1121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Not Just Buy BTC? on: July 04, 2023, 01:21:02 PM
I've seen over one dozen websites believing that BTC will skyrocket in the upcoming years.
The platform I use is Coinbase.
I'm thinking of just buying BTC-USD and just leaving it be.
Any thoughts on this strategy?

Buying bitcoin is a great idea. You don't have to worry about looking for some "promising" altcoins that may not bring anything in the end, you just buy bitcoin and wait for the bull market. I don't know about the whole market, but I'm confident in bitcoin, it will be a reliable investment that will bring profit. Now bitcoin looks good, but pay attention that it has been growing since the beginning of the year, take this into account, after such growth a correction may follow, remember this and do not deviate from your original strategy.

But the problem with that is you are limiting yourself for the opportunities available in the market. But if you can't afford to have this because you can't trust the altcoins in the market then this is fine being bitcoin maximalist can save you up from many stress that can bring up by some altcoins.
Bitcoin still has a big potential but you need to wait for maybe more longer times before you can see a great changes unto your holdings because bitcoin is meant to be a long term investment if you want to see some great results.
1122  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com Disabled Account After $250K WIN on: July 04, 2023, 11:01:56 AM
More like

Son: I going broke because gamble.
Mom: Here you go son (Blackmailing & Open Donation).

No screenshot, no gameplay proof, and no link for the history game while you're winning 250,000$. It's actually funny, while in the end the @OP asking for some donation ~LOL.
After this he will create another new account on bitcointalk by looking for other ways how to bring down a site as big as Stake on this forum and also get the attention of the forum community to feel sorry for him then donate for him but unfortunately he did not learn from the case that was in the casino ever is in this forum, the importance of screenshots is also other stronger evidence to confirm the case.

I just take this as a new way to cheat so never take it seriously and I'm sure everyone knows how to believe any accusations people are new to the casino, but I also think a lot of active Stake users on this forum they have never had any issues with withdrawals if never break the rules, anyway I'm afraid this thread will become full of taunts to the OP.  Grin

He just want to create a fake scenario which people can see and also for sure his accusation against stake will not proceed due to lack of evidence. But for sure his main intention is to disturb the stake representative since this feed up their ego to do more account and create the same accusation to create another discussion to be discuss by many people. This is how trolls work so I guess its not good to entertain any accusation if they cannot bring a solid proof to support their claims against those casinos.
1123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why MicroStrategy can buy BTC but not other institutions? on: July 02, 2023, 01:25:55 PM
If I understood it correctly spot BTC ETF will allow institutional investors to but BTC, and hence a lot of people waiting spot BTC ETF to be approved. But then how come MicroStrategy is already heavily invested in BTC? Why they can buy it, while other institutional investors waiting for ETF?

Because MicroStrategy knows the potential of bitcoin and they already know how to deal with several market pressure that's why they are here buying more. While other institutional investors still skeptical about bitcoins existence since maybe they don't know yet where to start or if they could even start dealing with bitcoin. Maybe we can't blame them yet since to many warnings spreading about the risk of investing of it so maybe those institutional investors believe on negative about it for now and they didn't see the positive since no one make them understand on every situation happened on bitcoin.
1124  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: July 02, 2023, 10:35:07 AM

When problem show up some people immediately read the TOS which is bad action to do. They should read this while starting to register on their casino to avoid any issue and now this problem occur I think if I'm not wrong the accuser might be lose in this case since he violate the rules of the casino. But either way let see if there's settlement of the issue in good faith so that both parties can solve the issue and move on.
If you have signed up after agreeing to the all the terms mentioned there and raise concern afterwards how should they are responsible for it? They are not providing odds themselves and if they found it void they can cancel it but wait if they want to comment anything on the issue to provide better explanation.

If they just click the I understand button on TOS without reading it their complaints is irrelevant if they post something negative and try to destroy the casino reputation. We see something like that here and good thing that Rollbit always have an explanation to debunk this guys. This remind to other people to read the TOS this is always discussed in this forum so that they can save theirselves from any unwanted incidents where they didn't know that they already violate the rule of the particular casino.
1125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still do business with them? on: July 01, 2023, 10:56:32 PM
Yes, I do believe that everyone deserves a second chance even when it comes to our money and investment as long as we also see some positive changes that is going to take place. But regardless if an exchange is highly reputable or not, the fact that it’s centralized means we don’t have the full control of our investment anymore, then we should take extra careful and caution when doing business with them. And of course, by putting only a small amount of coins at an exchange, we are minimizing the risk of losing.
I agree with the 2nd chance but regarding trust, that was unfortunately not the same as before. Yes, we now become more cautious because even we do business with them again but I know there is already negativity that appears on our mind. But honestly, as the doubts and uncertainties come, this is not a good and healthy investment already. It is better not to continue doing business with them rather than get into such a feeling because it only creates negativity which is somehow not ideal for making a business.

Second chance is only good for people who commit minor mistake. But this? For a institution who create a big financial damage to their community and to a large number of group globally I don't think they deserve a second chance since they could do the same again once they became successful and gather billions of dollars deposit coming from their new traders. There are more other reputable exchange available do why do we need to recycle those compromised exchange?

For me I would not trust them back again and find better exchange.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: July 01, 2023, 02:56:12 PM
I doubt that you can get a 100% way to stop gambling since you are asking this question in gambling board and most of all people here are still participating on gambling events. Also maybe you can only get a answer base on their opinion only with no basis attached.

What is important is the awareness of ourselves who really want to stop gambling. If we have it, we intend to stop gambling and try it. Even if we don't succeed at the beginning, we will keep trying until we succeed and finally, we can definitely stop. But for those already addicted to gambling, it will not be easy because they have to restrain themselves and maybe they need help from others to stop. Their minds cannot forget gambling, especially if they have lost many times. There must be a feeling of wanting to recover from that loss, which is normal, but we must still try to stop for our own good.

Those already been addicted cannot decide for theirselves and its better for them to rehabilitate since this is this is their immediate need yo get out on situation where he can't control his emotions.
1127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Not your key not your wallet on: July 01, 2023, 10:48:37 AM
Coinbase sent this to my email to inform me that I have till September 25th before my account is disabled and I should withdraw my funds before then but the fact is that I have not completed my KYC and so I won't be able to withdraw my funds there. Good thing what I have there doesn't really worth anything. Even if I want to do kyc I still can't because getting my documents would be really tasking for me.
This is among the reason we should be cautious of Centralise exchange because they can choose to change their terms and conditions which may be unfavourable to us.
Ps : I already have this account before I joined this Forum

Coinbase sent this email to inactive accounts so don't get surprised about this since this is normally happen to any wallets if you leave it without having any transaction happened for years.

But if you think there's misconception happen as you are actively using coinbase maybe you need to reach their support to have a clarification to the email they sent to you and also so that they can verify that you are still using their service. If you have doubts and doesn't trust their platform anymore because if this reason better leave it and find an alternative that can fits you well.
1128  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: June 30, 2023, 11:13:55 PM
As @holydarkness have already said he will make the team aware about it by sending them a PM so wait for it to hear from them to clear the matter but you should also be careful while signing up before you agree to the terms which might create a problem for you later. As explained above in their terms so you can't put a blame on them directly for your loss.
Brings me to the much talked about terms and conditions, how many people actually read that being actually clicking the submit button for the form they already filled?

Though some major issues do arise due to users not reading the terms of the casino before signing up, but then, there are some other issues that are totally outside the casinos terms and conditions, so this is to say that, even if a user reads the terms, it still might not stop the user from having issues sometimes.
And now that ball down to one thing,  are those not reading the terms not the same to pronounced the casino as unjust when their run into problem because most of the cases are not substantial enough to form a formidable case against the casino except for the few other that are accompanied by evidence to show that that casino actually blocked or subject to the player to undue principles that are outside their term and conditions.

So it is very important to read the casino terms of service before making your first deposit into the casino, to be able to abide by and avoid troubles along the way up.

1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: June 30, 2023, 02:07:32 PM
Most people hold lotteries mainly to win big prizes but only the lucky ones can win the prize. When a person wins the lottery he hopes to win a good prize but if luckily he loses then he is inclined to buy the lottery again later. After losing a few times like this, he decided to spend more money and play the lottery and gradually he became addicted to it. They continue to lose money in the hope that a person who has won the lottery might win the lottery again and win a bigger prize. By spending money like this, they become addicted like gambling and want to do anything to win the prize. There are many people who are addicted to gambling and spoil their future and plan only to win prizes by gambling. But the life of a gambler and lottery buyer can be enlightened if he can visit a good path. So when a gambler buys a lottery, they must be careful and watch out for this addiction later on.
The existence of prizes from the lottery is what attracts people to continue buying tickets; with cheap ticket prices, they try to buy as many tickets as they can. And if they haven't won one of the prizes, they keep trying to buy a ticket to win it one day. And people get addicted to keep buying the tickets and hoping, so they probably won't stop if they haven't won the prize. Many people become addicted to buying lottery tickets because they are cheap. So when you want to buy lottery tickets, make sure you only use the money you can afford and don't take too many risks so you don't lose too much money either.

The past declared winners inspired people to continue grabbing their tickets because they also fantasize to win a huge amount of money and can change their life instantly. That's why we see to many people always betting especially when the prize at stake became more bigger and bigger. The thrill factor when that scenario came in lotteries increase that's why it create demand for people want to hit a one time big time on their life. Many got addicted and buy a lot of ticket because they think it can increase their chance to win but they realize after that even though they hold a lot of ticket still this doesn't guarantee them to declared as a lucky winner.
1130  Other / Meta / Re: What does post quality really mean on: June 30, 2023, 12:11:35 PM
It mean engaging post that can catch interest of other people, so stay relevant on the discussion made so that they could see that you post relevant and it made them think to give you a merit.
You can also get a merit by posting good threads which has not been posted by other member. That's why good research is important so that you can share something helpful and from that you might be rewarded a merit by other respected forum users.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 29, 2023, 10:43:23 PM
Cheating in gambling will only harm themselves instead of expecting a big reward from one or two successful cheats.
Abusing casinos for personal gain is strictly prohibited and every casino has warned against it in their ToS. OK you probably won't get caught and banned on the first try but when they start suspecting you then you might pay the price.

In the end it all comes down to the individual because some gamblers also seem to be quite capable of taking advantage of their chances of getting good results even if they abuse the casino. Whoever did it should be capable enough to take responsibility because there are always consequences for what we do.
Most addicted gamblers don't care about the system or the consequences; they make critical judgments that may have bad effects in the future; it's none of their business. Gambling is for everyone and not for everyone; it all depends on the degree of games we record; we are not prepared to lose any more money in gambling. Looking at everything related to gambling, I'm ready to cheat in gambling because recounting the huge losses I've documented hurts and I'm currently struggling with funds.

Maybe for now they don't care about the system since they are looking only at the present activities and they care only on how they can make their game long and win consecutively.

Gambling for me is not for everyone since it need patience and discipline and I can't afford to cheat because I don't want to participate on any of it because for sure next to that is banning of our account on casino and to bad for us if they include to take our funds then there's no other way to get that back from them because we have been busted cheating on their casino.

1133  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 29, 2023, 12:37:59 PM
well , that is completely correct , just play in legit and best casinos like roobet and you will face nothing but happiness and enjoying and even if you lose? at least there is a smile in your face going home because you are contented with the result win or lose.
The main concern is not loss but win because if you lost any bet the funds are gone for you but if you win then only legit casinos will let you withdraw them to your address without any restrictions after you comply with regulations if they have any like KYC but if you choose any scam casino then your funds are completely lost even if you win so choose wisely.

I would point out that regardless of the casino you choose, there is a chance of losing. Therefore, it is important to be a responsible player. Play only with the money you are willing to lose, and don’t try to recover losses by raising stakes or playing for large amounts.
In general, choosing a reliable and licensed casino is an important aspect for safe and fair play.

Despite the fact that wherever casino we go still there are chances that we lose and its normal. But at least we choose the most trusted among them since if we just play and don't think about such thing maybe we end up getting scam by those scam casinos. So atleast at that point for choosing the best we can enjoy the game and make sure as you said that we can experience a fair play since reputable casino offer trusted services to their gamblers.
1134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning]: Super Mario 3: Mario Forever game contains Trojan, crypto stealer on: June 29, 2023, 11:06:45 AM
The trojanized game is likely promoted on gaming forums, social media groups, or pushed to users via malvertizing, Black SEO, etc.

So the main problem is obtaining the game from unofficial source, which is common way to get your device compromised if you don't know which unofficial source doesn't share malware. Although for this case, i tried search "Super Mario 3: Mario Forever" but couldn't any link/website which seems to be official.

There are few people seeking for crack version of those games to avoid maybe the fees. But they didn't consider the risk like this that's why other realize late on what action they have done. This is constant reminder that we should download the legitimate games or other apps to legitimate source so that our computers will not compromise by any harmful malwares that can affect us or steal our crypto stored on our computers.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 28, 2023, 02:41:47 PM
My question is if this is just one of many marketing gimmick to make money or create awareness for a project they might be working on.

Who would win of course?

Can such a fight influence the crypto and stock market world majorly?

I have doubt of this fight happening because why will too billionaire that didn't have any beef before just decided that they want to fight each other. They're working in different industry until recently when Elon musk decided to acquire twitter that's a direct competition to Facebook.

Maybe for marketing? Because if they make this fight to happen their businesses will grow more bigger. Then also maybe they like to be written on history that Billionaires CEO fight in cage, this will blow up the whole world and can catch a overwhelming attention to people globally. This is a win win situation for both if they make this exhibition fight to happen. But same as other I doubt they are serious about it since maybe they are just having fun with the noise they created.
1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: June 28, 2023, 12:40:34 PM
My question for you my friends is are there sport betting groups that gives betting calls that are legit? Because I believe that if anyone knows a way to change their life around, they won't tell anyone, they will enjoy the moments and pray it last forever.

If what you meant is are there betting groups that give sure betting odds or correct scores of a sports game? Then I will gladly say that such groups don't exist, as what we have are sports groups that analyze and predict who is likely to win a game, of which those are always likely to be a 50/50 chance of you either winning or losing your bet. But I know there are lots of Telegram groups who claim to offer sure correct scores of fixed matches, which are all scams, and you just have to be very careful when you happen to come across one as they always tend to charge a fee.

This is how those people exploit such thing because they make people  believe thay there's some group like this exist claiming to be a profitable group that sharing some good tips in exchange of vip payments from their members. If we just analyze the situation they don't need such thing if they are really accurate on their bets. So we should avoid those telegram groups claiming some unrealistic claims so that we don't get scam and feed those scammers.
1137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you come up with reliable predictions for prices? on: June 28, 2023, 10:49:14 AM
I've seen a lot of you looking at Bitcoin charts and trying to predict prices. Do I have to remember certain rules or be really good at technical analysis to make accurate predictions? What tools or methods do you use to predict prices? I have enough time and I'm excited to learn the strategies you suggest so I can understand the market better.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1493.0
I have seen some suggestions under some headings but they are too technical for me,(like this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1493.0) Do you have more beginner level suggestions?

Don't expect to much especially when thinking about accurate prediction since there's no such thing exist. There are just hints provided by technical tools that we can use but it doesn't guarantee anything. Maybe best to learn on your own experience since you can develop a skills just for that. And also avoid reading false claim telling that they can give you 100% sure profit since this is shady statement to take. Try to track back past informations especially the Bull and bearish condition to know more about trading in different situations.
1138  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 27, 2023, 11:58:44 PM
~

Since they are still up with those existing contest ideas they really see somethin good in return for doing that and for sure they can see the exposure brought up for what they do here. This is also generous act by this management to launch those contest since they are giving huge rewards to the winners and that makes their promotion more exciting since the result is exciting to wait especially it can make their gambler to do more effory so that they could win those prizes.

Yeah, all casinos of high level should be doing something like that all the time. And if they are using crypto currencies, they should be running various contests here on bitcointalk primarily. Online casinos like Roobet🦘 understand it, and that is why their business is good, they are thriving. Those who want to avoid spending money on such events, will be losers in the future, I have no doubt about that.

Some do cost cutting because they put more huge rewards rather than spending on other marketing methods. They think that signature campaign is enough to spread the word about them and the ongoing promotions happen to their casino. But they forgot that their competitor do the same most provably they didn't get attention especially when the other one like Roobet do multiple marketing methods.  They might not feel the decline but for sure the only one who can survive this business is the one who can support their marketing that's the reason why we see roobet still leading at the top while other casino we see exist before shutdown already their operations.
1139  Economy / Economics / Re: The SEC is right. It's not about Bitcoin, it's about centralized shitcoins. on: June 27, 2023, 12:36:20 PM
I believe it's still the protection of those who are going to be victimized if those altcoins are not going to be regulated or something. They are going to be the ones protecting the people. It's best that people should know what to do and what to invest in so they understand and not lose anything.

This is why we also need to look for the bright side of the regulation they do since it somehow those things are been implemented for protection of people to be away of those potential scams. Although sometimes there decisions are been so harsh and they had been trying to take out those what we think a good platforms, but its still understandable since maybe they don't have deep knowledge about crypto and they have old school outlook about financing. But for sure they can adopt it well if crypto regulation and education will be on highest scale.

If we want to stay away from scams as long as we avoid investing in shitcoins and memescoins... and only focus on bitcoin, then no one can scam us.  i wonder, why do we both want high returns from altcoins and want legal protection at the same time? if we make a profit, we celebrate and even evade taxes, but when we lose, we want justice to be there.

But not all investors know how to use there money in terms of investment and the only thing they know is they can earn  some profit bt trading that's the reason why those shitcoins exist they exploit the other thinking of newbies that they can earn a lot of money out there. Maybe the disadvantage only in regulation happen is taxation but other than that maybe we can see positive things since from that we can potentially see bitcoin will be declared as legal tender if this is well used and presented well to government also to more people.
