1121  Economy / Economics / Re: Yearly >Trendy< Crypto Markets, Is Crypto becoming like Tech Fashion? on: September 11, 2020, 05:01:04 PM
That’s how it happens in every market like this, there are always trends, even in other areas that are unrelated, just like fashion, there are usually trends almost every year and that’s the same thing we are seeing right now in cryptocurrency. Every year we get in I always see new trends pop out from nowhere, things that I don’t know about, they will just come out and start trending.

Now a lot of people are hyping the DeFi market, it wouldn’t be a surprise to me if they are already building something else that is different from this DeFi, and before you know it another thing will start trending and Investors will forget about DeFi that they once all saw as precious and move for a new trend.
1122  Economy / Economics / Re: In COVID-19 everyone needs motivation on: September 11, 2020, 04:09:13 PM
It is really not something that we could all expect to find a silver lining in it, things are not like that all the time, sometimes something happens and it is all bad with no ying yang good in bad type of situation and just sucks all the way through, we have heard that type of stories everywhere, like a very good person and a family member getting hit by a car and dying, how could you find a silver lining there, it would be idiotic even to try.

This is why I believe it is quite important to not find motivation and something good in the current situation, but to find perseverance and dedication to get better, yes it sucks right now and yes it is horrible that what is going on all around the world but what are we going to do? Just roll over and die? We have to get up and get better, we have no other choice.
1123  Economy / Economics / Re: I have Good news and Bad news about economy on: September 10, 2020, 07:02:41 PM
You posted this on August 30th. Man before you started making this your so called “predictions” all these things have already happened, companies and factories were closed down and people lost their jobs, economies went down, and stock markets and others went down before going up again; gold decreased, S&P 500, and cryptocurrency all went down, and after a while they started going up again.

So, your predictions are coming late, you’re just talking about things that has already happened before now, and you still expect people to be paying you for it? There is nothing wrong with you asking for money, but if you really want people to be paying you for that, you should try to do better.
1124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bithumb In Trouble, Police Raids Exchange for Second Time In One Week on: September 10, 2020, 05:22:48 PM
This exchange just ruined their reputation in a short time Sad, really bad for them, because with what’s happening right now a lot of people are going to start losing interest in their exchange and start going for other exchanges that are better.

Right from the time when I joined the cryptocurrency market, Coinbase and Binance has been the only option for me, and I have never bothered myself about looking for any other exchange even though people claim that there are better exchanges out there, I never want to stress myself. And funny enough, I hardly make use of these exchanges lately, I have moved to making use of a local exchange because they have a rate that is far much better than these big and global exchanges.
1125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!! Peter Schiff was right, again............. on: September 10, 2020, 02:41:41 PM
Someone made a point that no one can tell you where the market is heading to if they don’t own 100% of the market, if the market was owned 100% by a particular person, they can tell where the market is heading next, but since they don’t, the market still remains unpredictable. Just look at the image uploaded by o_e_l_e_o, up to 80% of the voters on Twitter didn’t agree with what Peter Schiff has to say.

The cryptocurrency market and stock market do head the same directions at times, but it doesn’t happen all the time, there are lots of times they will be heading two different directions. I can remember there was a time that cryptocurrency market was crashing, but gold kept increasing in price. As for the decrease during the pandemic, it didn’t come as a surprise to me, a lot of markets were affected.

1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest for quick gains only on: September 06, 2020, 04:03:40 PM
Sometimes I don’t invest in new projects due to the hypes that are surrounding them. Some are just a way to create pump and dump. They try to hype it and then people start buying and the next thing they will dump their bags on the late investors.

So anyone that has plans to invest in these projects has to be very sure of what they want to invest their money into. If you can’t find a new project that seem reliable, it’s best that you stay clear from them and only invest in the old ones. I don’t know why people usually think that they will benefit more from new projects than the old ones, okay that might be true, but the old ones are more reliable and you wouldn’t have to bother yourself, or fear waking up and the project has disappeared.

I would say that considering you guys are doing a different style of betting and not really call it sportsbook but more like just betting, I would assume that there must be a ton of manual stuff. Plus we talked about how it is parimutual betting so it is basically between all people that bet to decide on the odds (LOVE IT) and also how much we could make as well, time changes as well because if you wager early on the same thing you could make more or less than a person who wagers later.

So, I would understand that you guys probably already have your hands full, I would totally understand if you couldn't add in more and more stuff. You guys are not like other websites that have a "sportsbook" but they just rely on third party providers to do the job for them and just get the profit.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 30, 2020, 06:33:05 PM
I believe even though the protests are not done just yet, I feel like this has made some sort of changes in the way NBA is approaching politics as a whole. We are talking about people who are actually taking the knee all together now, protesting the police brutality and all around registering to vote all together, they are now very very political and that is too important. We all know that NFL was too political as well, Kaep actually took the knee first and he was blacklisted, I agree that he wasn't the best player on earth but people who are worse than him actually got a contract whereas he didn't, he sued for this and even got a ton of money out of it as well.

So, right now NBA as a whole going to other direction that NFL took and from now on you can expect a lot more political stuff from NBA and I believe that is awesome.
1131  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold and Bitcoin history on: August 30, 2020, 05:06:11 PM
Uuhm, the two are different things, although have claimed that Bitcoin is digital gold, whatever, but they are both two different things. Gold has so many ways that it is valuable to man and right from time, back in thousands of years, it has been used for a lot of purposes which includes for buying and selling, building, moulding and so many things that are valuable to man.

Bitcoin relies  on trust, if people don’t trust it they are not going to make use of it, and that trust is what gives it its value; people chose to believe in it, despite that it’s not tangible like its counterpart, and they invest in it and it keeps growing. No matter what, the both of them are really good.
1132  Economy / Economics / Re: The pros and cons of going cashless on: August 30, 2020, 04:26:44 PM
How does extra theft protection work in cryptocurrency? In cryptocurrency you’re in the one on charge of your money and if you make any mistake, or maybe someone else eventually manages to gain access to your wallet, then you should be saying goodbye to your money because I don’t think there is anything like theft protection, so why is it added to the pros? And what do you mean by benefits and bonuses, what benefits are you referring to exactly?

There is convenience in making use of cryptocurrency, maybe that’s the benefit you’re referring to, and you already mentioned it. Something else you didn’t add to the list is the fact that making inter-transactions will be fast and cheap.
1133  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 29, 2020, 03:48:09 PM
Well, depends on what you want to do, I have made some sort of strategy of my own that doesn't involve winning at all and it is certainly not that much fun for most people but it allows me to gamble so much and for so long as well, it is totally one of the best ideas I came up with for myself (not a suggestion for other people).

I gamble with minimum I can, with the biggest possible I can win, the returns suck and I have even seen myself getting "0" when I win, that is how low I get and that is why I love it as well, because if I lose I do not lose too much and if I win I do not win too much but I can continue to gamble for 12 hours and the result would be like 700 satoshi lost, so I can continue to gamble like nothing happened for a very very long time without having to worry about it.
1134  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: August 28, 2020, 06:44:47 PM
I have just been watching people play but I have been missing some of the whales that occasionally come out of the waters to play Cheesy

Its just sometimes fun for me to watch whales play with amounts of money that I
a) dont have Cheesy
b) would never gamble with Cheesy
Yeah, we do not gamble with that kind of money right now because we do not have it, but believe me if you had the type of money they have, you would probably gamble with it as well. Just because someone gambled with let's say 1000 bitcoins as their bankroll, doesn't mean they have 1001 bitcoins, that means they probably have like 20-30 thousand bitcoins maybe even more.

There is also a legal part of it as well, if you want to cash that out to dollars you would have to pay so much taxes and it would take weeks before you are out in the clear without any work, trying to explain "I had bitcoins and now I cashed it out so I want to pay its taxes" takes a long time. Long story short after a while people just get bored of the situation and gamble a small portion of it like 3-5% of it. If I had 30+ thousand bitcoins, I would totally gamble with 1000 of them as well.
When people share their wealth on a gambling platform yet the richest people on earth do not share their wealth that makes you question isn't it? Cheesy. All jokes aside here I have seen so much sharing, I have seen it so much that at one point it was not allowed to beg because there was a ton of people giving out money and people started to beg them for money, which caused a lot of the chat be just begging, eventually it was banned and nowadays I don't know if it is not allowed or not but there is none at least, you do not see it, compared to back in the day when the ban first came where people kept begging and getting banned and kept begging and get banned so it still continued for a while until people got the situation. Long story short, there are tons of people that share here.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 28, 2020, 05:09:03 PM
It looks like all games would resume where they left off from today on forward. Which means games that was postponed first day will be today and games that should have played yesterday will be tomorrow and from then out it would be all like that, just continue without disruption.

I would say it wasn't really that much of a big deal considering they just didn't play for 2 days. I can't say that an NBA strike was a good idea or not, I thought it was a great idea, but I can say that doing it for only 2 days wasn't really a huge deal, if they cancelled the whole season and you suddenly see all the players at bubble suddenly turn up in protests all over the country, leading people in these protests, I would say that it would have made a lot more contribution. Let's see, maybe they will have something special planned when they come back, something extra, that would actually make a lot of sense.
1136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Something unexpected needs to happen? on: August 28, 2020, 03:29:56 PM
The sad thing about bitcoin is the fact that unexpected things could happen in crypto a lot, we are talking about something so volatile and so unregulated that tomorrow there could be 5 billion dollars worth of bitcoin bought and nobody would be shocked, I mean they would be a little shocked but it is not illegal or there is no laws against it, if someone wants to do it they can do it, do you know how hard it is to make a 5 billion dollar purchase for any stock?

It would take weeks even months of getting ready for something like that to happen, in crypto it takes just few hours for the transaction to be confirmed and that's it. That is why do not really put all your eggs in the crypto market, unexpected stuff happens here all the time and you could be not ready when that happens.
1137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin Maximalists are Promoting/Shilling an Altcoin on: August 28, 2020, 12:44:58 PM
Seems like someone is not getting what this is all about; these people that the op has mentioned, who are shilling the ICO, are bitcoin maximalists who despise altcoins including Ethereum. Imagine when you despise something and then start promoting something else that came out from that same thing you despise so much, what makes you think that such thing is right?

It’s totally wrong, it would have been best that they closed their mouth. Cobra was right, if it was other people shilling this project they would have been the ones bad mouthing the project, but because they have got a share in it, they now want to say that it’s good and act nice lol.
1138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news on: August 27, 2020, 04:04:37 PM
Yeah, it’s a good news that the hash rate is increasing. But that aside, people that wants to invest in Bitcoin has been doing that before now and they believed in it till now and that’s what led to where we are now. Hash rate is very important, just as the op pointed out hash rate increases security and that means that Bitcoin history can not be altered.

Apart from that another very important thing that matters in making Bitcoin more secure is the hash rate distribution which I do some people talk about, no need to talk about that now, it’s a whole topic on its own I guess.
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to call the people into crypto on: August 26, 2020, 04:12:09 PM
The world is into technological advancement with high and intelligent development of digital platforms purposely to help and make human life into a convenient world.

Today, DeFi catch the mind, heart, or possible even the pocket of interested persons to grab the opportunities to invest. DeFi or known as Decentralized Finance will change the world perspective with regards to Financial matters which every household own some money and do transactions.

Do you think now is the right time to call the people into crypto world?
If you want to teach people about cryptocurrency you have to teach them the right way. And if you’re going to recommend DeFi projects, be sure to recommend the best one to them and let them understand the risks of investments, that it is not something you rush into, they should understand it first before they start buying.

The problem I do have with some people is that they usually explain cryptocurrency in a way that is wrong, they make it seem like it’s a get rich quick and there are no risks; no that’s wrong, you should make people understand the risks. If they are not ready to take the risks and they want to use it for transactions only, stablecoins would be a better option, although the problem with them is that they are not highly adopted like Bitcoin.
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto passive income - a bubble? on: August 26, 2020, 06:07:24 AM
I see that more and more investors are interested in a passive income that comes from cryptocurrencies. But, I am a little bit afraid that all these concepts: staking, crypto lending, and all form of income that is generated from nothing will end up sooner or later. When you compare mining, you have to buy mining rigs at first, then you need to pay electricity, so you spent a lot of money to mine a Bitcoin and that makes it valuable. What about staking? What you sacrifice to receive new coins?
So do you think that all these things you have mentioned makes Bitcoin mining valuable or better than lending, staking, etc.? When it comes to lending you’re giving your hard earned money to someone and at the end you get interest on top, so why isn’t it valuable? There is no means of income that is not valuable, they are all good as long as it’s legit.

Staking is like investment, and when it comes to investment you’re putting your money into the hands of other people and they use that money to invest in other Businesses that will generate more income for them to pay you back, and also pay with interest. Just choose whatever you think works for you, it’s not a must that you will do what others do, and by the way I wouldn’t recommend mining this time around if you’re not ready to invest more into it, and if you’re living in a place where electricity is costly mining might not be a good option.
