The sequence is IPO and in the middle of the IPO, the exchange of DosCoin and Blockade.
I'm in talks with Poloniex on that part of the trade with DosCoin
Fair enough. Perhaps help stir a little more interest in Blockade by time limiting the DosCoin exchange. Say, DosCoin holders, you only have until October 15th to convert to the new and improved Blockade, son of DosCoin, yada yada.... What do people think? Sounds brutal, but I like it!

I'll try the Poloniex way. I was recommended to them by another member. They release the funds slowly.
Okay. For those of us not familiar with "the Poloniex way" could you expound a little on that please? What is the proposed sequence of events at this time? Will the IPO be held first in toto and then all DosCoin exchanged in a single tranche transaction, is that where we are at the moment? Or have I misread the evolution of this thread? I'm afraid I need things spelled out, maybe due to living upside down as we Aussies do I'm planning to see if I could do an exchange like that where there is a separate market for DosCoin and Blockade transactions exclusively. For Poloniex, when the IPO is complete, I don't get the lump sum or the whole amount, but it is given to me in small payouts within a set amount of time like for example, 6 months or when needed. They are the escrowers who will hold the funds. The sequence is IPO and in the middle of the IPO, the exchange of DosCoin and Blockade. If I can get the IPO to start on Poloniex, I will start it tomorrow. You guys okay with that? If you are, the entire 18,000,000 IPO coins are going on there. Poloniex gives me the money in small payments and not all at once.

so if the ipo is gonna be in stages when will we ever trade,
Once we can stabilize the coin which i'm thinking will be after the first implementation, it will be up for trading. but how will you have a second ipo stage if trading starts after 1st implementation It's more of a gamble. I expect it to stabilize after people see that work is being done and improvements are being made.

I have all DOS in my wallet, tried sending some to my c-cex wallet and went into a black hole. How exactly is the DoS to CADE exchange going to happen? We've had our differences in the past, so good luck with this coin and try not to ^%$& this one up please.
I won't screw it up. I'm finding a way at the moment.

I don't think this delayed approach is going to work imo. You need to run the IPO, then do the swap. If you want to keep people from dumping then provide incentive to people that hold their coins. Be creative in how you reward your investors.
Agreed.

Limiting it to 60,000 DOS in the exchange is RIDICULOUS. Long time DOS holders have been holding, and not dumping, as we were told we would be able to exchange for CADE. WTF!!! What good are the millions of DOS some people are holding then???
Did you not read anything? I said this is for the first exchange! There are many more exchanges to come! Why should it all not be able to be exchanged initially, so that DOS can be closed fully. No reason this should be dragged on at all... The same reason the IPO isn't going to be sold off all at once; so the market won't saturate.

I was planning on either doing it manually, or setting it up somewhere like C-cex. Don't know if they limit the amount of coins though.

The first swap will occur by the end of this week.
Will you be limiting the exchange available per person or is it 1st come, 1st served? I see we have a coupla large DosCoin holders aiming to switch out at flag fall. I'm limiting the first one to 60,000 DoS or 1000 blockade per person.

do you really need 30btc for the essentials like wallet, nodes, block explorer etc
Nope. Already have those except the block explorer. The money is needed for initial implementation of the system; the beginning. There will definitely be more details and multiple whitepapers for each task.

Really should swap all dos when you start so its done and over with so you can move on.
This strategy is used to reduce dumping on exchanges. I also do not want this coin to be added to any exchange at this time.

Putting realistic real-world pricing on a project of this magnitude seems to be generating some shock in the synthetic altcoin ecosystem.
Somekindabitcoin appears to have his feet more firmly on the ground than most of the flash-trade and move to the next shiny bauble altcoin "investors".
I'll continue to hold my DosCoin and after the swap will likely hold as many Blockade as I can manage, too.
I admire the ambition and I'm impressed by the realistic budget for so ambitious an enterprise.
Good work Somekindabitcoin, you keep right on thinking and planning.
Thanks b4zz. Also, for the swap, not all coins will be released at once. Only 300,000 coins worth of a swap, and 300,000 worth of coins for phase 1 IPO for the essentials. These essentials are for the first implementation which is the function of the node itself, block explorer, and other needed starting essentials.

DOS was a great idea, and probably a decent learning experience for Somekindabitcoin, even if the execution was a taller order than he expected (mostly to do with how to program the distributed mitigation tied into a cryptocurrency).
I'll invest a minimum amount in the ICO if my understanding is correct that excess coins will be distributed proportionately amongst original investors (so, for example, I'll get double the CADE for my money if only half of the ICO amount is sold). Alternatively I'm cool if you decide to destroy all coins not sold in the ICO.
I'll also continue to accumulate DOScoin as I have been doing. I'll probably be exchanging a lot of it over to CADE, too.
Good luck with your coin.
Thanks notsofast. The reason for the initial ipo is to first get the main implementation added which is the functions for the nodes. From what I've been told from other developers, it's going to take a ton of manpower. So you want to raise 1800 BTC which is currently worth about $855,000 US dollars? It takes balls to say you need 20% more than the current biggest ICO (Syscoin with 1500BTC), but I have no problem with anyone thinking big. Somekindabitcoin is going to have to do a lot of legwork justifying it, and probably gather that total investment in stages alongside incremental development, given the rightfully distrustful mindset of smart bitcoin. But saying he needs that amount right out of the gate is proper expectation setting for investors. Imagine the positive price reaction if he completes a segment under budget and pays investors a dividend of the surplus to investors, or incorporates some kind of additional feature? To be valid players and not just cloned shitcoins, bigger thinking is mandatory-- he has a high concept and a justifiable price tag. I'll be watching closely. Man notsofast. You need to join my team.
