1121  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education or 1million dollars on: May 17, 2023, 07:06:36 AM
Lol I wish someone can give me this offer in real life, it will be very stupid not to go for the 1 million dollars, that's enough to send 4 people including myself back to school and get the good degrees and still have a lot of money for long term investment, I do have a long term dream of making a million dollars someday either through crypto investment or my other business, do you think this is possible? People make millions of dollars from shiba inu, a meme coin for that matter, I will do the same and I hope I get lucky, though I am not going to invest in meme coins, there are other good projects that I can invest money on right now.
1122  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 17, 2023, 06:12:32 AM
There is an opinion that the more money you spend, the more you get in return, it is interesting to find out who really works in this direction. I spend enough money, but I have a fixed income, therefore I will not be able to get more. I don't have rich relatives, and I don't expect an inheritance either. I want to get rich, not to deny myself, but I have to save on everything. Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?
The more money you spend on what exactly? That's the point, if you spend more money on things that wont give you more money in return you will end up broke and you will live a wretched life, spend wisely instead.

How about this? the more money you spend on investment the more you will make back in return? This is way better because it's like having 200$ to invest on Bitcoin vs someone that have 100,000$ to invest on Bitcoin, who will make more money?

The more money you invest on Bitcoin the more money you will make when Bitcoin reach a new all time high. I don't come from a rich background too and I solely invest more than I spend, all I care about is investing again and again.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: May 16, 2023, 09:13:15 AM
Why are some online gambling platforms having high withdrawal fee? I know Bitcoin recently has a high transaction fee but that's no more right now, some online casinos are still asking for 5$ per transaction when it should be 1$ or less.

Not just only Bitcoin withdrawal, even coins with very low transaction fee, isn't this robbery? If you just signed up on a centralized exchange, you can pretend as if you want to withdraw, to know how much the gas fee costs, but on online casino, you will see this only after you have enough wins or funds for withdrawal.
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / A long term investor here, thinking about adding RoLLBit Token on: May 16, 2023, 08:02:05 AM
Any long term gambling projects investor here? I have been monitoring Rollbit gambling platform token for a while now and to my surprise this token makes it to a new high recently, from 0.001$ in 2022 of October to 0.02$ today, that's impressive gains and the all time high was even 0.05$ in February of 2023, anyone buying such coins for a long term hold?

I have not gambled on Rollbit before and I want to ask if there is anything adding extra value to Rollbit token, anyone using this platform should please drop a feedback, is the token been used on the platform itself for gambling? Or it has benefits if gamblers use the token to gble instead of using Bitcoin?

Thanks
1125  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How old are you now in bitcoin investment? on: May 16, 2023, 07:11:24 AM
8 years now.

I have been into crypto since 2016, that's when I started learning about crypto and how to make use of crypto wallet for some transactions, by early 2017 I bought my first Bitcoin and some Ethereum, which I sold very early but still made some profits from the investments.

As soon I chose crypto as my next safe place to hide, my life changed forever. I was so passionate about crypto that I knew it would be successful in the long run. I am grateful to my late father for being so supportive.

As a result of my experience, I gained a lot of knowledge about cryptocurrency mining, trading, and investing. Bitcoin has been an amazing investment for me, even when I learned a side hustle, I couldn't take my eyes off Bitcoin, which is why I now accept crypto payments in my business.
1126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will happen to a wallet when the wallet company closes on: May 16, 2023, 06:00:40 AM
Good question OP, this is why using a open-source and non-custodial wallet to keep your coins is the best way, even if the wallet company is no more active you can either keep using the wallet or import your recovery seed into another wallet, it will work.

I have imported Trust wallet recovery seed into the Exodus wallet and I work perfectly, all my balance showed up and I still have the same wallet address.

In 2016 the first wallet I used was called Copay and as time goes by, Copay stopped working, they sold the company to another and the name was even changed, I still use my Copay for few months before I decide to switch and I import the recovery seed into Electrum and it works just as I hoped it will.
1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 15, 2023, 12:36:21 PM
See, if we are not very careful, gambling will get the best out of Us, sometimes, when some gamblers gamble, they use the wrong money and that money was not meant for gambling in the first place.

We have other things to use money for but, when you lost the money you will want to get it back and you start using some other money that was not meant for gambling again and before you know what is going on, you have lost all the money and you will go back home with zero money on you.

The first rule of gambling is to use the money that you are ready to lose and if the money is gone, do not try to chase what you have lost because in the end there is a chance that we even lose more money.

Till this day this is why my mother always say that gambling is evil, because it is more like something is controlling human beings that are into gambling because when you lost your money you are supposed to stop gambling, but you won't, you won't be able to control yourself you will lose control, You will want to keep gambling thinking that you will make more money that's why she thinks that can be in his evil.

Do not borrow money to gamble online
Do not use money that's meant to solve some expenses in your life.
The perfect money for gambling are extra money that has no use.
1128  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰 What software of online casino slots do you prefer? on: May 15, 2023, 11:12:07 AM
Is there anything that is more enticing than the free bonuses and offers from online gambling platform?  I don't see anything that beat this when trying to find a good gambling platform that is suited for your needs.

When you go after offers sometimes they always don't end well, since some are accompanied by extra criteria and tasks. I don't think that it's entirely about the bonuses and offers offered by online gambling platforms.

It's more important to me to have positive gambling results than offers, but bonuses and offers are also good.
1129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin IS an asset. Do you think it's bad? on: May 15, 2023, 10:08:29 AM
Isn't that wonderful that bitcoin is an asset that investors can invest their money on and make a lot of money doing so in time? and at the same times it is good for those who are looking for a way to get out of centralised manipulation and control

Bitcoin gives the freedom to the people who have less power to be in control of their money this is two in one feature from bitcoin alone and to me this make it an outstanding piece of technology.

If I were you I will not bother to dictate between choosing freedom or an investment assets since bitcoin is capable of offering these two features I will just go ahead with it and be satisfied with it at the same time, I like the freedom and the investment side of Bitcoin. You are free to accept Bitcoin the way you want, either for investment purposes or for getting out of centralized manipulation it is your call and everyone is free to do what they like.
1130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Ordinals craze cause a UAHF soon? on: May 15, 2023, 09:16:46 AM
It took me less than a dollar to send some BTC this morning, I think things are back to normal,  if splitting of chain will be the solution to bitcoin ordinals then I'm cool with it because I believe the reason why the gas fee is still lower right now is because all the Ordinal hypes have gone down.

Now, as time goes on, if ordinals become a big thing, may be successful, it is very certain that the price of ordinance will never remain the same, it will Skyrocket and affect bitcoin transactions so badly, then many people would be able to sell their Bitcoin in a bull market, so if splitting or forking the chain will be the solution then it is for the greater good.
1131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is it to keep your bitcoin investments secret from others ? on: May 14, 2023, 11:14:12 AM
Maybe my life is at risk? Shocked, OP you have a point and I will be careful from now on, many people knew that I am into crypto because that's how I keep getting people to teach about crypto, if I teach someone today he or she will bring someone new or group of friends.

In my view, the reason I'm safe is that many still doubt Bitcoin; the majority of my friends still think it's not something easy to do, and I also run another business. People who know me in person assume I'm a fashion designer, but they have no idea I'm also a full-time bitcoiner.

It is important to consider what surrounds us concerning our safety. In my neighborhood, there are a lot of hardworking and successful people, and I believe poverty is the cause of people's evil minds.

1132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ridiculous Bets that disappointed you on: May 14, 2023, 09:42:46 AM
Always have this bet every time I play the crash game, the moment I increase my multiplier expect for the rocket to crash right away, looks like my luck is not with this game. Had a lot of bad bets as well but I just can't remember the most ridiculous once since I always on a budget bet, I probably have one but that is not a big amount. Big bets always put me on a higher risk and the house knows it, they'll take my money easily.
I wonder why I don't always put my losses at hand, I only get excited whenever I win a bet, I think that's a good thing because I don't use more than I can afford to lose, and gambling is the riskiest way of making money online that's why I don't pass my boundary, I mostly play Slots.

I am always ready to lose the money, 20$ can't do any damages to me or my business and I use this twice a week for some fun. There are some gambling multiplier that looks good in the eyes but I don't let such to tempt me because it's very fast to lose your money increasing multiplier on gambling games, stay away.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: May 14, 2023, 08:22:03 AM
A politician never thrives on a gambling platform. They are able to achieve their own interests everywhere through corruption. Politicians should not come to gambling platforms as they see everything through the eyes of politics, they will cause harm to common gamblers. Because the purpose of current politics is not public service, but the main purpose is how to grow by depriving the people. The corruption of politicians concerned businessmen creates a lack of coordination among the organizations and the organizations will not do anything against the will of the government or administration.
What are you talking about? Politicians are corrupt but they use the money they steal to build other businesses and trust me casino is one of those business, since they are in the government already it will be easier for them to set up few numbers if casinos around different states in the country, you need to do more research, there are some Thailand politicians that open gamblings den and they are not clean, I believe that no politicians are completely clean from corruption.
1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Stay away from BRC-20 tokens - there are far better options on: May 14, 2023, 07:15:13 AM
Nice one OP, Twitter is now hyping the hell out of BRC-20 on the platform and many people are still buying those Ordinals, I know that this won't last very long, there will come a time where Ordinals will stop trending.

My concern is the devs on Bitcoin, they are still there I believe, why cant they put an end to this before millions of dollars went into Ordinals? Crypto is getting more complicated, we already have so much bullshit in crypto space and many more unnecessary junk keep showing up.

Lack of regulation? Everyone are on a race of making millions with crypto and people are now into creating stupid things with ease, it takes not less than 10 minutes to create a new token today and everyone is now a developer.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: May 13, 2023, 10:43:08 AM
If AI is going go predict gambling outcome it will be about sports games like football and the prediction will be based on data that the AI can gather, AI is not a kind of human made god that can read the future, to me there is nothing in this world that can see the future, and if all you have to say is the word prediction then it's PREDICTION, and prediction is still uncertainty, a gamble on what may work out the way we wanted or not.

All I know is AI will be formulated to the will of humans, which means it will be limited and not given enough power like some people hoped for, the truth is the higher the capability of AI the more dangerous it will get, some noticeable people around the world are already going against it. Do not feed human data to a program ???med machine, it sounds like a joke but things can get out of our hands real quick.
1136  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should use spare money to invest on: May 13, 2023, 09:09:34 AM
The basic rule is you must invest what you are willing to loose in this market because it's too volatile and you can loose all the investment in one go if the market conditions goes opposite to you. Some people take more risk and invest their savings into it which they can't afford to loose and becomes depressed after loss.We have seen lot of people facing this problem which is why it's advisable in the starting only that investment should be made on risk but what you afford to loose.
There are two things that can make someone to lose all their investments in one go, it's either you invest all your money in a scam project or you failed to diversify your money in different projects, meaning you put all your eggs in one basket.

Even if someone bought Bitcoin at 69,000$ because they lack the knowledge about crypto, they haven't lost their money until they sell their Bitcoin, buying at 69k is not good but getting the double of the money back when Bitcoin hit 150k is possible, all they need to do is hold their Bitcoin.

Do not invest the money you aren't ready to see go down in time, because it will happen even if you are buying the dips in this bear market, there will be time where your portfolio will lose 1000$ in value and it's fine only if you are here for the long term.
1137  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: May 13, 2023, 07:51:29 AM
Do not focus on web 3 from any online casino, it's nothing but an empty word, let your main reason for trying out a new or old casino be your experience, web 3 is still not a complete idea but it's in work, I don't see any online casino using web 3 still, they are all web 2 right now, those using web 3, in their description are seeking for attention and for someone who can tell the difference like me won't get caught, thinking maybe the experience will be different? Lol, for now, web 3 is still an unripe fruit.
1138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich on: May 13, 2023, 06:39:24 AM
You don't have to get rich with investment, it makes your life easier and that's the goal, because some people can afford 10$ investment only while some can afford 1 million dollars investment, their ROI will never be the same.

The other is investing in something you shouldn't have, making you lose all your money, in crypto you can easily lose money if you invest in a wrong shit project, I know someone who lost everything chasing FOMO from memecoins, he could not take his eye off those that turn millionaire through meme coins and he invested 500$ in a shitcoin, days ago the 500$ now worth 25$, after all the warnings I gave him he still follow his belief.

We live to learn from our mistakes, those who failed in this world are those who failed to grow, they make mistakes and they let those mistakes tie them down.
1139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the fate of BTC payment now on: May 12, 2023, 06:47:46 PM
For the first time since 2022 I have officially put an end to Bitcoin payments on my business until further notice
You should announce it in your business thread instead of creating a new thread (this one) for the announcement. In future, if you want to resume your business, make another announcement in that thread, not create another new thread.

Quote
I have gave few people some discount advantages to spread news about Bitcoin and now I am not so sure anymore, I can't even afford $5 per Bitcoin transaction, and also my customers that are surety when it comes to Bitcoin payment have all halt.
I could be wrong but do you have a business and accept Bitcoin as a payment method. So (assume it is true), your customers will have to make on-chain transactions to send their bitcoins to your wallets. They bear the transaction fee, not you. Correct me if I am wrong with my theory.

Quote
Is there any business owners accepting Bitcoin still? How are you doing it?
Big or small, you can always receive bitcoins. Problems appear only if you are senders and have to pay transaction fees.

Quote
Is there any way to go around this?
Lightning Network.
If all I do is accept Bitcoin as payment into my wallet address how am I going to restock the goods I sold? Be calming down mister, I am not stupid.

Do you expect me to give my customers my Binance wallet address so that I won't need to make any transactions to the exchange? Why aren't people thinking before making comments?

What business thread you talking about? I am a fashion designer offline and I sell clothes and materials, I hold only a small portion of my profits in Bitcoin and I use the rest to buy back some goods for another customer.

I mainly focus on Bitcoin only, and that's the fault that I see here.
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What's the fate of BTC payment now on: May 12, 2023, 12:35:08 PM

Ordinals looks like it's here to stay, I don't believe that Ordinals is like ICO because they are different. And Ordinals came in a bear market, imagine what this will do to Bitcoin in a bull market.

Is there any business owners accepting Bitcoin still? How are you doing it? Is there any way to go around this? I will appreciate, because I don't want to stop accepting Bitcoin, I have my long term plan and accepting Bitcoin as payment have helped so far.
