1141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why knowing what slippage means could save you $400,000 on: May 11, 2019, 05:40:21 AM
The post is humorous I mean yeah it is an expensive lesson but honestly this guy is insane,
Why would he even trade when he doesn't know how it works ,
This is why you should study first before entering the market .
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB time to buy ? on: May 11, 2019, 04:59:58 AM
hi guys
do u think 0.003 BTC is a good price to invest in BNB because a few days ago BNB hit 0.0048 BTC
i think current price seem good to invest  Roll Eyes
Tomorrow they will open deposit and withdraw function,  I think the price of BNB will decrease a little because users would sell and send their coins(tokens) to other exchanging sites. Maybe you should wait until tomorrow to buy.
I think you are right OP should wait till Binance open their deposit and withdrawal function.
The hack issue could make them lose some trust but I doubt it just saw a thread or article about binance having a strong community so for me we couldn't know if it would fall or not.
1143  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Sent money to old deposit address - Cryptopia refuses to deposit it on: May 11, 2019, 03:53:14 AM
Hello! I successfully deposited Litecoin 3 times to address LNonYyjqv26DWzZPCpYsaquuxXJT9XGCiH. 17 d ago  I sent another deposit 12.90700351 LTC. It was not deposited. When I contacted Cryptopia I was informed that
Quote
Following the events of January 14th the Cryptopia website was placed in maintenance to prevent any further issues from arising. Any users who sent deposits more than 24 hours after we announced the security breach (15/01/2019 12:00AM NZT) will not be recovered.  This means that if you sent funds after 16/01/2019 12:00AM NZT we will not be recovering those funds for you.
I wonder, why Cryptopia can not refund that LTC, if they have private keys?

This is why you should always pay attention to the news and their announcement.
It is an expensive lesson for you and this would be a great example for all of those user's that are lazy enough to know or read the announcements.
They have made a public announcement yet you ignore it so it is basically your fault.
They could retrieve it but they are too busy maintaining the website and other things so I think you should just move on.
1144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin the future or just a precursor on: May 11, 2019, 02:11:03 AM
sometime in 2017 I joined the crypto space . I started out with faucets and other freebies which were the rave of the moment as of 2017. My first use of bitcoin to perpetuate transaction left me amused. The ability to perpetuate operations with people from all over the world without any form of geographical legislation or censorship, at low cost and without exorbitant fees often associated with other means of remittance I.e western union really endeared me to bitcoin..
My love for the bitcoin network was short lived because as the valuation of the bitcoin currency continued to rise, so also the adoption and utilization of bitcoin. This rise in use brought about expensive transactions fee and delay in confirmation of transactions. In my opinion, at some point, it was even worse than the traditional finance and remittance system of the world... Then I tried out the Ethereum blockchain and I was immediately astonished by its durability and high transaction performance but likewise increased usage of the ethereum blockchain and its exceptional support for tokens brought about clogging and sad decline in performance as at then..
Then I had to reconsider using bitcoin for my transactions, especially with the lighting network.. Well the market has gradually began to show signs of an uptrend and it's expected that more users join the bitcoin network?Do you still see bitcoin as the future of blockchain payment and  remittance or is it just a precursor to another blockchain startup which will shake the finance and remittance system of the world?
Feel free to share your thoughts and in-depth analysis of the subject matter..
I still believe that Bitcoin is the future of blockchain payment ,
It is still upgrading and adopting to the huge number of people using it.
Just take a look back in 2017 when it is being pump due to the huge number of investors getting in,
The transaction was huge so there was so many delays but now that the system have adopted it is back to normal.
1145  Other / Off-topic / Re: How can I make a bank account with fiat? when I have no fiat? on: May 11, 2019, 01:47:14 AM
The only way which I can see for you is get payment with cryptocurrencies. Then you will face with bank account issue again. Or you can sell your cryptocurrencies without bank.

Yes bitcoin could solve that, if they accepted the fees in bitcoin. Well they don`t accept cash to pay the fees, They said on the phone they only accept cheque or bank transfer
This is the reason why many people prefer crypto rather than bank.
It is much more easier to create a crypto wallet than a bank account,
And we could use crypto for saving funds this is made for us to make it much more easier.
Not all people could use bank but everyone is free to use crypto .
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Even former bears are switching sides on: May 11, 2019, 01:01:49 AM
Apparently Vinny Lingham and Tone Vays are bullish, Vays for the short term, and Lingham thinks the bull is knocking on the door.

https://chainbulletin.com/vinny-lingham-announces-that-the-next-48-hours-will-decide-if-the-bull-market-is-back/

Vinny failed at calling the top, Vays failed with his prediction of a longer crypto winter. Do you think they are correct this time?
So you would still believe in TA'a and their words?
TA are just predicting too the only difference between a TA and FUDster is their followers and their information.
So don't depend or rely too much on TA's .
1147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New billionarie list if bitcoin exploded on: May 11, 2019, 12:36:54 AM
Roger Ver looking at this list probably saddens him or at least he don't regret his decision. While looking at list, here I am a total shrimp that doesn't have much.   Grin

I think this stats was already made before and I've read about Bulgaria that they hold that much and for the US gov't, probably those bitcoins are stored on/by CIA. Well that list doesn't include the cold/hot storage that big exchanges have.
Yeah the exchanges surely have more and for sure there are some unknown billionaire,
We don't know maybe there are some who just doesn't want publicity but also have a huge amount of Bitcoin.
1148  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Idea needed for my situation on: May 10, 2019, 07:45:51 PM
I have around 5k+ USD worth of bitcoins and ethereum in my personal wallet. I have some financial commitments in next 2 months, so I want to utilize this money make it as something higher that amount I am holding.

I am planning to take that fund to binance and convert half of the bitcoins as USDT and half portion as BNB?
Will it be work bigger in some weeks or months? Then deposit and withdraw are suspended on Binance, so which exchange will be I need to choose to do the same idea above!

Please give me the best suggestion which you feel good for my situation.
Unless you know possibly everything about trading, do not step into it. I have lost half of my bitcoins because I was an uneducated trader. Since then I am hodling my bitcoins.

My suggestion is to hodl unless you are very sure about doing anything else with it.

Edit:
Also spend sometimes on Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion. I can assure you that you will learn a lot about bitcions however I can not guarantee you that you will not hear about some NSFW teams and graphics. Such as:
Green dildo
Hot sexy girls
fake tits
buttocks
Liverpool
sex

I can't remember anymore. Getting too old LOL
I agree you could just lose more in trading if you couldn't do it properly.
I suggest that you should take some time to think about it and learn some tips on trading.
There are so many trusted exchange not just binance .
1149  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: can blockchain.com be hacked? on: May 10, 2019, 06:33:57 PM

Probably. Anything online can be hacked, it may be in a different way like if there is someone in their office who suddenly got crazy and stolen funds in it. Or someone who is eats and breathes how to penetrate their servers, I always believe the security expert who said every thing that is online and are on the live server can be hacked.
I strongly agree with you that is why they are always upgrading their security system,
Because anything online is prone to hacking "no system is safe" when it comes to the internet .
That is why I am only trusting my funds or crypto on a hardware wallet.
1150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poker & Bitcoin on: May 10, 2019, 05:35:39 PM
There is already plenty of gambling website that accept Bitcoin when it comes to poker.
But the one that I always see is PPP poker I haven't used it but seem's that there is a lot of player on that app.
Try searching at this section and also this section .
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ITO] EXBEGA - EXchange, BEtting and GAmbling on: May 10, 2019, 05:00:45 PM
This look's like a cool project ,But I think I will wait till the gambling site is operating.
I will wait cause I already invested in a gambling token before and up till now their token is worthless.
So I would just wait and see how this goes.
1152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beating HODL by 22+% on: May 10, 2019, 10:59:35 AM
I don't really think that it would be a good idea .
The way I see or understand the strategy is you would buy or sell every one hour right and in crypto in 1 hour a lot of thing could happen.
We couldn't predict what would happen in the market so for me it is risky strategy to do.
I am not against the quick trade I also use it but not every trade could gain profit.
1153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rises very fast! on: May 10, 2019, 10:24:10 AM
Probably due to Fidelity allowing their customers to trade crypto which will help more institutional investors join this ever growing market. The good thing is that negative news like the Binance hack and Tether controversy did not faze it too much and it continues growing organically.
Yeah, It seem's like the FUD didn't get into the Bitcoin investors this time.
Maybe we are just immune to those negative news and didn't really care too much right now .
Most of us are now watching as the price continue to slowly climb up.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UKGC-licensed casinos now stricter in verifying players' age & identity on: May 10, 2019, 09:58:50 AM
Beginning May 7, 2019, all the affected gaming operators should not allow any player to make deposits and play betting games without completing the process of verifying his/her name, age, and address. With this, the three-day grace period given before to new players signing up no longer applies.

The laying down of this stricter rule is part of the commission’s goal to get children out of the gambling sphere. In a report by UKGC, it was found out that the number of children with gambling-linked issues quadrupled in the past two years. Now, there are more or less 55,000 children aged 11 to 16 recorded with compulsive gambling issues.

Source: UK GAMBLING COMMISSION IMPLEMENTS STRICTER IDENTITY VERIFICATION RULE

All online casinos licensed by the UKGC implement the KYC rule, now even stricter. Any thoughts on the changes made by the commission to the age & identity verification process?
It would be a huge help for the parent of those young gamblers.
But for us it would be hard to do it since as we have seen even the one of the greatest and most trusted trading has been hacked.
So it is hard to trust them with our personal information and this could make them lose some customer.
1155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will at least one federal bank starts holding btc in upcoming crypto summer? on: May 10, 2019, 09:08:18 AM
How probable is it? Who is more likely to do this apart from St. Louis Federal Reserve? Will it immediately trigger a bandwagon effect when it happens or it will take time for others to follow?

I doubt if federal banks will ever support cryptocurrency since they are against it. Cryptocurrency had made people forget about banks since using crypto vs bank is far more convenient, time-saving, and cheaper.

It is true and I strongly agree Crypto and banks are agains each other .
Crypto is for those who wants financial freedom who wants decentralized money,
While on the other hand banks wants to be in control so I don't think that they would support it .

However, due to anonymity, who knows whether if such banks are secretly holding bitcoin. It is possible, but I doubt if federal banks will ever announce it's support for bitcoin.
This remind me of the "crypto movie" if I am not mistaken there was a scene that his friend told him that banks own a huge amount of Bitcoin.
1156  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: May 10, 2019, 07:18:58 AM
Pretty nice promo they are running, abit pricey for tickets but hey 300k is alot of money so i guess it adds up.

The Lambo is $200k which makes the 0.00025000 BTC tickets very cheap. Although with Bitcoin price going back above $6000 they are getting a little more expensive. You might want to get your tickets early if the bull run starts now.
But if you think about it if you win that prize it would all be worth it.
And you would consider it as a cheap price to pay for a great car.
1157  Economy / Economics / Re: Deflation based currency such as Bitcoin to counter promote economy. on: May 10, 2019, 06:51:56 AM
Currently, all major currencies issued by the government have natural inflation of about 2%.
Bitcoin, on the other hand, is much different, it, in fact, does not have any inflation but deflation.
Bitcoins are created less and less and the number of users does not affect the quantity of creation of Bitcoins.

Inflation on a low level promotes spending while deflation in Bitcoin promotes holding...

My question is, would an economy with a deflation based currency such as Bitcoin work?
It would work but there is no government that would make Bitcoin as their based currency.
We have 21 Million Bitcoin as a max supply and 1 Bitcoin could be divided into small unit called Sats so even if the Max supply has been mined we wouldn't have a problem.
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] [Yahoo Finance] [Metamask+CoinSwitch] on: May 10, 2019, 06:10:31 AM
This is indeed a great news for all of the ETH and erc20 token holders,
It would be so easy for them to trade their token with this partnership.
A great way to easily sell or convert your erc20 tokens into ETH.
1159  Economy / Speculation / Re: the bull run is confirmed. on: May 10, 2019, 04:41:44 AM
I think that it already has begun last month we have seen a great increase and I think it is because of a bull run.
The market has been increasing for some time now and for me it is enough proof that the bull is already running.
1160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How blockchain technology is changing the world on: May 10, 2019, 03:12:14 AM
Blockchain has already started changing the world.
It has been 11 years since it has been created by Satoshi and it has been used by manny other things like OP stated.
Blockchain really helps a lot not just in the internet but also in the real world.
