11201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Markets crashing down, Want to know why? on: September 24, 2019, 04:34:57 PM
When I saw the topic title I knew it had to be you again.

While it's pretty pointless to argue with your points over and over again from thread to thread, I'll address this instead:

Time to cut the Bullshit and go start a real business or get a real job.
I completely agree. While I think that people can still make a lot of money by holding bitcoin and while I'm extremely bullish in the long-term, it's not guaranteed. Getting a job or starting a business and holding a responsible amount of bitcoin in contrast to your net worth is the way to go. Just so you have something to fall on if ever bitcoin goes bust in the end for whatever reason.

"as we know he is very positive in crypto" - Any more information on this? Besides the fact na ung PAC token e tinatake advantage lang(as far as I know) ang publicity at kasikatan ni Manny para mas sumikat project nila?
More on hype lang yun AFAIK and besides hindi naman yata talaga siya ang may-ari or CEO of that project.

Pretty much. Pag hindi nakapangalan ung project kay Manny, hindi siguro natin pinag uusapan to ngayon, and yes I don't think may kinalaman si Manny masyado sa project mismo besides publicity(counter arguments are welcome). Alisin mo ung pangalan ni Manny sa PAC project at tignan niyo ung website nung PAC token, pretty much just another unnecessary coin/token.
11203  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Digital asset act of 2019] umuusad na sa Senado on: September 24, 2019, 09:18:11 AM
This would be nice if Manny Pacquioa is included in the group of senators that will discuss on crypto as we know he is very positive in crypto.

"as we know he is very positive in crypto" - Any more information on this? Besides the fact na ung PAC token e tinatake advantage lang(as far as I know) ang publicity at kasikatan ni Manny para mas sumikat project nila?

by offering cloud mining services we're able to generate high traffic which increases mining speed so we can work more efficiently to each our targets and by doing so we offer profits to investors in return.[/i]
He also has a certificate of Certified Blockchain Expert.

Sounds like a load of bullshit. Easily easily a scam. Probably the last place where entrepreneurs would look for investors would be via Instagram dms lol.

He has quite a lot of followers and the Instagram profile is quite old.

You can buy fake followers online as well as old accounts.
11205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Facebook misleading people about Libra fake coin. on: September 24, 2019, 03:28:00 AM
I think it should be mandatory for Facebook to check the ads manually before they get listed and displayed to users. And if the ad contains any harmful content (like scam / malware or similar) the ad should be rejected. If a scam advertisement of their own coin isn't noticed how easy could it be for other scammers to place obvious scam ads and users will get scammed? It's quite concerning.

That's just the same like if Theymos wouldn't check the displayed ads here and an advertisement of "official Bitcointalk coin" would pop up...

I'm not going to defend Facebook here, but there are just so much ad proposals that it would take so much manpower to manually check the ads one by one. They're most probably going to need to hire hundreds and thousands of people if they'd go the manual route. Even though they could definitely afford it, I definitely don't think they'd do it. It's quite inaccurate to compare Bitcointalk, a niche forum(though still big), to pretty much the rank #4 website globally(via Alexa), and the biggest social media site today.
11206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best way to announce a new blockchain technology? on: September 24, 2019, 03:21:52 AM
What do you think "Is it right to announce the blockchain project right away? or better to post pre-announcement first before the main thread?

Just do the main announcement straight-off, with all the necessary information. It's pointless to make spammy pre-announcements unless you're working for Tron's Justin Sun and you're project is just all hype and no use-case.
11207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best way to announce a new blockchain technology? on: September 23, 2019, 04:18:18 PM
You simply post a short topic/article concerning the project you're in, what their goal is, what they're fixing, what the solution is, why blockchain technology fixies it(if it actually does), who the investors are, those stuff that should be already available on the project's website(assuming you have one). Just make sure to be very honest on the information. Don't say stupid and scammy stuff like "invest in our IEO and you'll be rich" and something like that.

Add links to the project's website and social media, a few pictures here and there to make the topic look great, and you're good to go.
11208  Other / Meta / Re: Should a post be deleted from poor grammar? on: September 23, 2019, 03:44:54 PM
Your "friend's" post getting deleted is a lot less likely due to his/her grammar, but most probably because of his/her posts being redundant or unconstructive(or scammy and or spammy). If his/her post was really deleted due to bad grammar, then his/her grammar should be really really bad and incomprehensible for it to be deleted. I'm guessing that that's not the case though, I've seen numerous posts in the past where the grammar was really bad(though comprehensible enough), and the mods/admins didn't delete it.
11209  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Bakkt's]Now live (ICE) on: September 23, 2019, 02:56:19 PM
May mga baguhan na umiiyak o nagagagalit nanaman dahil sa inverse effect ng Bakkt launching sa merkado. Inaasahan ko na magiging less volatile na si bitcoin ngayong mas marami ng "market mover" ang papasok.

While increased market liquidity can cause the markets to have less volatility, hindi parin ito guaranteed. Especially as kabubukas lang ng Bakkt, malamang sa malamang e kokonti palang ang gumagamit kaya wag agad tayo mag expect ng instant less volatility agad. And also, while magiging helpful ito sa long term in terms of liquidity, wag nating kakalimutan na pwedeng pwede na magkaroon parin ng price manipulators dito.
11210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Facebook misleading people about Libra fake coin. on: September 23, 2019, 02:32:26 PM
It's really amazing that a project that may not even be realized already causes so much confusion, and that someone is actually buying fake Libra coins which do not exist at all. I know the vast majority of people who are interested in the cryptocurrency have only profit in mind, but at least one needs to be informed about the basics before investment.

If and by any chance this coin ever become reality, it will be stable coin pegged with fiat currency, so what is the point of buying such coin? This is just a waste of time and money for ordinary users and supporting of new centralized currency.

That's actually what's most mind boggling. Assuming people actually got scammed by this(very possible), they're pretty much "investing" in a stablecoin. It just shows how right now, even though it's already freakin Q3 of 2019, there still is so much dumb money; which I thought in 2017 that people would've learned by now.

I wanted to check what the scam's sales pitch is due to curiosity, but fortunately the scam site is down already.
11211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Facebook misleading people about Libra fake coin. on: September 23, 2019, 12:40:32 PM
So when someone report a post it should review by human. But wondering why that ads still appearing on Facebook. I know during approve ads there is something automated system and they might not detect scam. But since someone already report it should down immediately. Otherwise really it would mislead peoples who are not aware about their original website.

It will most likely be manually checked yes, but it can also take hours. There are just so much scam Facebook ads and ads with sensitive images(sexual, gore, etc) being reported that it will take time for their employees to get to this specific one. Meanwhile, a lot of legitimate ads are being declined for some reason(I'm in a few marketing communities).
11212  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Facebook misleading people about Libra fake coin. on: September 23, 2019, 03:52:47 AM
I thought maybe Facebook was advertising itself! Because i knew for a long time that Facebook doesn't accept crypto ads.
The facebook won't accept crypto ads right?. Maybe the facebook itself made the ads or may be there's someone else who pay facebook to advertise these said fake coin. It's either of the two that facebook is behind or a person/a group of people who are agaisnt the cryptocurrency might do it. If there is. I don't know how these ads are advertised by facebook.

As far as I remember Facebook allowed crypto ads quite some time ago, it's just that they're requiring documents to prove legitimacy of the business.

Also, let's not forget that Facebook doesn't have people that manually approve ads one by one. There are SO MUCH advertisers on Facebook, hence they simply use software to approve/decline the ads. Advertisers could simply not include terms like "crypto", "bitcoin", "blockchain", etc, on their ads, and to simply just label it mostly in the finance category to get past the filter. These ads mostly doesn't take long to get removed though, if enough people report it or if Facebook quickly detected it.
11213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt has traded only 7 BTC so far on: September 23, 2019, 03:47:22 AM
Not sure how it works, but do new future exchanges mostly have high volume at their first day? And take note that this is a bitcoin futures exchange, not your typical futures exchange. People will still be skeptical of bitcoin as per usual. I'm guessing that this will be a slow and steady increase in the long term, as people(hopefully) learn more about bitcoin.

I'm still optimistic that Bakkt is a great move by ICE, because I don't think the owner is someone who just yolo opens businesses without deeply thinking about it and having researchers to see if there is actually potential demand. Just my 2 satoshis.
11214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: September 23, 2019, 03:33:33 AM
Though buying and selling bitcoin anonymously through some ATMs that doesn't require KYC and doesn't have CCTV cameras is great though.
Can you actually buy bitcoin anonymously at any of these ATMs?  How is that possible aside from feeding the machine cash?  I didn't think any of these things operated that way, but then again I've never used one.  I don't even know where the nearest one is to me.

I really have no idea, because I don't have first-hand experience either. Though I've read a multiple times on social media and on Reddit r/bitcoin that some ATMs really doesn't have CCTV cameras, and doesn't really require identification unless you're buying selling a bigger amount(probably $200? just my guess). This is most likely outside of the US though.
11215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: September 22, 2019, 04:29:13 PM
It does makes you wonder who is the target audience?

I really don't know for sure, but probably those people who aren't willing to expose their identities by using exchanges that requires KYC? And probably those who doesn't know that exchanges like Coinbase exists. Just my guess though. I've always thought bitcoin ATMs would die out because of the price premiums, but more are actually appearing in various places; meaning that there's actual demand there, which definitely surprised me a lot.
11216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: September 22, 2019, 03:42:15 PM
I wouldn't. The price premiums for ATMs are just too much for my taste. Though buying and selling bitcoin anonymously through some ATMs that doesn't require KYC and doesn't have CCTV cameras is great though.

As for adoption, probably a bit? At the least the ATMs make people curious on what bitcoin is, and it gives bitcoin more legitimacy. Though it probably might not help a lot in terms of adoption, it still helps I guess.
11217  Other / Meta / Re: Sorry BitcoinFX, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on: September 22, 2019, 11:57:28 AM
Though I don't think you deserve a ban assuming you really didn't mass email people, if you deserve the ban or not hugely depends on how much messages you've sent probably? (I'm one of the people you've pmed by the way, thanks)

I guess 30 days ain't that bad, but that's definitely annoying if you post quite frequently.
11218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bakkt Launch will impact Bitcoin price? on: September 22, 2019, 10:26:59 AM
I just wonder what the influence of Bakkt will be on Bitcoin
and it seems like it won't be positive

but because of my lack of knowledge, I ask here the community

It could be either. In the end, it all comes down to supply and demand as per usual. And if you're going to the "manipulation" route, it could also go either way. Remember, the "whales" can manipulate the prices(to a certain extent) both in an upward trend or in a downward trend.

And again, all that matters is that there will be increased market liquidity.
11219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s Price Dump As Bakkt Launches? on: September 22, 2019, 08:30:21 AM
What dump? The small dip from around $10,200 to $9,900? We call these dumps now?

While there's no surefire way to know what caused that "dump" that you're saying, it's very likely just due to the typical volatile nature of bitcoin. You've been registered since 2017; the price swings shouldn't be new to you already.

But I do wonder if Bakkt had and will have influence over the bitcoin price
Of course it will have, no matter how big or how small. We just don't know if it would be in a positive or negative manner in terms of price. But in the end, increased market liquidity is always great.

Yo. You still need some BTC? I need $100 via PayPal.
