1121  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Newbies avoid plagiarism. on: September 28, 2023, 10:10:16 PM
Truly plagiarism cost lots of newbies account banning. I believe this is the area we need to educate our newbies very well as they have no idea about it. In the education sector plagiarism  is seen as a serious offence because it is more of intellectual theft so therefore anyone find wanting would be penalised for it likewise other sectors as well. You can use intellectual property but you must cite or quote them properly to avoid being called out.

I believe this aspect should be properly treated from the local boards because there they have the newbies and can communicate with them properly guiding them through. Just as you have raised this topic in believe other newbies here who sees this thread would definitely show up here to read and learn.
1122  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Apart from the bitcoin core, are there any other way to store bitcoin? on: September 28, 2023, 08:07:00 PM
From what I could deduce from OP enquiries, OP is really wanting to know which is the best wallet as a newbie but there are lots of wallets OP can subscribe to which have already been made known here for OP perusals. What I will say is that OP should be able to get acquainted with the easiest and secured ones first while learning more about the higher sophisticated wallets.

After downloading and installing the wallet, I will advise you to avoid clicking of links you have no idea about sent to you through mail, social media etc.
Avoid airdrops and granting permission to unknown sites access to your wallet account.
1123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies identify with your local board on: September 28, 2023, 07:42:49 PM
Many members here grew through the local board so I must say that the local board has so much importance here on an this platform. I have read many responses from members here and all  are actually correct and what they have said are the reality of what takes place at the local level.

I believe that the local board stand as a base to give a proper orientation to newbies and guiding them through the platform till they know the whereabouts of the platform. Newbies can freely relate with each other and share ideas with one another. As a matter of fact, problems can be easily resolved when ever there is any at hand. I believe all local boards have reputable members to guide them and listening to their fellow countrymen gives that feel at home vibes.
1124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do hacks still occur? on: September 28, 2023, 04:40:27 PM
There is every possibility that hacks do not just occur like that. There must be a preplanned scheme by the hackers which definitely in most cases have an insider as a source of information. Most hacks are not what people think they are as some of them were just to distract and confuse investors and holders not to think otherwise.

One thing we should know is that as long as this world continue to exist, there must be some categories of humans out there that are just good at stealing from other peoples resources. Hackers take advantage of loopholes in the security mechanism of exchanges, casinos and others as the case maybe.

As a Crypto organisations, there must be a constant site update, upgrade and maintenance so as to make it very narrow for any such incidence out there .
1125  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A summary of what I understood about Private / Public Keys and Digital Signature on: September 28, 2023, 04:21:53 PM
Very interesting.  This article you have written is quite alright and educative mate but how about you being able to summarise it in three paragraphs to the least minimum so that one can read it and get the information or message you are trying to pass across. Many would see this article as too long and boring which would not gain the attention it requires and possibly miss the information you are trying to pass across
If next time you want to write such post try your possible best to summarize it to the least minimum by which one can read it properly and also do well to reference it because there must be some excerpts here you culled out from some articles.
1126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another post cautioning you of influencers on: September 28, 2023, 03:52:09 PM
In my country 1xbit is been prompted by most celebrities and not just influencers, I don't know the connection between both platforms (1xbet & 1xbit) but I believe they have been connected to be the same company yet many people are still using them because the influencers say so but we can't hold them responsible because they didn't force anyone to use the platforms. We also have influencers advertising alcoholic drinks that are harmful to the body when abused and tobacco too. It's like a normal thing for celebrities (influencers) to be smoking cannabis on social media even when they know their followers might copy them and it's so annoying seeing all this happen and yet nothing is been done about it. The world is fucked already so we owe it to ourselves to always do our due diligence on everything before use.
I have not come across a 1xbit promotion in the country but 1xbet, at first, I thought it was 1xbit, as it was a change of alphabet “i to “e. So, with the similarities in the name that looks fishy to me, and with the scam record that 1xbit has on the forum, I avoided any dealings with the site, but seeing big-name celebrities promote 1xbet in our country that what I'm still trying to understand if it legit or not.

Generally, These influencers are only concerned about the payment or the money they earn from promoting these sites or products, without considering the implications.

Of a truth I have seen many advert on this casino both on television and social media platforms. Mostly promoted by well known celebrities with hugh fan base. I was wondering if these celebrities have the knowledge and idea we have about this casino I do not think they would dare promote it aside those without conscience.

What they are just after is their stomach infrastructure. Always good at promoting a project or product without doing their proper research to find out more about what they are promoting. If only these celebrities can do this, I don't think they will agree to most of the promotional deals and offers that comes their way.
1127  Economy / Gambling / Re: TOP69CryptoCasinos.com | Reviews & Listings - A more honest approach on: September 28, 2023, 02:06:31 PM
The overall site layout and structure is good one. Also, i like the presentation of the casinos and you can find the main features of each casino without going into the details. Also, there is a separate list of non-KYC casinos lists too. However, i disagree with the casino ratings presented on the site.

There are big names here on this platform which I see some of the above listed casino can not match in anyway.

I was surprised to find out that there stake.com wasn't mentioned anywhere and not even in the list of top 50 casino list  Huh  I do not say that OP put stake on top of the list but not finding in the top 50 is a big surprise for me.
Same too. There are lots of big names here which I can not mention and it is such a surprise that OP had no knowledge of them. Maybe OP would take out time to do a proper research here to know more about this platform and casinos present here because there are lots of casinos not just casino but big names in the casino/gambling industry OP is missing alot. Maybe OP should just lick this thread for the interim to do his or her research properly because members might react to that list OP presented here and also their website too.
1128  Economy / Gambling / Re: CryptoCasino.com 💰 100% up to 20 mBTC Welcome Bonus + 200 Free Spins 🎰 on: September 28, 2023, 11:52:16 AM

As you can see OP I had to quote you based on what you have said and if you check well you will see it for yourself that you made mention of two other casino sites with their website attached.
To the trading, I checked your website and I saw a particular captions with buy crypto and there I clicked it I saw connect metamask or user name and password. What will you say about that?

Hi CryptSafe - Sorry but i still don't know to what other casinos you are referring. If you can link to the post where we mentioned two other casinos i will endeavour to answer/clarify.

The Buy Crypto banner allows our customers to buy crypto directly using fiat.

If you click it when you are not logged in to our site it will take you to our sign up page (either by metamask or regular sign up)

Or

If you click it when you are logged in then it launches the window which allows you to buy crypto directly.
You can buy crypto to gamble on our site via OnRamper. You cannot trade or exchange one crypto for another on our site.

I hope that explains it.

Kind regards
CC

That explains it better mate and I believe that OnRamper site is well secured to prevent data breach on customers details while buying crypto through their website as I have had the experience in the past were my details was through a third party site such as this while trying to make purchase online.

From your post you made mention of  " www.RakeTheRake.com and www.BestSportsOdds.com'  which you claimed is a work in progress. I was wondering if the both casinos belong to you and why mentioning them here. Why not merge them all together to serve one purpose or are they of different features compared to this casino you have on cryptocasino.com.
1129  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino vs. Broker: Who's Really Playing You in the Money Game on: September 28, 2023, 11:30:47 AM
OP in as much as the both are business oriented, they are being done for profit making and so would go to any extent to ache in money by any or all means from their clients. Worst scenario is that their clients would only complain and go and there is nothing one can do about it.

Brokers do a whole lot to making sure their clients trade so in that case can go to any length to get their commission, fees and lots more based on the agreed terms for which both parties have reached.

Unlike the brokers, Casinos are quite different and can not be compared to brokers but the both are business done for profit making. Casinos are set up for gamblers who play under probability of wining or losing their games however the case may be, it is either a win win thing or otherwise which gives the casino the opportunity to to make their gains from fees, loss from gamblers etc.
1130  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let's start the journey of working with Bitcoin by following the forum rules. on: September 28, 2023, 10:56:45 AM
Welcome OP. It is nice having you here. As a matter of fact, all you have said is the raw truth and nothing different from the truth. You know it is normal that every organisation, platforms, groups etc all have rules, guidelines and principles which they must abide by to keep them together and for things to work orderly and accordingly. Same is applicable here and for the fact that you took such step, it shows that you are willing and ready to learn more about bitcoin and this platform. As i can see you already have started doing that. However, some links have already been posted here by members which would be of help to you and i believe if you read them accordingly, you would benefit from them.

Avoid plagiarism here because the community frowns at it and if caught in the act might result to you likely being tagged. So therefore, you should do well to always reference your post if you copied it from else where so that it would not make you face some backlash here. As a newbie, what you will just have to do now is concentrate on reading, learning to gain more knowledge. You can ask question here if you feel there is anything you are lacking in knowledge here and you want to get clarification on.

Lastly, I do not know where you are from but i will advice you to locate your local board as there is a local board session where one can freely interact with their locals and also communicate with their local language for better and easier understanding. Here you can meet with other members you would also guide you through your stay here. You can as well ask question there as it bothers you.

1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: September 28, 2023, 09:49:16 AM
Congratulations on your wins mate but I think luck shined on you this time but however, calculated strategy could have helped you  do that very much better to have won this way. You should be much calculative and have a good strategy when betting next time. I know you would be wondering if you had topped it up you could have made much money from that bet but sometimes it is so that you do not know what the end result would be so you have to do it with caution against all odds to seeing the outcome of your games. Bet what you can afford to lose and do not use as a result of this win to bet hugh amount otherwise you would have yourself to blame.
1132  Economy / Gambling / Re: TOP69CryptoCasinos.com | Reviews & Listings - A more honest approach on: September 28, 2023, 09:25:18 AM
I opened this topic to present: TOP69 Crypto Casinos - a site which reviews and lists crypto casinos in a more honest way, mostly focusing on what players may actually need to find out.

I know you are using certain key measurements to evaluate the casinos but in the end the top casinos are based on your own personal choices?

The Top Casinos on your site are:-

1.  BC.Game
2.  Coins.game
3.  K8.io
4.  Rollbit
5:  Bitsler

I do not know if the other forum users will agree to this list or some other casino deserve to be in the top list  Roll Eyes

I wished if the top list was created with the input from the gamblers as they are the ones who play and decide which casino they rate more than the others.

I saw the list and burst into laughter. Possibly OP is yet to get acclimatized with casinos here because from the list on the review site, I think members here would not give in to it or agree with OP to that effect. There are big names here on this platform which I see some of the above listed casino can not match in anyway.

Since OP is new here, I would suggest OP takes time to go through the casinos here and run a review on them or possibly do an open air view for members to list  casinos they want to see on the list then OP can from there do his or her review for casino to work on and add to the list based on the outcome result of the review.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling with Cryptocurrency on: September 28, 2023, 09:12:35 AM
For me, it is three  things and these are

  • Play money that you can afford to lose and
  • Take time to read the TOS of the casino and always be aware of the changes
  • Play in a casino that has proven its reputation

If you follow these three things you are safe, your gambling experience will be enjoyable and you will not log out depressed and feel sorry.

I will have to agree with these tips of yours added to mine as earlier mentioned. Playing with money you can afford to lose saves you the stress of being under pressure to meet up with wins to recover all you have lost because that is the beginning of gamble addiction. People fail to look into casinos terms of services which should be a focal point to consider when dealing with a casino. Lastly, as a result of bonuses and give away, people tend to be in a hasted to register with a casino and making deposit without proper research and when they have done that, that is when they would start complaining of casino scamming them and lots more.
Permit me to ship in some points, fine, it's good to play with the money you can afford to lose, but this saying is not entirely wise if there is so much money you can afford to lose. It should still be widened to the point that you need to have a gauge on the amount you are willing to commit to gambling even if you can afford to lose much. If not, you might be misguided.

The second part is that reading the terms and conditions of the casino is very good and no matter what I read negative about any casino, if there are no withdrawal issues, then I am good to go with them. The withdrawal issues I consider start from when the gamber had completely satisfied their withdrawal condition and the casino did not issue out the money but citing some clauses one can't verify. What you don't know is that some casinos will dubiously hide under the T&C to perpetrate their evil scam.

On a normal it is advisable to read terms and conditions of service before engaging because that would guide you through making you have clues on how the casino operates  so as to decide whether to continue with your dealings with them or not. Before one could be able to withdraw from a casino, one must have been able to complete the wager requirements so as to enable them do so but when it seems like the casino wants to act funny then that is where the problem lies and the casino can not be relied upon to be sincere and genuine.

Lastly, playing with money you can afford to lose puts you on a check so as not to go beyond your limit. It is good so that one can control their limits to which they gamble. I believe this is what results to addiction when one plays beyond their budget all on the name of expanding their limits because they can afford to lose more within their budget. Self discipline should step in when it gets to that point when you exceed your first budget for the game.

Do you trade crypto on your casino? as I checked again because I saw the features there and how come you have all these casinos and still operating more. Is it that you want to run them differently on their own for them to be independent on each other or their features does not permit them to be together be I think it would be nice incorporating all of them together which would be great to see that such a casino has multiple features and games option for gamblers to choose whenever they want to play games.

Hey CryptSafe - we do not trade crypto on our site. That would require licences etc.
Players can deposit and play in multiple currencies (about 20 i believe) but they are not interchangeable.

I am unsure what you mean by "have all these casinos" ?
We have 1 casino on the platform - CryptoCasino

If I have misunderstood the question, please clarify and I will try to asnwer.

Thanks

Of lately I have come across several casino review sites here and it just looks like there is a competition going on amongst the casino review sites as they are all justling for who has the best features  to be called a review site. Anyways it is all business as usual and the best takes it all.
OP you have a good website design and the numerous list of reviewed casinos are quite alright but I did not see any review links to check on them to see what other people are saying about them. If you can be able to do that it would be nice because having knowledge of what others experience about the casinos would be of great help mate. I think you should look into it.

It seems one of the characteristics of gambling site mentions that you are in the industry since 20 years!! I don’t know what to believe, the text that I read or is there any subsidiary that we are talking about?

Sometime there are parent companies but nothing is mentioned about such company so far anywhere that’s why it led me to ask this question here.

By the way, affiliate program looks cool, might try some CPA offer. Hope so they convert. Smiley

Hi so98nn -  happy to clarify!

We have been in the gambling industry since 2004. We run www.RakeTheRake.com a poker affiliate site where we have returned more tha $150m to players. We also recently launched www.BestSportsOdds.com which is a work in progress.

Regards the affiliate program we currently offer Revenue Share up to 40% + VIP
CPA may come in the new year...if not before!

Best wishes

a gambler walking away with a substantial loss.

I think this is a major problem with gamblers after their gambling. Nobody wants to loss but however in the course of gambling, one must win and loss as well so walking away with that is what most gamblers can not Comprehend and In that case they decide to go beyond their budget limit just to chase their losses with mindset of winning and when doing that, they keep losing more and more and this however results to addiction and it continues that way again and again.
1138  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The Total Amount Nigerians Have Spent in Bitcoin. on: September 28, 2023, 07:08:57 AM
This is an estimated amount,  and without date and timeframe for the collection of the stats,  this may not be near accurate,  but for the fact that, the figure is significant enough shows have positively involved Nigerians are in Bitcoin transaction.

I think there was a time,  Nigeria surpass US in amount of transactions volumes,  I don't know if that remains the same up till now.
Of a truth Nigeria should be amongst the first ten countries with bitcoin transaction before the ban. That figure given above may likely not be accurate to start with as  I strongly believe that the last statistics was of the view that Nigeria is the number 1 in Africa to have a high volume of bitcoin transaction on daily basis.
Mate note that I didn't mentioned a figure in my statement and if you understand me clearly I mentioned in the statement how low the probability of 100% accurate my statement is but be sure that I am 80% write in that statement.

And again note that the increase in the number of daily crypto/bitcoin transaction happened after the ban and Nigerians Bitcoin lovers were forced to adopt the P2P method for trading,  although that result also is not proven based on statistics so just take it a near fact statement and do a further search on the subject matter to get more accurate information.

I understand your point mate. I never mentioned figure as well to show the amount transacted and if you note, you will also see were I said after the ban meaning I was making emphasis on the statistics of  of Nigeria Bitcoin transaction before banks were ban to carry out Bitcoin transaction.

Nevertheless, the transaction for Bitcoin on p2p platforms drastically increased after the ban to say that Nigerians majorly opted for p2p trade reasons being the fact that there is a ban on banks for doing p2p transactions. Although there are no statistically proven fact on the daily p2p transaction volume and all we are talking about here are just mere assumptions.
