1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: November 04, 2022, 09:12:42 PM
I just want to add that in some countries, lottery winners are revealed in public because of transparency issues. I just don't know what specific countries are those. But as far as my knowledge on that is concerned, it's only the lottery as the gambling type that has cases of revealing winners.

Outside the lottery or other gambling types, there are no cases I  heard that winners are revealed. And if we refer to online gambling sites, that is something we can't expect even if there's no privacy data act or something regulations like that.
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why these coins never touch previous ATH on: November 04, 2022, 09:08:43 PM
It's because once hype were done on that specific coin, there will be no repeat even if bitcoin prices will be bullish. It's because the majority knows that scenario since then. Only BTC has the ability to establish different All-Time Highs and if some altcoins can be brought by that bullish trend, then I can call it luck. Even top coins are struggling to make an uptrend even BTC will be bullish. Another factor is that those coins that never touch their previous ATH weren't able to handle the bear trend that's why the trust of their shillers, holders, and investors now fades.

Be wise in choosing altcoins even those experience a big hype before.
1123  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: November 04, 2022, 09:01:24 PM
Nice pointers you have there and I think responsible people know well how to execute those properly.

And for anyone's information, majority of rich people especially businessmen and investors are really strict when it comes on money management.

Those who are average earners are sometimes doing such reckless move that's why they ended up being busted every payday.
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you watching Online Gambling Streams? Short survey and discussion on: November 04, 2022, 08:59:16 PM
The survey takes about 10-12 min and can be answered in English or German.
https://limesurvey.allgpsy.uni-due.de/index.php?r=survey/index&sid=195442&lang=en

I know and understands well that the survey was for your thesis purposes but just a suggestion that you might want to take out those question that I think doesn't necessarily like how watching a gambling stream feels since I'm sure only those who like to watch live stream will take part of the survey.

10-12 minutes seems long. Maybe try to shorten it to 5 minutes.

Anyways, I cast my response. Hope it helps.
1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: November 03, 2022, 11:52:06 PM
He can decide not to go public but he still posed there. I don't believe that he was forced to do it.

Besides, I don't a topic like this should need further discussion. Why you guys are making it a big deal?

It doesn't happen at most cases that's why you don't need to worry much.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do think that POGO should be declared as legal or Illegal ? on: November 03, 2022, 11:48:38 PM
Obviously, POGO is 100% legal as long as they are regulated and pass all the necessary documents to become legal.

The problem here is not the POGO itself but there are corrupt officials who give power to those illegal gambling companies to operate in the country.

That's what the authority needs to do, to crack down on those illegal gambling operations so that people will only put their money on legal ones.
1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won 9600$ in dice by mistake with 2% chance on: October 31, 2022, 11:50:44 PM
I hope he has his winnings and is enjoying it with his friends or family, not gambling for a while.

With that winning, I doubt OP won't gamble for a while.

It's understandable that he won't quit gambling for now as long as we enjoy some of our winnings.

That lucky event can't be expected the second time around so OP should wisely use the winning money.
1128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it really possible to quit on these reasons on: October 31, 2022, 11:48:34 PM
Reasons may be varied per person on how they will quit gambling.

If the said gambler is still responsible for their other doings but having a hard time stopping gambling, they can just do gambling slowly, and later on, for sure they will now able to control themselves.

If the said gambler, on the other hand, is now in the worst condition as a gambler, they can't help themselves now and on that, their family and friends now play an important role to help these people.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are five things you will do if you win huge amount of money?? on: October 31, 2022, 11:46:03 PM
What are the major five things you will do if win huge amount money?. Is it to buy are car or start a business?        Let's discuss about it together.

You are asking what are the major five things to do if we win huge money, what's the point of discussing these if that's our personal choice?

Anyway, can we just wait if we won huge money first? It's good to expect that first before how to use the money. Smiley

No need to discuss though what's our plans. Let's just mind our own business.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 31, 2022, 11:43:10 PM
Converge is now on their 4th game winning streak.

I really want to follow this team and where they should end up this elimination.

I hope that after securing at least a good spot in the playoffs, they can take advantage of that and reached their first-ever semis or Finals appearance.

The old alaska spirit still flowing in their bloods hahaha, but kidding aside, yes, I'm also seeing the good improvement of this team
If ever they will manage to take a slot to semis, it will be a good and impressive start for coach Ayo. I admire this coach very young but
full of IQ in reading players' capabilities.

We are not sure if how far they can reach but seeing converge competing so well and winning games the way it wasn't expected,

On that note, Converge is bringing good competition as an individual franchise.

Only a few Alaska players remained on Converge. I think only 3 players so we can't link that Alaska spirit here. Cheesy

The performance of their import might contribute to how the locals are playing well right now.

Plus as you point out, their head coach is also playing an important piece. It's been a while since we saw non-SMC or MVP teams sitting in the Top 3.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 31, 2022, 11:40:34 PM
Bob Arum won't do that for sure even if the market is too good for both promoters if Inoue will go straight to the champions, either Fulton or Murodjon. There's a lot of undefeated boxers on the super-bantam division that will be good for Inoue in his first fight, testing the waters first will be the best option, there's no need to hurry even if Inoue have a good chance against these guys.

Since Naoya Inoue is currently prime, he can generate more money by fighting other boxers in the meantime instead of going against directly the champions. Like what happened to Pacquiao during his prime and being managed by Bob Arum, there are fights of his that give disappointment fans but in return, still always produced sold-out tickets and PPV. As we know Arum, he will maximize what Inoue can bring before considering him to fight for the title match.

From what I see if ever Inoue will moved up, he will have 2-3 non-title fights first then after that, a title match will be next.

1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 30, 2022, 11:53:52 PM
However the case of Inoue is different, if he wins his next fight against Butler and he becomes the undisputed he will immediately get a chance to fight for a title, this is the reason Usyk and Canelo after becoming undisputed champions on their division could immediately try to get a championship on the next division, and this is key as it could save Inoue a bunch of fights to prove his worth on the next division,

Naoya Inoue already said a couple of months ago that he wants to face the current WBC and WBO super bantamweight Champion Stephen Fulton once he moved up a weight division and successfully achieved being the undisputed bantamweight champion by defeating Paul Butler.

The Japanese monster is really comfortable that he can easily adopt well to the 122 lbs environment from 118 lbs.

“At 122 pounds, I can move more, and I think I can demonstrate my strength more. I don’t know how much damage I can do to opponents who should be naturally bigger. It will be an unknown world. - Naoya Inoue

Not just Stephen Fulton, but Murodjon Akhmadaliev, the WBA and IBF  are waiting for Inoue too.

Yes, Inoue says that he is more comfortable at 122 lbs, his body could adapt easily at this new weight class as it is much easier for him to lose and diet around it.

So it will be interesting weight class once he officially move in, because Casimero is also having his baptism of fire in Super Bantamweight/Jr. Featherweight at the end of the year.

The question is, will Bob Arum will push his cash cow to face either Fulton or Akhmadaliev right away after moving up?

Naoya Inoue is really a monster but we have to consider also that most of his fights are based on his homeland, Japan.

I don't know if his potential as a monster will still be seen if the crowd is against to him or not dominated by the Japanese audiences.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Websites vs Casino Apps: Which Option is Better? on: October 30, 2022, 11:51:47 PM
The two serve their purpose if you're a constant traveler having an application is good if you like to play at home the desktop version will serve you better, I have not tried the application version of the casinos I'm playing maybe because they are not promoting it and others do not have an application version, seldom that we see an application openly encourage by the casino to its users although there are advantages using it for other gamblers.

Even if you are traveling, you can still access the website version of the gambling site and there's no need to open it on the application. But as far as I know, it's only a few cases where gambling site operators have their own applications. Mostly, users have to access it on the website.

Maybe these operators don't want a hassle way to developed and maintain an application since in the first place, everything can be done in the website.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 30, 2022, 11:48:17 PM
I wonder if this is an exhibition match, and therefore to a greater extent a contractual match, then how in this case you can bet on it, because this is manipulation and insider in its purest form and relying on Pacquiao's skill here is very reckless.

It's very obvious that bookies will not list this fight due to the fact that it's an exhibition match and there's no flame between the participants.

If ever you will see bookies that will cover this match, then think twice before placing your bet as it might play you instead.

Besides, why place a bet on exhibition matches where there are thousands of other options to place your bet.
1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it really possible to quit on these reasons on: October 30, 2022, 11:46:14 PM
I pick the
Quote
You can when you lose a huge amount
it happens to me before I really quit but only to come back as a much better gambler, losing a huge amount and quitting right away is good for your mental health, it made you realize your mistake and become better the next time you come back, I quit, but back again after two weeks with good control of my urge.
Every time I am on the brink of losing my control I just remember the pain of losing huge.

Only if others will end up with the same as yours.

Unfortunately, losing a huge amount might trigger the desire to gamble more to chase the loss. That's the reality for most gamblers. The eagerness to recover that amount will just be fueled more because the loss amount is really big.

To quit gambling, there's no other way but to become dedicated to doing so.
1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: October 29, 2022, 11:20:22 PM
Technically speaking and let's say they are 100% serious, Jake Paul might has the upper hand here. Even Anderson Silva is an experienced fighter, his body might not cooperate according to his will because obviously, the capability is not present now.

But either way, I won't place a bet at this fight as maybe there might be irregularities here or sort of manipulation. Who knows.
1138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 29, 2022, 11:16:14 PM

Manny though is known to hold up his power even during his latter part of his boxing days specially after he became a Christian. So most likely, I'm not seeing him giving DK his full power. Maybe few touch up here and there and show his speed with the fans and that's it. Maybe Manny will win by decision in this fight I reckon. Most important thing is that everyone will enjoy this fight, seeing the legendary boxer again.

But we don't know the rules of this exhibition fight.
Will there be judges and will they proclaim a winner?
Each exhibition fight has their own rules to follow, because it is not a usual professional boxing fight.
But if they will proclaim a winner, I'll bet definitely for Manny here.
As Manny is doing this charity, it may end up as a draw. Let's see how this fight will end up..

Exhibition matches sometimes doesn't have a winner.

Since the goal is to entertain people, both parties surely has a deal on how will be their performance on the ring.

Scripted at most cases because the goal is to gather profits.
1139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lottery's defense to not paying a huge winning. on: October 29, 2022, 11:13:48 PM
The only thing we can do here is to speculate.

Since we don't know if the lottery really provides all the support evidence that the man cheats while on the other hand, we are not even sure if the man is really true to his words, we can't say who's the right between them.

Maybe someone can put up another source or link about what happened on this case.
1140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Websites vs Casino Apps: Which Option is Better? on: October 29, 2022, 11:08:26 PM
In my case, I want to gamble on the website instead of thru applications. I don't like gambling related applications that requires some permission in order to run which is usual in Android device.

Maybe I will consider trying an application version if that gambling site is really the platform that I always used.
