1121  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How do we measure crypto adoption within our country. on: December 08, 2023, 11:55:29 PM
Op if you ask me I go say you don already carry your mouth answer the question wey you carry come oo, because like this na from centralized exchange naim dem take dey measure the adoption of cryptocurrency for each country or nation. So like this now, the data wey the exchange dey get naim dem dey take package these country adoption rate. But wattin dey shock me pass na be say that information wey  dem give there fit nor dey correct,l. Because na only for exchange Dem fit extract data, how about some person wey dey use nor wallet wey nor require any personal information, and na only dem wey register the wallet naim know their password.

I believe say many of those foreigners dey use normal segwit wallet so for Dem to get their details, to publish am go dey very hard. Anyway before making deposit for most wallet apps, some apps nor dey allow direct buying of crypto unless say dem use exchange take buy am, then try to send am go their wallet.

I still leave the floor very open for our superiors them, abeg make una shock mouth.
1122  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Altcointalk forum go be our second online home? on: December 08, 2023, 11:35:10 PM
Omor, op thank you for bringing this kind of update come this board today oo, when I click the link, the interface of the forum wan be like Bitcointalk own, so I believe say if person wan really use that forum e nor go too hard before we go understand everything wey concern am. And I thing wey still sweet my belle na when I scrol go down come still go find the Nigerian local board, and I still see some of this forum members wey dey there, and some of them don turn boss. But when I observe closely I come see say dem write teleport for some people account, abeg e get anybody wey know the work of that teleport or how Dem take dey run am? Abeg if you get the update make you no forget to share, e go really dey very helpful for the boys.
1123  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: I need clarification regarding this. on: December 08, 2023, 10:24:10 PM
Op first of all, I go like clear you say them no ban crypto for Nigeria oo, but dem just add restriction so that we no go fit access am through our normal fiat bank. ie we no go fit use bank take make deposit to any crypto site or platform, like exchange or wallet, so if you try to use your ATM debit card to take make this transaction e go work, and your bank sef fit even froze your account for attempting, so that CBN no go withdraw license from dem or sue dem to court.

Then concerning this Bitcoin matter or other crypto related stuff for Niger. All of us know the know our kpokpo dey behave, once dem find out say u don do small thing wey dey somehow faulty, dem go just carry charge take gum you, but las las na money go end the whole issue. so as you dey waka, you no suppose dey press your phone sef, talk more of say na crypto matter naim make you dey press am. Because crypto journey na very anonymous one, so we no suppose do wattin go make that matter gbolo.
1124  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Rip @ light_warrior on: December 08, 2023, 05:20:19 PM
It's just so painful knowing that someone who was active here in this forum 6days ago is no more, I'm short of words to say but, we'll miss you Mr Light_warrior. The feeling of losing someone precious is just so not acceptable at first, I can't even imagine what the family is going through right now, especially his lovely daughter. Indeed his contribution to this forum was noticeable, proving that he was indeed a legend that would be remembered. RIP Light_warrior

Ones again, my condolence to his family.
1125  Economy / Reputation / Re: Light_warrior / Memorial thread ... 🕯️ on: December 08, 2023, 04:47:11 PM
Rest on hero, I joined this forum at the beginning of the second half of the year, though I did not have any discussion with Mr light_warrior but when I checked the meta board, I could see that he was among the first set of persons who helped fought against plagiarism, spam post and scam in this forum. Indeed he has served well in this forum as a good contributor, though I didn't have the opportunity to say thank you to him for keeping the forum in a good shape, but anyway wherever your soul is, thank you Mr light_warrior.

My condolence to the family of light_warrior.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: December 08, 2023, 10:55:08 AM
To be honest, I'll admit that 70% of gambling is based on luck, while the remaining 30% is from the knowledge you put in, or have about the game you're gambling in. Most especially when we are talking about gambling games that generate number randomly, eg are games like dice, poker, aviator, football virtual games etc. all these games uses random number generation system to produce results, that we gamble in, so they are all based on luck while the remaining 30% can be exercised in sport betting. One can use the knowledge he has on their head to head to make prediction, and other factors like players resent in the match. Though most times the result tends to drift away from our prediction.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be watchful it's not yet time on: December 08, 2023, 09:52:37 AM
It's true we have to be very careful with the media feeds because, most of the persons behind those feeds are actually crypto haters or, those working the government. Just to suite the desires of the government in power to bring down crypto, they can publish false alarm of the market moving towards a bear run, so as to attract the attention of investors to sell their coin with the profit they have. I personally don't give a fuck about the news feeds when it comes to crypto prediction, most especially when the news is negative about the crypto market or trying to manipulate the mind of crypto investors.
1128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you say within your limits to encourage responsible gambling? on: December 08, 2023, 01:42:09 AM
At first you don't have to harass your customer or clients for any reason because as to me I would say it embarrassment knowing that everyone knows their limits and strength they should go otherwise it's not ethical to go speak to your customers not to gamble anymore while your main objectives is to be productive and make sure the company progresses. So whenever the a bettor decides to leave then they take their walk besides there are rules and regulations that govern and abides to gamblers except I am not on duty then I can advise such person to set limits on himself or herself.

No Mr SmartGold01, I think what the op means is a betting how out of compassion is giving advice to a gambler for he/she to leave the casino hall with their win so as not to experience any more loss. I does not necessarily mean that the staff would yell at the customer to leave the casino hall, or would forcefully tell the gambler to leave the hall. beside here in my area we see all these kind of thing on a regular base, and most time the gambler out of his win might even gift the staff some of his win because it's very rear to hear such advice against the will of the company's staff. And since it's just an advice from the casino staff the gambler might choose to obey or not after all it's a free decision and it's his money.
1129  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: New policy on internet banking on: December 07, 2023, 10:01:07 PM
This no be bad new sha, intact na very good news because all those switches for this country fit carry person money run, and the worst thing na be say some of them no get license, actually wattin this news dey talk na be say some of those payment system online wey no get license naim dem wan end so. So op abeg edit your post because all those Opay, Kuda, Monie point, piggyvest etc nor follow for those online banks dem wey no get license, opay dem dey out of this discussion. Na very good thing as opay rush come outside come shook mouth put for the matter say dem nor follow, make other fintech banks dem also do likewise, so that people mind go rest, because this matter people don dey understand am the wrong way.
1130  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: [ECONOMICS] Which Way Nigeria? on: December 07, 2023, 09:17:12 PM
Op you for try make the thread very easy to understand, because e dey very complicated to understand as Mate talk, before I understand wattin you dey talk I gat read am three time to understand everything wey you talk. To the thread discussion, this news wey you carry come so na very bad one, e nor dey good at all for we the citizen, because the country no dey even produce any better thing wey person fit say if any import company commit we get backup company wey go cover up. I nor blame dem we the country as a whole nor dey try, just imaging as inflation wan kill our economy, and our government sit down dey look, and the worst part na be say dem still dey plan to borrow more money. To be honest Nigeria naim get the highest set of foolish self-centered politicians.

I no lie you this thing just dey vex me, like this na para I don dey para so, if I get my way this country no go see my back again for life.
1131  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Watin supposed be d punishment for fraudster? on: December 07, 2023, 08:38:34 PM
I no go lie you, that punishment na punishment wey even your enemy no suppose experience, how you go tell me say na human being naim sitdown make this kind of law, to take punish em fellow human beings, the truth of the matter na be say e too much, no be say I dey support evil or side yahoo boys oo, but humanly speaking e too much, even person wey kill most times judge no dey sentence am to live in prison talk less of person wey na fraud e do. If dem dey very serious with this financial crime punishment, I go like make dem still carry am come Nigeria so that e go reduce the corruption rate for Nigerian politics. so that  after person don rule for sit and them find am guilty of fraudulent activity, e go just go prison straight up and that one fit make others wise not to partake in such wicked activity. Anyway I no sure say na the normal punishment year to serve for prison be that, the punishment year depend on intensity of the crime, like this Sam Fried own na, dem say na $64 billion em exchange down.
1132  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Abi we dey head to anoda cash scarcity again but in different way? on: December 07, 2023, 08:16:58 PM
Actually e don tay well well wey I go bank go withdraw funds, mostly na pos I dey like use take dey run my thing, I I use transfer, beside to go bank sef dey sabi tire person. However thank you very much for this wonderful update, although I been don dey expect am since because e don turn normal thing for every December. As December just reach money go scarce and na that same time you go see say all banks go come dey get network issue, I still dey expect to see another hike in the price of fuel because that one sef na normal occurrence for the month of December every year. So all this things no be new thing, but the part wey dey pain me pass na be say, no be say na by accident these things take dey happen, na just some person wey don conspire to bring this scarcity, because if you watch well for the time of petrol scarcity, you go see say na one by one the filling station dem take dey open, as this one lock, the second one go open.
1133  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is cyber crime the last resort of the struggling Nigerians on: December 07, 2023, 07:30:29 PM
I no go fit ague too much for that statistics wey dem give, because the rate of yahoo boys for this country don too much,  70% is either accurate or very close to accurate. Now a days youth, dem dey clam say na dem dey pay their school fee and na so dem dey do illegal things to take get money. But even if that statistics dey correct, my own question na, how dem wan use take stop am since dem don know say student wey dey do cyber crime many, abi them go go schools dey go arrest all the students? Even if dem go try to use their dressing take identify the bad boy, no be every body wey dey dress indecent naim be yahoo boy oo, some persons just like to dey dress like that , because dressing na fashion and na wattin you like you go carry you money buy, though most time e dey put us for trouble like for this scenario.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you say within your limits to encourage responsible gambling? on: December 07, 2023, 12:23:18 PM
Actually I thinks it's not a bad idea trying to advice a gambler to leave the casino with a good win, but not all customers would want to see that you're really helping them, some after leaving your casino they'll go to the next casinos around that area and continue gambling. Though in my area where I reside, we often see cases like this where the staff in charge of placing your bets or paying you, will at some point advice you to leave with you profit, but some person wouldn't take the advice and they'll continue gambling and loss everything. In a real sense the staff advising the gambler is not helping the casino company at that time, and might loss his/her job if they were to be reported by the gambler.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: December 07, 2023, 12:11:29 PM
Yeah man that felling is general, I don't usually gamble to win a lot of money, which means I gamble with small stakes but yet the feeling of having a straight 3 or 5 strike win is different from when you have experience some loses in strike. despite the amount I used in gambling, whenever I experience loss, my mood changes and it obvious to anyone I have contact with that period, for like an hour I'll still be feeling moody. But the interesting part is that I am looking forward to stop that behavior, and I think it's actually helping me now. After gambling I try to interact with lively persons so as to keep the good vibe going, and this practice has really been helpful when it comes to my mood change after gambling.
1136  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What influences your decisions on: December 07, 2023, 11:13:51 AM
For me if i wan buy crypto, na only bitcoin I dey buy now and the only thing wey dey influence me buying Bitcoin or my accumulation na DCA, I no get time wey I take dey buy, anytime wey money enter my hand, I go just carry small portion take buy either from person or directly from bank. So I no dey hope on price movement before I start to buy, though e get one strategy wey JJG been give for buy the dip and hold oo, e say make wey add DCA and buy the dip so that if na every month wey you take dey do DCA you fit just try to find the dip for that month den buy for the dip, for example as Bitcoin don reach 44k and e don come down to 43.1k na to just buy for here so that when e increase back to 44k, you go get small profit. Mostly buy the dip na strategy wey dey widely practiced by traders, so if you be trader I recommend make you buy for for the dip.
1137  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nah lack of common sense or greed?? on: December 07, 2023, 10:41:01 AM
For this matter en, I go say we nor suppose blame the government. Even if we wan blame them, na to blame them for bad road, because many of these accident na bad port holes dey cause am. If I go rate the percentage of the cause of this kind of accident I go say 30% na to the government for bad roads, then 20% na to the driver wey dey drive like say na fast and furious without watching the road well or slow down for bad place, because every company wey dey deal with road movement supposed get required speed limit wey truck drivers nor supposed exceed for express or for inside town. Then 50% of the blame dey go to the individuals wey carry thief for mind to take go collect wattin no be their own, why human being go even think of to go collect fuel from tanker wey get accident and fuel dey pure. The one wey come dey vex me pass na the foolish ones wey go come go try to smoke around there, or cause fire for there. Sometimes I dey imagine if na send Dem even send Dem to do that kind of thing, or abi na suicide bomber wey see another opportunity.
1138  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: As our economy dey so, Bitcoin na blessing to us? on: December 07, 2023, 10:23:11 AM
To be honest ehn, Bitcoin na the best thing wey happen to me this year, the learn wey I learn about am naim dey sweet me pass because even the small investment wey I don do, I dey see better change wey dey sweet my belle, and I still dey give a very big thanks to this forum members wey help me achieve this goal, assuming say i nor know about Bitcoin I for still dey think say to buy bitcoin person must get the full money to take buy 1BTC before em fit buy am. Anyway apart from investing wey Bitcoin dey offer, na still one of the safest wey to take make transaction using wallets, the feature of P2P without any intermediary na just one of the best feature wey person fit experience for business transactions. And no be say na person dey one place sef dey control the entire Bitcoin network, this na one of the thing wey make our government dem nor dey like make am succeed for the country, because no way for them to manipulate anything wey concern am.
1139  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Imagine wetin we fit use BITCOIN do on: December 07, 2023, 08:50:16 AM
Make we talk true, people fit dey spend bitcoin for other countries, just the way dem dey spend their normal paper money but I just dey reason how that kind thing fit Happen for Nigeria, because people wey no sabi about bitcoin still plenty ooo, see the high level of illiteracy in this country, na just young guys wey dey come up and dem dey educated sabi bitcoin, and some of them go just tell you say dem dey hear about bitcoin but dey no get interest, but some wey get interest self immediately dey hear say na money you go use start am, they go just free am because person wey never see money chop go invest in bitcoin.

I understand wattin you dey try talk oo, but I go still like to remind you say e no get anything wey our country people no go fit do, weda na illiterate of learned person, we sabi adapt to things easily, just remember the time wey Dem been change the new naira note new and Dem come create policy say dem no wan see old note for our hand, within a short period of time. That time both market women come start to dey accept transfer wey we know say for life dem no go try am, and till today many of them still dey accept transfer, so provided say e don dey legal for we country, I believe say em daily use and adoption no go be problem.
1140  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Central Bank of Nigeria Cutting Ties with Crypto instead of Regulating on: December 07, 2023, 08:10:11 AM
Op wattin you talk na true oo, assuming say our CBN no place that restriction for crypto, by now our country for don better pass like this, when it comes to inflation. And mind you no be because of inflation naim make people never still invest for bitcoin, if you talk say na because of unemployment I go say na true but, inflation can never be the cause why people never invest for Bitcoin, beside Bitcoin investment no necessary mean say na full Bitcoin you go buy once, if you do DCA take dey buy small small, you go arrive for any goal wey you set. And the sweetest part of bitcoin adoption and acceptance na be say, e go even help you reduce inflation for country wey accept am, because e go boost your economy somehow, and still attract other external investors.
