thanks for the info mate , so market makers basically throw some parlays as they want right ? like I'm forced to bet Exactly what they are offering if I understood right ?
if that's the case I guess you kinda have close to zero chance finding the parlay that you actually want to bet , haven't seen them before and as you said there are none now so still have no idea regarding that

Yeah, it's basically probably the same few people making the parlays, they're fixed, usually ML bets on big games, so you have to take their picks at the odds they offer. Also you can search "parlay" or "multi" depending on how the market creator named them!

Alternatively, you make your own preferred parlay and offer it at odds better than you can find on Pinnacle... and then hope someone takes it or goes against it.

Create market: https://fairlay.com/market/new/ I actually don't really know the settings well enough to risk my btc haha but I think there are a few good guidelines. And then you advertise your parlay in the trollbox like some do, this one was today: https://fairlay.com/market/nfl-saturday-11-jan-2020-parlays/?referral=848f9827-9f32-42a7-9d56-51292aabbce3

Hey guys! Rarely check in here but facing some issues with sportsbook since yesterday. When I go to check My Bets, I can't see any of the past settled bets. Yesterday, it was empty and only after I placed a bet could I see the entry. Today, I can still see yesterday's and today's, but still nothing from the past. How do I access as I actually wanted to view the settled bets from the days before.

And also an old issue, recurring every now and then, hope one day you fix it:
- betslips take minutes to appear on MY Bet. If there's a way to also fix the betslip ID in recent history (under the box where you place actual bets), that would help greatly. It does appear for 1 second when betslip confirms but copying it requires lightning reflexes haha.
11243  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitrogenSports Limiting Big Time on: January 10, 2020, 09:29:29 AM
As SyG and leea say, go for Fairlay. You have absolutely no limits there, but it's a betting marketplace. You take all the offers you want (max price is listed) and if you want to go for more, just place the order. It'll stay there until someone takes it (your bets are matched) or til they expire.

Really need more market makers there too as lines are limited.

P.S. @SyGambler there are some parlays there, DarkStar actually gave me the tip. Search for "acca" and a small list will sometimes show up. Pretty limited of course, like now there's just nothing. Tends to be on big champions league nights.
11244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: January 10, 2020, 08:15:27 AM
Looking at your slip it looks unreal that it can get you 86BTC, I have played about six draws and have a potential of "only" 14BTC. I guess that Norwich win you chose over United really helped the odds Smiley

Good luck to all of you guys, if I can't get the prize I hope at least it will be few of you from the forum and not some anonymous.

Good luck to you too, my friend! My very first 15-multi for this challenge actually racked up even bigger, 800++ BTC, also from a 10/1 United win over City (and guess what, that happened!). I'm really hoping to see someone from here win too, I don't think anyone ever has. I tied top once, as did swogerino, but we both made the mistake of making 2 bets (only 1st one counts!).

Hoping for another round of underdogs. But really, is Norwich beating United such an upset?Wink
11245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going beyond $14,000 before May, history repeating itself on: January 10, 2020, 06:28:42 AM
History repeating itself is probably inaccurate. You're talking about a cycle repeating here but you're only using 2 past instances -- which is the bare minimum to establish any sort of cyclical pattern.

I've no doubt halving, along with every other aspect of Bitcoin's design -- difficulty adjustment, fixed supply, fee structure, among others -- will all contribute to a gradual increase in valuation. Halving's just part of this scarcity and deflationary model.
11246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: January 09, 2020, 08:07:28 PM
Pretty fair, tbh. The only reason why companies bought the broadcasting rights of the Super Cup was because RM and Barca attract the most viewership, with that in mind, they should get paid accordingly.

Fair's fair for sure, but Valencia were still the cup winners, you needed them still to come and play otherwise you have no tourney! But I guess Valverde saying very wryly that they're there for the money probably paints a picture of them coming to show up and yet still feeling some distaste in their mouths.

Anyway, halftime nil-nil but dominated by Barca. Not watching, just seeing the stats. A lot of chances hope Atleti strike back when Blaugrana eventually tire as they seem to in second halves.

Edit. Hot damn. 1st minute goal from Koke woo woo, my parlay looking special. Was that like a goal 10 seconds after he came on or what? Didn't even need to wait for tired legs haha. Let's see if this holds.
11247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction backlogs on: January 09, 2020, 05:12:19 PM
There's always a transaction "backlog". And seriously, 15k in the mempool? That's nowhere near what I'd call congestion. It'll clear up in a day if not hours, depending on how much else comes in.

Probably a bit due to the price rally these few days, but probably just a culmination of coincidences.

@aviks: going by your theory, since we're seeing an ATH hash rate, shouldn't we be seeing an ATH mempool size? Not sure that article you shared was very helpful at all.
11248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: January 09, 2020, 03:58:52 PM
Plus they are playing in Saudi Arabia, that makes absolutely no sense at all, does anyone know why that one is?

Big boss at Barca just answered your question a few hours ago:
"We are in Saudi Arabia because of money, says Barcelona boss Valverde."

It's a huge, huge joke for me. Still can't believe it happened. But it did.

I should have known Valencia would have played like shit too, didn't know till I read the article that they only earned 2M from it while the other participants earned a lot more (six million for Barcelona and Real Madrid, and three million for Atletico Madrid).

Fact, now I feel a bit silly betting earlier on Atleti (I bet on Valencia haha). Now one Atletico fanclub says they only sold 50 tix haha damn.
11249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: January 09, 2020, 03:39:20 PM
Sup guys, I think I forgot to put my picks in here before but I did really shitty anyway. It was another round of no underdog wins. Boo.

Here's my pick. Watford to win again, I like Bournemouth a lot but Wilson looks like he needs some kind of vitamin and H Wilson can't keep running like that without finishers. Inter of course, Napoli crappola. Going for a shock Roma.

Fiorentina - SPAL
Bournemouth - Watford
Roma - Juventus
Villa - City
Cagliari - AC Milan
Cardiff VS Swansea
Central Coast Mariners - Melbourne Victory
Chelsea - Burnley
Palace - Arsenal
Bordeaux - Lyon
Inter Milan - Atalanta
Utd - Norwich
PSG - Monaco
Lazio - Napoli
Sheffield Utd VS West Ham

So there we go. Only 2 draws at Blades and at Cardiff.

86 BTC if I win woohoo!

Valencia did end up surprising everyone, but not in the manner I had hoped for. Crazy how disjointed teams look after winter break, and then in cup games too. Leicester even had to labour for the draw. Please let it be Leicester and United through to the finals =p You want another winner's medal, don't you Vardy?

My first bet in a long time against Barca (no need to ask when the last time was haha cough Anfield)

Game 1: Barcelona-Atletico Madrid. Atleti WIN @4.08. Sportsbet odds: 3.91
Game 2: Torino-Genoa. Torino WIN @1.63. Sportsbet odds: 1.60

So the mystery of FamLFC is solved... with an equally mystifying name of BitcoinGirl Club. I don't believe I've noticed your nick before strangely enough but a belated hello to the pool. And no, the pool is still all-male, guys. First rule of Bitcoin/Forum/Internet =p Sorry for the accurate sexism!

@hilarious: my dream is a Sunday 5v5 of bitcointalk footie bois on neutral ground. It's so awesome in my head.

@Brainboss: Fully deserved, Mane. I have 2 parlays with all legs already won, now ending with the Spurs game, so I'm really looking forward! Which part of that huge continent you from?
11252  Economy / Speculation / Re: $9k next week on: January 09, 2020, 10:47:57 AM
Price looks like it's behaving as it should be. Any time it goes up 15% or more in such a short burst, it's got to come down a bit. Hangover today and possibly tomorrow, but if the bulls like the weekends again, then we should be seeing a renewed push for $8500 even on Sat/Sunday.

Definitely on track for 9k next week, but that's where it gets messy for me. No man's land of super thin orderbooks. A flight to 10k won't mean much in that case!
11253  Economy / Speculation / Re: At Which Percentage Profit Would You Sell Your Bitcoin? on: January 08, 2020, 08:45:31 PM
Maybe I shouldn't answer as am a sort of holder. I say sort of because I'm forced to sell as bitcoin is 100% of my income, so what I save I hold, and I do still sell some to store as fiat savings. Call me a pragmatist despite my deep, deep love for Bitcoin, I still have and will presumably always have mouths to feed, mouths who can't afford for the Bitcoin experiment to fail.

But my % is more like 2 sets of targets. One is a far-off date, and another is a fantasy price target. If the former one comes first, I'll need to decide how much to sell and enjoy in a latter stage of life, and how much to pass on as inheritance. If the latter comes first, it'll need to still fit my rough estimate of how much it would take for all those dear to me to retire and live out their lives with comfort and without worry.

I know it's a shitty answer but too late for me not to reply;)
11254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: The Social Phenomenon on: January 08, 2020, 07:16:24 PM
Something to chew on right in the middle of the week. I do share many of the sentiments, but definitely not all. And there is enough variety of sentiment in the post for many like and unlike me to choose from, yet as you say, we are all here on common ground called Bitcoin.

1. Not everyone wants Bitcoin though.
2. Not everyone who has gone against it or attacked it hates Bitcoin. Those who profess hatred like those unnamed forkcoiners still have enough sense to actually have Bitcoin. Those I know who've built alternatives or chosen alternative don't hate it at all, and in fact feel like they owe it to themselves to leave, but continue to wish Bitcoin well. I know how that feels like so I can understand.
3. As much as it pays us to protect Bitcoin, it goes without saying it pays others threatened by Bitcoin to protect their way of life too =)
11255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 08, 2020, 02:33:57 PM
Any kind of performance tonight will be twice the entertainment United provided last night, but I wonder if Villa is a good bet. City and Leicester will for sure get CL spots. Villa's only hope for European football might pip them over the line?

@hilarious -- Hell yeah that looks spot on. I'm not sure if that's the exact same thing, but the concept's definitely the same: you basically feel very numb, but a HOT numbness instead of cold, so it seems to erase the pain. We call it minyak merah (literally red oil) locally, but I never found out what it contained except probably menthol or eucalyptus.

11256  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-06] Mike Novogratz Expects a Bullish Period for Bitcoin and Gold on: January 08, 2020, 01:13:05 PM
Gold I can always buy the argument. But Bitcoin, I'm still very doubtful that it soars along with gold, as I've always been in the past. Already this week, we see the striking correlation in the rise of the US dollar ALONG with Bitcoin, which rather contradicts quite a bit some of the talk about what's bad for the dollar's good for Bitcoin.

Again, that's never a case for causation, I personally think the dollar's obvious rally thanks to events in the Middle East has very little to do with Bitcoin's rise, nothing more than a coincidence.

I got this so wrong. City, as expected, coasted through, but MK Dons were 3-0 down at half time and just never found a way back. Reims did progress, but they needed penalties to decide the tie.

My simple parlay today, Leicester to win the first leg (and please, progress cause only you got a hope of defeating City at the final). And then a Valencia upset to pour water on Real Madrid.

Game 1: Leicester vs Villa. Leicester WIN @1.75. Betcoin odds: 1.78
Game 2: Valencia vs Real Madrid. Valencia WIN @4.10. Betcoin odds: 3.95

11258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trump's iran War Pump in BTC Price. Will it last? Poll. on: January 08, 2020, 10:12:16 AM
Not got a clue meself, but hey, since when has that ever stopped anyone from ever having an opinion, right?

Me, I don't see a single correlation here. If anything, US going to war with one of the world's oldest civilisations (and a nuclear power, at that), is got to be bad for global stability, bad for global economy, and as I've constantly said before, this can't be good for Bitcoin.

People keep saying falling economies and falling dollar etc means bigger Bitcoin but when people are hungry, desperate and without jobs, they don't buy bitcoin. They buy food.

US dollar rising, bitcoin rising too, btw. Doesn't make sense if we use those theories so there.
11259  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: January 08, 2020, 07:37:11 AM
On one hand, seeing United well and truly knocked off their perch is delicious pleasure. I mean, Liverpool have also plumbed depths of despair but at least we somehow managed to finish 5th and still win Champions League, and we still lit the league up with Suarez and Torres even in the days when we finished outside CL places (I know I sound annoying, but hey, it's true, we still entertained when we fell terribly).

On the other hand, I don't want City to win the league cup or anything at all, so hopefully Vardy and Co make it past Villa and then show Pep who's the boss.

Eh, what am I talking about, of course I love seeing United fall. Seeing them flop with an expensive squad? Even better. Thinking of all that debt  they're racking up with salaries. Love it.
11260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Blockchain Classroom] Lesson 17:Blockchain transfers are actually charged by by on: January 07, 2020, 05:18:33 PM
years ago, miners employed a node policy for "priority transactions". if certain conditions were met, you didn't have to pay a fee at all:

Quote
A transaction was safe to send without fees if these conditions were met:
-It is smaller than 1,000 bytes.
-All outputs are 0.01 BTC or larger.
-Its priority is large enough (priority = sum(input_value_in_base_units * input_age)/size_in_bytes)

as blocks began filling up, miners removed the node policy because they wanted to collect fees instead.

Thanks! I actually do recall now in 2016, even blockchain.info explorer, you'd be looking at "high priority" and low even, but I seem to remember that these were either categorised by the age of the coins (or coin days was it now?) so that seems to fit that input age condition.

I hadn't realised at the time that size of input and value of output were also part of the conditions. I do remember being able to send 0-fee txs. Entered late, but early enough to see that era end!
