1121  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: May 15, 2021, 09:26:35 PM
No, that's not exactly for me. Money is important, but I really pity people that only work for one single purpose - earning money. Living from weekends to weekends, dreaming of a holiday. People spend the majority of their lives working, thus, to live happily and enjoy every day you need to do what you love to do.
I will never quit my job, no matter how much money I've got because I enjoy it. I can't imagine how people can live otherwise.
I understand that if you really love your job even if you earn less, you will not just leave it in exchange for money. But most of the people nowadays prefer to be their own boss and works at their most convenient time and place. If i can earn huge profits from the previous bull run, then why not? I'm not saying that i don't love my job because of quitting but i always prefer to have my own business even before and let it grow with my own skills and strategies.

People have their own preferences when it comes to living their life. Some will really not quit their professional work even if they have enough money to put up their own business because it is how they feel contented in life. They are happy what they are doing. Whereas, some want to be their own boss, and strategize on their own to make and create a living. I guess, we just respect our personal preferences. As long as you are not harming anyone, you can move forward with your life the way you want it to.
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Savix DeFi Token - Gas-free, Automatic, Predictable Staking Without Lock on: May 14, 2021, 11:58:49 PM
I see the price is falling, now is under $19.
According to low supply, this could be a good entrance point.

Correction, the time is now Wink
SVX = $11.70

But the question remains, are they a solid platform that can go back easily? It is hard to trust a project with your hard-earned money. So better make sure that you did your assessments before buying any of their token.
1123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reactions From Musk's Bitcoin criticism on: May 14, 2021, 11:17:50 PM
Elon Musk is smart guy but I don't quite understand why he had to start that negative fud about Bitcoin that tanked the market this week. I know he's probably aware of the fact that majority of Bitcoin's POW miners use renewable energy sources to mine Bitcoin so the energy consumption isn't as high as Elon Musk said it was. What he did was to make it look like investing or supporting Bitcoinis a bad idea and that's why other prominent Bitcoin investors and Maximalists had to step in to protect their bags. The funny thing about this is that even doge coin that Elon constantly promotes compared to Bitcoin also consumes energy at a very significant rate. Tesla is still hold 90% of the Bitcoins though. That's something to keep in mind.

I believe, Elon is pressured by these environmentalists calling out bitcoin for damaging the environment. And because he wants to portray a good image, he temporarily suspended its acceptance. But it is good that he didn't sell the Tesla's bitcoins and instead just keep it. And now, he is going after for doge. We don't know what they will develop in doge. Are they going to deploy massive renewable source of energy on this project?
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: May 14, 2021, 10:21:53 PM
Is doge really going to dethrone bitcoin? People really believe it? I am kind of neutral because Elon seems serious this time. What if he is joking again? Interesting times are ahead indeed. I'll just grab more popcorn.

Hard to imagine, unless Bitcoin is purely an investment coin..like Gold and not really usable. Maybe if it is upgraded to POS

Dethroning bitcoin is far from happening as of this moment. Doge needs to prove first about its usefulness in the market. And right now, they are just starting to develop its efficiency in the payment sector. Though it can be found in many exchanges, still it is not the reason that it can dethrone bitcoin easily. We need more valid reasons why doge can compete with btc, eve in terms of popularity of usage.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Punkcoin - The rebel under the cryptocurrencies on: May 13, 2021, 11:55:15 PM
Thanks for your question. Hard cap is 2,000 ETH, soft cap is 1 ETH. Initial price is 0.000000000002 ETH

The soft cap is very small. Do you think you can move forward with your developments even if you got only your soft cap? Will you be using your own money in some of your development tasks? It is hard to compete these days. And since you are an eth token, people may be hesitant to invest even small amount because of the high fees in eth. What do you think will be the reason for the investors to shell out money on your platform?
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: missed $Doge, missed $Shiba, I have bought $Dogira on: May 13, 2021, 10:59:59 PM
I hate $BTC, it never pump
It never pumped? I think it's just the same feeling that you're having with those meme coins and with bitcoin. You probably have missed the days too when bitcoin was under $40k, $30k, $20k, $10k and even $5k.

It has pumped a lot if you go back track within several months ago and despite with the correction that we see to it today, the gain has been noticeably good and recognizable. But with your strategy of getting into meme coins and despite you've missed the run for the others, I still wish you best of luck.

Maybe, he bought btc at a higher price. Don't know where he is coming from for saying that btc never pumped. We have had a lot of that roller coaster ride even this year alone. First time to hear this dogira coin. My impression is that, this will be another short-lived project and those that will be holding this coin for long term will be holder of worthless coins. They are just riding the hype of doge in the market.
1127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without electricity on: May 13, 2021, 01:50:19 PM
Most of the posts assumes that the electrical outage is localized, which isn't the point of this post if I understand correctly.

Exactly!
Perhaps the example I set was not the best.

But the point here is, that if there is a more widespread power failure (I don't even say it is global) the use of bitcoin is no longer possible.
It is common to say that the person must have a small reserve of money, along with the emergency kit, in case of a natural catastrophe. It is not possible to do this with bitcoin.
Of course, the lack of energy in such a situation is the least of our problems.

But was there any way to make bitcoin, something that can be used in a scenario where electricity is not an option? Perhaps that is impossible.
Even because it happens, with the money we have in the bank, if there is a general lack of energy.

I can't think of any way that bitcoin can be used if there is no source of energy, power bank included or any independent source of energy. So yes, we still do need cash in this scenario. Having bitcoin in your wallet is useless in this situation. But with today's situation, there will always be a source of energy unless, you are really in the remote area where you don't even know how to use solar/wind energy.
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] oBTC on: May 13, 2021, 12:51:15 PM
via Elon Musk@elonmusk

oBTC consumes less energy

But I guess, he will look for more popular alts out there. There are so many that can qualify what he's looking for that are already being traded in many markets. It needs at least to be present in many exchanges so users can easily trade it with. First thing also, do you think he will be impressed if in case he will check this project's website? I believe that is one thing for the dev team to think about.
1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH surge to $6K this week? on: May 12, 2021, 11:29:30 PM
I think with the market is going down (correction), it will be difficult to make the price of ETH can increase to $6k this week, but if the market starts going up very high again this week (bull run), then of course the price of ETH could definitely increase to $6k or even more in a short time (this week), so I think if there is a bull run this week, then of course the price of ETH could definitely hit $6k this week.

This week is too early for ETH to achieve $6k. And you are right, it seems the market is in correction phase, so achieving that target may be hard. But in case the market starts to rally again, we will be seeing price increase again. In my opinion, $6k is very possible for ETH to attain but it is not this week. But in this market, everything is possible to happen. Once bitcoin is going up again, we may see ETH to increase more in the market.
1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]EDUFEX - Blockchain Enabled Platform of E-learning. on: May 12, 2021, 10:34:18 PM
But where is your official website? Only social medial links are posted in your OP? If you want to sincerely contribute in the education of people, you should have your own official website. Also, you need to publish all the individuals with their corresponding profile links, that will be catering their educational services so we know if they have legit academic background and truly qualify in giving education to others.

Now, that I checked again this thread. It is good that they also posted their website in the OP. And though they have published their team members on their site, I believe they need to have more than 3 members here. Maybe at the start of the project, it is fine to have few members. But if they will start implementing their objectives, I think they need more staffs to accommodate their clients.

1131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the chances BTC is actually overtaken by another crypto? on: May 11, 2021, 11:43:50 PM

I do not believe that a time will come when bitcoin will be overtaken by another cryptocurrencies.  Considering the many factors that contributes to the success of bitcoin as the number one cryptocurrency, you'd realise that no other cryptocurrencies comes close.
If you'd talk in terms of price, bitcoin tops the list. The second cryptocurrency is Ethereum and it just surpassed the $4k mark unlike bitcoin that has a ATH of $63k.
Secondly, talking about adoption, bitcoin has gain widespread adoption more than any other cryptocurrency. This is partially due to the fact that it is the first cryptocurrency and partially due to the fact that quite a lot of top companies are adopting it.
I also think like you. Hardly any cryptocurrency can surpass Bitcoin. This has not happened so far. Currently, the cryptocurrency market has a lot of investment coins that are all profitable. It was previously predicted that ETH will surpass Bitcoin but so far this has not happened.

Bitcoin may have shortcomings like expensive fees and transaction times, but at the moment, they way it is positioned in the market, would be hard to replace. The popularity alone is hard to topple with. But we are always open to the scenario that someday, a better one will come. But for the moment and the next coming years, I don't think another coin will replace bitcoin in its position.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Want Tesla To Accept Doge? on: May 11, 2021, 11:12:03 PM
It's a two outlet for him. Dogecoin which he's a whale of and Tesla which is his company. Whether he'd be accepting it with Dogecoin or not, it will still remain as one of the main centers of why he's doing things like this. First he said about SpaceX and Doge to the moon.
Next is this, so that he's getting the attention that he's setting not only for Doge but to Tesla too. It's not an actual flex but very well versed in marketing.

Anyway, it is a win-win situation for crypto market and for his company. The poll has high percentage of saying yes to doge. Which will really cement the use case of payment method of doge in Musk's companies alone. SpaceX and TESLA, both accepting doge. Now, that's epic! Aside from bitcoin, doge beats all the other high-end technology alts in their payment system.  Tongue
1133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much can you predict this sh*t?! Or is it pure gamble? on: May 11, 2021, 04:35:34 PM
it is hard to say that in trading it is not 100% that all of your prediction is accurate but if you know how to analyze and reading candlestick you have high percentage in gaining income.yes you gamble in that coin but it is part of trading, not all the time you are gaining sometimes you lose and it is normal for traders and investors.

You nailed it. Even if you have you TA or know to analyze and read the market chart this will not guarantee a 100% outcome because sometimes there are few sudden factors that could affect the movement of a particular coin. But with the help of analysis, it mitigates the risk of losing your trades. It would be only a gamble if we trade without taking any analysis. Loss is just normal, it is part of trading, not all the time you will have a fruitful outcome and you should know it.

TA knowledge is not sufficient in crypto market, it may help you understand what's going on but when it comes to specific alts, they behave differently and you need to consider some factors like development progress, capability of the dev team, community support, trading volume and others. And also, if you are following a specific project, you need to subscribe their social media channels because you will get a hint on what may possibly happen because they will give some insights on what's going on. I found out that most projects here are more active in socmed than in their respective ANN threads.
1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: May 10, 2021, 11:30:18 PM
The new GOLD token smart contract was created. 0x851E13B3cdCaEc6FB3ae446dAd82E112ABaA827c

This is the information we all waited for with fingers crossed, so happy to see that the contract is ready, well done Digital Gold team.

We can clearly see that things are pushed forward and hopefully soon we will be able to use GOLD token again.

I hope that GOLD token will recover from this situation better, stronger and with even more community support.

PS
GOLD token supporters, please BUMP the thread, share the news! Let people know that GOLD token is almost back!

Did the hacker get something from them? Just learned that their contract was attacked but don't know the extent of the trouble hackers gave to them.  This is one of the few authentic gold-back projects so I hope everything is ok from their end.
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Value Defi Project hacked | $11 Million dollars lost on: May 10, 2021, 09:12:19 PM
That is sad. I hope responsible person will be able to compensate the investors' losses.
i wonder if hacking can happen like this, why not employ the best hands to tighten your security from people like them. there must have been a loophole that they used. much care needs to be taken as this hacking is now becoming rampants.
No matter how good developer is, there is always someone who can beat him out. Also, most of the recent hacking incidents have been caused by the users themselves.

Also, don't exclude the possibility of inside job in these DeFi hacks. If these hackers can easily find the loophole in their system, then, maybe, someone is supplying them some info. And some of these DeFi platforms, I think, are not trustworthy. They can stage a hack to avoid payment to their investors and later on, abandon their platform. Who knows? So better trust your hard-earned money to a reliable platform. And that is hard to find.

edit : we have the same notion here.  Grin

Lots of exploits are done in the past few weeks, moreover it seems to be an insider job as it's exploited for the second time. BTW, team don't look like a good one as one person already point out out that co-founder of value defi is a paid actress who just hired to be acted like a spokesperson for this project. It's better for all to stick with the best and well audited yield farming projects with those funds which we can afford to lose.
1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Tells His Mother Dogecoin Is Her Mother's Day Gift on: May 09, 2021, 11:13:06 PM
I think the SNL show was positive for dogecoin with Elon musk making of promise of gift with dogecoin to the mum on mother's Day. I have watched dogecoin drop to 0.43 in the last 24 hours for the show but it is beginning to rise back and I believe that's because of the promise made that investors are buying to hodl.

I've always liked doge and think it's actually more useful as a currency than bitcoin is in so far as transaction fees are low and confirmation times are fast

This is like another Elon musk pumping dogecoin lol. But really those are the good spots for dogecoin, it has a fast speed and delivery.

And if I may add, SpaceX just announced that they will accept doge as payment for lunar mission next year - https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/spacex-accepts-dogecoin-payment-launch-lunar-mission-next-year-2021-05-09/ . So this may be another booster deal for doge and it may help in recovering its price or better yet, surpass the previous ATH of $0.73.
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 🚀 [ANN] Casper | Avalanche based Cryptocurrency on: May 09, 2021, 09:28:55 PM
why there is no site link or social media link about casper in your thread mate ?
does this casper same with this one https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/casper ?
thanks

It seems a different project as the OP has no further details and no activity after posting. Whereas, the CSPR from CMC, they have website and other links provided. And they are also actively trading. However, what I noticed in 2 exchanges is that they have 2 very different pricing?

1138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading base on market sessions on: May 09, 2021, 08:27:22 PM
You need more convincing evidence to prove that the Bitcoin price may be affected by the different trading sessions based on the countries, or it has a link with the traditional markets.
Bitcoin prices come from the price movement in the traditional 24-hour platforms or OTC markets, in which fluctuations are made based on supply, demand and liquidity movement, both of which are not specific to an accurate time basis.

There may be a correlation between increasing trading pairs on the platform based on time and individual activity, but trading bots make it possible to trade 24 hours.

This is what also I am wondering here, because in crypto, everyone is free to trade 24/7 unlike in the traditional market. So how can the OP correlate those sessions in crypto market? Does he have any basis about those best times to trade, or he is just basing it from the traditional market? I believe it is harder to make a conclusion when it comes to crypto market as it is moving 24/7.
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Etho Protocol - ETHO | POW | Masternode | ethoFS/IPFS on: May 08, 2021, 11:57:25 PM
Hello everyone !

We are realigning some of our communication strategies and will begin to utilize Medium much more in the coming weeks to talk about progress, team expansion, strategic partnerships, etc as there is going to be increasingly more to communicate with the community beyond Discord and Telegram.

Please follow our new official Medium:
https://ethoprotocol.medium.com/

The first post is a little humorous and humanizing look at some of our team members as I know many of the newer community members haven’t had a chance to speak to or get to know any of us.

https://ethoprotocol.medium.com/meet-the-developers-behind-the-etho-protocol-ce1f93eccbef

Enjoy!

Aside from the medium, if you can also post some snippets of updates here in the forum so your thread will still be active from time to time. It is better to see some updates from the team themselves because it will re-assure that you are still working on your project. Not many people can always check your medium or discord or telegram. But here, forum users would be happy to see that your project is still in progress. Also, any other exchange in your pipeline?
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Coin On PANCAKESWAP on: May 08, 2021, 11:47:26 PM
PANCAKESWAP is a fairly new crypto exchange. Many new cryptocurrencies are introduced there everyday.

Are you any scam coins on this site? Anybody faced any scam coins there before?

I don't know if it is just easy to create this contract in the BSC Network but there are so many of this scam address which is created most of the time when there is a hype project and a lot of people are just waiting to get in finding the contract address.

They will also spam this address in the telegram or discord of that project to scam someone uses this contract. I guess it's kinda normal so everyone just needs to be careful with this and make sure to invest in the right address and at the same time do every research before investing.

Just don't take anything from strangers, just make sure it came from the right sources before jumping right into it.

We should expect that this will be another playing ground of these scammers. Now that BSC network is getting popular, scammers will always find a way how to create fake tokens under this platform. If you are going to transact in pancakeswap, make sure that the address is the official one of the project. Don't just type the name of the token because that's not a very safe to do, it is much secure if you will paste the contract address itself.
