Great breakdown. For very cold storage I would say the paper wallet wins hands down, and for a cold but not ice cold solution, the hardware wallet takes the cake.
Couldn't have said it better but in order to make paper wallet the most safe option it has to be handled very carefully. They don't leave much space for mistakes.

Hello Boxxob , i do not receive my payment ,
Nobody has received their payment because they haven't been sent yet. EDIT: Hopefully payments will be sent later today Edit#2: Seemingly Alex has been keeping busy today and the payments haven't been sent yet. I honestly can't give an estimation right now as I haven't been talking with him since earlier today but I'm hoping today (Friday) will be the day.

Spreadsheet updated and provided to Alex.
No new participants will be accepted for now. I'll let you know if this changes!
(due to some cases of burst posting etc. I reduced some payouts but no big issues this week, thanks!)
That was a good campaign but thanks God I am no more the part of this campaign as I do not want to not get paid and having your signature on my profile. Good Luck for the campaign, bitdice and the participants. No kidding! They did not tell me and I posted 40+ for nothing and not getting paid with their changing campaign right in the middle of people having posted already. What a fraud for a campaign manager they chose for this and won't doubt this will not last very long as well. Best of luck for the rest of year! I was attempting to PM energycr about his removal but I'm getting this "User 'energycr' has blocked your personal message." so I'll just have to do it here. Due to the quality of his posts, post spam, bursting and my personal experience I'll have to remove him from the campaign.
As you can see I did try to let you know but your PMs didn't go through because YOU blocked my messages. Don't go calling me a fraud for that.

Good Luck for the campaign, bitdice and the participants. Nobody is ever left without payment if there's no reason to. If I let whatever post pass, I'd encourage spamming which I don't want.

Is it by any chance you were spending a bunch of small inputs? Let's say the transaction spent a bunch of small like 0.0001-0.0005 inputs, then there will be a bunch of fees to be paid. Although most people assume the amount they are sending somehow affects the transaction fee, it doesn't. You're just paying a fee that is suggested for a quick confirmation. In some cases it might be a large portion of the amount you're sending. However in this case it was a bit too much.
|
|
|
Although it has already confirmed, I just want to add that there's no believing the fees Blockchain.info suggest. They are usually quite far off and not at all accurate. If in future you run into a transaction that doesn't confirm, I'd try ViaBTC transaction accelerator. It has usually worked quite well and there's a big chance it will help!

There's no open spots for now. Therefore applications above haven't been accepted.

Congratulations to dudaxmaimons who has continued his 19x martingale to an amazing 238 bitcoin (..and counting)
Wow, that is quite an impressive win streak he has going there. He has avoided the dreaded martingale fail so far I see. Martingale has failed him quite a few times. Seems like the comeback was mostly due to some lucky yolo I think he went from +170 to +70 once.

I used to be one of those who used services like Blockchain.info for transactions but realized to step out when it was still early.
Nowadays I don't understand why people hold their coins on a site like that knowing there's a risk that something could happen while there's options to stay much safer with a very minimal effort.
I don't say online wallets are something aweful or dangerous. They are infact quite handy in some cases but I see it as a way too big risk considering what has been going on. All these "hacks" bring certain kind of doubt with them.

I see in your forum that you guys are working on to implement BlackJack. Any Update On That?
Never heard about they are working to implement BlackJack in Primedice. AFAIK, Primedice still pure dice gambling, and just only have this 1 game since they started There's been discussion that PD might have more games in the future. I think MICRO mentioned this in chat a while back. I have no idea whether the plans have been buried or not though

I'd like to announce that the loan service has now been reopened. The funds at my disposal are (for now) quite limited but I'll do my best to change that in the near future!
The repayment addresses have been changed and I have signed the messages. If someone wants, they could verify the signatures are correct!

You can store it at Bitcoin Wallet, Blockchain for the safest. And I will suggest that create many wallet if you have a large amount of bitcoin for Protection for hackers. If not one wallet is enough. Store your bitcoins at your wallet and don't share it for anyone for you and your money to be safe.
Blockchain is not a wallet, it's a system which is used by bitcoin and i would recommend you to learn first : http://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/blockchain.aspbut if you are reffering to blockchain.info then i will point out that it's not the safest option because it's basically online wallet which make your private key saved in their database so your private key is not secret anymore, i'm myself will recommend sort of desktop wallet or even hardware wallet You have a point. The safest wallet is paper wallet, whom can be saved in your desktop. What you need to use that wallet is to save your private key in order to open it. That is the best way if you would tend to "stock" your bitcoin. The only disadvantage of it is that, you can not open it from other desktop or device so if you lost your desktop or malware run in it, there is a possibility that you could not open it anymore Paper wallets aren't supposed to be used after you have spent the coins from it. The best way is to just spend a paperwallet and then create new one to receive new coins in. It's probably for the best to print a bunch of private keys at once. What I would suggest for the OP is either a paper wallet (given you know how to properly store them) or simply a Trezor or other hardware wallet. With paper wallets you would have to be extremely careful though. They are only safe if handled right.

Im thinking more like 2020 and everyone will be using bitcoin in one form or another.
I don't even think that 2020 or 2022 is bitcoin is on total adoption by that time. 3 - 5 years from now on is still not enough to make the people use bitcoin. But thinking about its earlier years it went very far by now and it seems that many people are getting into it everyday. Still I don't think with those given years bitcoin is not going to be used by almost everybody. although the number of bitcoin uses are increasing continuously, but still it is hard to believe that in 2022 almost all the people of the world will be using bitcoin at that time. the promotion of bitcoin is much faster nowadays and it is not hard that those people who have internet will have bitcoin in the near future like in the year of 2022. But for those who do not have internet connection it will be hard to adopt it especially for poor people. 2022 is very close in my opinion and to see that kind of an adaptation by then is a bit far fetched. Sure bitcoin has its potential but even if we only count those with access to internet there just simply isn't any use for bitcoin in everybody's life. There's plenty of people who will not see the hassle of learning all the gimmicks worth it.
|
|
|
If selling bitcoin and spending that counts, the worst thing I did was sell over 5 BTC and gamble it away on a fiat casino while bitcoin was only $300-$400. I could have kept those coins and sold now and I'd actually have a good use for them. But mistakes are made to be learned from, right? Life goes on!

How big is the team that runs SafeDice?
It seems to be getting more and more popular but lacks site admin and customer support that some of the bigger sites have.
Right now it seems to consist of the admin only unless I've understood something wrong. Besides that I think there are a few mods but they can't really do much more than monitor the chat. Considering admin seems to do support and run the site alone he's been doing a decent job. Though I'd probably like to see a bit more dedicated support in the future incase the site will grow bigger.
