Buy stuff with non existent money is illegal anywhere, as far I know

and buying inexistent stuff with inexistent money?
I wonder if there are exchanges playing any sort of tricks at the moment. Why not? Because we see their numbers on our screens?

The end game is that bitcoin takes over all value. It is the only possible outcome.

of course. Either that or we become a gambling suicidal cult. In any case we have a logical solution.  Grin

If I had to put my tinfoil hat on...for a measly $4.4Billion the establishment is slowly buying up all the Bitcoin not to make money...but to collect them all and destroy them one day.

I wear the same hat since I've seen too many large dumps out of the blue esp. in the middle of weekends making no sense from a legit trading logic (except than blatant manipulation).

We are clearly still in an accumulation/distribution phase.

more specifically in what was called 'primitive accumulation' mode (where the less ethical types call the shots -actually the most common), measured by a relatively large % of the total Tx being the result of frauds, hacks, scams, and so on -and this counting just what is publicly known. If you add reasons to suspect that critical midddlemen (exchanges, pools) could be not so honest and/or collude with anyone with little/no risk of getting caught, you have a recipe for... anything.

Still, I hodl -if not for else to stay out of the fiat-world

Dan is a software developr?

If not we could have a scamcoin by a fake developer. Time for the biggest scamcoin of the year contest. This is the most entertaining thread I've read lately -even if me too 'invested' in this -lol.

There have been many things "backed by nothing" that were highly prized and profitable -- for a while.

Like fiat money? Um, no: that is backed by the monopoly of violence. Even that works for a while.

imo, once again, this will be good for Bitcoin.  just be patient!:

I hope so, but to me they seem more positively correlated than not.

This market would surely require SEC approval.

Personally I hope that the crypto-ETFs will never take off. Or it will end like the gold and silver paper market.

Is there some problem with the pool right now?
Had high rejects on eu.wafflepool.com (Job not found errors) switched to useast and it's all good

I'm getting 49.8% rejects on scrypt from yesterday, and moving from eu. to useast. did not change anything.
 Huh

Comunque mars78 mi sa che ti conviene fare un esposto con tutto quanto, sia per pararti in caso hai ricevuto un pagamento da un truffato, e pure perche' mi pare che c'e' n'e' abbastanza per mandare al gabbio il truffatore.

Merchant verification is not a problem. Which seal would you consider reliable enough?

I don't know even what a merchant seal is.  I'd like a physical address, a name, an LLC or something as a start. Beyond that, anything you can tell about the safety of the site is welcome.
1160  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin slowly dying out? on: October 29, 2014, 09:56:02 PM
There isn't this merchant downward pressure at all. The bearwhales told this ideia and then everyone started saying this shit.

I suspect that the biggest bearwhales are the perps of the major scams here who are still free as birds. If you add up the major btc scams it's probably >1 million btc
