsed before you see them running up and down to see their doctor or health personal which in my opinion is bad practice.

5. Take a break from the ways you check the Bitcoin chart: Holding Bitcoin for the first time as a newbie could be challenging and you have this urge to check the chart when there is any trending news, it is good to check what is going on but doing it over and over can cause anxiety and fears and that's what people who hate bitcoin want you to feel but fear not, bitcoin has proven and will continue to perform well, take care of yourself and bitcoin will take care of itself.

I think this summarizes everything, overworking and going mile to stay in anything you do can affect your health, we all need a break, spend time with your self with happiness and have peace of mind, it boost productivity and not only that, it clears of your head to make great strategic decisions and above all, have a good meal once in a while, take yourself out and enjoy every bit of second because dead man tell to tails.
1130  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin pumping when the economy is heading into a recession? on: June 29, 2023, 12:42:56 PM
Forgive my ignorance, I am very new to this space. I saw talks about CBDCs and that drew my attention back to cryptocurrencies. I thought the last bull run would be the last we would have seen of bitcoin ever reaching those heights so I stopped looking at the crypto space ever since. But now we have discussions about dethroning the dollar and CBDCs, I am changing my mind about that, but I still find it fascinating that bitcoin is pumping in this economy right now. I am no means an expert in economics as you can clearly tell, would appreciate if anyone who had the knowledge could shed some light here. Always keen to learn. Thanks

In the last bull run, I don't think so. There is more bull run that will come after tbe last one but you should know that the exact time is not assure but we all know that the time frame is always between pre halving and post halving, all coins pump between that frame and that's when everyone jumped into the markets and then we will see another news everywhere.
Bitcoin and economic was somehow related during Corona period because there was corellation between S&P500 and Bitcoin back then but I think their shoulder relationship is over, as Bitcoin halving approaches, by its virtue it should pump whether the economy is stable or not, so sit tight and don't buy into CBDC speculations or dominating the digital currency.
1131  Economy / Economics / Re: Hong Kong to allow banks to accept crypto firms as client on: June 29, 2023, 12:06:30 PM
Despite the circular and assurance to the traditional banks there, they are still hesitant in accepting crypto firms. What could be their reason for being reluctant in accepting crypto firms as clients?

It would have been a blast on Bitcoin price if this was the entire China but there is more to the news. I mean, why is it that it's only Hong Kong that has been pushing for the adoption, what are they going to when the government appeal in court? The court will not favour them because the central bank has this autonomy over commercial banks and they can't go against their only source of fluidity to fiat unless they want to start printing their own cash from elsewhere, that's not possible though. Undecided

Anyways, let's be positive, perhaps when banks from other states start seeing competition, they will be forced to start accepting bank deposit and the majority will align in the same principles but where is the decentralization?  Huh I would take it as an adoption.  Wink
1132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's Bitcoin trust worthy on: June 29, 2023, 11:13:53 AM
It's Bitcoin trust worthy for investment? Cus have tried many platform but all failed and this my last hope... I was introduced into it.

What platforms have you used that has failed you many times that make you picked interest in bitcoin, you know they say there is a saying of before harm is before warn right! Sharing your experience over those platforms will pre-inform people so that they don't becomes expose to those dangerous platforms as well, and other members here will also learn from your experience.

Have you done your own little research about Bitcoin, you must have come across some reviews and articles about it but I am making addition to those claims that you are safe with Bit in terms of investment but it's your responsibility to keep it safe from bad actors like the hackers and scammers, it's also your responsibility to keep it in your own wallet, keeping it on the exchange is bad practice that will make you lose everything when the exchange cease to exist, I hope this little helps but don't hesitate to go through other recommendations.
1133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We All Know, The halving time will be full of drama on: June 29, 2023, 10:37:57 AM
So, I just want to say; Don't forget, The drama could happen again and repeat until the halving time. you must be strong and patient. you will definitely win if you face it with a quiet and strong hand if happen again in the near future.

Cheers

I didn't expect market makers to fight back SEC the way they did when Blackrock announced that they have requested for Bitcoin ETF, on a normal day, the news wasn't supposed to make gains to bitcoin by $2k from any where the news was made public but I was more surprise they pushed Bitcoin price to over $30k, now I know who always win in this market, hold and disregard whatever these guys do to surpress the price of Bitcoin. Funny thing is, SBF is still there roaming the street the way he likes, the US have hidden Caroline from the public after siphoning billions of dollars, its embarrassing to when I see Security exchange commission say things about Bitcoin.
1134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins and it's potential on: June 29, 2023, 10:19:32 AM
I have studied and argue about Bitcoin some topics which I posted and also came across in other board. Today I begin to think about the whole Idea of Decentralization, and I think the inventors of bitcoins since the idea was conceived till it was birthed has done the greatest good to humanity. With my view as at the time of writing , I think bitcoins will go long way to reduce poverty if they allow it achieve it's purpose.  Reducing poverty in my context is not about profit but the peer to peer transaction mechanism. The idea of centralized exchange is very much in place because a lot of people are yet to accept bitcoins but once it become accepted by majority, I think there will definitely be no reason to convert to fiat.

Bitcoin intentions were not to reduce poverty, you said and I quote "Today I begin to think about the whole Idea of Decentralization", decentralization doesn't say anything about poverty, it's say something about been independent, been descrete in way that it doesn't have to depend on any central authority before it can function, it doesn't need anyone permission before it can work like the independence of bitcoin blockchain running on it own by different people across the globe and the absence of a single entity doesn't affect the network, you don't need anyone permission to send Bitcoin value across its network, this is what decentralization described and not elivating people from poverty.

However, looking at how influencial it is to wealth, anyone fortunate enough to bought it when it was still less value and hold till now would have automatically escape poverty, bitcoin build wealth because it grows in value but talking about decentralization and including poverty is misleading and entirely not correct.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: June 28, 2023, 03:40:33 PM
Quote from: Velvet78
I think Luka Modric won't go to Saudi Arabia after the end of his contract with Real Madrid either. I expect him to retire after having his last season here. He can even retire from national football as well at the same time. It just feels like Modric could have gone to a Saudi Arabian team or an MLS team maybe already. Because he is really old now.

Of course it is still admirable to see him being able to play for 120 minutes despite his age. We saw this in the Nations League you know. But he doesn't seem interested in going to a team outside Europe for now.

I don't think Luka modric will retire in Real Madrid or national team because he will like to join Saudi Arabian team because many potential players are joining the team base on the huge amount of money Saudi Arabian are paying potential players, which is higher than the amount of money other teams are paying their players. Since Luka modric is still displaying well in his national team and Real Madrid, I believe he still have some new skills to showcase in Saudi Arabian team so that his name will be everywhere before he retire from football career. Based on the strength and energy Luka modric used to showcased in any opportunity given to him, show that he will still display at the age of 50 or 60 because the skills is there for him to fulfill his football career at old age.
Players have different mind set and taste. Not every potential players that will accept the deal from Saudi Arabian clubs. Many are there with intentions of making money and returning later to Europe.  Others go there to make money and retire at once. Luca Nordic already has played to the end of his career and he's currently a captain. Lucaa He is already 37 and is so in love with real Madrid. Modric is a legend in Madrid and will love to retire as a legend. He can still play well at 40 or even more but I think he will rather spend those extra year's of sacrifice at Madrid and retire as an icon.

You mean a whole Modric rejected $120 million from Saudi Arabia because of taste, please don't gag me because I can't picture a 37 years old and taste. Even the Almighty Ronaldo that has the biggest record of the highest goal scorer in Real Madrid was the first player to accept such deal and he is still relevant in the pitch and more investment deals are still coming talk more of him with little impact the of goals, his assist is a top notch but let's be honest, there is more to that taste.

Kante left for Saudi Arabia and was very pleased to play along side with Benzema and guess what, they earn my attention by next season because I will like to see how Al-Hilal and Al-insar will do next season and I guess I'm not the only one watching that league, this is what Saudi Arabia wanted other part of the world to do and gradually, they are already achieving until we have another GOATS like Messi and Ronaldo in Spain to see who are the new elites of football.
1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 28, 2023, 08:03:44 AM
It’s crazy that sites are allowing people to bet on this fight already. As serious as they may seem about it, Elon is so rich and has such an important mission ahead of him, it would be stupid to fight. Imagine human beings never become a multi planetary species because Elon got injured in a fight with the Zuck… Any place I can bet on this fight not happening?
Most likely they will end up not doing it. Elon is older than Zuck and Zuckerberg already got trained in MMA. It won't be easy for Elon to beat Zuckerberg.

You just spoke mind. Elon is an attention type of person, the Era of dodge is gone and ever since then, I have payed attention to his trending characters, the human chips didn't get a lot of attention just like he wanted, now he is picking another unimaginary fight that will never happen. Fun part of this shenanigan fight is that he is the only one providing oxygen to this fight, Mark has been silent ever since that initial reply and that became obvious that it's just normal thing he is used to. I even saw some pictures of him training for the fight; Elon and Mark, common, that will be entertaining and clownish fight between billionaires in my opinion.  Grin
1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: June 28, 2023, 07:16:04 AM
Many newcomers or beginners don't understand what gambling is. They don't know how to deal with gambling risks, they probably only hear about instant winning from other gamblers. So, it is very reasonable if they misunderstand gambling, they only know the benefits and have no knowledge about the risks. But they will understand it gradually, specifically when they learn seriously how to gamble in a proper way or in a safe way. Unfortunately, there are many newcomers who have no intention to learn, they are only obsessed with the profits. These types of newcomers will be easy to lose huge money and have a big chance of being addicted. In conclusion, not every newcomer focuses on profits only and will end up with severe losses. Those who gamble carefully and want to learn how to deal with gambling risks, probably will be safe from bad impacts or the risks of gambling.
Beginners only see other people's big wins from social media, which makes them curious about playing gambling and want to prove it with their money. But if they can't control themselves, it's tantamount to depositing money without a chance to win a lot. If they could take the time to understand that gambling is not as easy as they make it out to be, they would not come close to gambling and would even stay away from it. But we can only give them advice and not force them not to approach gambling.

That's the power of influencing, sadly it's been misused. People becomes triggered when they see you win, it's a natural thing everywhere, when people see winning tickets, they wish they had that opportunity to have bet too and they become curious how the gambler bet and won it successfully. Now, the problem with newbies is that they don't understand how gambling works and also the old gamblers that already in the system don't explain it to them as they only like to share winning tickets and by the time the beginners give it a short and it didn't work, they quit right there and never go back again.

Gambling need patiences, calculated risk and consistency and the strategy doesn't work, it needs to be change and reevaluate again and tested and when it works keep playing until the strategy runs out of luck because you need luck too, skill is not enough in gambling, it's luck that spice it up.
1138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: June 28, 2023, 06:34:12 AM
I'm astonished because Luka Modric turned down a huge offer from a Saudi club, preferring to stay at Santiago Bernabeu and make an influence on the squad. According to statistics, he is the most experienced midfielder in the club, and he has good skills of lining up good passes for his teammates. Carlo Ancelotti has included him in his budget for the coming season. Modric is aged and may not deliver to the fans' expectations, but he will give it his all. He also has supportive colleagues, such Camavinga, Tchouameni, and the new youngster, Bellingham. There is no need to be concerned because he will be served on good terms.

Luka Modric is a monument of stability. We can say that he has done the best in the position he has played for years. There is also the Ballon D'or award. I think this is enough to prove to us how loyal he is to his job and how successful he is. I'm sure he will play great matches at Real Madrid next year as well.

These look more like safe haven of fame in the bag than been loyal. He has been in Real Madrid since 2012 and nothing to show for, aside from the Ballon D'or, I don't see any speciality or connection between him and Real Madrid. Let's say he was been loyal, was Real Madrid loyal to him by signing him for just a year? Loyalty goes hand to hand, not a one way thing. The reason why I think he refused to go Saudi Arabia could be because of recognition and his age, the attention he gets from Real Madrid, the half wouldn't be there if he had eventually accept Al-Hilal contract.
1139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 28, 2023, 06:15:31 AM
I still can't wait to see him ( Sheikh Jassim ) acquiring Manchester United soon enough, the entire process is so tiring, the glazers are just so stubborn. He's currently being said to be in front. I ernest wish is that he finally gets the club.

I still don't know the position of the Glazzers family regarding Manchester United, and the media hasn't say much about them either, been 6 family owned business is going to take a lot of hard times before they all comes to agreement to sell out a heritage to another person and perhaps again, there is so much to lose if they sell it out. This deal is long overdue, they should sell it out as soon as possible so that necessary things can be be done earlier, don't want to see Manchester United end the way Toed Boehly ended with Chelsea

Quote
I'm glad Manchester United had a great Coach, but this is the right time to backup the coach to sell flops and drop worthy players capable of fighting for Manchester United. Also, Manchester needs two quality midfielder's, so much delays with mount mason, I'd even want to see a move for James Madison over Mason Mount. Manchester United needs quality before the start of a new Premier League season.

Mount Mason deal has been suspended the last I check, but I think they can sort Midfielders else where, but they need more of defenders right now than any other player, they already have good forward attackers and Midfielders in a long contract but they are lacking defenders and also good keeper that will help them this coming season.
1140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: June 26, 2023, 03:18:31 PM
This warning is not for gambling only, in whatever we do, if we are too in haste we won't get anywhere and most times we will make more mistakes that will cost us a lot of money, it's the same with crypto trading, forex trading and even other means of investing, and gambling is the most dangerous of them all, because you are gambling against a casino, where losing is 90% guaranteed.

Also, it's a fact that patience won't help you to win either, the best way is to avoid getting addicted to gambling and make sure you know how to limit your spending on gambling, do not risk more than you can afford to see gone, live the life of a responsible human being.

In every situation of life, patience is needed but some people mistake patience for procrastination, this is about life and not gambling per se, they will stay in a particular place without doing anything and they will think they are trying to be calm and patient but they are just wasting time. Now, coming down to gambling, it helps directly in the way that you let the situation calm down before the storm with a new strategy particularly when you have not been winning and the indirect impact of gambling can be waiting to think there is a particular time for you to be lucky and at the end, you may end up without winning anything.
