11381  Economy / Speculation / Re: weekend dumps? on: January 24, 2015, 02:21:58 PM
What is the reasoning for weekends usually dumping coins?

Maybe people looking to cashout and spend it on weekend holidays Tongue

Doesn't make sense as it takes at least a few working days to get money back from an exchange.

Currently there is not really a weekend dump as the price has had a few beatings already.
11382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Prediction 2015 ฿ on: January 24, 2015, 02:18:47 PM
I never expected the price to fall this deep, but I still support my earlier predictions of having Bitcoin around $400-$500 level this year.
11383  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much wall street money will be pouring into bitcoin now? on: January 23, 2015, 03:11:37 PM
Bringing bitcoin manipulation to a much larger audience  Tongue

Everything with value and option to trade is being manipulated for hundreds of years.

Nothing will change, that's how everything works in an economy.

I only hope at one day we will have a stable price without large swings.
11384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyday Bitcoin transactions. Show others who accepts BTC in your areas on: January 23, 2015, 03:05:35 PM
Too bad, most people in my country don't know what is bitcoin Sad
And in my country, our central bank already warned not to use bitcoin as currency

So, i just use my bitcoin to buy mobile charge, video games & steam wallet only Sad

At this point a very tiny percentage of people know what Bitcoin is and even a smaller percentage uses or have/had Bitcoins.

There is soo much potential, you could educate people by setting up meetings in your country, etc.

Ignorance is an important reason for Banks and merchants not willing to work with Bitcoin.

Today Barcelona - Atletico Madrid.

I hope Atletico will use its strength today, that's the only way they can win.

Should be a good match. Think Atletico may be able to manage a draw.

Great defending from Atletico!

Only downside was the referee for rewarding Barcelona a cheap penalty.

I hope Atletico at home will learn Barca a good lesson.
11386  Economy / Economics / Re: Who control our bitcoins? WE do!! ☆ BANK RUN ☆ on: January 23, 2015, 02:53:30 PM
Only a fool would have more than 10% of they're crypto on an exchange.  You should assume at any moment you'll lose all of it.

So in your words, whales are fools for having millions worth of value on exchanges...

But you don't mind if they pump Bitcoin 20% higher, right?

Figure out how they achieve that without having much funds on exchanges.

I was blaming my 3G connection while being outside, but the error wasn't on my side  Cheesy

Good to have it back.
11388  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] bitcoin.my on: January 23, 2015, 02:45:16 PM
Highest offer right now is 1BTC.

I'll be ready to sell the domain right now for 5BTC.
5BTC ? On this forum? In what world are you living in?
Someone will buy it for 5BTC if he needs it rather than keeping it as a real estate. You wont get immediate buyers at that rate.

The domain itself is worth easily $1000 but currently with the low Bitcoin price buyers are very rare.

I'm sure if Bitcoin was ~$600 then it will be an easy decision for potential buyers.
11389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Apple paid $3.2billion for Beats on: January 21, 2015, 04:13:55 PM
With monthly conferences and daily VC investments, is the entire money base of the Bitcoin economy seriously worth less than what Apple paid for some headphones?

It has value for Apple, so from their perspective it was a good move.

But answering your question: Yes, Bitcoin marketcap is worth less, and especially if you consider what the potential is of Bitcoin.... Sad fact.

Just a question i would like to ask having a bitcoin wallet on my iPhone how safe are these... safer than leaving them on a computer wallet? If so doesn't anyone recommend any bitcoin apps

It depends...

Coins are never 100% save, but you just need to make sure you download legit wallet apps.

BlockChain wallet for ios is the best one on ios so far.

And don't use your wallet when you're using public wifi.
11392  Economy / Economics / Re: COINBASE JUST DUMP 75MIL INTO BITCOIN on: January 21, 2015, 01:05:22 PM
Not sure if OP is trolling or not...

But it's not an investment in Bitcoin.....

Instead of reading titles only, you should also read the whole article.....
11393  Economy / Speculation / Re: 152$ was the bottom? (July 2013 comparison) on: January 21, 2015, 12:56:44 PM
There's certainly much more upside than downside at this point!

How do you know that...

I heard that also when Bitcoin was $500 $400 $300

When it dipped below $300 people said "Look at the difficulty! It's up by 14% so Bitcoin will for sure go above $300 anytime soon"

Instead, it dipped below $200 not long after that.

11395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook on: January 21, 2015, 12:41:16 PM
If you referring to total users, it's still a long way
But, if you referring to total market cap, it's already happen

Total market cap of what. Bitcoin and Facebook in USD?

Facebook currently +- 210B Bitcoin currently +- 2.9B

So what exactly is already happening?
11396  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] bitcoin.my on: January 21, 2015, 12:37:27 PM
Interested in it but do you need to provide any residential information in order to own this domain?
11397  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Holding Steady on: January 21, 2015, 12:28:28 PM
It was also considered "stable" when price was bouncing between $300-$400 not so long ago.

After that the price went down to below $160. Stable doesn't mean anything in current market.

11398  Other / Off-topic / Re: General Football Discussion on: January 20, 2015, 02:51:57 PM
Today Liverpool - Chelsea, will be a great match.

Liverpool has had a few good matches, let's see how they do against FC Costa.
11399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2015 The Year Bitcoin Rebooted on: January 20, 2015, 02:45:07 PM
Every one keeps talking about good times...

As long as you can't convice the majority of non tech/average joe's people to accept and use Bitcoin it will only be used by a small amount of people.

Ask non tech people what they know about Bitcoin... They say hacks, theft, exchange owner runs with 600K btc, hidden drug markets, etc.
11400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else anticipating the next drop any day now? on: January 20, 2015, 02:35:55 PM
I didn't had any fiat left after buying plenty of coins around $170

I am currently waiting for my new fiat deposit to post, then I'm ready for a new drop.
