11361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: July 29, 2016, 09:06:54 AM
Fast if merchants accept zero confirmation and slow if merchants don't accept zero confirmation, especially if they ask at least 3-6 confirmation.
But, for purchases something which is expensive, wait for a confirmation isn't problem.

I agree. And also I think it's ridiculous to wait until 1 conformation when purchasing inexpensive goods, but unfortunately many sellers think otherwise.
11362  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 29, 2016, 08:26:55 AM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

I have no doubt that in 10 years Bitcoin will rise more in USD than gold will. In fact, gold might even fall a bit, which hardly will happen to Bitcoin. But I know of course that it's easy to say when you actually have no wealth and thus you will not be at risk of losing it anyway.
11363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling is Fun? on: July 29, 2016, 08:20:24 AM
Why everyone is using the Word of Fun for only gambling, if gambling is a game, so all games are interesting and entertainment, not funny, Gambling is not a drama or play, it is a real and mind blowing game.
For me, nothing is funny in gambling.
What do you think of FUN in gambling?

I disagree with you. For me gambling is fun indeed. I never play with big money, so when I lose I lose not much, and it's fun to win a dollar or two, or lose a dollar or two and talk about it in chat on the site.
11364  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 28, 2016, 08:43:02 AM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

Online investing is a very risky thing. Sometimes you think you are investing in a solid thing but in reality they just take your money from you. Same applies to the real life investments too. So it's really hard to say what is better.

If you want my advice, here it is: buy things you need, travel, help those who are close to you - that's the best investment.
11365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Starting Bitcoin based Casino on: July 28, 2016, 08:37:04 AM
I think you can do at least two things to attract people to a new online casino:

1. Make lower house edge than on other similar sites.

2. Launch a good Signature campaign here on bitcointalk to promote your site.

Also it's important that withdrawls and deposits work fast on your site, and that your site stays online 24/7.

Good luck! I hope you'll make a great site.
11366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People hate Bitcoins? on: July 28, 2016, 08:22:19 AM
Do you think that people hate bitcoins why?
Are you hate bitcoins or like it.........
But my answer is I LIKE BITCOIN.

There are a lot of reasons, at least some people think they are reasons, why people hate Bitcoin. One of the main reasons is Bitcoin's volatility, but it's not only Bitcoin among all currencies who is volatile. Anothter reason is Bitcoin's connection to criminal activity, but again which world currency is not connected to it?

So IMO all those "reasons" are artificial and Bitcoin shouldn't be hated at all.
11367  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you accept bitcoin as your salary? on: July 27, 2016, 01:38:14 PM
Some people here are saying that Bitcoin is not accepted everywhere so it's impossible to accept it as a salary, but I don't understand this. Can't you just exchange your coins on whatever currency you want and then spend it? I think it's not that complicated so I would accept Bitcoin as my salary with pleasure.
11368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do any people gamble under the age of 18? on: July 26, 2016, 08:44:38 AM
Well, I guess a lot of people who do gamble online with the age below 18 years. I feel for them it is a matter of course they do. in my place, even children who are 15 years old are already learning to play gambling games facebook, I think once they're hooked, they will start looking for the actual gambling

Yeah, that's too bad children start being addicted to gambling, but on the other hand they might become tired of it when they are still children and don't have much money to lose and then they will not gamble when they are adults. I'm saying this bacause I know such examples. I hope children are smart nowadays and they will do exactly this, they will quit gambling for good before it's too late.
11369  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to sell? Or to buy? on: July 26, 2016, 08:32:44 AM
Maybe just wait was the prices are really stable. Wait until bitcoin falls than you should buy. No need buying now as you won't make much if any profit. I suspect that bitcoin might fall in a week or 2.

Well, we'll see about that. I think that buying when Bitcoin is under $650 would be a wise decision because in a month or two it will stabilize at around $700.
11370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, who actually MAKES MONEY with Bitcoin? on: July 26, 2016, 08:22:49 AM
...

I had often wondered about a couple of things, but it was only just now that my question has gelled into a concrete thought:

Who actually makes money here in Bitcoinistan?

-- It does not look like HODLers do (at least since BTC price went from the $700s when I started then to $200, now $650)...
-- The "Cloud Miners" sure as hell don't (except for the scams that take money from investors)...
-- I would *guess* that mining pools, and probably most miners w/ equipment do not...
-- *Maybe* electricity vendors (ex. China), warehouse landlords, etc. might?
-- Exchanges?
-- Hard wallet (Trezor, Ledger) manufacturers?
-- Gambling sites would seem to probably NOT make money (most anyway), too easy for talented programmers to set up one...
-- Mining equipment makers (Bitmain, Bitfury)?

The only outfit that I have read about that DOES seem to make lots of money would be these guys (their service works great!)

Is it true that gamling sites are so unprotected? I know some of them were robbed but most of them are functioning and making profit, no?

I absolutely agree with you on "Cloud Miners" though.
11371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is VOYA coin and why this rising? on: July 26, 2016, 08:05:01 AM
Guys, thanks for the answers! I'm totally new to this trading thing but I'm considering to go in deeper into it.

So, is it possible, when some team is pumping their worthless coin, to make some profit selling it at a big price? Has anyone had this experience?
11372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is VOYA coin and why this rising? on: July 25, 2016, 06:52:19 PM
I mean 700% rising in price in the last 24 hrs. Can anybody cast light on the subject?
11373  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WHAT CAN I DO WITH 0.1 BTC ?? on: July 25, 2016, 12:42:17 PM
invest in crypto jacks

It's interesting to me why are you saying so. CJ is down more than 50% since your post, so do you still think it's worth investing?

Investing in all those altcoins is too risky IMO, so OP you better just hold your 0.1 and try to make more of BTC.
11374  Economy / Gambling / Re: is freebitco.in or freedogeco.in worth my time? on: July 25, 2016, 10:11:56 AM
I recently called against a user playing there and earning while gambling the coins he earns.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1564368.0;topicseen

They said its okay to play there even if the faucet is small and the house edge is sky rocketing. Are they right?

Those sites used to be pretty good more than a year ago but definitely not now. I stopped using them around 6-8 months ago because the award was significantly lowered and also I've noticed that you never get anything except the lowest award possible.
11375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving event: expectation vs. reality on: July 25, 2016, 10:06:06 AM
Curious about how the price will behave in the next months.

I think the price will trade between $600 and $800 in the next few months, then it will rise to $900.

Looks like a good prediction to me especially the first part. I don't know about $900 in the future because it depends on how many new people will be introduced to Bitcoin, so the price might be much higher I think and this will not be a bubble.
11376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just hit $465 on: July 25, 2016, 09:13:23 AM
yes bitcoin rise up its price too much faster to 1300$ in the end of 2016 and i thing bitcoin will hit its price to $2000 to $3000 in the end of 2017 .

I don't know about the exact numbers but what I know is that Bitcoin price is rising because the demand is rising. And the demand is rising because there were a lot of press coverage do to halving lately and hence more people have become interested in Bitcoin. So maybe you are even right on that numbers.
11377  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Can I offer the use of my electricity? on: July 25, 2016, 08:57:41 AM
Thats really cheap electricity so i think your city might not be a big city means not very technologicaly progressed so i doubt you will get a good internet connection which works continuously without disconnecting. If it does then u can try this.
He's in Canada, so he shouldn't have any issues with connectivity. It seems that most ISPs in Canada are fairly reliable, even the poor ones.

OP, I'm going to assume that from your username, you're located in Banff. If you're located inside of the park, your options are probably fairly limited as to how much hardware you can host. I doubt you'll be allowed to build a warehouse to host mining gear inside of the park, but that's probably higher scale than you're planning on going.

If you plan to host a few miners out of your home or business, I think people would definitely be interested in 4 cents per kWhr power rates so you may have some people take you up on miner hosting services. The main problem with that plan is that you're a Newbie on the website with no previous trade history. Most people won't be willing to send you mining gear worth thousands of dollars for the promise of cheap hosting services as there would be nothing stopping you from running off with their hardware.

That's what I thought too. Not saying that I suspect OP is unfair, but he/she is most likely inexperienced so they need not only the mining gear but an experienced operator also.

That's been said, I really hope OP will find a way to use the cheap electricity for mining.
11378  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 25, 2016, 08:32:21 AM
When investing you are risking a lot and you might end up having nothing. But it's also not so easy to just save your money - they might be stolen or they might lose their value. So think twice before making a decision. I think it's better to just save.
11379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe that win in gambling is depending on your luck ? on: July 25, 2016, 08:14:13 AM
Yes, absolutely I do. I'm wondering why there is around 15% of the voters who think otherwise. I'm asking those 15%: Guys, do you really think that can win in gamble applying some "knowledge" or following a "strategy"? C'mon guys, stop thinking like that because that's exactly the way of thinking of a gambling addict.

NOTE: Saying "guys" I don't mean males only, because  it's perfectly appropriate to call a group of girls "guys" nowadays.
11380  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: July 25, 2016, 08:03:47 AM
First of, I think that's really good that we can buy a lot with 10 BTC now. In fact we can buy a lot with 5 BTC and we can just hold the rest. That's exactly what I would do btw.
