11441  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Naughty Cams - Naughty Girls On Webcam on: May 26, 2017, 06:56:10 AM
Do you have to work through payment processors or can you buy tokens anonymously? Direct payments? I hate it when sites use services that can link your ONLINE activity with all these AML/KYC requirements. Legal porn sites should not have to track people's private identities. ^hmmmmm^

Can you share the reason why this is done?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3202851/Ashley-Madison-customers-exposed-Hackers-finally-posted-details-cheating-spouses-use-adultery-site.html

Examples like the one above, should protect people's identities < married or not > You private business, should not be available to hackers in centralized databases. ^grrrrrrr^
11442  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Windows or Linux for Wallet Software? on: May 26, 2017, 06:17:21 AM
By the looks of it, the NSA tools that were leaked are mostly targeting Windows operating systems and these Malware attacks and Ransomware are also predominantly on Windows. I bought several second hand computers and notebooks and use them for different tasks.

I have a bootable Tails {Linux based} DVD that I clean boot with to do some of my Bitcoin related tasks. < This method, reduce the risk of having spyware and malware and keyloggers being installed and collecting data of everything I do >

I also use one to create paper wallets < This one will never connect to the internet again >

Do not use one OS, try multiple operating systems for different tasks. ^smile^
11443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 years ago... you could have earned almost $15,000 at today's value in 3 sec... on: May 26, 2017, 06:08:02 AM
I was not around at the time and always thought Gavin only gave away his own bitcoins. Now I see someone posted that they donated 500BTC towards Gavin's faucet back then. What would be nice is if Gavin could reveal the total amount of bitcoins that they distributed to faucet users back then. It should show the Blockchain evidence, so that we can check how many of those coins have been used over the years and how many are still unused in cold storage. ^smile^

Damn, this can make some good stories, if people are just willing to share.

The day when Freebitco.in FREE ROLLS reach 1 or 2 Satoshi per hour, we will kick our ass that we did not use it more. I guess the price will be between $4000 to $5000 per bitcoin when it reach those levels. ^smile^

11444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lets see how many of you are buying this time? on: May 26, 2017, 05:54:38 AM
High prices scare people, because they think that those prices are the upper turning point for this spike in the price. If we can sustain this extreme volatility for a week or two, we might find that more people will get used to this < like we are > and then start buying at these prices.

I have a gut feeling that this is not just a temporary spike in the price like last time. The Asian markets have always had a huge influence in the price, and they have been quite for a while now. We might see some prolonged volatility until these Chinese exchanges have sorted out their problems. ^hmmmmm^
11445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirming the unconfirmed transactions. on: May 26, 2017, 05:47:53 AM
Pay higher fees to get it confirmed more quickly...

This is the worst advice you can give to people. Only miners will give people that kind of advice, because they profit from this scaling problem. < swimming in high miners fees > If I had the power and the money, I would get rid of the whole bunch and fund massive decentralized mining alternatives to counter their greed.

To answer your question OP, I think running a full node and joining a pool that supports a realistic scaling solution will help at this moment. ^grrrrrrrr^
11446  Economy / Speculation / Re: We're reaching $3,000 soon! on: May 26, 2017, 05:42:00 AM
If you were around the previous time when we had a spike like this, you might remember how active this forum were and the optimism we had around here. People were making the same predictions and everything fell flat soon after that. Yes, it is nice when the price goes up like this, but we should know that this is only temporary.

You should not sell your house or use all your saving to buy bitcoins, because you are clouded by dreams of $10 000 bitcoins that might not happen. Stay Calm, step back and think clearly. ^smile^
11447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Well, I've been a Segwit supporter for a while now but... on: May 26, 2017, 05:35:43 AM
The developers and the people behind them do not care what we think. They have their own hidden agendas and if our goals with Bitcoin goes along with their agenda, it would just be a bonus for them. I have been reading endless posts about people's opinion on this matter and cannot grasp, why people might think that our opinion would matter to greedy and power hungry groups with hidden agendas. ^grrrrrrr^
11448  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible big Crash coming within 10 days on: May 25, 2017, 07:28:39 AM
If this is true, I want to buy shares in your crystal ball. ^smile^ You have to remember this technology is still relatively new and very disruptive in many areas. < remittance / point of sale / exchanges / traded as a commodity > So if one country starts to accept Bitcoin like Japan just did, the price will explode.

Mass adoption will have huge influences on the daily price. ^smile^
11449  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: If you had 50.000$ what Bitcoin project would you do? on: May 25, 2017, 07:20:35 AM
I will start a novelty CAM girl site for amateurs, like one of the forum members have suggested. People auction off their own striptease for bitcoins. The highest bidder, gets the spoils. ^smile^ - 80% of the money goes to the stripper and I receive 20% for hosting the site and paying my salary. < Yea, I will be the pimp >

How difficult can it be. ^smile^ I think I would call it, "Strip4Bits"
11450  Economy / Speculation / Re: WARNING: Don't get REKT just HODL on: May 25, 2017, 07:13:40 AM
The carrot is there with these high prices. The clever investor will sell some bitcoins to generate fiat for later and hodl the majority <80%+> to profit later. You always need to generate some fiat, to enable you to buy when the price correction have taken place and cheaper coins are available again.

I play this game like that and it has always paid out good profits in the long run. ^smile^
11451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leading Japanese ATM manufacturer Oki gets into Bitcoin ATM Business. on: May 25, 2017, 06:09:15 AM
Is this the same company that manufacture printers? If it is, I am very exited about this. We still use some of their OKI dot-matrix printers in some of our offices for old legacy systems and after all of these years, they are still going strong. The quality of workmanship on those old printers are much better than the shit that are being mass produced today.

If they can build these ATM's with the same quality standards, then we will buy some of them. ^smile^
11452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin job or manual labour in crack city? on: May 25, 2017, 05:53:39 AM
""(while smoking some weed to keep me alive)""

I looked at this and thought to myself, people are not allowed to drive whilst they are under the influence of any kind of drugs or alcohol, and should this not be applied to people using a computer too? The drugs affect your decision making and this is why some people get scammed easier than other. < pause and think about that >

I would suggest that you stay away from your computer, after you used weed. Yes, some people doing hard labor might work better under certain conditions when they use weed, but making sound financial decisions are not one of those scenarios. ^smile^
11453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: May 25, 2017, 05:40:40 AM
Yes, wealthy people can make a difference :

~ If they convert some of their wealth into Bitcoin, the price will go up and everyone will benefit.
~ With Money comes power and influence - If Bill Gates say something good about Bitcoin, people listen.
~ Rich / popular people have resources that might improve Bitcoin. < They might pay developers to improve the code >
~ They have some influence with politicians. < Laws and regulations might be more positive towards Bitcoin >
~ They have influence with banks. < Banks are currently trying to sabotage Bitcoin >
~ They own most big businesses and might influence shareholders to accept Bitcoin in their Malls/shops/services.

So yes, they can have a huge impact on where Bitcoin can go in the future. ^smile^
11454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment, but never a global currency on: May 25, 2017, 05:32:14 AM
Bitcoin will never become a 100% global currency, so just forget that. This pipe dream of Bitcoin becoming a global currency, is impossible. People and countries cannot even come together on things like climate change and cultural differences, so why would they accept Bitcoin as a reserve currency?

80/20 will be with us, as long as there are capitalist systems in this world. ^hmmmmm^
11455  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Chinese come back.... Moon? on: May 24, 2017, 11:08:36 AM
True, but I think this will have less of a impact as was previously speculated. You have to remember, Bitcoin users just moved over to other platforms, when the Chinese government started to intervene. You can say, they went under the radar for a while.

The Chinese government should not have been that aggressive, but I think the Chinese Bitcoin users handled it very well under the circumstances and they are moving forward again. We will see a lot more of this in the future, this is only the first round. ^sad^
11456  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mining farm ICO on: May 24, 2017, 06:17:02 AM
Russia? How certain are you that the Russian government will not ban Bitcoin & Crypto currencies? They have been hot and cold on the subject for years now. The two sides within the Russian government is not talking from the same mouth. We have been seeing huge shifts in statements that has been made, on the one hand they are banning it and the next moment they give out good vibes. ^confused^

Political uncertainty is a big business killer. ^hmmmmm^
11457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Largest Czech online retailer accepts Bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 06:07:37 AM
First Japan came on board, now the Czech Republic and also Russia < in a way, with them you never know > I hope this positive trend will spill over into other countries like India. People should just remember to support these businesses, when they do this. If you do not buy with bitcoins, they will stop supporting it.

Use the ATM's, convert the fiat you would have spend into bitcoins and rather pay with that. Keep 80% of your bitcoins in cold storage and spend 20% to support the Bitcoin merchants and services who are supporting us. ^smile^
11458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Perceptions about Bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 05:58:08 AM
Always remember this, when people confront you with those type of statement >> Bad News, Sell Papers <<

The media and websites attract people with bad news, not good news. The only time something good is reported is when the Bitcoin price reach a record high. So the general public is bombarded with bad news and record high prices. This is something that they cannot understand, so their response will be defensive < eg. Bitcoin is a Ponzi & Bitcoin is mostly use for crime >

When people react like this, it is just a natural reaction based on fear of the unknown and blown up FUD being spread by the media.
11459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch cinemas using bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 05:27:54 AM
Back in 2015 this was big news, but things might have changed a bit since then. I know some merchants who started accepting Bitcoin has stopped, because there were not enough business to support for it. If we want services and merchants to continue supporting Bitcoin, we will have to use Bitcoin for their services.

Can anymore say if they still pay for movies with bitcoins?
11460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 05:23:26 AM
The same thing was said about the internet and now people use the internet more for legal business than crime. All technology has a "dark" side. Telephones are used to harass and exploit people, but most telephone calls are legit. Do we throw away all telephones, because a small percentage of people use it for crime? NO... The good will triumph in the end.

Do not listen to the government shills, they have reason why they want Bitcoin to fail. ^grrrrr^
