11361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Winklevii will become one of great capitalist barons of this century! on: January 27, 2015, 01:52:42 PM
400 billion means $20,000 per Bitcoin , I highly doubt that it can be truth, We can hardly keep it above $1,000,not even $300.

WallStreet money can move mountains  Wink

But 400bn market cap is beyond delusional. People are expecting too much from Bitcoin.

It will never replace fiat, some can't seem to understand that. Bitcoin will only function as optional payment method.
11362  Economy / Speculation / Re: the emerging volume on Kraken on: January 27, 2015, 01:45:34 PM
well after all the rubbish disaster that gox and bitstamp created, people will surely look for the third alternative, and it's not btc-e apparently

btc-e lost player cuz they dont want to involve some coin that they asked on chat so apparently people like to have more coin to trade.

BTC-E is a more than decent exchange.

I like them because they don't add shitcoins just to make a few extra bucks.

Site admin have stated to not add any altcoin because they are insta/pre-mined.

Instead, they are delisting TRC, FTC, XPM... Says enough.
11363  Economy / Economics / Re: Are dumps partitioned? on: January 27, 2015, 01:30:30 PM
Some times a dump can be spreaded if the buy side of the orderbook isn't strong enough.

But most of the whale dumpers just dump it in one go.
11364  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to retire on $100,000 on: January 27, 2015, 01:26:02 PM
100K won't do much here in Western Europe where you need at least €2500 to pay for rent, bills, buy food, etc.

It will help you get through a few years, but that's it if your costs are as written above.
11365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is everyone so quiet? on: January 27, 2015, 01:14:29 PM
Better quiet than being over-excited for nothing.

At this point there isn't anything new that is worth getting excited for.
11366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In case you missed the coinbase countdown on: January 26, 2015, 02:30:30 PM
It reacted poorly to the to the moon animation? I suppose it was a bit cheesy, for something that must be professionally done.

It's just another exchange with a few extra's. The lay-out looks amazing, though.

I guess people expected something spectacular to happen  Cheesy
11367  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 9AM New York time! First U.S. exchange is finally here, ready for the moon? on: January 26, 2015, 02:04:04 PM
And now? What is going to happen beside people dumping their coins?
11368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back in on: January 26, 2015, 02:01:55 PM
With the price going back up, I wonder how many of the people who screamed "I'M OUT!" And sold at $200 are buying back in?

They probably sold their coins below $200 and bought back in at a much higher level  Cheesy

Why? Because they are back in and again believe Bitcoin is THE BIG thing.
11369  Other / Meta / Re: Effect of no BTCtalk on: January 26, 2015, 01:54:09 PM
I wouldn't really mind, but I'll miss the free Bitcoins I get with signature campaigns.

There are plenty of things to focus on in life Smiley
11370  Economy / Economics / Re: EUR might drop below USD on: January 26, 2015, 01:37:45 PM
JP Morgan stated if Greece decide to leave the Euro then EUR value will lose another $0.10 against the USD.

Currently 1EUR = 1.123USD which is already crazy low.

It might actually be 1:1 at some point. I hope it will not as European citizen.
11371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to reach $260 by the end of the day ! on: January 25, 2015, 03:01:47 PM
#tothemoon  Grin
indeed we are at 251 atm so the coinbase announcement is working its magic somehow

To me it sounds more like a fantasy announcement.

Whales know better, only people that might get excited by this news are dreamers.
11372  Other / Off-topic / Re: Glad this name is not taken on: January 25, 2015, 02:41:16 PM
Woah! Can't believe that this name is not taken! This forum have been up for years! No one registered with this username. I'm not new to Bitcoin and.. dont advertise me faucet! I hate faucet! Spend one hour working in real life and you can get more than what faucet give you! Anyway, how much would this account worth? Just for the name? - lol was joking, not gonna sell this account.

Your account is worth negative value -1.0589954 BTC

You owe theymos that amount. Good luck with paying back.
11373  Economy / Speculation / Re: +$240.. on: January 25, 2015, 02:28:42 PM
lucky for those who have bout around $170 before. Lets hope this is not just a pump

It's now nearly $100 higher than the lowest point some days ago.

Chances are high at this point to see some sort of a correction.

But hey, with Bitcoin you never know.
11374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it really THAT bad right now? on: January 25, 2015, 02:22:58 PM
Remember the pattern? Just check the charts from 10th May, 2014 to 11th June, 2014... The same pattern is going on currently, what do you think?

Will it still be bad now?

You can find a lot of similarities with many months if you want to. It's hard to realize what will happen with such a short time fram of comparison.
And you can also compare this to the SilkRoad crash, which had very high volume and led to happier times Smiley

The price is high and everyone is crazy, the price is low and everyone is depressed; sentiments unrelated to fundamentals!

It's always funny to see how quick people can change the way they see Bitcoin. Such people are here for the profit.

Those who believe in Bitcoin don't panic or change their mind with a lower or higher price.
11375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Would Make People Gain Much More Interest in Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2015, 02:17:27 PM
Stability is the key.

I am happy and I'm sure others too when we have only 1 global exchange thus 1 orderbook.
11376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short now = make lots of money? on: January 25, 2015, 02:10:52 PM
Why are people so harsh on those who sell...

It's their decision if they sell, it's a free market, remember?

Perhaps they bought at $175 and they sell at $245.... Do that x20BTC and calculate your profit.
11377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do people running full nodes gain anything? on: January 24, 2015, 02:59:49 PM
I am running full node, am proud that I am contributing my tiny bit to Bitcoin.  It is not as slow if your Bitcoin is running daily.

May I ask how you run it? On your pc or vps?

I think I will leave my Bitcoin Core wallet open for as long as my pc is open, just to help.
11378  Economy / Economics / Re: Is crypto as a financial investment doomed? on: January 24, 2015, 02:46:50 PM
There's no need for more than one cryptocurrency, and Bitcoin won that race.
Or, speculate on some shitcoin knowing it will go to zero and try to rip off as many bitcoin as you can from those get rich quick people. But you have to like this game. I prefer the first.

Such people are gamblers.

They are more willing to invest their hard earned cash into something that will lose 99% of its value.

Investing in Bitcoin for them is not an option as they want quick profit.

11380  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Decentralized exchange Bitsquare crowdfunding campain now live! on: January 24, 2015, 02:37:21 PM
Very interesting project, it will take a lot effort from devs and people around it to make it a success.

Once I have a bit more free time I will thoroughly review the whitepaper.

Is there some sort of a ticker somewhere to see how much there is collected?
