11341  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-01-29] McDonald’s might start accepting Bitcoin soon on: January 29, 2015, 09:18:21 PM
I will definitely buy myself a huge load of hamburgers if this is the case  Cheesy

As much as I would like it to happen, I think it will not.
11342  Economy / Speculation / Re: $35 or $3,500 within 24 months? on: January 29, 2015, 09:11:36 PM
$35
Temporarily going under $100 is possible, but going under $50 doesn't seem too likely.

$3,500?
A juicy target for the next big high is ~$3,400 to $4,000, but getting over $3,000 will be a stretch.

How about both?
Given the history of extremes with BTC prices, it is possible we will see both $35 and $3,500 within ~36 to 48 months.
The future will be amazing!

Which is more likely for Bitcoin prices within 24 months:
$35 or $3,500?

I think it won't even go below $100 to be honest as people will throw in so much fiat money to buy around that price level. At least I would.

That doesn't mean we won't test new lows, but all this is just speculation.

Let the Bitcoin price first go through the $1000 level before speculating about +$3000.
11343  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of BTC... is there one? on: January 29, 2015, 09:04:47 PM
It's all about demand.

If the outside economy thinks there is place for Bitcoin to function as optional payment method, then it will stay.

At some point if there is not enough demand it will slowly fade away. That's with everything in life.
11344  Economy / Speculation / Re: $100 to $125 still possible? on: January 29, 2015, 02:25:02 PM
Didn't you see how much volume there was at 155? I don't think anyone will let that level breaks for others to take cheaper coins than that... too many fat hands at sub 200.

People have been saying that exact same thing for the past year, just sub in different numbers.  No one thought it could break 500, then 400, then 300, then 200, now 100.  I wouldn't be surprised if we see double digits (if only for a day or few hours).  Interest just isn't there, and lots of people who have been burned are out now.

i dont know how you can say the interest is not there ,the infrastructure is expanding almost daily and the supply of coins will decrease over time
you got your eft ,block halving, regulated exchanges and maybe mcdonalds coming soon
its true some people who got goxxed will jump off the train but thats a small % and many more will get on to replace them

Some times I really think it would have been better if we never had Bitcoin above $1000 in 2013.

At that point Bitcoin realistically wasn't even worth $200 but it peaked at over $1100....

We're now much further and enjoy more adoption of merchants than ever before.

Bitcoin believers, including myself, can look through this, but the normal non tech people can't, they see this as a major step back.

It would have been a very healthy situation if we in 2015 would hit an ATH in the range of $400-$500.
11345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are merchants not serious about the advantages of Bitcoin? on: January 29, 2015, 02:11:17 PM
merchants are getting onboard, consumers are the problem.

Bitcoin is still seen as invesment rather than something you pay with by the majority.

The only case Bitcoin is being actively used by people is with gambling.

Stable price would contribute to the spending habits of people.

If Joe buys 1BTC for $450 and a month later 1BTC is worth $200 then of course Joe will not spend his Bitcoin.
11346  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin UP and DOWN continues on: January 29, 2015, 01:57:11 PM
It's a free market, that's the beauty of Bitcoin.

If people think Bitcoin is worth $500 then it's worth $500.

If people think Bitcoin is worth $150 then it's worth $150.

WE decide the price. If the time is right and people are willing to pay extra for their coins then it will go up automatically.
11347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Not another is Bitcoin dead question?? BUT... on: January 29, 2015, 01:53:54 PM
You should focus on Bitcoin instead of thinking about Bitcoin alternatives.

Each year when Bitcoin seems to go down by a lot people are losing faith.

If the price is going up by a lot people change into ultra Bitcoin believers.

I understand people want to make a few bucks, nothing wrong with that, but at least stop thinking Bitcoin will die if the price goes down.
11348  Economy / Speculation / Re: And the crash continues on: January 28, 2015, 08:59:48 PM
Traders are securing their profits.

It's a normal reaction, it went up from under $160 to over $300...
11349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good way to save your bitcoin and not impulse-spend it on: January 28, 2015, 08:50:41 PM
Send the BTCs to a paper wallet, and try to don't use them.

Uhh...

Wasn't the point of Bitcoin that people will use it to buy stuff with it?

Advising people to not use their coins is just nonsense.
11350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quick Noob Question ? on: January 28, 2015, 03:04:30 PM
1BTC = 1BTC, the USD value doesn't matter.

That's the only right explanation.

Some people still think when you buy 1BTC for $500 and next week price is $400 that they lost "a lot" money.
11351  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices test $260 figures but $300 predicted for end of week ! on: January 28, 2015, 02:53:00 PM
I am a TOP financial Bitcoin market expert.

Bitcoin price can go either up or down. A better prediction is just not possible  Wink
11352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taylor Swift Twitter and Instagram Hacked: Private Photos For !Bitcoin! on: January 28, 2015, 02:48:24 PM
It's quite easy for some one with photoshop experience to make certain pictures look like they are really from a certain celebrity.

And if they are real, then what.... lol, have you guys never seen naked girls?

Galaxy Note 4 is a fantastic device.

If I didn't already have a phone I would definitely go for the Note 4.
11354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stamp volume down on: January 28, 2015, 02:29:29 PM
stamp is annoying with all verification things and they neglect the security of the site.

Why would anyone want to use it?

When there is little to no verification people aren't happy.

When there is a high level of verification it is still not right according to the same people.

I am a happy Bitstamp customer for some years now regardless of how annoying their verification system is.
11355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who got burnt today! on: January 28, 2015, 01:44:21 PM
With todays countdown, I quickly bought 1 bitcoin 10 minutes before it ended for £202. 30 minutes later the fooking price dropped and I lost £30.

Lesson learnt  Grin

What lesson did you exactly learn?

Don't sell and you don't lose anything. If you sell and then after that see the price goes up you will be a double loser  Cheesy
11356  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or stockmarket? on: January 28, 2015, 01:35:02 PM
I prefer Bitcoin as long term investment.

I used to invest in stocks quite a bit some years back, but now only when certain stocks are real cheap.
11357  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 796 lost 1,000 bitcoin on: January 28, 2015, 01:05:06 PM
I've never know the existen of 796.com until today , I was lucky :/.  An hack attack  Huh

Hack attack, Basically it is. Someone hacked the system and changed the withdrawal address of the customers.

But then.... How does the hacker know the person who he switched his cashout address with has so many coins in his account?

A know what is an hack attack  Cheesy , my [Huh] it was for the security of the various sites/exchanges .

Huh? What does that mean  Cheesy

well after all the rubbish disaster that gox and bitstamp created, people will surely look for the third alternative, and it's not btc-e apparently

btc-e lost player cuz they dont want to involve some coin that they asked on chat so apparently people like to have more coin to trade.

BTC-E is a more than decent exchange.

I like them because they don't add shitcoins just to make a few extra bucks.

Site admin have stated to not add any altcoin because they are insta/pre-mined.

Instead, they are delisting TRC, FTC, XPM... Says enough.

Glad they are delisting those coins, first ive heard of it. BTC-e is a good exchange but they have added and delisted many shit coins since i've been trader there for about 2 years.  Remember china coin? lol

ChinaCoin was a real flop  Cheesy  They clearly have learned their lesson.

The only altcoin that generates decent volume for BTC-e is Litecoin.

Curious to see when they finally get rid of NovaCoin.
11360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Actual Bitcoin 2.0 - Would You Buy It? on: January 28, 2015, 12:39:38 PM
I support Bitcoin and nothing else.

Anything other than that is nothing more than a shitty altcoin/clonecoin.
