1141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 17, 2023, 03:09:03 AM
Looking at the training pics of Zuck, I can’t look further than him now. My guy is looking good, we have to remember though, Elon is one of if not the smartest dude alive. Surely he will have a trick or two up his sleeve. The fight will be entertaining though, that’s for sure. I just hope it does happen.

Yes, Mark is good and somehow already serious in his training but knowing Elon Musk and what he had done in the past, he will surely have some tricks up in his sleeve because in the first place, he was the one who engaged Mark Zuckerberg and challenged his fellow billionaire into a cage fight for which Mark did agree. Nowadays, all we see are some known stars in different sports who are riding the hype but the two billionaires still cannot figure out a schedule to make all of this happen.

Lol I don’t think Elon Musk has any tricks up his sleeves. I think that he loves to gossip like a teenage little girl all day long on his shitty social media outlet, and decided to say something that was both immature but probably something he completely regrets.

Either way this fight won’t happen. They are both so full of themselves they couldn’t bare the thought of losing. Lot to lose with nothing to gain here really.
1142  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 16, 2023, 09:07:46 PM
For me, I’ve been working towards helping others in life. I became a financial advisor because I wanted to help others, truly help others and make a difference in peoples lives.

A big part of me feels that I failed. I found out about bitcoin when it was around $150 a coin, or so, and I should have bought enough to have become incredibly financially wealthy. What would I have done with that wealth today? Open and animal sanctuary. That’s my dream. That to me would be the ultimate act of financial freedom. I donate to animal charities all the time, but I want to one day become the charity by opening my own sanctuary. It’s a dream I’ll never let go of.
1143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has already campaign for itself on: July 16, 2023, 09:03:35 PM
I don’t think that any of us ever thought that teaching people (or kids) about bitcoin was even ever  about convincing them that they should be using it. I think it had more to do with the fact that it’s confusing for most and that education was/is important, just like it is with anything in life worth learning about.

Sure in time (some) people will learn anything if it’s popular enough, but that doesn’t mean you should continue to educate.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: July 16, 2023, 08:59:18 PM
Justin Jefferson might not be good to draft for this season. Yes, Kirk Cousins said it is okay for him not be included in Justin Jefferson's list of top 5 quarterbacks in the NFL. However, Cousins will show his real feelings on the field hehehehe. No throws for Justin on 2023 hehehe.
While sometimes this can be disregarded as an irrelevant comment, how many times we have seen good players defending their subpar QBs even if deep down they know they are lying to the media? The fact Jefferson took the opportunity to take a shot at Cousins with his rankings tell us he is not happy with him either, after all he could have easily excluded Rodgers due to his age from the list and add Cousins as a friendly gesture.
I guess you should always try to hype up your guy, but let's be honest Cousins isn't really all that good. He chokes in primetime games and the Vikings were in way too many 1 score games last year. He's top 12 in the league but not top 5 and the only 1s that should consider putting him in their top 5 are his own receivers.

Cousins isn’t also all that bad. There’s plenty of quarterbacks in the NFL whom are much worse than Kirk who are still starting quarterbacks in the league. Cousins doesn’t have to be good enough to win a championship in order to give Justin Jefferson elite value, he’s just got to be good enough to be able to get him the ball well enough to do his thing, which he is.

Looks like Titans are signing DHop. Doesn’t do me any good for my Treylon Burks pick this year in Dynasty.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: July 16, 2023, 08:55:52 PM
Im not sure what part of the world you come from, but there are absolutely plenty of places on this planet where people are making enough money they there is extra money that can be spent that can be considered “money that one can afford to lose”.

So I have to say I completely disagree with your assessment OP.
1146  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: July 14, 2023, 12:32:34 AM
Personally I have always despised twitter.  Mainly I disliked it because anytime I got on, I felt like it was just complete disarray. It's very poorly set up.  It's hard to find things, and I just can't stand the layout.

But now that Elon has taken over, it's even worse.  He's constantly tweeting absolutely idiotic childish moronic shit.

I mean it's hilarious that people still think of him as some sort of real life Tony Stark.  Please, he's not invented a single thing in his life.  A few days ago on Twitter he tweeted " Zuck is a cuck ".  The man is a child, and I wished he just go away. I'm currently trying to delete my twitter but can't figure out the email I used. Grrrr
1147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler's SEC sues Crypto Influncers and posts on his Twitter as propaganda on: July 14, 2023, 12:28:32 AM
I haven't looked real deep in to the situation but I can say that I'm glad he put all of these scumbags on blast.  There's nothing more sickening to me than rich "influencers" (which the term makes me want to puke) who either knowingly or unknowingly promote these ponzi schemes.  Floyd Mayweather is probably the best example.  What a scumbag pos human being his it.  I can't stand any of these people you listed, and it's unfortunate that they didn't get more severe punishments.
1148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My personal savings now I will invest in Bitcoin on: July 14, 2023, 12:25:19 AM
What is DPS?

PLEASE DON'T TAKE ADVICE FROM RANDOM PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET

I keep seeing posts like this and it scares the hell out of me, because the amount of idiotic shit I see people say as "advice", is overwhelming.  You need to meet with a financial advisor, someone who's licensed and credentialed, and someone who can provide help in what sounds like a tough situation.

As I have many time before, I'll open my DM's to help you with your financial plan if you'd like.  I'm a long time advisor, who's fully licensed across the board.  I'm happy to help.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How real? That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: July 14, 2023, 12:21:17 AM
I'm from the United States and as many of you know whom aren't from here, football (soccer as we call it) is really not all that popular.  It is as a kids game in grade school and high school, but on a professional level it's just not even close to our main pro sports.  What I'm wanting to ask, being someone who's not real well versed, why is FIFA allowed to remain in place as it has?  I mean everyone on the planet knows FIFA is as corrupt as it can possibly get...can't something be changed here??
1150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs that indicate you are not addicted to gambling on: July 14, 2023, 12:18:56 AM
I mean do people actually struggle to understand whether they are actually addicted to gambling or not? I feel like being addicted  to gambling is a pretty obvious thing.  If you bet too much, lose too much , and don't have the money to be able to do so, and end up neglecting your retirement plan monies as well as you monthly "dues" money (food/shelter etc), then I think you know that you're fine.

However I guess there's always some that need the extra help.
1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 13, 2023, 01:06:45 AM
First of all, what exactly constitutes being a successful gambler?  I mean I do pretty well betting NFL football games. Each season I tend to come out on top a little bit ( I don't risk a whole lot of high dollar bets) but I surely am not an addicted gambler.

There's a lot of people who sadly still have a very conservative view on life, and they have been raised to believe that gambling is bad, no matter what, which is utterly fucking ridiculous.  These people will call anyone who gambles even say 10 bucks a year, a gambling addict.

So I think it just all depends.  So many factors come in to play...does gambling effect your family, you, do you have the salary to justify gambling etc.
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MLB Baseball on: July 13, 2023, 12:58:51 AM
I wish more people around here were interested in Major League Baseball.  There's actually some very iconic and historical things going on right now.

You mention the reds... Elly De La Cruz..boy oh boy!  There's been very few top prospect call ups that I've been blown away by.  Griffey Jr, Alex Rodriguez, Miguel Cabrera, Chipper Jones are the ones that really come to mind for me.  But now, there's another..this guy is the future of baseball. His swag is unreal.  His recent 3 steals in one at bat being only 1 of 2 players to do so since like 1961, incredible! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GT42mCeAII4

All Star Game was boring for me.  I put a few dollars on it but lost.  American League typically wins.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2023, 12:52:23 AM
Ja Morant's best friend Davonte Pack has been arrested.
An 18-year-old was assaulted at Ja Morant's house.
There has been no charge yet against Ja Morant.
Things haven't been going well for Ja Morant lately.

Even though it's not directly him, but rather his friends, it can still reflect poorly on him. He really needs to distance himself from that circle he's currently involved with because his future is at risk. At such a young age, he has the potential to earn much more than he currently does. He just needs to ensure that he sets a good example for others and makes positive choices for himself.

Exactly. He need to find other people to surround him because if that same circle will be with him in the next couple of years, he will not improve as a human being and his status of being an active NBA player will put to risks because his name will always be involved whenever he or his friends did commit something illegal. It will be very unfortunate if his future will be gone just because of his childish act, he need to pull himself together if he still wanted to play in the league for at least a decade.

I mean at a certain point I'm wondering where his parents are at, at this point.  Dude obviously has a lot of growing up to do and needs a positive role model to be around 24/7.  Not gonna lie its gonna be tough for him since that is all he seems to know.  He is risking it all but he wouldn't be the first nor last person to do that.  Sad.

The crazy thing is that the kid didn't grow up in the ghetto with ghetto parents or no parents at all that didn't give him a proper education and guidance.  From everything I've ever seen written about him, it seemed like he came from a very good family and grew up not poor and in the hood.

He kind of reminds me of the Eminem 8 Mile movie where he rips that one rapper he's battling, calling him out saying "his parent had a real good marriage" and then blasts him on where he went to school, which was a very nice private school, and that his actual name was Clarence lol.. so aka a fake gangster... aka Ja Morant.
1154  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTS- CryptoImperator Lot of Coins (some rarities) on: July 13, 2023, 12:46:59 AM
I have to say, "guy faux" (perhaps related to faketoshi..?) really took me a while  Cheesy

Took me a while as well.  Didn't see it until someone said something, then I was like oh yeah that is the guy faux mask lol.  I love these coins, one of my favorite CI coins.

@Chibi: Guy Faux, very 'murican.  Cheesy
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Fawkes

Lol what do you mean by that, what do you Euro's call it?  EDIT: now I see what you mean lol

I actually refer to it as the Anonymous Mask. I have a slight obsession with hacktivists, and when I first learned about Anonymous Hacking SeaWorld (SeaWorld is a prison for animals, and I encourage everyone to never support captive cetaceans as it's beyond cruel. Honestly any zoo is unless it's accredited/sanctuary) I somehow came across bitcoin at the same time. I think it was mentioned in the article.  Then I found the anonymous mint and their coin that had both the anonymous mask and bitcoin on each side.  That was my first every physical bitcoin...as they say the rest is history.

Thank you Seek3r and Steeley!!!

FYI I have been slammed today..I will be returning DMs shortly.
1155  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Titan Mint Coins- Serious Issue- Titan Mint Bitcoin Coins ***NEW UPDATES*** on: July 13, 2023, 12:37:28 AM
Titan Mint's Website is now simply blank-   https://titanbtc.com/

I was told at one point it would redirect to "tuition.io"

This is what google says about why no information can be seen..

Anyone know what might be going on here with this?

I've been given some updates from some people that I can't share at the moment, but will do so as soon as I can.  I can say this much, people have started taking this much more seriously, and things are progressing.  I will have more to share as I am able to do so.

Tim has access to the coins, as someone has mentioned. Something I think people are forgetting or don’t realize.

A few threads where Tim is pushing for 2FA coins over PK coins, knocking Casascius coins, and being quite misleading.

Very interesting..

1156  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest in Marketing on: July 11, 2023, 09:57:03 PM
Well said and nice write up!  As someone who went to college for Business management with a focus on marketing, I view the world now in this manner and to this day when I look at certain business...I laugh just understand exactly what they are doing right and often times wrong.

Here's one perfect example of the importance of marketing..

Subway...the largest restaurant chain on the planet, having even more stores than McDonalds, has built it's empire of marketing, not food.  Subway is actually trash food. They use low quality ingredients, and tons of additives and preservatives.  Ireland's health dept rated Subways bread and not real bread.  Someone recently did an analysis on their tuna and results came back that there was no evidence it was tuna.  Yet, Subway remains a behemoth.

Why?  Because they market as well as any company I can think of.  Their "healthy sub" campaign that they ran for years, with spokesperson Jarrod ( who turned out to be a pedophile and is rotting in jail) who lost an incredible amount of weight, resignated with people.  I remember a friend telling me "lets go to subway instead of Quiznos, because it's healthier".  I remember laughing.  People are often just that stupid that they can't put two and two together that "oh wait, yeah it is all the same stuff and Quiznos does use much higher quality ingredients, I can lose weight with their food too".  This was all from the power of marketing  This subway marketing effort was a MASSIVE success.  I never understood why no other sub chain did the same thing.

Marketing matters, even if you have a great product!
1157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: risk nothing, you're risking more on: July 11, 2023, 09:46:04 PM
Just keep in mind that bitcoin is still high volatile and speculate when it comes to long term , highly adopted success.  So yes I think anyone with the extra income to spend on riskier "investments" (though bitcoin is inherently NOT one) should spend a portion of their portfolio on it...just don't expect to become rich.  Honestly you need to like and understand the blockchain and how it all works before making this decision just period.

Invest in a diversified manner, if you have the extra money outside of your traditional investments, then sure...take some riskier investments on.  ( I see bitcoin as something differen't, for me it's all about how it changes money transacting and freedom.  "profits" are great, but secondary).
1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 11, 2023, 09:41:26 PM
I've seen Tyson Fury fight a few times and he's always a lot of fun to watch, but I don't think I can say I've ever seen Francis fight before.  I'm curious if anyone who's been a big boxing fan for a long time can tell me, are any of these recent heavyweights anything like the heavyweight studs from back when (Tyson, Evander, Lennox Lewis, Foreman, of course Ali etc)?

I kinda stopped watching closely because for many years it had seemed that they were simply nothing comparatively.  A buddy of mine, natu visinia, was a pretty solid heavyweight so I would watch his fights, but he was just too old at the time to be great as he fought UFC before boxing. Otherwise no heavyweight has just really grabbed my eye.  Will we ever see one of those again?

1159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 11, 2023, 09:30:44 PM
I'm happy for them, typically (if I think they are a good human being).  Of course like I imagine with most people do, I always wish that it would have happened to me, but then again I rarely play the lottery as when I see people constantly throwing dollars at lotto's /lotto scratch off tickets etc I just think wow what a waste of money overall.. I would rather put a few bucks on a stock or a crypto coin or bitcoin as I know the chance to profit is much better.

But, you can't win if you don't play!
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 11, 2023, 09:26:34 PM
Considering Wemby is a 7'3+ Center that has a great ball handling and shot, I have to say the risk of getting injured is there as well. So, I am guessing they are aiming at making his core more powerful, and his legs more powerful along with his knees.

Normally tall players get injured a lot easier, he is a skinny dude as well which means that there is a chance he could get injured a lot easier. So instead of making him play at summer league, maybe they will end up with him training his body instead, he is already talented and making him shoot more shots doesn't really make him all that much better, his body being trained to withheld 82 game season would be much more important at this moment and if he plays 70+ games on his rookie season I will consider that a huge success.

Concerns that Victor may be injury prone are justified as he is too skinny for his height. In fact, he weighs about as much as the average point guard and shooting guard, which means that even small forwards can pressure him in the paint. As I see it, the optimal weight for Victor should be 265-285 pounds to dominate the paint and be less prone to injury.
So he should really spend a lot of time in the Spurs' gym during the offseason.

Due is 19 years old.  It's not easy for a 7'5 19 year old to gain weight, but now he's in the NBA, the worlds premier basketball league.  He's going to have access to the best sports medicine and athletic training on the planet.  These NBA teams spare no expense when it comes to making sure their players are at peak condition.  He will have world class dedicated trainers and nutritionist who will work on growing his body in to a mans form..I'm he's a kid, dude isn't even out of his teenage years.

Kevin Durant was and is super skinny, how'd that works out?
