11441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 205: Alvarez vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: October 13, 2016, 06:15:11 AM
Alvarez will be bringing his girl the red panties after this fight....Alvarez will put McGregor on his back and keep him there the entire fight....But, I hope McGregor wins because it'd be nice to see Diaz with a belt for a change.  McGregor only has two good rounds in him and Alvarez will have this guy so exhausted by round three that McGregor will have to bring his pillow to round four if it gets there.  The matchup predicts Alvarez in three. However, if the powers that be had a say, McGregor would win the belt to set up the BIG money fight for McGregor vs. Diaz number III! <----You know how it works.

Alvarez in round three.

Haha, yes that's how it sometimes works.  Yeah I agree with you though.  A McGregor victory would be much much better for the UFC and the fans as there would be more possibilities for exciting match ups.  McGregor vs Diaz III is nice but there's news that Dominic Cruz is also sending feelers to McGregor as posted by bbc.reporter a few posts up.  I would also love to see that fight happen as I'm also a Cruz fan.

McGregor in both fights started to gas out in the third round.  That happened in both fights maybe because he was carrying that extra weight at 170 lbs.  In 155 lbs. he could be faster and lighter but Alvarez could employ the same strategy he used vs Pettis.  Make McGregor wrestle for his life and I have no idea how he would react to that.  And Alvarez is good at boxing too.  Watch his old fights on Youtube.  He's quite good with his hands.
11443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 13, 2016, 02:23:46 AM
This week my Premier League Prediction:

Chelsea 3 VS 1 Leicester City
Stoke City 1 VS 1 Sunderland
West Bromwich Albion 1 VS 2 Tottenham Hotspurs
Arsenal 2 VS 0 Swansea CIty
Bournemouth 1 VS 1 Hull City
Manchester City 2 VS 0 Everton
Crystal Palace 2 VS 1 West Ham United
Middlesbrough 1 VS 1 Watford
Southampton 2 VS  0 Burnley
And super bigmatch with Liverpool 3 VS 1 Manchester United

I hope any surprise like Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspurs lose

I more or less would tend to give most of those matches the same predictions if I was forced to put the scores.  But I disagree with the Liverpool vs Man United game.  I think that match will be a low scoring one.  Maybe 1 - 0 or 2 - 0 for a Liverpool win.
last week english premier league matches finished almost all both team scored.
this time i don't think will happened again , as most of those picks is lookslike both teams will scored.
especially liverpool vs manchester united, i bet both teams not scored and under 1.5 goals.

That's a brave bet.  I assume you got good better odds than usual to make the bets?  But yeah, thinking more about it a 0 - 0 score line is also possible.  I even fancy a United win with a 0 - 1 score line.  That would make the LFC fans go nuts.  I hope to see that happen.  Grin
11444  Economy / Gambling discussion / UFC 207: Rousey vs Nunes Prediction and Info Thread on: October 13, 2016, 12:52:37 AM
Date: Saturday, December 30th

Preliminary Card (Fox Sports 1):  5pm PST / 8pm EST

Dominick Cruz (22-1) vs. Cody Garbrandt (10-0) (Bantamweight Championship)
Fabricio Werdum (21-6-1) vs. Cain Velasquez (14-2) (Heavyweight)
T.J. Dillashaw (13-3) vs. John Lineker (29-7) (Bantamweight)
TBA vs. TBA

Preliminary Card (Fox Sports 1)

Johny Hendricks (17-5) vs. Neil Magny (18-5) (Welterweight)
Dong Hyun Kim (21-3-1) vs. Tarec Saffiedine (16-5) (Welterweight)
Mike Pyle (27-12-1) vs. Alex Garcia (13-3) (Welterweight)
Louis Smolka (11-2) vs. Ray Borg (9-2) (Flyweight)

Preliminary Card (UFC Fight Pass)

Tim Means (26-7-1) vs. Alex Oliveira (15-4-1) (Welterweight)
Antonio Carlos Junior (6-2) vs. Marvin Vettori (11-2) (Middleweight)
Brandon Thatch (11-4) vs. Niko Price (8-0) (Welterweight)

Other

- Johny Hendricks stated that he will retire from MMA if he loses to Neil Magny. (It's not a knock on Magny, more so that Hendricks' career is basically done and he knows if he can't win this fight, he should quit -- he is 1-3 in his last 4 fights, and that one win was him taking Matt Brown down 9 times and winning by decision and not doing much damage at all).

- Matt Brown was expected to face former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Tarec Saffiedine at the event. However, Brown was pulled from the fight on November 11 in favor of a match-up with former UFC Lightweight Championship challenger Donald Cerrone three weeks earlier at UFC 206. Brown was replaced by Dong Hyun Kim on November 16.

- Maryna Moroz was very briefly linked to a fight with Jessica Andrade at the event. On December 7 Moroz was replaced by Invicta FC Strawweight Champion Angela Hill. Hill was then ruled out of fighting at UFC 207 because of a rule in the UFC's anti-doping policy with USADA. Subsequently, promotion officials have not determined whether or not they would attempt to find a replacement to face Andrade, or reschedule her for another event.

- Sabah Homasi was linked to a fight with Brandon Thatch at the event. However, Homasi pulled out due to injury and was replaced by promotional newcomer Niko Price on December 12.

I've been waiting for the price of Factom to rise higher for a while now. Guess I can't keep tying down my funds, I'll short and try my luck with some other coin.

If you are have patiente and won't get liquidated easily, just wait. Factom can go as down as 300, but it will eventually be back up. In a month with m2 release there are definetly oppurtunities for you to close your position without a loss. But ofcourse if don't want to miss other chances, its your choice.

On the other hand, I've been thinking to short dash since it was 197, usually when I do after a drop the price goes back up so I won't touch it even tho the chart tells me to short.

I'm curious what was the fundamental reason why you decided to short sell Dash?  As you can see, I make decision mostly be looking at the charts and see where the price momentum goes relative to the volume and Bitcoin's price movements.  So it's purely technical.  But I'm interested in the fundamentals as well and I want to learn how to trade using it.  I was wondering if you could enlighten us by explaining what are the fundamental issues to watch out for when deciding to go long or short.

11448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 205: Alvarez vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: October 12, 2016, 02:58:56 AM
I'm rooting for McGregor to win so that he could make history but I would have to agree with Clement.  McGregor is far from being a compete fighter as he's skills in the ground, while it's not weak, it's not particularly strong either.  So I think I'm holding my bet for this fight atm and wait for the lines to move.  This fight could be closer to a coin flip than everyone realizes and some could even argue that Alvarez's relentless style and experience could edge out McGregor.  If the odds go higher on Alvarez as the fight nears then I would bet on him.  And I believe it will happen the day before the fight because the casual bettors will be piling in money on McGregor.  But if I could get odds better than 1.80 on the Irishman then I would take it.  But that's doubtful.
11449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Sports Betting Prediction Thread on: October 12, 2016, 01:01:50 AM
Hey guys.  First of all a warning.  I'm making these bets from my POV so if you have any opinions or you think I'm wrong, let's discuss them.  But I suggest reading what I post with an open mind.  Thanks.

This week I have only two bets that I'm really comfortable with.  The first one is the Crystal Palace vs West Ham game this Saturday.  I think Crystal Palace has the edge here because they are at home, they have a decent attacking front with Chadli, Townsend, Zaha and Benteke and also West Ham seems to be struggling in defense.  I don't know how much the international break will affect each team but I assume it would not be that much.  So for a little bit of safety and to reduce variance my bet is Crystal Palace to win, 0, -0.5 at 1.88.

My second bet is in the Liverpool vs Man United game.  This is the most exciting game of the week and everyone seems to be expecting LFC to demolish United since LFC is in form and United is still looking for it.  Imho, in this match, Mourinho will be parking the bus.  He's good at this strategy and used it in various games vs good attacking squads.  He did it in big games with Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid to great effect.  Although I expect United to lose, the scoreline might be 1 - 0.  They will give Liverpool a hard time scoring.  I can already see Blind being positioned at left back again to neutralized Mane.  That would be fun to watch.  So my bet is under 2.5 goals at 2.13

in past few days i have rad that Bastian will leave Manchester and go to USA to play and reading that PSG offers 222 mil for Neymar and for him 42 Mil per year is this normal

we saw that this transfers were enormous but this is absolutely nuts offering this amount of money
Surely he will leave manchester united, not get time for play in team it will him frustration, barcelona will not sell neymar because he will replace messi position..

I don't know why a wonderful player like    Schwenteiger became a shit player    in Manchester United. I thought his career    will be perfect in everywhere. Leave Bayern Munchen is a big blunder, definitely blunder. And for neymar, yeah  i don't think he will leave  Barcelona.  He looks happy in the    team . Became the best trio in the world.

Schweinteiger was already deteriorating at Bayern when they sold him to United.  Why do you think he was sold in the first place.  This remains unsaid by United but I think Schweinteiger has a recurring injury when he left Bayern that they're hiding from the public so that they wouldn't have a hard time unloading him.  I remember watching a Mourinho interview where he was furious when he was asked about Schweinteiger's situation.  Mourinho said something like "if Bayern is angry in the way I'm treating him and since they think he's still a good player, why don't they buy him back?"

I'm not sure if that's really the case but from reading all the news and interviews, that's the impression I got.

11451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Speculation Thread (Charts and Analysis Included ;)) on: October 11, 2016, 12:41:32 PM
The strategy is fine.  I'm willing to take small losses as the wins make up for them giving me a decent margin to gain some profit.  While whipsaws are part of the way I trade, sometimes it gets really frustrating especially when markets go flat.

Edit:  ETC is a short as well.  You can do it on Kraken.
11452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: October 11, 2016, 06:57:41 AM

That's really hard to say until you see the draw in the knock out stages.  What if Bayern Munich drew Barca or Real in the KO stages or the quarter finals?  Luck plays a very big factor in the CL because it's a tournament format.  And the draw at every stage makes it feel kinda like a lottery.

Even if they play against a tough team before the final game it will be no problem for them if they could win ahainst them however both barcelona or real madrid is a tough team to beat even with bayern munich at the full force the chancd to win still lingers around 50% chance or much more less than that

It really depends how in form their team is and if there are injuries with their key players.  There was a reason why Bayern Munich couldn't win under their new manager at that time which was Pep Guardiola.  He stayed there for three years and brought with him new tactics, strategy and a new philosophy.  But still no CL trophy.  And even the best in the tournament which are Barca and Real are both not a sure bet.  This is because of the tournament format and the draw made before the KO stages and the quarter finals.  Luck becomes a bigger factor in that format.

DASH/BTC:  Is it Time to Go Short?  ... No really, is it?

Here's another signal to go short that I'm sitting my hands on.  I have made two moves on this that resulted in two small losses.  So I guess the better option for now is to wait for a couple of weeks more and see if the trend down is real by confirming it through the price movement.  And keep in mind that the scenario is changing in the markets as BTC might be on its way up as mentioned from my post above this.  So altcoin shorters be ready.
11454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Speculation Thread (Charts and Analysis Included ;)) on: October 11, 2016, 02:26:55 AM
Not unless China steps in and pumps the hell out of this.  And the current movement looks the same as the one on 2015 when BTC was around 200 - 230 USD.  Check out the chart from August 25, 2015 to October 10, 2015.  That was just before China stepped in and pumped it above 400 USD.  If you're waiting for a pull back it might not come anymore.  It's better to start nibbling at it small and slowly than regret not holding some for the big rise.

Who win Champions League (updated)

Barcelona @4
Bayern M.@4.5
Real Madrid @6.5
Manchester City @11
Juventus @12
Atl Madrid @13
Borussia Dortmund @13
PSG @25
Arsenal @25
Napoli @40
Leicester @40
Tottenham @40
Seville @50

My favorite this year is Bayern but the quote of Manchester city at @11 is very tempting.
i think spanish teams will no longer dominate champion league this season and i do have felt that champion league trophy will belong for Germany team but maybe for Bayern Munich not Dortmund however champion league is very different than local league because too many unpredictable match results

Juventus @12 is a very good bet! Barcelona is overrated @4 I don't think they will win Champions League this year. To me Bayern Munich is the best candidate even if Juventus is really tempting me.

I'm going to the Liverpool vs Man Utd game next Monday, I have hospitality tickets with a 3 course meal before the match. Liverpool is my team & I hope we can destroy Man Utd. Mourinho is an ass hole but he knows how to prepare his team for these kind of games. He will look to play long balls, sit deep & try to hit us on the break or with a set piece.

Liverpool should win, our attack is far superior to theirs but you never know with this kind of games.

no doubt for me to bet on Liverpool they are very good, whereas to the manchester united who was having a bad condition. I hope see Liverpool can win by making many goals. 3-0 for Liverpool sure Smiley
Liverpool has an amazing record when they facing big teams on this season, but I'm not sure Man United is considered as a big team nowadays, so they has a chance to win against Liverpool this game Grin No offense for Man United fan.

Hahaha.  Nice one!  Grin

But seriously though, I think Mourinho will be parking the bus vs Liverpool this Monday.  He's known to do that vs good attacking teams and Man United is playing away so the more the chance that he would do that.  I will post my bet on this game in my betting thread later with my thought process, please make a comment if I am wrong or if you agree.

the current look of the liverpool game that is getting better, not just win. but liverpool have always scored a lot of goals.
Klopp really good so far alongside liverpool. If liverpool can get consistent results I am sure they can realize the dream, but we know the liverpool game was always unstable. I hope Liverpool can become the champion, they are very worthy and it took up waiting long.
i think Klopp has make Liverpool playing more attacking and if we compare with Liverpool under Rodgers currently Liverpool play with more effective but may be the main problem for Liverpool is consistensy because sometime they playing better against strong team but sometimes also they were playing bad when they met small teams however Liverpool this season will not playing at europe competitions and i think they must be more focus for league match

No comparison.  Klopp is a way better manager than Rodgers, no doubt about that.  The season when Liverpool finished second under Rodgers was arguably because they had an in form Suarez and Sturridge carrying the team.  Any decent manager could have finished in the top 4 with Liverpool for that season,

Is the whole event even pushing through?  I read on another forum that the event might not go on because the Philippine government wanted to drug test the whole UFC staff that was going over there.  Are they going to another venue?

That is quite easy to say than being done. Klopp is a great coach however he needs to win the league to prove that he is quite good to handle liverpool and to win the premier league it is not going to be easy as it is the toughest league in the world and every team is almost equal which makes it pretty hard
it's been over than 20 years since Liverpool win the league trophy and after that with different coaches Liverpool was never did it again although Liverpool has got champion league in 2005 but that is not enough because fans and all the players want EPL trophy again and their legend Steven Gerard also says he has regret because cannot carry Liverpool win EPL trophy and if Klopp could made Liverpool win EPL i think that is looks like dreams come true

Yes, i think his dreams will come true in this match. I have doubt that Manchester will win this game. Becasue compare to Liverpool their performance and the co-ordination b/w the players is not up to mark.So the Liverpool have a lot of chance to win this cup. I hope they will win and I will go with Liverpool.

Same idea here.  But I would like to point out that Liverpool is kinda weak in set pieces from corner kicks.  Man United could take advantage of this by causing Liverpool to concede corners.  I think Rashford, Martial or Lingaard could just be the key players to do this.  Not to mention Ibra, Mata and to some extent Pogba.  The game vs Leicester has shown that United can be dominant in offensive aerial duels.  I hope to see it in their match this weekend.
