Personally, I think they're doing a great job over there at Western Governor's University. They're one of the only fully nationally and regionally accredited online colleges that offer cheap tuition and experience based credits* (terms may have changed since I last researched them).
they're the #1 participant in the Student Loan Bubble you know. Oh I'm sure they love student loans (any for-profit company would), but I'm pretty sure it's Phoenix that's #1 (and already found guilty of fraud, changed names, skirted regulations, paid off senators, etc as a result). Sorry for bringing it off-topic, was this about BFL or the blog posts? who's BFL? Butterfly Labs really? i thought it meant Big F*ckin Lie? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) actually, i'm being facetious. i think the odds of them being a scam are close to zero. them being in Kansas and advertising to such a large community as Zerohedge which involves all sorts of financial types with big money to litigate if necessary.

I haven't been around for a while, but I think I heard something last year about a company that made some mining equipment but then moved into the fan business because it was more profitable. Is that them? well, of course it's about them. point being, if they are going to start advertising on Zerohedge, that means CONSTANT exposure to their readers. which will only be a good thing.

Why does the narrator sound like he is about to laugh the entire time? I guess the times that he actually is laughing don't count. Kind of annoying. Also does not get to the point very quickly.
i disagree. the joviality makes Bitcoin less intimidating.

@franky: That's exactly what we were going for, something that would be informative enough to get past the "what is it?" point and help users get the most out of Bitcoin. Glad you like it, and feel free to share it anywhere you want.
it's excellent. thanks.

I guess I want to say about owning bitcoin for me is that it is not my attempt to hedge against the dollar. It is simply a great idea with incredible potential. When it all comes down to it I think the best hedge against the dollar is the quality of my work output. All the rest (cash, stock, gold, bonds, silver, real estate) can betray you as it has many people in the past.
this part is really good.

You just defined exactly how an exponential process works.
>>> a = 1 >>> for i in range(1, 50): ... print a ... a = a * 1.2
Yes, clearly. My point is more that people are implicitly thinking that this is going to go the way of a typical debt/bond crises, but there's no mechanism for that in a modern fiat nation that's simply willing to print to buy it's own bonds. You don't get investors suddenly demanding higher rates (because guess who the "investor" is?), which is why the 3rd-world style sudden collapses happen. Obviously even 0.00001% inflation could not go on forever. But <10% could go on for quite some time (yeah, I know I used 20% in my extreme thought experiment - sorry). Too many people look at the debt situation and predict collapse in the next couple years (or by 2020, or what have you). My point is that this is because they're failing to realize how insidious the dynamics of QE really are. Don't get me wrong - a major restructuring must happen - but it'll probably be another couple generations. then why did all these subprime lenders along with their debt get vaporized? http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/info-subprimeloans0706-sort.htmlalong with Lehman, Merrill, Bear, Wachovia, Downey, IndyMac?
