1145  Other / Meta / Re: Suggested Forum Investments on: September 14, 2015, 09:54:33 AM
theymos is holding a lot of BTC for the forum both for "new forum software" and for "general purposes"

I think the forum should invest in the following companies:

Pop Secret. They are a popcorn manufacturer whose profits will rise when users buy their product while enjoying the drama that takes place on this forum. If people had a forum owned brand of popcorn to buy then the overall browsing experience will increase.

Bristol-Myers Squibb. They are the maker of prolixin. Their profits will increase when users take this drug after incurring a little bit too much stress. The many crazy people on the forum need a safe way to prevent them from hurting themselves or from hurting others.

If the forum does not wish to invest in either of these companies, then they should get a referral link so users can buy their products while benefiting the forums.

Either of these solutions should produce more then enough revenue to get rid of the annoying advertisements contained in every thread.

forget "New forum Software".
I'm hearing about it from three years ago!

there is just a discussion about that.

our dev is gone and not reachable for months now.

the only one atm perhaps who could at least release a new version with the from himself proposed changes is bitladen, but it is not clear, if the community will follow.

so atm nothing will change until bin concretize his plans. hes talking for month now about this changes, but also nothing happens....

i really don't understand why the dev is gone...
i see his last post was on: June 16, 2015, 02:35:26 AM.

a long time ago!!!

but there is a official reason for his leave?
Wallet 1.2.3 on: September 11, 2015, 08:36:59 AM

1148  Other / Meta / Re: Please fix search function? :D on: September 11, 2015, 08:34:10 AM
I'm sorry for this thread, but:

The search-engine on this forum is case-sensitive. Is this normal? Tongue
Different results when searching for "pacmic" vs "PACmic" vs "PACMIC".

Fixable?  Kiss

Same problem here when trying to find something.
Wait until we get a new forum  Smiley

I hear tabout he new forum for a long time now ... for years.
I do not think that it will release soon!!

Sometimes Bitcointalk is loading (1 minute or so) very slow for me, when other sites are loading just fine.

Is it just me or the problem is in the server?

in the last days was all fine for me.
which DNS do you use?
maybe the problem is therE?
1150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: September 11, 2015, 08:30:33 AM
Hey guys I'm not sure if this is the right place so please tell me if it is not. With that out of the way, I have a question for you all. I have recently been able to gather about .5 btc through minor trading and I was wondering if there was any method or way to grow this btc into a larger amount safety and fairly quickly. Thanks!

if you want to grow your bitcoin safety it's need long time
but if you want to grow quickly u will get high risk

that a chooice

Im not a good trader, but i can give you some tips, trade your bitcoin take 1-2% profit /day Smiley

1151  Local / Mining (Italiano) / Re: Guida semplificata windows/linux per mining ethereum on: September 11, 2015, 08:19:13 AM

1152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you buy physical gold? on: September 11, 2015, 08:14:20 AM
Gold today is priced at $1,105/oz down from $1,124/oz 10 days ago. Looking at some charts related to the price of gold, looks like a good investment in the future if I have enough money

i think gold outlook will be short..
next very very important level will be 1000$ and then 700$....
you could start to accumulate in this range.

take a look to the long time chart:

1154  Local / Mining (Italiano) / Re: Guida semplificata windows/linux per mining ethereum on: September 11, 2015, 08:03:45 AM

poi oh... fate vobis!!!

P.S.: si trovano già le r9 nano a 699euri...
http://hardware.hdblog.it/2015/09/10/raderon-r9-nano-vendita/
ok per i 175watt...
ma sono un po' tantini!
1155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wtf is happening in the last days? Funding to da mooon! on: September 11, 2015, 08:02:29 AM
I wonder when we will see the price reflect this kind of data...it's been sitting around the same for a long time now.

i think the price will oscillate in this range for a long time.
and there will be the possibility to high volatility, when roadmap news will be released...
Wallet 1.2.3 on: September 11, 2015, 07:57:59 AM

I haven't posted here for a few months now but what is this talk about taking block reward to devfund? this has to be a joke right? there is no way thats gonna work.

Also raising the block reward won't attract new miners. It will only turn on the cloud-mining that was shutdown when burst hit ~30-40 satoshi, now it's not worth mining so they shut it down. If you want an even lower price of burstcoin then yes increase the block reward because it will cause more dumping - because now cloudmining is profitable again.

+1
hi guys..
i don't understand...
there is a new block reward algo?
or dev are just talking about the possibility to change it?
1158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinwallet continues its giveaway/spam by revealing hundreds of private keys on: September 11, 2015, 07:44:16 AM
Don't do it guys, if you manage to get bitcoins from this you essentially spam attack your own wallet, if you have bitcoins already in your wallet it might become unusable. Some people are going to screw themselves with this I'm sure.

That is a very good argument. As people is contributing to the attack due to their greed, we should use this as the primary argument: Is for the sake of their own wallets

i think there are a lot of things to do to secure your bitcoins...
first of all i think to don't keep you bitcoin in exchange wallet!
1159  Local / Mining (Italiano) / Re: Guida semplificata windows/linux per mining ethereum on: September 10, 2015, 06:25:08 PM

This 1-2 weeks, '502 Bad Gateway' appeared when I am surfing on this forum, but it will like for few minutes or less, then back to normal.
But it happens like few times a day now.

Just want to ask is this only happened on mine...
I also experienced the same problem when I visit from my mobile.

try to check your DNS config...
set with free google dns...
8.8.8.8 or 5.5.4.4
this work for me.
