From $900 all-time high price have fallen to $600. How deep do you think correction will go?
By my opinion it will be $500-600.
It didn't even drop to the daily low. It's not like we wiped out a month of gains. This is just normal trading but since we are in higher numbers is feels dramatic. Funny thing is it has already rebounded to $800+. But then again, we all new it would slingshot back up now didn't we! Just need another day of deposits added to the exchanges. Does anyone not think it will be over $1000 (MtGox) in the next 48 or so hours? i think i'm the only one. |

Everything I read is literally bullshit, still nobody can explain why we went from 3000 to 7000 in 26hs
its funny i predicted this exact market behavior would happen, months ago. i should dig up that post.. i call it " the dash for digital cash " you have to understand that USD can still buy things and their are early adopts.... that's your explanation? Can you do a better job of explaining why that SHOULD NOT have happened? We just had a US Senate meeting that basically legitimized Bitcoin. Yes I can: Bitmit went bankrupt, Silkroad seized, Wordpress silently stopped accepting bitcoin, some revelations about how nasty is part of the Bitcoin Foundation, BitInstant still and forever down, more banks freezing accounts The US Senate didn't legitimize anything, what are you talking about?? Wordpress stopped accepting bitcoin? |

There lies the explanation to this mania. yeah well that still doesn't explain why we went from 3000 to 7000 in 26hs, and also seems like the only thing you can do now in China with bitcoin is paying some cloud service...

Even the biggest bull can't claim that it's not a bubble now, maybe 500 is fair but rising 200 a day makes it a bubble. So top slice at least.

Its easy to fake volume, when many buying chinese, gox whoever create fake/buy sells at higher price. For example most vol around 512 going up simply adding some fake large buy/sell  One way to check is to try and fill say 10,000 btc sell order, today someone sold what 4000 btc in 1 go and price went down to 540 from 900  WAY more then 4000 was sold off today. their are many many markets... |

Just got back from yoga to see my order at 615 on Bitfinex got filled and that I just made another $18k on that trade during my 1 1/2 hour class.
I love bitcoin.

I don't think so. Everybody knows what everybody looks at: price and volume. It is general consensus (wrongfully) that the exchange with the highest volume is the 'leading' exchange. Both price and volume can be easily faked. Make it onto the generic chart indexers, and you have yourself a perfectly orchestrated fake 'leading' exchange. Also, notice how nobody is actually able to access btcchina.com at all, apparently for several days now. volume may be fake, but if you make fake bids, how about they get filled? I never failed in selling my BTC there (now I wish I had failed). lets ask the Chinese if they think their exchange is fake HELLO your MTGOX is the "fake" one. |

Its likely the in the long run no alt coin will out preform bitcoin.
but that dost mean their isn't opportunists in the alts
i like FTC personally, but its hard to say which alt coin will survive and hit critical mass.

Gotta love Bitcoin.
It drops over $300 within minutes in a flash dump and all it will probably amount to is a long bottom wick on a green candle.
Slowed down the assault on $1000 though.
Right, market would probably easily absorb another 5k Sell!? Another 5k sell takes us down just below 600. A 5k buy takes us up to almost a grand. Holy crap, its so thin. Money (both coins and dollars) is being pulled out to sit on the sideline. It is going to take the market either crashing down hard or "crashing" up hard for that bid/ask depth to come back. this is why everyone should expect a crazy volatility market, and not be worried about it, just let the market do its thing. i'm confident we will end up much higher, maybe not tomorrow... |
