1141  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you do in this situation? Invest or save? on: October 01, 2023, 01:10:55 PM
It's up to you, if you are willing to take risks for a chance to earn double or more profits then you should start with the business. But if you are not ready to take risks and do not want to lose the money you have saved, you should choose the second option. Everything is proportional to each other, if you choose option 2 you will be safer but it will take longer to achieve the expected results.
We are not you and we are not in your situation so it is difficult to give you the best advice. You should know what you need, what you want and should make all your decisions yourself.
1142  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession? How to face It? on: October 01, 2023, 12:58:28 PM
When a country has a recession, does that mean that all countries are affected? isn't that right? Then, why should we wait for that to happen when we can prepare for it, whether the recession happens or not, at least we have prepared for the things that will suddenly come into our lives.
Instead of when it's there and it's already happening, we'll prepare when it's difficult to do it, instead of when we're still relaxed and we didn't prepare. Let's not allow ourselves to add to the problem that can happen in situations like that.

That's what I mean, a lot of it is about the recession and how to get through it now that we're in a recession. Many people even complain and blame the government for causing them to have this difficult life. Why do many people still live very leisurely lives and not worry too much about what is happening while we constantly complain about everything? Has anyone ever asked that question? It's all our fault for not preparing well for our lives, we have been too subjective about life and forgotten that without a recession, unwanted things can still happen to us.

No matches are scheduled for today at the Asian Games Men's Cricket Competition. However, the Nepal vs Maldives and Hong Kong vs Japan matches are scheduled for tomorrow at Hangzhou. And the final group match will be played on Monday, when Malaysia takes on Thailand. As per current trends, the teams that will qualify for the quarter-final phase will be Nepal, Malaysia and Hong Kong.  These three teams will join the 5 test nations (India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan) at the quarter-final phase.
Yes today there is not Asian Games series match which is too boring and I really enjoyed this series very much. I really miss first match performance of Nepal team now tomorrow matches seventh match out of 17 played Nepal against Maldives this match going to be very exciting. I hope Nepal team will show same performance as they played in first of this series and set very big target in just 20 overs and only K.Malla single player made a brilliant century. On against side Maldives also won previous match against Mongolia but Mongolia did not set a good target only 60 runs but this show that how bowling performance of Maldives would be outstanding.

Not going to lie I am not very much interested about this one. The only thing which I am probably interested about is actually the performance of Nepal.  Because the way they have performed in the last match I think they will probably be able to perform like that again. At this moment Nepal is at the top of the table with a huge advantage in terms of net run rate.  So it is going to be really hard for any other team to actually get past the net run rate if they cannot beat Nepal in terms of points. Let's see what happens. But I definitely think Nepal is the best team among these three.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 30, 2023, 04:50:04 PM
The players of the Australian team did not perform well today, as there was a considerable time break due to rain, but the 23 overs were decided in the last overs. In terms of wickets, the Australian team was at a heavy loss, due to which they were not able to score more runs. But from this side the Netherlands team is an active side as they are likely to go if they can defend their wickets till the end. Netherlands team will be under a lot of pressure due to the strong bowling of Australia team.
But I can see that the players of the Netherlands team have less patience.
The fans of the Netherlands team never expected such a game as wickets fell at the start of the power play. Two of the batsmen were out for zero runs and their patience was very low. Max Odowd and Barresi, these two players left the Netherlands team under pressure. So far Netherlands team has collected 2 wickets 12 runs in 2 overs.

Australia has not performed well in this match so far. It is true. But Netherlands are also not doing anything extraordinary as well. Australia was unable to give a very big target. Currently the Netherlands team needs 102 runs from 69 balls. The problem is they have only four wickets in hand. But I don't think anyone is actually going to care too much about this. Especially because this is just a warm up match. So winning or losing does not matter at all in this match. But I would like to see the Netherlands play till the end and try to play out all the overs.
1145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking scams ...How are Bitcoin better? on: September 30, 2023, 09:17:10 AM
Then the only thing the bank told him was that he could still get his time deposit, but 30% would be returned to him. After those events, my friend lost trust in the bank because it's an event where your account can be frozen and your money can be legally stolen. So I learned from this experience.
I don't buy your story, it's not possible the banks only want to give 30% of the funds, it's a corruption. If they recognize there's an illegal transaction in your friends account, they're either allow or not allow you to withdraw all of your funds.

Even someone is breached the banks' time deposit rule, they will not charge as high as 70%.

It was definitely a fabricated story. If the bank intends to appropriate the property, it will freeze it or not accept the other guy's explanation as legal. They will be able to take over the entire asset easily because it is illegal money, there is no reason for them to accept it as legal and charge 70%. Furthermore, @bettercrypto can you provide the specific amount your friend deposited in the bank? Is it a huge amount of money or just an insignificant amount?
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is cryptocurrency illegal in some countries? on: September 30, 2023, 09:06:13 AM
In many countries, it isn't illegal, however the countries that have made it illegal do so for many reasons, volatility is one of the most often cited reasons, as is energy use, concerns over destabilization, or the ease with which criminals' activities can be financed and conducted using them. Forgetting the advantage of cryptocurrency which has over the years gained popularity amongst investors globally. With technological involvement and industrialization, digital currencies are obtaining a satisfactory position over others, for example, bitcoin. By using cryptocurrency it is easy to transfer money without any involvement of banks and other financial l institutions. Inflation protection, due to inflation the value of so many currencies drops with this many people see cryptocurrency as offering protection against inflation. Bitcoin has a hard cap on the whole number of coins that will ever be minted.
Bitcoin takes away some of the power banks and governments have accumulated over the years, tell me, do you think they like it? And as you may guess the answer to that is no, governments do not like it as bitcoin allows a person to bypass their money printing policies, or to put it in other words, they cannot use the inflation tax against you, and banks do not like it as their job as a middleman is not needed anymore, then it is not surprising that both are making movements to try to limit the adoption rate of bitcoin all over the world.

Indeed, bitcoin's decentralization brings us a lot of benefits, but for the government it is not good at all because they need more centralization to consolidate power. If they lose control of their citizens, it means they will collapse. So, it's no surprise or shock that governments don't like bitcoin and ban it. I think Satoshi himself foresaw this when he created bitcoin and that's why he decided to remain anonymous and leave no trace. But the question is, can the government ban bitcoin forever? When people defy the ban to use bitcoin.
1147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Secure Your Legacy, Educate Your Loved Ones on: September 30, 2023, 08:52:50 AM
Indeed, we try to work hard to earn a lot of money not only for ourselves but also for our loved ones. But there are still some people who consider money more important than family affection. I remember a long time ago, I read comments that they don't want to share their bitcoin secrets with anyone, not even their parents or wives, they don't trust anyone but themselves. I really don't know what those people were thinking when they could say those things. I wonder, if there are no parents, who will raise them, why do they doubt their own parents?

After all, bitcoin is money, if we lose it, getting it back is not too difficult, but if our parents are no longer there, can we get their back?
Because not every people in this world are raised in the same way.

According to your post, you're raised with a good parenting and your wives are nice to you, this make you willing to give everything you have to your loves ones.

But there's a person who start to work when he was still 7 years old because his parents abandon him, his wives choose other rich man over him etc. So who can he trust?

I haven't been in that situation so I don't know who to believe, but I'm talking about relatives, parents, wives and children. Many people pride themselves that they trust no one but themselves, they value bitcoin more than the lives of their loved ones, I don't think that's something to be proud of.

~Snip~

Of course, your point is based on truth. I have experienced this myself. On this forum, probably at the beginning of this month, I was reading a replay of a person on a thread in which he wrote that I do not want to share my private key even with my family. He says that he should not take my money from me. I don't understand how people do not trust their families. So I believe that you should tell your family that if you die tomorrow or some other problem occurs, at least your family should get the benefit of your assets so that they don't use them unnecessarily or waste them.

I really don't understand what those people think when they value money more than the people who gave birth to them, without our parents, we would not be where we are today. Then later, they will understand that feeling when their children also do not trust them.
1148  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: September 29, 2023, 05:24:57 AM
With all the news of the economy being on the negative side and people feeling the effects of that said economy, I think it's understandable why a lot has become pessimistic, it's not like they can do anything about it individually, it's the government's incompetency and stupid policies that has lead us to this point, unless people start thinking about putting the competent personnels on the critical parts of the government, there's no change and the pessimism will eventually become the norm.

Are you sure that changing the government apparatus will be able to improve the national economy and people's lives will be better? Honestly, I have not seen any government that is so dedicated to their people, they always take care of themselves before they think of others. Look at the presidential candidates, when calling for elections they talk very well but when they achieve their goals, what they do is completely opposite to what they declared.
Anyone is greedy, including you and me, we would criticize and blame them but if we were in their position. We will also be greedy and always put personal interests first, that is human nature.

For alternative reasons, they should go back to the gold standard (a gold-backed currency) to escape the current economic crisis we have seen lately causing havoc around the world lately.

I think going back to the gold standard is impossible because the amount of money the government has printed is so large, and no government will have enough gold to back the fiat they have printed. Furthermore, it will make it difficult for the government to print money and they will not be able to manipulate things according to their wishes. If I remember correctly, the US government proposed and abolished the gold standard for fiat currencies. And they are using USD to control the world quite effectively, it will not be easy for them to lose this power.

Two days ago today I had $100 I traded $100 in bitcoin and made $10 profit now I traded $110 in bitcoin now I have $180 I mean I made $70 in two days Best earnings of my life And I want to make bigger profits trading bitcoin in the future and I want to light my future by trading bitcoin and I will trade and I will not train too much by greed I will not be addicted to training I will always watch the market and invest on bitcoin will try it looks great to me i started with $100 now i have bitcoins $180 i earned $80  between the two it is never possible by any job and it is not possible by any government government what is possible with bitcoin i am bitcoin Much respect and salute.

I have seen here many people comparing gambling game with bitcoin gambling game is a test of luck a game should never be compared to it and if you have experience on gambling then you can play gambling but you can't get addicted and get addicted to anything. It is neither good nor harmful for a person.

So you had made a profit of the ten percentage of your investment, this is very easy one in the bitcoin trading.Because bitcoin is the potential coin as compared to the other coin in the cryptocurrency. If you start the next trade with the 1000 dollars, then you get the profit of 50-100 dollars from the bitcoin trading. It’s essential to fix the price of the bitcoin at which you are going to inverse to get the return money. If you inverse at the random price of the bitcoin, then it take huge time to get profit from your investment.

Do you mean making money from bitcoin trading is easy? So can you tell me how much profit you make from bitcoin trading? This is the first time I've heard someone say that making money from trading is easy because as far as I know, trading is considered a lot harder than holding for the long term. That's why people often say that trading is not for the masses, while you say that trading is easy to make profits. I'm really confused to hear you say this.

Bitcoin's potential is irrelevant to whether you make money trading or not because you are relying on its short-term volatility.

I think that a head of house will not think about himself because whatever he is earning is for his family. So if someone is working hard day and night for his children and family so he should also share his earning potential with them.

If a person accumulate bitcoin for a reason that it will provide benefit to his family and suddenly he dies without giving knowledge about it to his family then I think his whole hard work becomes useless. Always think that a single person cannot get whole money as life is unpredictable so prepare your investment in such a way that it can be beneficial for both you and your family.

Share your knowledge of bitcoin with your family so they if they grew up surely they will be profitable as they have learned all the things in advance.

Indeed, we try to work hard to earn a lot of money not only for ourselves but also for our loved ones. But there are still some people who consider money more important than family affection. 1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 28, 2023, 07:57:19 PM
Chelsea had a great win against Brighton in today's EFL Cup match. This match in the EFL Cup was a great one for Chelsea. Chelsea have only won by one goal against Brighton.
In the first half it was not clear which side could win but after 50 minutes in the second half Chelsea were much ahead of Brighton and that one goal in 50 minutes sealed the win for the team.

It has to be a great match for Chelsea in the EFL Cup where Chelsea have regularly been the worst in the English Premier League.
Chelsea's next opponent in the EFL Cup is Blackburn, where Chelsea have won against Brighton so it is expected that Chelsea will definitely be ahead in this match.
The beginning of a good step for Pochettino because it was previously difficult to win Chelsea to win and even though they faced a team that was far below their quality. EFL is not much more important than the Premier League and the focus of Pochettino should be large in the main diliga because they need points to boost their positions in the standings. But if seen the match takes place more dominated by Brighton and they can hold the ball above 61%. Luckily Jackson got the moment to break into Brighton's goal so that Chelsea could come out as the winner in the match.

The problem is how when they play in the Premier League because the opponents they face in the future are Fulham. The schedule of matches in the Premier League is far more important now because they have been far behind in the standings and if Pochettino again accepts defeat or draws it will be difficult for Chelsea to pursue the top five positions.
Victory over Brighton should be a good start for Chelsea's revival. Even though it was only in an EFL match, it really helped raise the team's morale to look forward to the next match. Chelsea really has to take advantage of other competitions besides the Premier League, because logically it might be very difficult for the Blues to compete again at the top of the standings. Therefore, Pochettino must be wise in seeing the opportunities that exist and he is required to be able to bring Chelsea to achieve success again.

I really think that Chelsea will have to perform better in the English Premier League. Otherwise the position of the coach is definitely going to be under a lot more pressure than it already is in. In the English Premier League,  they are still not in a very good position. And let’s remember that the win against Brighton was not  English Premier League match. And Premier League should be a big worry for them right now.

Chelsea will play against Fulham in the next match and right now even they are ahead of Chelsea on the points table.  I actually do not think it is going to be easy for Chelsea to win this match. Chelsea will actually have to work hard. I am also not going to be surprised if this ends up being a loss for Chelsea.
1153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep safe the mnemonic phrase - Whats Your method? on: September 28, 2023, 08:08:13 AM
I don't want to make things difficult for myself, I save my seeds in 1 flash disk and 1 special book because I'm the type of person who is forgetful so I think a flash disk in a book is the right place to store my seeds.

So, have you ever thought about your flash drive being damaged because electronic devices are very susceptible to unexpected damage, even if you preserve them very carefully? And the fact that you only have 1 copy saved in the notebook and no other backups, have you also thought about losing it or other problems?

You should have 2 or 3 backups stored in different places, that will give more assurance to your seed phrase. Furthermore, you can also share it with your closest loved ones, don't let those bitcoins disappear with you without a relative to inherit if you encounter unexpected problems.
1154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Can play its role to overcome the Financial Crises on: September 28, 2023, 07:58:25 AM
I completely agree with the characteristics you mentioned about bitcoin. But frankly, how will bitcoin help the world overcome the crisis while it itself is still being negatively affected by the crisis? Do you remember times of high inflation, high interest rates or any huge bad news from war also made bitcoin volatile? Bitcoin is even affected by news and events of the world economy, how can it be said that it will take on the role of overcoming the crisis?

Bitcoin is a volatile investment, and whether you can profit from it to get you through a crisis or make you worse off depends on your knowledge and skills. Bitcoin does not guarantee you anything, you are responsible for your life.
1155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Inspired Me To Invest In Bitcoin. on: September 28, 2023, 07:42:35 AM

1. Bitcoin is an asset: Bitcoin is an asset because it can grow from the point of purchase, especially when taken advantage of markets that are falling in orife or have fallen in price to purchase as well as rise in price to sell. With Bitcoin, you can start small and grow big.

Yes, there are many reasons and advantages of bitcoin that make us invest in bitcoin, but the biggest reason and top concern is profit, we have great interest in bitcoin because it can bring money for us. If bitcoin had all those advantages but if it was not volatile and not profitable, I believe you, me and many others would not be inspired to join and support the bitcoin revolution. Nowadays, when mentioning bitcoin, people will immediately think of investing to make a profit, not many people will mention its decentralized nature.
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 27, 2023, 07:23:02 PM
This match was not an important match for India. And it's not even their World Cup squad. Many may think that losing like this before the World Cup is risky for India. But I don't think so. This is not India's World Cup squad. So India fans have no reason to worry.
Have you watched the 3rd ODI between India and Australia? Compared to the previous two match squad, India has played with a better squad today. Most of the players was from the world cup squad, except 2. The top order batsmen of Australia played very well today. Although I agree with the fact that India shouldn't worry about today's loss. Because, they have played very well in the ODI matches in this year.
Australia is played really cool today. Australia win 3rd ODI match against India by 66 runs. It's a fantastic win. Australia and India have gained a lot of reputation in the game of cricket and today those two strong teams played against each other and Australia played an incredible game. India played very well in the last 2 matches and beat Australia badly but in today's match Australia got their revenge ha ha.

I think India was actually going for a whitewash in this match. And I also believe they were on the right track to get it as well. But for some reason the middle order absolutely collapsed for them. And they were unable to do anything substantial with the middle and late order.

I think India was actually experimenting with Washington Sundar, they tried to play him as an opener. I don't think that has actually worked. And I also believe this was the only experiment they actually tried to do in this match. Otherwise India was definitely determined to win this match. Even though the match was not very important for this series. Australia was able to salvage something from this series. Of course, congratulations to Australia for that.

In the other match at Asian games cricket competition, Japan defeated Cambodia. Both the teams were fielding squads mostly comprised of immigrants. There were only two locals in the Cambodia squad (Te Senglong and Phon Bunthean), while the Japan team only had 4 locals (Wataru Miyauchi, Tsuyoshi Takada, Makoto Taniyama and Kohei Kubota). Batting first, Cambodia made 125/7 in 20 overs, with Japanese bowler Ryan Drake taking 3 wickets. Japan chased down the target with 3 wickets and 1.5 overs to spare, with Kendel Fleming top-scoring for them with 35.

Really good performance from the Japanese top order batsmen. They did very well to make sure that they did the bulk of the scoring and the players that came after them had an easier job. It did get a little interesting towards the end.  especially when Japan started losing a lot of wickets very quickly. But in the end they were able to reach the target with a lot of balls left in hand.

To be honest, the target from Cambodia was not good enough.  Even after Japan, conceded 16 extra runs they were able to score, only 125. It was just a matter of patience for Japan in the end.

[FT] Sassuolo 4 - 2 Juventus

Juventus failed to catch up with Inter Milan and AC Milan who are currently ranked 1st and 2nd in the Serie A standings, even though Juventus dominates the game in terms of ball possession, but that's not enough to beat Sassuolo, because Sassuolo has the advantage in attack. Sassuolo even managed to increase their lead in injury time because of Federico Gatti's own goal. With the results of this match, Juventus is in 4th position in the standings and has the potential to be overtaken by Napoli who will face Bologna.

well they didn't make a good impression to concede 4 goals from Sassuolo
the defense made several mistakes and not only that, this destroyed my multiple bet which otherwise would have been won
never mind, I lost my 2 euros a week, but I don't understand how Juventus, who have Champions League ambitions with Sassuolo, could have lost... well

They not only lost against Sassuolo, they have lost pretty badly in this match. I know most of the people actually expected them to win in this match. But the way they have lost the match was definitely more unexpected for everyone.  They are obviously trying to aim to finish in the top four position and if possible, win the league title. But they cannot perform like this when they are trying to achieve those things. They will have to improve that performance very quickly.

Actually I think I am also being a little too much hard on them. They had been performing very well so far before this match. You know they did not lose a single match before this one. that it's just that we did not expect them to lose this one.  Sassuolo is certainly not a very hard opponent when compared to Juventus. That's why people are talking a lot of trash about them, and of course, then there was the defending of  Juventus.
1159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the SEC approve BTC ETF in the coming 23 days? on: September 25, 2023, 03:23:22 AM
The answer is no, they will not accept the ETF in the coming 23 days, but they will also not reject it, instead, they will delay it. And will extend the dates, in my opinion, they wanted to use this news or hype which will be created due to the approval of ETFs, as fuel to boost the BTC price up, upper than we all have expected. Like a bonus.

But, if we look at the long run and ask whether they will approve it or not, then I think they have no other option but to approve them all because they will have more benefit from these approvals, as exposure of BTC will increase and people who are not into BTC investment yet, will start to make investments and this will ultimately increase their (country) income via taxes and by other means. Overall, all they need is more investors, who can buy their shares.

Plus, we should not make SEC an entity that would have that much impact on the industry, I mean, there is no doubt that they do have an impact on the market, but we all should not make decisions according to them because they are just working in US and BTC is being used in worldwide, if they don't accept BTC ETFs then another country would approve that and then the investors will move to that country and all the profits will be theirs. And the US can not let that happen.
Who is "they"? Because that's not how SEC could operate even in theory. You are saying SEC is corrupted while they are literally one of the organisations created against corruption. I totally understand someone's mindset if they thought it as just another company that wants to make profits. But they don't need outside funding. They get all the money they need via US government, so they have insanely big budget. And organisations like SEC have to have full transparency and auditability about everything. So they are not going to play with bitcoin markets or hold bitcoin. That would be insane. I am guessing even the people who work there would be too afraid to hold it as if it would go up because of something SEC would do, they would get jailed for insider trading.

In theory, what you say is not wrong, but don't forget that human greed is bottomless. As you see, why do many billionaires with hundreds of billions of dollars like Elon still want to make more money every day while he will never be able to spend all that money until he dies? Furthermore, they are corrupt or they are trying to manipulate the market, they have no obligation to inform you, what evidence do you have to be sure that they are not corrupt or not invested in bitcoin?

In addition, there are many corruption cases in the government that take decades to investigate. Then, you know the truth, does it have any more meaning?

I see a lot of people here comparing gambling games to bitcoins I think those who do this are mentally ill ...

They are not mentally ill, they simply have no knowledge about bitcoin and they mistake bitcoin for gambling because they have heard many stories of losses when investing in bitcoin. Just like those who lost money investing in bitcoin, they will call bitcoin a scam, and those who profit from it, they call it the future.

Whether Bitcoin is gambling or the future depends on each person's perspective, don't worry about it. What matters is you, what you gain from investing in bitcoin, and what you need to do to achieve your goals. Don't worry about what people say, focus on your goals.
