11401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Exchange to Check the Price? on: January 20, 2015, 02:28:08 PM
I always follow Bitstamp, they don't have the highest volume anymore, but it's a great source.

BTC-E is fair as well.
11402  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Bitcoin and Crypto domains. on: January 20, 2015, 02:22:30 PM
I'll close this thread for the comming months as the market is completely crashed.
11403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin price drop even more? on: January 18, 2015, 04:24:01 PM
the price is already bad we don't need another drop

At this point the whales are just playing and teasing with a few large buys and dumps from time to time.

The thing is..... That we don't know if curren't price is high or low.

I think 99% of the people never expected Bitcoin to go below $200 ever again. But it did.

It looks stable and oversold. But let's see what the next months will bring.

Messi will STAY at Barcelona.

as good he is i think he has to stay at barca to be remembered as one of the greatest ever.  Hes not as good as he used to be so i dont think he'd have huge success in EPL or german league.  He'd still score 20 a season etc.

He's not the kind of player that will succeed in BPL as there he will face defenders that actually know what defending is.

BBVA has barely defenders worth mentioning beside these who play for Atletico and Real.
11405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm fucking out. bitcoin will be over soon..confirmed. on: January 18, 2015, 04:08:24 PM
Don't let your emotions take over.

I'm sure once the price is rising to +$400 he will be back faster than some people can fart.

11408  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Friday Big News!!! Want to buy something on e-bay with bitcoins? Now you can. on: January 16, 2015, 03:19:27 PM
WTF?!!

Bitstamp just peaked at $384 might that be because this article?

11409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can u still have reasons to keep ur bitcoin? on: January 16, 2015, 03:10:02 PM
It's a great opportunity to buy coins at such price. It's an amazing new years present!

While people were selling their coins below $170 I was enjoying scooping up these coins.

I hold my coins because I trust the technology behind Bitcoin.

And probably most important for me is that I own 100% of my Bitcoin value. Banks can't control that. Grin
11410  Economy / Economics / Re: If your investment looked like this... on: January 16, 2015, 02:39:07 PM
Looks like everyone is broke, nobody is buying...

What are you looking at?

A lot people have already bought and will buy more when they gain confidence to do so.

But the most funny thing is... Many people will start with buying once they see the price is going up.

For them that's the sort of confidence that they need Cheesy
11411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cold storage - HACKED easily on: January 16, 2015, 02:28:18 PM
media do a horrible job on stories so if they get hold of this (when), price will dump

Nothing new...

If people read that article, and I mean READ that article, then it's more funny than being informative.

Average joe might think Bitcoin is hacked, broken, exploded, killed, etc. That's the sort of group of people who do believe these articles.

In a nutshell : Nothing is 100% safe.
11412  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's always sharp dips on: January 16, 2015, 02:13:43 PM
At this point most of the panic is gone. Which is a good thing.

Whales are trying to trigger panic sellers by dumping +2K BTC in one go, but again it's recovering quickly and stays above $200.

Bitcoin is sold down way too much. It won't stay like this for long.

If you review the markets thoroughly then it's almost certain that some big players are accumulating.
11413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much Bitcoin do you think you would need to hold to become a millionaire? on: January 16, 2015, 02:03:45 PM
At least 1,000 BTC.

People who say 50 BTC is enough are a joke.

That means the price will be $20,000 at a certain point.  Cheesy

2012 called, they're laughing at you for saying 1000 BTC will ever be enough.  Wink

That was then. Back then it had a market cap not even worth mentioning.

There are way too many dreamers at this point.

I think $2000 to $3000 per coin is already quite a high prediction.

United is a very poor team, that's the only conclusion I can have looking at their current season.

They started off shit, picked up and got stronger and now have gone back to shit again. It's going to be an interesting title race between Chelsea and Man City and both have under performed against some poor teams lately so could go either way. They're playing each other in two weeks as well so that will be a very interesting game. Chelsea are at home so I think they'll take it.

LVG is a king in talking and talking, he's not showing anything but his big mouth.

He wasted a good bit of money on players he don't need. For example Shaw. ManU paid something like 35 million for an average player with too much weight....

For that money he could pick up 2 solid and huge defenders from French League1...

I hope he now invest the money with at least more sense. Otherwise they will even struggle with getting place 4.
11415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin friendly banks? on: January 16, 2015, 01:19:23 PM
Where I live it's a bit mixed.

A few banks see it as something that can evolve into something useful.

And others just try to ban every transaction related to Bitcoin.

I tend to say it's 50% ignorance and 50% not willing to change the current way of working.

11420  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did the Bitstamp fiasco kill Bitcoin? on: January 14, 2015, 02:30:06 PM
From an investor perspective, putting money into Bitcoin requires an exchange that isn't crooked or incompetent, and has significant volume. There are none left. Of the US dollar exchanges:

  • Bitstamp - two guys somewhere in Slovenia with a mailbox in London who are $15 million in the hole.
  • Mt. Gox - in liquidation.
  • Bitfinex - "The Bitfinex trading platform is currently in a beta phase (testing phase). The platform is owned and operated by iFinex Inc. (Bvi), and during this final phase the platform is being prepared to operate under a fully licensed model."
  • BTC-e - total buy side market depth right now, BTC225.

Everybody else in USD is too tiny to matter.

The China exchanges matter, but the volume there is widely assumed to be fake, and the prices may also be fake.

Bitstamp was the last exchange that appeared to be legit, and they blew it.

Bitstamp made it very hard for itself by making it apparently so easy for the hacker(s) to steal 14% of their total coins.

We all know that exchanges and services using and storing Bitcoin are a huge target for hackers.

But a theft with such size is making even Bitcoiners lose trust in current exchanges.

At least Bitstamp came back and sort of fixed what was broken. It will take time for people to gain their confidence back.
