1141  Economy / Economics / Re: First time? A company suing because people aren't buying its products!!! on: January 02, 2024, 05:42:43 PM
Just can't stop laughing as whom will they be suing? It's like you are forcing people to buy your product to fund the massacre and commit genocide but when public refuses to buy your product you wanna sue them? How on earth did they even arrived at this conclusion that it would help them gain back the customers? BDS is working and I think this is the power of humanity wherein people from different religions and races coming together and boycotting the supporter of oppressor.
1142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start investing in Bitcoin? on: January 02, 2024, 05:31:50 PM
Can someone please guide is it a good practice to start investing in Bitcoin in this upcoming January-2024?
The only guide people will give you is to invest now because the halving is come and the bull market there after but as for me the only their I will advise you is to invest according to you income. If your income is big, then you have to divide it into 4 then use one part to invest every week or month and all depends on the salary schedule of the work. Or there is another method you can use to invest in the DCA. So these are some of the good practice to invest in Bitcoin. Always know you income before investing in Bitcoin.

Yes, DCA is one of the best method and too be honest as you mentioned we should never be carried away with the current trends and popular choice because when market is good people will ask you to invest and even if it dumps by 5% they will be the first one asking you to withdraw and if we go by everyone's suggestion we will lose everything. It's better to have a calculated approach and I have tested this personally and so far it has been one of the best year of my crypto journey.
1143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price History on: January 02, 2024, 05:22:16 PM
Definitely history is the biggest evidence what Bitcoins are capable of. I am assuming 2024 will be big for Bitcoins.

looking at the 2013 ATH ($1.2k) the 2016 halving year did not surpass $1.2k
the ATH was reached a year after the halving and got to $20k

looking at the 2017 ATH ($20k) the 2020 halving year did not surpass $20k
the ATH was reached a year after the halving and got to $70k

so with that "history repeating itself" speculation
2024 wont exceed $70k but will see a new ATH in 2025

Right on spot, I think we need to observe these small but important things because everyone including myself are very much eagerly waiting for bull run post halving but if we look at the history and how the Bitcoin has performed we may not see the new ATH in 2024 but atleast we can accumulate Bitcoin during this phase if we believe in "history repeating itself". Else, we need to be prepared for bull run or even a sideway market, in short let's be prepared for everything and think logically.
1144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rollercoaster of emotions. How to deal with? on: January 02, 2024, 05:07:20 PM
Do one thing, just keep aside a part of your salary even if it's 5% or 10% as monthly investment for Bitcoin by this way you will always be one safer zone because you will be buying Bitcoin throughout the year be it bear market or bull market which reduces your level of risk and moreover set a target like 3 years or 4 year like Fixed deposit and don't withdraw it before that else you may set up a Bitcoin price target post which you can withdraw incase if Bitcoin hits that target. I would say you shouldn't be worried much about Bitcoin investment because it's not like Altcoins where you risk it all and if you are investing only a part of your salary as mentioned above you will not feel like investing huge amount but it would eventually accumulate on a bigger amount.
1145  Other / Archival / Re: Generational wealth on: January 02, 2024, 04:39:28 PM
The key to make money in healthcare is don't cure your patient too fast, make them back to you and spend more money to follow other steps. Since a pharmacist not allowed to diagnose the patient, you need to make a personal agreement with the doctor who work as private medical practice in your pharmacy.

This sounds like an evil, but that's a way to make more money in healthcare if your goal is for business.

This really sounds evil and indeed an evil practice to do but people and some pharmaceutical tycoons are already doing with it whose aim is just to make money and generate recurring business by not curing the patient's illness but rather prolong the treatment and if you look at the composition of an medicine which is prescribed by an doctor and then look at it's alternative with same composition you will fin huge difference in the price thus plays the business agreement between doctors and pharmacists.
1146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICP pumping - is it time to take profit or too early? on: January 01, 2024, 10:18:55 PM
ICP still has potential of reaching much higher numbers and IMO it would be better to hodl on for a while but at the same time if you want you may withdraw partial amount, Even in the past this coin was hyped to be the next big things and if you look at their ATH you would realise the potential it has before the bearish market and I don't suggest you to hodl until it breaks previous ATH but atleast some more profit.
1147  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: New year's Goals. on: January 01, 2024, 06:34:24 PM
I used to set goals in the past but it didn't serve any purpose because I used get diverted within weeks and once again towards the end of year I used to think I will start working towards the goal from the upcoming year and never really achieved it. Hence, this time I have not set any particular new year resolutions or goal but rather whatever I plan to do I start working on them immediately like started working on accumulating Bitcoins which I have already started since last year, having work life balance and etc. I don't think any particular time is important to have resolutions.
1148  Economy / Speculation / Re: 112 days waiting for bitcoin halving!! on: January 01, 2024, 06:06:55 PM
Yes we should not miss out this time as it has become quite evident that there would be null market post halving so we gotta start accumulating Bitcoin else set up a target for us to take entry like $45k to avoid missing out on rally and at the same time if we have fear of taking entry before a dump. DCA is the best option to play safe.

I guess this time lot of users have started DCA for a while now and already they are in profit.

I am not advising to invest now because we are still hoping there would be a dump before rally but I am suggesting DCA for time being and slightly higher amount if Dump happens so that we get benefitted by both the market conditions.
1149  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fear of December dump is fading away - for Bitcoin on: December 31, 2023, 11:20:37 AM
usually the end of the year this means December usually the price goes up instead of down. the word black December is usually only for the ponzy scheme business industry not for cryptocurrencies.
what's more, at the end of the year before halving the price or market will not crash and fall sharply.

unless there is news of fear for crypto currency users that causes prices to crash sharply.

Not always, as December has been a negative month month rather than a positive especially end of December.I may be wrong but stats don't lie I would suggest you to check the dips which has happened in the end of December every year. I had assumption that every year December would not be so good which turned out to be false this year but that doesn't invalidates the market trend of the past.
1150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and the Masses on: December 31, 2023, 10:41:04 AM
We cannot influence people to use Bitcoin unless things are made easy and Bitcoin should be easily accessible by everyone. If a new person has to use Bitcoin for its core uses like P2P transfer without involvement of third party.

But now how would you explain newbie about the transfer fee which is higher than the actual amount itself if you wanna send lesser amount? Also there should be educational campaigns and seminars but who is going to take the initiative?

I feel we cannot ask people to adopt Bitcoin as a decentralised P2P transfer medium due to the complexity which occur during every bull run when it comes to transfer.

Transaction related issues should be sorted only then people will even think about Bitcoin else why would they leave the traditional transfer method and use Bitcoin?
1151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies are not Scums.... Learning is a Process and it's progressive. on: December 31, 2023, 09:47:13 AM
I feel sorry for you and all the other newbie who have been treated this way, even I have seen the way people respond to anything which is posted by newbie, instead of responding to their questions they are mocked, embarassed, insulted and demotivated. I think senior members of this group should change their approach towards newbie and be sensitive and reasonable while responding.

Feedback for newbie: Please search for the topic or doubts before creating a new one.
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: another shitcoin another scam.... or? BURRRD on: December 31, 2023, 07:57:10 AM
Hey, I found a small funny thing yesterday this token on the Solana blockchain BURRRD so I checked up their website. https://www.burrrd.club/ at least they are honest about what it is or?  Grin

"Disclaimer BURRRD is a meme coin with no intrinsic value or expectation of financial return. There is no formal team or roadmap. The coin is completely useless and for entertainment purposes only.

I have no connection to the coin or the team behind it in anyway if that's needed to say.

There are many of similar meme coins I've encountered. There was/is a coin that advertised "The team of this coin has had their last project grow upto x156 times.
That just means they are capable of pumping this coin to a large number and then dump it to create a new coin like they did previously. Though they don't provide any info of their last project and we just need to trust their app.
Funnily enough I invested $50 on them and got $150 profit in a matter of days. I didn't wait for the x100. The project got listed on CMC and is now trading above to what I sold for.

These are way too risky and only good for people who do gambling because it's no less than gambling and I would never be endorsing such things because it can literally break a person's life of they invest everything and the coins goes zero. I agree there are coin which can give us infinite returns like meme coins but the question here is how many meme coins have been able to achieve such feat? We have no idea about number of failed meme coins if you look at the number it's scary and if we just callout one or two project which has pumped it's misguiding people to invest into shit coins hence I would say we should refrain from promoting such project indirectly though we don't intend but still by our opinion others might get tempted.
1153  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Ithiopia bankrupted? on: December 31, 2023, 06:37:24 AM
This is the same problem with entire African continent wherein earlier it was the issue of colonization but now it's amongst themselves because you name an issue it has it be it civil war or corruption or millitary coup Africa is going through all these issues.

Please don't take me wrong as I am not trying to put Africa in bad light as it's the rules and regime who are corrupt but it's innocent and hardworking people suffer everyday.

The only solution is atleast nurturing the current generation and raising them to be an honest and peace loving person because the issue which Africa is going through is created by their own crooked leaders.

Only African with new generation raised through loe and care with proper importance of humanity can bring in changes. Just wishing noble people of Africa having peaceful and happy life like they had before colonization
1154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What many of us newbies are getting wrong about merit on: December 31, 2023, 05:21:27 AM
There are numerous topics in regards to the same but at the same time this is the topic where most of the users have misunderstood the concept because you will some people just keep on getting merit will be sharing extensive details which indeed helps other and there is no harm in it, while others just share their opinion and actively join any discussions and when they don't know they do some research and share the thoughts which looks natural they get merit. Now the difference between two is simplex as the first one wants to climb the ladder of ranking and the second one is just being themself and both deserve merits.

Merits should be considered as an add-on rather than a requirement.

1155  Local / India / Re: Shadow Ban on Crypto Exchanges on: December 31, 2023, 05:05:32 AM
Ban the URL is a way of saying ban the application and the online access to these exchanges. I have not been able to find out when will this ban happen. I am only getting information that these 8 exchanges need to comply with AML policy and if not then they will place the ban. A ban in this age of the internet is never possible as there is always another way to access those URLs. So the government ban will not work unless they ban the internet in India or the exchange stops onboarding Indian crypto users.

Ban won't stop people from having access to these exchange but it would be difficult to cashout if you want as there might be hurdles if you want to convert crypto to fiat and ths would push people towards illegal steps hence government should consider all the possible reactions associated with it if they consider banning url, There is no need of taking this hasty step but stubborn government is not leaving any opportunity in killing Indian crypto industry which is bad news as India was once dominating this space.
1156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Questionable features of Bitcoin on: December 31, 2023, 04:42:27 AM
While i appreciate your efforts in pointing out the flaws which has to be worked upon but you will only find people passing the bucks station it's not Bitcoin's fault and give you some lecture. Honestly, in layman's term it's not been used as per it's inception and regardless of reasons, congestion or ordinal things we have to understand it's a flaw and people are investing in Bitcoin just for investment and it will not be the first preferred or even preferred coin which it comes to P2P until these transfer time and fee is fixed.
1157  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How is an ordinary person's week going in your country? on: December 31, 2023, 03:10:59 AM
I live in South Asian nation and especially the city while I live is traffic prone where we end up travelling 4 hours in a day to work and yeah it's the same working hour which is 8 hour working and 1 hour break, if we stay in the locality closer to work then we can have leisure time to spend with family but I stay like 15 miles away from my workplace so it's just wat, sleep, work and repeat during weekdays and during weekends we get to spend quality time with family.
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your altcoin holding with low value on: December 31, 2023, 02:29:47 AM
We don't have much options apart from hodling because it would be foolishness to sell when the value has dropped be aur we have seen most of the Altcoins especially the ones you get through bounty drops heavily hence we need to wait for that one moment when the price starts increasing order to sell it off. The only problem here is we often don't get to see the rise as they tend to die.
1159  Economy / Speculation / Re: High transaction fees affects buyers and seller in payment in bitcoin on: December 31, 2023, 01:23:27 AM
There is no point in using Bitcoin as a payment method when the charges are exorbitant hence I would rather suggest and this is something which I had been doing for a while now, we should start utilizing other crypto assets like altcoins or stable coins instead of Bitcoin for transfer because it doesn't make sense for us to pay such high transaction fees.

But, still the opinions are divided while some would agree with my method and some would disagree and say that we should only do higher transactions to cut down on transaction fees.
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming altcoins on: December 30, 2023, 09:09:12 PM
I wouldn't be able to suggest any upcoming coins now due to the recent scams which has happened in the IPO and moreover I wouldn't rather decide to invest into a particular coin which promises listing in big exchange and will be willing to reveal the exchange where they would listing thier coin and then will be cross verifying with the exchange whether they would be listing the said coin. I know this is boring nd looks too complicated but we have to do this before investing for our own safety.
