11221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Sports Betting Prediction Thread on: November 21, 2016, 06:50:49 AM
It's CL week again but I usually don't bet on them as I don't really know what's going on with the other domestic leagues and tend to stick with the EPL.  But this week I found a bet thanks to a newbie for putting it in my attention by posting about it in the CL/Europa League thread.

My bet for this week's matches is Monaco to win +0 at 1.83 vs Tottenham.  The Spurs have a good squad but they haven't been playing as well as expected lately, they are also playing Monaco away so that's another minus for them in this match.  With those odds at +0, it's a bet I'm willing to make.

Yes I know they won vs Westham last weekend, but I'm still not convinced about their form if it's getting better or not.  Maybe it is, but we'll see...

Chelsea won again today, it's awesome. After their lost against arsenal, they won three game, than one lost against west ham and after that today still third won. Chelsea dominated match but despite this, matches final result was 0:1.

At first it seems that they are having trouble to score goals so I wasnt really expected that they coud score goal in the first half. The second half was quite different from the first half, they were more calm and wait for a good opportunity to score although they couldnt score either in the game

When players get back from international duty, take into account that they are still tired from all the playing and the travel back to their clubs.  So it wasn't really surprising that some clubs were not scoring a lot of goals that was expected of them.  The perfect example was Liverpool.  Take into account the nationalities of the players who had international duties and how far they traveled.

Indeed however it is the coach responsibility to see wether his player is fit for the game or not. There is almost no point for the coach to force the player that isnt fit to play as he might ruin the whole strategy. It is just silly if the reason for their bad performance is because of the international duties

Do you seriously think that?  I mean seriously.  Let's take the Liverpool example.  Coutinho and Firmino are both Brazilians, take into account how tired they are from play and travel in their international duties.  How many miles did they travel, how tough were their opponents, etc...  The same with Mane and the other key players.  So now are you suggesting that Klopp not play these players?  That would even be riskier for them.

WAVES/BTC:  I'm out for now.

I've been meaning to get a post about Waves the minute this sell down happened because it hit my stoploss at .00045, .00046 and .00047 BTC, but Cryptrader was down and the moment it went up a day later, I got lazy.  Tongue

Anyway, yeah, I'm out of Waves but there's one thing that perplexes me.  Where is the volume spike?  It would tend to make me think that the whales that got this pumping in the first place are still holding.  But that's a big maybe.  Let's see what developments come up in the coming weeks.
11225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Short-selling Altcoins? on: November 21, 2016, 05:51:12 AM
Kraken is also a good option for shorting altcoins.  I personally do short sells only on Poloniex and Kraken and it's what I would advice newbies to use.  Kraken allows you to short ETC and REP which are not available for short selling at Poloniex.  The only think which I don't like with Kraken is the platform is hard to understand.  I hope they make it easier for the sake of their users.

Mayweather is a good boxer and one of the best ever to have played in the sport but he's beginning to be a joke now.  He's surely doing this to gain publicity and hustle McGregor out of his money.  And I think McGregor knows this, hence the 100 million USD asking price to fight Mayweather.

Carles, I would like to pick your brain when you make bets on the NBA.  Can you give us your thought process on why you made the bet and why you think it's good?  We could talk via PM if you're not comfortable discussing your picks in public.  Thanks.
11228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: November 20, 2016, 03:58:09 AM
My favorites to win the Champions league this year are Bayern Munich and Manchester City. I like Borussia Dortmund as well but I am not sure if they have a deep enough squad to play well both in the Cl and the Bundesliga. However Juventus and PSG could always be a nice surprise in this tournament and I wouldn't write them off the list of possible finalists, too. The reign of Spanish clubs has to end sooner or later, right?  Grin
Yeah the Spanish teams reign would end, but not in short time imo. I guess in next 5 seasons, there will always be at least one Spanish team in semifinal stage even final match.
I hope that the dominance of the Spanish League team in the Champions League will end. semi-final match will be more exciting and thrilling if filled in by each large team of Serie A, Premier League, Spanish League and French League.

I don't mind it.  As long as Real and Barca are dominant forces they have every right to reach the semis every year.  This would be a good thing for the other clubs in Europe because they would have to challenge them for that dominance.  Real and Barca have set the bar up in all of football, it's for the other clubs' job to reach and try to surpass it.
11229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 20, 2016, 03:53:42 AM
I was a little surprised that no goals were scored between Southampton and Liverpool. I went with both teams to score as Liverpool have been scoring a lot of goals this season and I thought Southampton who have been good at home also score a goal but that wasn't the case. I'm just glad Man City won and are back on terms with Liverpool but I think Chelsea will be on top after tonight's match with Middlesbrough.
I also think so, I feel that Chelsea will be Premier League champions this season. their games are now much different than the start of the season, a game they continue to show progress to keep the rivalry with Liverpool and Manchester City

That's a possibility but I won't be holding my breath for that to happen until the January transfer window is done.  I think Pep will acquire more players to power the City squad up for the second half of this season's campaign.  I think Liverpool would also be dipping their toes in the transfer window too.
11230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Soccer Transfer Market 2016/2017 ! on: November 19, 2016, 02:56:27 PM
do not underestimate rumour because it is very likely to be true and i'm pretty sure that between all those rumour above me there will be at least one who became true and i was found the new one currently if Alexis Sanchez leaving Arsenal on January and might be Arsenal will buy Marco Reus from Dortmund as the replacement and some people believe that he would went to England this winter

Now that's not ever happening knowing how stingy Wenger is during transfer windows.  And I don't think Dortmund is willing to let go of him just yet.  At least not this January, so if a club is truly interested in him, then they should pay for a premium to get his services.  I'm almost 100% sure Wenger will not sign him because of the steep price tag.

Some produce better posts than others if you noticed and imho, the better posters deserve better pay.  No offense but I think it's only fair.  And if you're ok with 100 maximum posts per month then that's up to you.  I personally would want to apply for a 150 post maximum limit if Betcoin reconsiders.
11232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 19, 2016, 02:30:00 PM
Manchester vs Arsenal it will be interesting match today
my predict both teams to scores is the best choice. Good luck guys.

I may disagree with you but it seems you're definitely correct in this case.  I didn't check but I would guess that the bet offered quite more value?  I think 0 - 0 was the more likely outcome imho.  But what do I know...  Cheesy

Is this campaign full?  I'm planning to transfer to a new campaign after I finish my long stint at Betcoin's campaign.  I was wondering if I'm qualified.  If so then I'll apply if there are spots still available at the end of the month or so.  Thanks.

Hi everyone, we want to announce an important change of rules which will come into force from the beginning of the next stage. Change are the minimum and maximum post limit. From the fourteenth stage minimum post limit change from 50 to 30 and maximum post limit change from 150 to 100.

We are  full but recruitment continues. New candidates can get a chance to join the queue and get a chance to receive stage bonus if meets our requirements. Thank you.

Stage 13:
2016-10-29 00:01 Forum time   -  2016-11-27 23:59 Forum Time

From Stage 14 policy change:
Maximum: 100 constructive posts per month
Minimum: 30 constructive posts per month

I beg you to reconsider.  Maybe allow only a number of campaigners to get a maximum of 150 posts a month?  If you reconsider, I would want to be one of them, please.

Link to the Ramsey to Real rumor?  I find that hard to believe as I agree with erwin.  They have better options out there and there's no need to acquire more players in that position unless Real want to splash the cash and use the players as bargaining chips in future transfer windows.

it seems it is not just a rumour because if you do some simple check then you could see that the news is everywhere. They want to put him up with gareth bale together just like the old time. Not sure what is going on perhaps they have another agenda or they have researched that he had alot of fans in madrid

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/nov/18/football-transfer-rumour-mill-aaron-ramsey-real-madrid

Ah so it's not confirmed yet.  That still makes it a rumor.  Until the news comes out from the BBC, I will take that with a gain of salt.  The BBC tends to release transfer news only if it's a ready confirmed by the clubs and the player or the player's agent involved in the transfer.
11236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 19, 2016, 01:27:28 PM

Derby game with a lot yellow cards if you ask me. Without Ibrahimovic i dont wanna bet on ML, for me this will be tight hame with draw results and both side are happy. Avoid this match and bet on cards Smiley Good luck to all!

But then again there's an argument that if Rashford was the striker it could also benefit United.  Ibrahimovic hasn't been making goals lately and it really falls short of that is expected of him.  This is a good opportunity to test other Rashford out there and see what he can do since he's more effective in the striker role.

Are you sure Ibra has not been making goals lately? So who was scoring two goals (the 2nd and 3rd goal) on their last game against Swansea? He is starting to find his real killer instinct back, but too bad he cant play today. It is certainly a disadvantage for MU, no doubt. Rashford is still not showing his magic this season, MU should not rely on him to score goals.

And before the Swansea game, have you seen Ibra more out of form?  Not to my knowledge.  If you watch that game vs Swansea you'd notice that they allowed United to score vs them.  It wasn't because United was playing really well.  There was no pressing from Swansea's side, I don't mean not enough pressing, they were not trying at all.  Go watch that game again.
11237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 19, 2016, 01:23:02 PM
No Mhikitryan and Bastian Schweinsteiger again. Wayne Rooney sitting on the bench, that is abig surprise to me. Good to see Rashford starting in the centre forward role, he is the one that destroy Arsenal last season. Tied game for sure, maybe a 0-0 draw or favor on Arsenal. Wenger could break his bad record against Mourinho and Manchester United.  Arsenal +0.5 @ 1.57

If you really have been following the EPL then no, it wouldn't be a big surprise.  In fact it's quite expected actually.  Rooney has been out of form since the preseason friendlies and what he needs is a new environment.  It would be both better for him and United of he leaves with mutual consent.

Anyway, I can't watch the game live, how is it?  Is United parking the bus?  I could imagine Rashford being isolated up front with no one linking up to him.  Cheesy
11238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 99: Mousasi vs. Hall 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: November 19, 2016, 06:26:43 AM
It would be better to see Mousasi climb the ladder again and challenge Jacare.  That's gonna be a better fight as there's history between the two.  The last time they fought, Mousasi lost, so it would be good to see him try to get that loss back and be a real contender at MW.
11239  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? on: November 19, 2016, 05:05:25 AM
I often see that people prefer skill-based gambling such as poker or sportsbook because they think it's more profitable than trading.
But, people say that sports can be manipulated by mafia/casino for their own good.

So, which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? I think both of them have same risks because both of them could be manipulated, unexpected things could happen and many more.

It depends on your style of trading or gambling.  Looser and more aggressive gamblers have higher risk but tend to have bigger pay days than average.  But it also depends how good they are in playing that style and how disciplined they are during bad runs.  The same can also be said about trading.  So a good answer would be 'it depends'.
