there are many subnetworks.. and LN is not the one with the larget liquidity so its not the sole contender if you ever want to dare challenge yourself to learn about LN you will learn that it is not trustless much like people cant trust unconfirmed bitcoin transactions until settled. you shouldnt trust unsettled LN balance so LN is not trustless why do you think even the main LN devs are resorting to centralised hubs and watchtowers and factory nodes for channel creation.. stop selling the snake oil utopian dream and instead atleast try to learn what LN is and does, especially what it doesnt do Regarding your points, you are right about the trustlessness part of my earlier statement. Regarding the usage of centralised nodes and liquidity hubs, that is convenience, and nothing implied at protocol level. Of course there is space for improvement. Prediction number one made me more excited.
If bitcoin ETF is approved. After halving. The market would be for the bulls. Bitcoin price may skyrocket above $100000 before 2025.
Provided that price prediction is by far the most exciting one, I think here Bitwise has been quite cautious on the value. I think that barely beating ATH in 2024 would be fairly disappointingly low expectation. I think other predictions are more interesting. |

I don’t know how, but I missed one news over the last few days: World’s First Bitcoin Bonds Receive Regulatory Approval in El SalvadorEl Salvador’s long-planned bitcoin (BTC) bonds have inched closer to reality after apparently receiving regulatory approval for an early 2024 issuance, the country’s bitcoin-focused office posted on Tuesday. I understand that the bond characteristics have not been made available yet. However, I have seen multiple news sources reporting that the bond has a 6.5% coupon and a 10-year time frame. Probably these are the same characteristics of the then advertised Volcano bond. Personally, I find it unlikely that anyone would buy a bond at such a high price. The 10-year yield for a plain vanilla El Salvador debt is currently at 11%, so I believe that a bond with exotic features like this should have a much higher yield |

No, l'etf è comunque spot, quindi l'emittente (Grayscale o Blackrock o chi altro) acquista e possiede bitcoin fisici.
Quello che cambia è il modo in cui gli utenti (non tutti, solo quelli accreditati) potranno scambiare quote con GS/Blackrock.
Nel metodo cash lo scambio è dollari vs quote
Nel metodo in-kind è bitcoin vs quote
Proseguono le scaramucce Blackrock-SEC sul modo in cui funzionerà l'ETF:  Con il metodo cash sarebbe un etf zoppo, e il suo successo in parte ridimensionato. Certo è che questa vicenda è strana. Ovviamente il conferimento in kind è preferibile, ma obiettivamente per un investitore Trad-fi potrebbe essere un delirio operativo. Quello che non ho capito è perché non si possono prevedere entrambi, come del resto è era possibile con il GBTC. |

Bitcoin è stata la prima vera forma di investimento in cui anche il piccolo (o una grande fetta dei piccoli) ha fatto sua l'importanza di ragionare nel lungo termine.
E soprattutto ragionare con la propria testa, ignorando i "rumori", le morti annunciati, le maledizioni lanciate da banchieri e politici. I consigli degli "esperti".
Se avessimo ascoltato i media nessuno di noi sarebbe un bitcoiner oggi.
Questa è stata la vera, gigantesca, novità.
Il concetto stesso di "hodl" è nato con Bitcoin e grazie a Bitcoin, molto prima che arrivassero i pezzi grossi. Presente! Prima di entrare in questo mondo i miei investimenti, se così possiamo chiamarli, si limitavano a qualcosa fatto con la banca e, devo essere onesto, all'epoca effettivamente fruttavano qualcosa e per la mia età, la mia conoscenza quasi nulla del settore, e la cifra che davano ero pure abbastanza contento. La scoperta di bitcoin poi ti porta uno tsunami di conoscenze che è perfino difficile immaginare all'inizio, per me è stato veramente una cosa del tipo "dimentica tutto quel poco che sapevi e riparti da zero". E a prescindere dall'aspetto economico di bitcoin, trovo già incredibile come ti cambi totalmente l'approccio al mondo del soldi e, di conseguenza, della finanza e degli investimenti. Devo dire che la curiosità intellettuale che mi ha stimolato la lettura del whitepaper di Satoshi Nakamoto è stata senz'altro l'aspetto più dirompente di bitcoin. Mentre negli altri casi, sei soggetto "passivo", qui sei sempre coinvolto in prima persona. Attraverso il potentissimo mezzo del don't trust, verify" è un detto che ha implicazioni non solo tecniche, ma a tutto tondo sul progetto. |

Usualmente tra amici sono una persona molto espansiva e senza segreti... ma qui grazie o per colpa della privacy sono presente in veste di "exchanger zero kyc" data la mia posizione fortunata che mi permette di essere molto spesso all'estero dove vigono regole leggermente diverse che in Italia. Quindi anche perchè i nostri Clienti sono spesso amanti della privacy, va a finire che non so bene cosa dirvi! Inoltre grazie a questa "doppia personalità", sono presente su alcuni gruppi Telegram di argomento btc di in Italia come moderatore o fondatore, ma poche persone conoscono entrambe le mie "identità". Che altro dire? non sono giovanissimo, come si usa dire sono da abbastanza anni nella fase degli "anta", ma al contempo purtroppo non mi sono appassionato a btc 10 anni fa ma solo alcuni, così con quel poco che potevo sono entrato sulla giosta nel periodo "ATH" quindi per me il valore "classico" di riferimento di btc è 60K  Sono (diventato) comunque un hodler di lungo periodo anzi spero in una (tempo poco probabile) mass adoption con contemporaneo fanculamento della valuta fiat. Sempre per "lavoro" mi occupo anche di oro fisico e telecomunicazioni in privacy e altro, ma non vorrei che questa presentazione si trasformi in pubblicità. Dal punto di vista "politico" sono un libertario, come penso sicuramente ce ne siano altri qui. Penso che vi ho annoiato abbastanza! W sempre la libertà! ciao! Ciao e benvenuto. My original formula is overly simplified, and I was just taking the average of all three of the reinvestment success probability projections and I used that average number of 41.67%..
Actually, if you look at the formulas in my Google Sheets, you see that I take the average as well. It looks to me the first difference between our sheets is in cell X89, in your spreadsheet. My value computation is pretty simple: BTC previous period-Rake BTC previous period+Rake BTC previous period*Reinvestment success avg OR 10-2+2*0,4167 I might have misunderstood some of your explanations if I cannot reconcile the first step in your spreadsheet. It does seem more accurate to use each of the increments rather than the average, so I am o.k going with that, if that might be what might resolve the differences in our numbers.
I don't know what is accurate; these just work Hypotheses, once we agree o. those, we can start figuring out the rest. |

Credo che in questa iniziativa Giacomo Zucco sia solo consulente, ma non c'entri granchè. Advisor vuol dire che non è socio, non ha scritto il codice, non ha messo l'idea etc. Comunque tra gli aspetti più "controversi" della vicenda c'è il fatto che la pool non minerà Ordinals. SI autolimitano le TC fees, pur di non propagare quello che secondo loro è in attacco a bitcoin. Vedremo quando Hash-rate racimoleranno nei prossimi mesi. |

la congestione della rete (un po come tutte le situazioni di stress) porta a trovare soluzioni alternative (un po come fu con segwit etc etc...)... per assurdo quello che oggi è uno svantaggio (fee troppo care), un domani sarà un vantaggio (sistemi per fare transazioni più economiche etc etc...) ed è proprio questa resilienza, capacità di adattamento, che rende questa tecnologia sempre più competitiva. nel frattempo è ovvio che i ricavi dei miners possano garantire la sostenibilità del mining solo nel momento in cui siano maggiori quelli che derivano dalle tx fee e non dalla ricompensa del blocco (più halving si avranno < saranno i guadagni dai "nuovi" bitcoin prodotti). ...In a few decades when the reward gets too small, the transaction fee will become the main compensation for [mining] nodes. I’m sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.
E' ovvio (opinione personale) che questa tecnologia è qualcosa di irripetibile nella storia dell'uomo. Ed è qui per restare. nonostante non sia necessaria imporla...(vedi pagamenti con le carte elettroniche o altre politiche calate dall'alto). Anche se molti, anche utenti del forum, sviliscono e non apprezzano questa forma di visione (bitcoin che fa? sta li fermo....) è solo questione di "tempo"... E' come aver inventato la ruota! avreste mai immaginato che avrebbero sviluppato il motomondiale GP o la formula 1? ehehehhe anche le prime ruote erano li "stavano ferme" ... in attesa del RAZZO ...  Ed è comunque incredibile come ogni volta ci si ritrovi spiazzati dall’andamento della mempool. Quando è piena e le fees sono a mille, allora ci si ingenua per risparmiare. Il punto è che ci si dovrebbe organizzare prima, quando la mempool è vuota, con mettendo liquidità su LN o altri metodi. Riguardo alle prospettive di bitcoin, davvero, abbiamo tantissime prospettive aperte, e difficilmente riusciamo a vedere sufficientemente nel futuro per capire cosa si potrà costruire su bitcoin. |

Wow somebody really hates you guys  I guess that means you're doing something right. Yep. These people are spending money or resources on DOSing BPIP instead of doing something they would enjoy. When you think about it, DOSing is a compliment. Suchmoon, in the interim you could create a static front page and refresh it every min or so. Call it the BPIP Appreciation Event! Serving a static page will push the abuse to the internet cache network, and barely affect your server. I never got this dDos thing. Is that a ransom? Is this a way for your hosting server to make you buy additional protection? Who is spending money to attack you? And why? If it had ended right now, they probably ended up losing money. So why bother? |
