I really don't understand why you start cheering and posting train pictures and CCMF when the price goes $5-15 up, are you that desperate ?

yes indeed I am........if it falls down fast....btc price it would be nice if it went up for no particular reason just as fast..that way I'd know it was just
silly hairless primate human monkey silliniess and not manipulation

just saying it should rebound in dumb group panic situations in both directions....not just good news stays the same bad news drops

(then again i am a unicorn and rainbows kinda guy...so wtf do i know)

Bitcoin price is a bubble which is bursting, when you understand that, everything else will make sense.

Sure, it's going nowhere but down right?

I think today the stock markets will go down significantly.
1125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 09, 2014, 06:47:37 PM
This forum reminds me of the GTAT forum (until Monday). The posts -- with almost a religious devotion -- claiming that GTAT was going to be huge soon because of Apple, and that investors were getting in early and were going to strike it rich soon. But alas, it failed, and the pigs got slaughtered.

I know most people here are first time investors and they think bitcoin is awesome technology or what not, and that's why they have to make all the comparisons with the Internet, the telephone or whatever when they describe bitcoin. It's a way to delude themselves into thinking that bitcoin is much bigger than it really is. Why is Wall Street not buying bitcoin, the currency? Because it's overhyped. They can see right through it, and they're staying out, and only investing some VC to extract potential value out of some of the start ups surrounding it.

Guys, I hate to be a wet blanket, but take a look at some of the stories on the GTAT forums, people got burned... bad. Lots of stories about losing years of savings. I know you'll all claim "this is money I can lose" because you're telling yourselves that there's no way bitcoin is going to zero. People said the same thing for GTAT. Like Warren Buffett said, when the tide goes out, we'll see who was swimming naked. I suspect a lot of you are swimming naked right now.

Be careful out there. I don't want to see the stories of people losing their retirement savings, or losing all the money that was earmarked for their disabled children or what not. Sadly, I know it's going to happen though.

You sure are so wise for being a newbie... Probably guys here are sending you PMs and asking you what to do, too?

Banned again by bitcoin high priests for being a heretic. You do realize they don't ban people on the gold forums or any other investment for being bearish, no? Like I said, this place is faith based, and that is why it will fail... no fundamentals to back it up.

Did you know the user base of bitcoin is smaller than the frequent flyer club of Kuwaiti airlines? Bitcoin has been around for almost 6 years and nobody out there is interested. It's all faith based and controlled primarily by whales. The whales are your God (OK, so it's polytheistic.)

Market moves however they decide. Eventually they will pull the plug on the believers, and we're going back to single digit dollars.

So much effort just to warn us. You're a true gentleman. Should I sell everything right now?
1126  Other / Meta / Proposal: Newbie sandbox on: October 07, 2014, 11:38:06 PM
Can we please setup a newbie sandbox (sub) where users have to reach 50 posts before they can join the grown up guys? That would reduce trolling a lot. I mean, seriously, the amount of accounts which are created for plane trolling seem to be still increasing.

last year we had a 2-3 months of trading between $90-120, it was then when I decided to invest more, it was clear (or felt) to me that something was developing, I didn't expect 1000 but I was thinking about 400.

We could go from 330 to 430 but then we could fall back to 280 and so on... the average price of that week and the weeks ahead are not that far, by looking at the 1w chart(long term) even when the price is volatile a normal sane investor could catch that bottom average price, but an investor that panic each time could lose everything.

look at the 1w chart, regardless of the pumps and dumps and guys yelling about reversal and whatnot... it is still damn accurate and clear about the last bubble not totally bursting, I sold between 580-630 and I kept holding my fiat (till yesterday I bought at 300 and sold at 318) just by looking to that chart every week, even when there is an action I wait till that week candle close and wait for the next one to see how it will perform, and till now it still showing a bearish market.

1w chart ( from septemebr 2011- October 2014)

I might be wrong, and this market could react totally the contrary of my understanding, but I am willing to give it a try Smiley

Alright, I see your point now. What you mean is, there was plenty of time to get in "relatively cheap" before the next bubble started.

I agree with that.

But I hope you understand my point as well: From the perspective of the absolute bottom, that 90-120 USD range was already 2 to 2.5 times higher than the bottom. In that sense, not really the cheapest coins anymore. But, "cheap enough", if you want to get in before the next rally, which is what you mean I suppose.

EDIT: to make it more "graphic", let's assume $280 was in fact the bottom this time (I'm not saying it necessarily is, but that's not the point in this argument). Then we could hover in the $400, $500, $600 range for a while before the next rally, applying the same factor as in 2013.
I don't know about you, but buying in at $500, when I could have bought in at $300, seems okay to me, but not really ideal either.

I understood your point, and BTW only a lucky bastard can catch that "real" bottom, because usually it doesn't hold for long....

I think we are still far from bottom... it wouldn't matter that much for me if I am wrong anyway, because I am not going to invest more than $4200... I will invest it only when there is a real clear reversal and I dont mind missing a 10-30% just to be sure, because waiting for that real bottom and figuring out how many more Bitcoins you could buy for the same money is priceless.

Thousands standing on the side lines waiting for that reversal. And you think you can be the lucky bastard that gets in right on time?

Bitcoin is a very safe asset. It won't go away, unlike fiat  Wink

Good news all around + No fresh money at the exchanges = Time for a large sell off
1130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 05, 2014, 05:29:57 PM
I think the fear has reached an extreme far higher than anything in 2014 yet. People (including me) are talking about getting back to work, putting castles for sale, and the price reaching $100-$200 in a matter of weeks.

Typically, extreme fear is associated with prices that in nearly all timeframes provide far above-average returns. Unlike most extreme fear situations, the one in Bitcoin now is very easy to capitalize on, because bitcoins can easily be bought 24/7.

Even if buying more is not a realistic option due to the portfolio already being heavy in BTC, selling is generally not warranted unless you want to be one of those taken advantage of.

Didn't you call the bottom a few weeks ago?
1131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 05, 2014, 05:27:12 PM
I'll continue posting 'Fuck you all' in this sub until the price is above 300s again.  Shocked
1132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 05, 2014, 05:12:01 PM
Hmmm, just woke up and find the price is now 285.

Bitcoins an be moved immediately and dumped on a sunday. Fiat takes days to move and can't be moved on weekends.

Yes, so its completely sane to dump all your coins over the weekend.

What a pathetic bullshit crash! lol An exaggeration standing alone in the crypto ecosystem. Bears think they are strong but they are being played well by the whales. LOOOOOOL
1139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 05, 2014, 08:55:54 AM
Keep on selling into the flash crash to get the lowest possible price, sheeple. How ridiculous and what a sad picture is this community anyway.
