1141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: October 28, 2022, 10:07:36 PM
I have heard of a technique for sport betting but I didn't really use it till now. The technique consists of placing bets on underdogs the longer before the event you can.

Actually, there are bettors that do the same martingale betting in sports betting.

The big difference is, the odds per game will be different therefore, the winnings are not the same for x2 bet in every loss.

Regardless, a win is a win for these bettors as I have to agree that in a certain league, it's hard to imagine that a team will lose 10x in a row, and of course, we won't choose a team that is prone on that much losing streak.
1142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 28, 2022, 09:59:14 PM
I think for anyone who's not risking big amounts, doubling their money isn't something significant. If you make $0.10-$0.25 bets, like I mostly do, doubling is nothing, right? Sometimes I continue playing even after hitting 100x, but if it's 400x or more, I stop right away. I'm not withdrawing the money I won. I will be betting with them in the future, but not the day I won them. I want to enjoy my winnings for some time.

It really depends on how we will tolerate ourselves after experiencing a big win. Sometimes, if we won big, there's a thing inside our mind telling us to continue gambling because after all, we are lucky. If we stop, we might not win again. That will now test how far we will continue to play.

As much as we can, always put a limit after a big winning. Maybe just risks around 10-15% of our total winnings.

It's ok to gamble again but we should at least enjoy the big money we won.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Why We Prefer Online Casinos to Land-based Casinos on: October 28, 2022, 09:55:12 PM
Or is your country allowed online gambling and just ban land based casino?

I think the gambling regulation there targets the gambling provider and not the users.

There are online casinos that accept users from countries where online gambling is illegal.

That's why you can see, for example, in Islam countries, where gambling is illegal but there are users here who can access online gambling sites because the gambling provider itself allows these people to use the site as it was already outside the Muslim culture jurisdiction.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino with an online and offline branch. on: October 28, 2022, 09:39:48 PM
An online casino may open a land-based casino in a country that allows gambling to get more users from that country. But I think after Covid-19 is almost completely over, people may still feel comfortable playing online gambling but I don't know because it will depend on everyone who gambles. Maybe it will be good for online casinos to open land-based casinos and can increase profits but it still needs research to find out how big the chances of online casinos are to get more profits.

I haven't heard yet about online casinos opening their land-based version.

It's the other way around that is most possible to happen which is a physical casino will open up its online casino version as that was more convenient to operate.

Besides, I don't think it's worth it for online casinos to run a physical casino because operating a physical business is much harder.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I find way to win on dice on: October 28, 2022, 09:30:41 PM
Yes, it is very difficult to win with such a risky strategy, it may have worked for OP, but I think something like this works once, and then I don't think it works, for me these things are also very much due to luck, at the moment,

The problem with why there are people who think that martingale is good is because of that once-in-a-lifetime experience making a profit out of that betting style. Since they have won, the method they use will be registered in their mind and they will consider it an effective strategy.

That's why I told OP or anyone using that style to show their betting history.

Maybe their winning experience thru martingale wasn't able to make a repeat and now realized that's it not a way to win on dice.
1146  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: October 28, 2022, 09:25:40 PM
Holding the top 10 market cap coins might be a good tactic but for me, Bitcoin is the only good investment there for the long term.

There are lots of opportunities outside the Top 10 if we were able to hunt those and able to enter at the right time.

But regardless if it's Top 10 or not, making profits out of those depends on how we managed it.
1147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: October 28, 2022, 09:21:37 PM
Speaking about overcoming bears then it would be basing up on your own experience and awareness of this market which neither you  do know on what you should gonna do or would
totally freak out because it was your first time?

Actually, we don't need to overcome the bear market. Instead, take that as an advantage and our best shot to buy coins at cheap prices. If one has strong patience to wait for a changing trend, try to force ourselves to just hold or do selling just a bit during a bear market because the hard selling part should always be done in the bull market.

It's not that the bear market will last long, maybe it will take years to effect but it doesn't mean it will be the forever trend we will face.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler who betrayed his friend's trust on: October 28, 2022, 09:17:36 PM
In the story, you shared, how it's possible for Kelvin to easily withdraw $120,000? Is the account named after him and are all provided details owned by him as well? Or the money was claimed personally at the office?

How come Kelvin was easily able to move out to other states? If that's the case Charles surely contact his family about his whereabouts and it will trigger the authorities to help the family find Kelvin on the same day. Kelvin is also able to live in a big house which in real life, he can't just do within just 3 months because his name is under investigation.

Lastly, I can't imagine that there's the same Kelvin in real life will easily turn out like that.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 28, 2022, 09:03:31 PM
There might be fans of Logan and Jake here but I guess they are just afraid to come out because they probably knew they will just get themselves embarrassed.

But even though these brothers have lots of haters, they are successful in earning big bucks in all their fights. Logan Paul is inactive though and really not considering boxing as a priority sport. That's how they make money out of their profession even though many people dislike them.

That end up in the question of who's the real winner now and who ends up being bitter.

Jake Paul's status in boxing can still be saved as long as he will fight a real boxer within his league and not against a non-pro boxer and is already at retirement age even with how big those names are.
1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: October 28, 2022, 08:48:07 PM
This is true. So far Owldao is the best among the casino utility tokens in terms of performance because the devs keeps doing the buy back using the casino profit and burned it. Besides they are buying on exchange directly to reduce the circulating supply available on the exchange to boost the price unlike other casino tokens that just burned a portion of the circulating supply coming for the reserves of the project and not from the exchang tokens which does not give any price impact.

MEXC seems the exchange where OWL is actively trading where it has a daily average volume of $20,000 or around 1.8M OWL tokens.

I see a bunch of 200,000 OWL buy orders there set at a different price if ever the upper wall is crash.

Is that part of the team's operation buyback? I believed those orders are not owned by the same person or who knows.
1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 27, 2022, 11:34:08 PM
In my opinion, Gilberto Ramirez has a great chance of winning this fight.

Ramirez has a huge boxing experience.  He hasn't lost a single fight.  He has a very strong motivation to win the title from the Russian boxer.

Mexican boxers are known for their will to win (at one time I was very impressed by Jack London's story "The Mexican").

Ramirez is not an amateur, he is a professional and has always been a professional.

Now he has a great desire to win.  I think that now he is training hard and is completely focused on preparing for the upcoming boxing match.

All of your statement about Gilberto Ramirez is also in Dmitry Bivol's characteristics.

Huge a experience, a clean record, and of course strong motivation. You also mentioned professional and both of them are.

And maybe you are not aware that Dmitry Bivol already beat the strongest Mexican boxer and world champion, Canelo Alvarez, before this fight. Therefore that "Mexican will" you are referring to is not just the key to winning this fight.
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino with an online and offline branch. on: October 27, 2022, 11:28:06 PM
Honestly I don't think we have a crypto based offline casino yet. This could be for many reasons. But we are yet to see that.  However I believe some offline land based casinos have tried to go online during the COVID lockdown time to keep their revenue rolling but they are definitely not crypto based casinos.

But if I think from a profitability perspective, an online casino can be more profitable if we only compare their gambling income. Because you don't have to maintain a huge establishment and many employees. But offline casinos earn the most from food and drinks. So these are two very different proposition.

I think OP is not asking for a crypto-gambling but looking in general. I agree though with your statement that maybe some land-based casinos shift their system into online gambling for the meantime while everything is in lockdown and to make the business still operating during the lockdown.

As far as I know, the online version of land-based casinos is something that we can't see that much and I don't know if one of them exists. I think when these land-based casinos stop operating during the lockdown, they literally stop without pushing for their online casino version. They even lay off some of their employees and that means they don't intend to spend more building and developing an online casino but instead, wait for years to become freely operational again.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Why We Prefer Online Casinos to Land-based Casinos on: October 27, 2022, 11:24:10 PM
The argument is maybe biased and there should be no comparison between visiting online casinos mostly compare to land-based casinos. Not just accessibility but land-based casinos are not something we can see around like grocery, pet shops, barber shops, etc.

If any case that I have the opportunity to visit land-based casinos, I would definitely like to always try them. We should not just limit our gambling experience to online gambling. For me, it's boring to just stay in the house. Try also to get some taste of social interaction.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: October 27, 2022, 10:49:47 PM
I normally do this with dice games and if it played correctly its profitable.

Can you explain how can we even play it correctly?

We can't influence the winning chance there. That technique you are saying is the easy way to lose money.

Once you win, you will recover all the amount you lost.

The question is, can your bankroll still afford to bet after losing 10x consecutively? Calculate how much you need to bet on that losing streak.

I can't imagined how it easy for you to say that without considering the factors why a continuous losing streak is always possible to happen in dice.
1155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to improve your trading results? on: October 27, 2022, 10:45:29 PM
Create your trading plan, work on it and stick to your plan - Achieving consistency and discipline

Achieving consistency and discipline will surely take time to process. I like to add that having several plans to stick with is good rather than only a few. Since the market has different trends and behavior, we will end up encountering different situations and challenges therefore we also need several plans to adapt to the specific market environment.

Keep doing trades and make it a habit. We will always end up being the best in any field as long as we keep learning about that.

1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Countries that are Legal and Illegal in gambling on: October 27, 2022, 06:14:29 PM
I can only say now that there are still many countries that consider that gambling can help their government through online gambling based on what I have researched on this topic.

Maybe what you just did is to literally see the list but didn't bother to check each of the country's status about gambling.

Aside from Islam Countries where we all know that gambling is prohibited by their book, I think other countries you have listed under "gambling is illegal" actually allow gambling but with restrictions of course. They are hunting down illegal gambling operations as part of their respective gambling regulations.

But even so, in countries where there are restrictions on gambling, it continues to operate even though the government prohibits it.

It's already a normal situation in every country to see such shady gambling activities happening inside their premises, the same as other illegal activities.

Don't know the reason why instead of pushing for the legality, these operators like to operate illegally.
1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrency replace other currencies? on: October 27, 2022, 06:04:15 PM

That was too much to expect. That won't happen even if we count for centuries. Digital banking will replace the traditional banking method but the same fiat currencies will still be used. Technology is evolving and it will bring the banking system to a higher level.

I'm a pro-crypto but cryptocurrency can co-exist and work with the usual currencies.

I don't see why replacing should happen.
1158  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why are crypto exchanges not truthful? on: October 27, 2022, 05:58:25 PM
Up until now, these marketing tactics are still there and those platforms weren't even punished for doing this because we still see them operating. The only thing that we can do for now is to avoid using them and use only an honest exchange site.

Technically, those exchanges are honest. It's just that marketing-wise, a catchy phrase is necessary. Besides, all details about the welcome bonus or promotions are supposed to be on the terms. It's just that some users easily believed what they saw on the promotions without bothering to look at the terms.

Common sense, please. Can't believe there are people expecting exchanges will give free money, especially a considerable good amount?
1159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Class action lawsuit against Telegram on: October 27, 2022, 04:27:48 PM
Hello, I'm organizing a billion-dollar class action lawsuit against Telegram and the Founder and CEO Pavel Durov for not deleting "Pump and Dump"-Groups despite repeated requests. This is aid to market manipulation. I'm looking for people who have suffered damage as a result.

How long are you been in crypto? Do you experience a big loss from these so-called pumps and dump groups?

In the first place, why did you end up joining those? Even if you are not aware of these groups, it's your responsibility to do some research if such groups really exist for good. Can't believe you just invest or put money on that without doing research?

Move on, I should say. As much as I don't want to blame people who fall into that scheme, it's really your fault to end up like that. That's the problem when a person doesn't like to work smartly to earn money. Don't rely on other people to do it for you as that was totally nonsense.
1160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you Consider the Price of Bitcoin to be More Important than its Purpose? on: October 27, 2022, 04:22:39 PM
The fact that Bitcoin's price is one of the big reasons for its huge adoption since its inception, we can't hide the fact that for the majority, the price is more important than its purpose as a currency. On the good side, however, that popularity leads more people to know more about what bitcoin really is aside from being considered mostly as an investment. There are lots of blockchain summits, discussions, meetups, and related events that are organized to give the community general knowledge about anything related to crypto, specifically bitcoin.

We also have to consider that using bitcoin as a currency is still limited to most places in the world, unlike the usual currencies. But as time goes by, we can expect that more countries will become bitcoin-friendly at such a point that most physical stores are now directly accepting bitcoin as legal tender.
