1121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Trading becomes Unfavourable on: August 15, 2023, 10:07:23 AM
The factors that you mentioned are psychological problems, following the direction of trading comes from a feeling of fear and greed that makes the individual take incorrect decisions only because everyone does that. When the price drops, you find everyone selling, and when it rises, you find everyone buying. Psychological trading can be solved by automating trading, but developing a strategy that includes all scenarios and plans to deal with them will lead to better results, or at least when things go wrong, do not make any decisions because sometimes the cost of making a decision is good, and sometimes it is better not to take any reaction.

Trading is not for people who are controlled by their emotions.
1122  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New idea looking for contributers in team its revolution in crypto ways on: August 15, 2023, 09:34:05 AM
Newbies come here with outrageous ideas thinking that they will get the support they want, nothing in OP's post mentioned how are they going to keep the user funds secure there is no contract smart involved.
Sometimes I am amazed at the sharing of ideas without matching an economic or technical scheme, even if it is simple. It is easy to think of useful things, but it is difficult to make or implement them on the ground, so sometimes ideas are not enough.

If you're going to offer Cryptocurrency insurance, and credit you need to have a license to show, who you are and what's your credibility score as a developer here if you do not have this and you can not show something, you're not going to get anything better think of something useful and will keep users fund safe.
His idea is good and it was implemented in a decentralized using miniscript, but converting ideas into projects is not easy or can be done with zero costs.

1124  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: kycnot.me bitcointalk version on: August 12, 2023, 12:36:06 PM
@Yamane_Keto: From my perspective creating such a service dedicated/related with bitcointalk would result (probably) in the same services being recommended thus creating a duplication of the kycnot.me website in some way. I think that a better course of action will be the one recommended by pluja - contribute by either working with him in the code, discussing the services or perhaps even being able to help him tackle the pending list of services.

I agree. My main idea was to fork kycnot.me because I thought the developer would be busy updating that site, but now I will try to help him to make the site better.

Thank you for offering, I will try to be around, but sometimes I get busy and tend to forget about social media, so it would be great if someone could contact me on important matters if you see I've not been around for a while Smiley
No problem.

Thank you for the suggestions, I just opened a new topic there: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5463031
Since we have a separate topic, I will lock this.
Thanks all.
1125  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New idea looking for contributers in team its revolution in crypto ways on: August 12, 2023, 07:18:55 AM
Let's cut the short strory short

It will be like cryptocurrency insurance or credit service when you pay monthly for example  30$ and after 5 months you can start using this service fully.

It's good feeling that when you know you have non sovering insurance and when you need extra funds you can use it.

You can use the Timelock feature, which places some restrictions on spending a specific Bitcoin until a certain time or a specific block, for example, these currencies are locked until 1/1/2025 or even Block No. 802800

The disadvantage  is that you will not be able to use your locked bitcoin until that block is mined, and if you really need need of it, there is no way to get it earlier. But it is good for those who want to save and know that they do not need that bitcoin up to that block No.

1126  Economy / Economics / Re: No choice but to use the unavoidable middle man, the exchange companies. on: August 12, 2023, 07:04:16 AM
I watched an educational video about how the current payment system works, whether it was Visa or transfers between different banks and different countries. The reality of the current financial system is very complex, and if payments are made directly, what happens in the background is that your banking data is shared between many banking entities or even Google Play and Apple Pay.

Bitcoin transactions provide the user with smooth and speedy transfers with some privacy if he knows how to hide his data well. Users resort to third parties, either because of the support of sufficient adoption, such as using Visa cards that can be loaded with Bitcoin and pay anywhere Visa is accepted, or because of the delay in transactions by an amount Average over 10 minutes.
Both of them, with time and development, will be considered causes of the past.

1127  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet RBF Feature on: August 12, 2023, 06:37:55 AM
My question is that the fee which i paid in the old tx, 0.00005064 BTC, where does it goes? Is it lost?

Because in my new TX, the fee is 0.00012064 BTC (4.0 sat/vB) or did the OLD tx fee added to it  Huh

Also how long will it take for this new transaction to be confirmed with 4.0 sat/vB fee ?
From its name, Replace-by-fee, you replace an unconfirmed transaction with a new transaction (it may be with the same output "opt-in RBF" or new output "full-RBF") but with higher fees according to the RBF rules, and when the miner wants to include this transaction in the block, it is listed first Because their fees are higher. the old transaction is invalid, and the new transaction is the one that will be confirmed, but its fees will definitely be higher than the previous one.
1128  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Does Electrum use Libbitcoin ? on: August 12, 2023, 06:28:42 AM
if something would be wrong or it will be made by using those generators then we definitely get to hear some alert or news about it as it is open source and many developers are doing favors for checking the Electrum for exploits.

I am relieved now after reading many replied here.
Although I think that using Electrum is safe for those who want to HODLing Bitcoin and do not have technical experience, but making sure that your private key was randomly generated or at least knowing how we can generate a random private key (128-bit entropy + checksum) is required and learning it is not difficult .

This thread will teach you the basics https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5316005.0 and with a little research you can generate a private key that is guaranteed to be random and *impossible* to Brute-force it (not recommended for beginners or if you don't really know what you're doing)
1129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any solution for a hacked wallet? on: August 11, 2023, 03:27:19 PM
I applied for an airdrop where I connected my wallet a few days later I noticed that my wallet has been hacked and some of my money are gone. I tried sending gas to the wallet to move some tokens to a saved wallet, but if I send gas to the wallet the gas is been moved automatically by a bot. I do not know what to do to recover some of my tokens from the wallet.
When you applied for an Airdrop, do so from a separate computer and a new wallet that does not have any balance. Then, hackers will not be able to steal you because your wallet is empty, and in the worst case, you will lose gas fees, which are less than $ 5, but remember that you do not need to have a balance in your wallet to claim Airdrop.

Stop using your old wallet seeds or downloading random apps or add-ons you don't know about.
1130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hacker attacks again on: August 11, 2023, 03:06:35 PM
usually, they would take time to move the funds, like years in the making. they are very careful on how they transfer those stolen funds. should be meticulously done because one wrong move, they will be caught as the authorities are on the lookout for them. they can easily be uncovered with one wrong transaction made from that stolen funds. and if the amount is huge, expect there will be discreet investigations on the hot addresses involved.
And this is why mixers would really be the most common place on which these stolen or hacked funds would really be going into specially if the hacker would really be deciding on cashing out these money then for

Here you need to trust these mixers, but suppose you have mixed perfectly, how will you justify to the government that you suddenly became a millionaire, you need to sell these bitcoins for cash, and then it is almost impossible to succeed in proving the source of your money.

Money laundering is not easy, and at some point you will have to trust one of the parties, which may eventually lead to your exposure, and the arrest of Chipmixer admin is the best evidence of the ability of governments to track individuals.

So instead of all this headache, if hacker got a 10% deal, he wouldn't think of turning it down.
1131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Price in Respect of News on: August 11, 2023, 02:58:32 PM
Just a normal movement, although what we've seen is that the price went down below the support of $29k and everyone was really nervous that will continue to go down as the analysis says it's either $22k or $30k.

The problem is that we are not testing the $31,000 level to say that the price may reach $37,000 before Christmas, but we are testing the lows at $28,000, which if it continues, we will see $22,000 prices soon.

If we do not move from levels of $29,200 in the coming weeks, we will most likely return to 22,000, or until we re-test the bottom again.

Hello everyone, I'm pluja, the user behind kycnot.me, and I happened to come across this post.

Hi pluja, I'm glad to see you here, since you're here, create an ANN topic here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=84.0

You can see some how to make ANN topic by clicking on the topics in that board, but it is simply a topic in which it explains https://kycnot.me and how to add or delete exchanges, and I am ready to follow the replies and make sure that topic is updated if you do not have time or are not interested in the forum (I will contact you via github)

1133  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Does Electrum use Libbitcoin ? on: August 11, 2023, 02:20:53 PM
No, and the number of open source wallets affected by Libbitcoin is small, at some point EdgeApp was using that library.

The most cited affected wallet was trust wallet.

Remember when there was an issue with trust wallet, and they even had to make a quick update?

Did you mean Trust Wallet Browser Extension issue? If so, I don't think the reason is Libbitcoin, and that problem was only related to the addresses generated by the Browser Extension not trust wallet app.

https://community.trustwallet.com/t/wasm-vulnerability-incident-update-and-recommended-actions/750786

I know that the current code is closed source, but the open source wallet-core does not indicate that they used Libbitcoin, but we cannot say that your money is safe because the browser extension vulnerability that was discovered was due to a bug bounty and therefore there may be a lot of these bugs, which is reason enough To stop using Trust Wallet.

1134  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is It Normal For A Site To Ask For Your Wallet Address? on: August 11, 2023, 01:23:30 PM
Let's be honest here. The people recommending Unstoppable Wallet do so because it's open-source. That's it. They have done none or very limited testing. I am not saying it's bad, but it's a very weird product that I personally didn't like.

It is difficult to find an open source, well-reviewed wallet that collects most of all altcoins in one place. You can find good wallets for the main blockchains, and then buying a hardware wallet is a better option for 90% of altcoins. Sometimes laziness is the motivation for people to download a wallet with the largest number of altcoins. some altcoins may need to be upgraded and forked, I read some stories that have tokens that have been frozen or burned and they do not realize that, unless you have time to follow news about altcoin, try to avoid investing in them.

I don't think a wallet service that describes itself as a decentralized wallet is trustworthy or worth downloading.
1135  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Opinion on Binance termination of some spot trading pairs. on: August 11, 2023, 01:10:08 PM
or it will be converted directly into USDP on the Binas platform. I think the conversion will be into USDT. https://www.binance.com/en-IN/feed/post/216379

They do still have BNB which means that they are not giving up that one and the yare doing a good job with that, nobody wanted them to stop BNB apparently. BUSD is not a must in this market and as long as we have other alternatives it will be fine.
Yes, it is good that there is no BUSD, but as far as it proves that Binance is doing things wrong or that there is a problem with them, the same company that was banned from mining BUSD, which is the Paxos Trust Company, is the same that cooperates with Paypal in Paypal USD (PYUSD).

https://paxos.com/2022/08/23/how-paxos-works-with-paypal-to-build-innovative-crypto-products/

BNB is traded on some exchanges but the main trading volumes are still in stablecoins, X/USDT is the most popular trading pair.
1136  Economy / Economics / Re: It ain't meant to be easy on: August 10, 2023, 02:27:20 PM
Commitment to a specific goal is what makes you reach this goal. If you do not commit to the goal, even easy things will turn into hell. Some jobs do not require a lot of effort, but the loss of desire is what makes it difficult. If you consider this forum as a job, sometimes creating 25 posts per week is boring compared to spending Hours in the Twitter app.
it can be applied to every job whenever I feel bored will be difficult, even if it is an hour a week.
1137  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [WARNING] Wallets created with Libbitcoin Explorer (bx) are insecure! on: August 10, 2023, 02:18:33 PM
The question is related to the title of this thread: Wallets (seed words) created with libbitcoin (which wallets?)
You will find the list with a wiki link https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Libbitcoin

Quote
Projects Using Libbitcoin
Airbitz
Bitprim
Cancoin
Chip-Chap
Darkleaks
Darkwallet
Darkmarket
Mastering_Bitcoin
Metaverse
OpenBazaar
Teechan

Most of these projects are dead or have been renamed, for example Airbitz has been renamed to EdgeApp and you will find Libbitcoin https://github.com/EdgeApp/libbitcoin-client otherwise popular wallets do not use Libbitcoin
1138  Economy / Economics / Re: People don't understand the problem with monetary system. on: August 10, 2023, 01:27:36 PM
In ideal societies, the individual works 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and at the end of the months he gets a salary sufficient to buy products. These products have fixed prices or change once or twice during the year so that this individual does not notice these changes. By the end of the year, he finds this worker who has Money enough for him to invest or start a side project, then he will not think about the monetary system, inflation, the government’s policy of printing money and others. I am almost certain that most of us’ knowledge of the economy was due to inflation, when you find prices rising on a weekly basis and your salary is not sufficient for these prices.

Therefore, we cannot blame the previous generation, especially since from 1990 to 2020 economic shocks occurred every 5-6 years and not every two years or several times during one year. Bitcoin adoption will increase as more people learn more about the economy.
1139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Price in Respect of News on: August 10, 2023, 01:12:38 PM
I do not see a change in the price of Bitcoin during the previous weeks, and do not look at the price only, but at the trading volumes near the resistance level, which does not seem to be sufficient to break the top.
Tracking the price using general bitcoin charts that gives you a limited reading of the nature of the market. Use the trading view with moving averages and trading volumes to get a reading of whether the price is at a normal level or if something will happen.

News affects retail investors which is often translated as a change in supply and demand, which is not happen.
1140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hacker attacks again on: August 10, 2023, 12:58:36 PM
If a hacker worries about legal problems from hacking and fund steal because these activities are illegal, the hacker will not do it. After hacking massive fund, then start to think about legal problems, it is not logic.

Not only legal problems, but suppose, for example, that you were able to hack a platform and collect $ 500 million, how will you be able to launder this money or transfer it to something legal without revealing your identity?

This is why I think it is going to be quite important that we are going to end up with no company accepting that and making sure that anyone who tries to hack into any company will end up getting the court chasing them and they will always be on the run trying to hide and never come out and that's why it is scary to hack into big companies.

Yes, but is it hard to hack these projects?

Sometimes the material value of the hack is not important.

A company may pay hackers to thwart a competing company like coinbase pay for some hackers to hack Binance hot wallet.
We can see it in DDOS attacks. If these massive attacks did not exist, no one would use Cloudflare, which some goverMments may use to obtain data.
