11481  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Re: Bitcoin domina Venezuela e Dash tenta ganhar mercado de cripto no país on: October 18, 2018, 05:02:09 PM

11483  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - Because Your Privacy Matters! New Bitcoin Mixer is Launched on: October 18, 2018, 04:13:21 PM
How does this work? You want people to test your mixer with their own 0.001BTC? And if they do, what do they get?

Or are you giving 0.001BTC to the users so they can test it? After all, you don't have any reputation.

If it's the second option, I'm in: 1NinjabXd5znM5zgTcmxDVzH4w3nbaY16L
MixTum's free trial option works in the following way. Customer sends his 0,001 btc to our mixer, we send him 0,001 btc back which were cleansed through the chain of stock exchanges and charge no commission for that. We issue a letter of guarantee for each order / transaction. This is a test drive allowing the customer to check how [banned mixer] works.
The thing is that even if it’s such a low amount (0.001), no one can trust you. Also, what do we get by testing uour mixer? We just lose money (transaction fees) and time. Every other mixer sends a small tip so the user can test the mixer, review and keep the money.
11484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Creating strong password. on: October 18, 2018, 03:51:33 PM
At this point I wouldn't even trust looking at the address bar. It's a lot safer to type it in yourself(or via a browser bookmark). There was this Binance phishing site in the past with the url: biṇaṇce.com. Yes. Take a look at it a bit closer. biace.com. There's a dot under both n's. That's tricky as hell.
Damn. I thought the mainstream browsers (at least Chrome and Firefox) had fixed this issue already. The best solution at this point is bookmark each website and use an extension with an anti-phishing system like EAL or Metamask to make sure you’re in the right website.

Take note that legit and secure website read like this (https:) and not secured website has only like read like this (http:) without letter s. This is the only thing I know about secured or legit website and not secured website. I guess there are many good members here that could explain further on your posts. You may create also a thread for this for the newbies. This is very important for the awareness of the new comers here. This will let them avoid  scam and phishing activities.
This has nothing to do with a "legit" website. Anyone can get a free SSL certificate in 2 minutes (literally) and then have HTTPS in their website.

You shouldn't be looking at the text before the domain but at the domain itself. E.g: If you are on Binance, double check if it's binance.com and not binaence.com or binance.tk; Most phishing websites try to take advantage of the user who type the wrong domain or click at the unknown email with the fake website.

Quote
Incentivizing posting within one or several threads via low effort tasks (e.g. signups or proof of participation for liking, following, subscribing, retweeting, tweeting a single tweet, joining a channel or group, etc.) is not allowed as it falls under the "no altcoin giveaways" rule (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2103687.0):

You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc.

Accepting signups or requiring proof of participation for tasks requiring substantial effort (e.g. signature campaign signups, weekly social media campaign reports, media (videos, images, articles, etc.) bounty signups, etc.) via a thread posted in Bounties (Altcoins) is allowed though.

EDIT: Obviously, participating in such giveaways is prohibited as well.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3953664.0

E essa:
Quote
Anyone posting info from their bounty application (usernames, addresses, etc.) or anything alongside the lines of "joined X", "looking forward to getting X", "thanks for the opportunity", "filled out form", "signed up for X", "applied", "following / liked / retweeted X" when such data is not required or the requirement is against the forum's rules risk having their account banned. These are extremely low quality posts that generate massive amounts of spam, drowning out any legitimate discussion these threads may posses.

11489  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cannot Save Unsigned Tx on: October 18, 2018, 12:51:27 PM
The attack metioned is quite interesting to think about. For example, I use Bitkey in conjunction with an watch-only wallet on Android, where I create the unsigned tx. It could happen that a virus hacks the apk, and creates a new address in the tx, to send the amount to the hacker. But I believe when I import the tx to Bitkey (to be signed) it won't recognize the address (showing that error - Transaction unrelated to your account). Not 100% sure, though. I'd need to test and see.
I actually think that it will change the output address to one owned by the hacker. Thus, if you don't double check the transaction details before signing and broadcasting it, you will send your coins to a different address. No error will show since it's going to look like a normal transaction.
11490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tried to upgrade to copper membership. Did I get scammed? on: October 18, 2018, 02:10:09 AM
After sending the coins, you will need to go to the same page and follow the instructions to “complete” the rank upgrade. Did you do that?
11491  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Blender, anonymous bitcoin mixer on: October 17, 2018, 06:10:29 PM
Is bitblender5iclkw.onion < SCAM a scam/phishing Bit Blender site? I deposited .085 and I have been speaking with support. The TXID for my transaction is here:

2c0aef1a79c51ca0190f49e16a582fd13994ed653edfb695086b9971ad85d68e

The problem seems to be that between this URL: bitblender5iclkw.onion < SCAM and this URL:

bitblendervrfkzr.onion < LEGIT

My deposit addresses are different. Though on both sites I am able to message support and receive answers? I am unable to get a PGP ownership from: bitblender5iclkw.onion but I do have the option to get one from: bitblendervrfkzr.onion < LEGIT

This makes no sense and what I deposited I needed for my electric bill which is about to get shut off.
Only the second URL (bitblendervrfkzr.onion) is legit. That's the only Tor domain owned by BitBlender.

Just because the phishing website is answering your support tickets doesn't mean that they are legit. Anyone can send messages back to you .

Unfortunately, your coins are most likely gone.
11492  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: October 17, 2018, 02:37:49 PM
~
So, just because more Legendary users get more merit than most Newbies, you can safely assume that no one likes Newbies and they won't merit them by any means? Have you thought that maybe it's because there are a lot more Newbies (created in bulk by spammers), which inflames these numbers?

Meanwhile, others only care about their beloved 1 merit to rank up to Jr. Member and keep spamming their bounty entries, which may be the reason why a lot of them only try until they get merited a few times, and when they can go back to their spam, they do it without thinking twice.
11493  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: October 17, 2018, 02:19:33 PM
The fact that they're newbies already fucks them over because no one is going to merit them, and that's it, stuck in a deadlock, not just as newbies, but again and again until they reach Hero level.
No one cares if they are a Newbie or not. I will merit anyone regardless of their rank if their post is good enough. Actually, I prefer to rank up low-rank because it "helps" them.

The problem is that finding a Newbie that deserves even a single merit is a hard task.

Sim meu caro, eu sei.

I think you have been blocked to his forum by posting spam? or not constructive post? or maybe your Ip is a victim of viruses you can pay your account to unblock it I think 0.0001 btc but it's up to you if you are willing to pay for your account because me I pay my account to unblock it because my Ip was a victim of a virus.
Maybe you should stop shitposting and start reading.
11497  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: TIVE UMA IDEIA PARA TRAZER FONTE DE MERITS NA ABA BRASILEIRA! on: October 17, 2018, 12:59:31 AM
"You are a merit source. The next 0 merit you spend will come from your source rather than your sMerit balance. Merit spent from your source will come back in 30 days. Unused source merit is wasted. It is not allowed for merit sources to sell their merit."

Exemplo:

Dia 01/10 - você enviou 5 sMerits.
Dia 02/10 - você enviou 10 sMerits.
Dia 31/10 - você ganha 5 sMerits.
Dia 01/11 - você ganha 10 sMerits.

You can hope and wait as much as you want. Your account will never be "unlocked".

11499  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Mycelium finally releasing Segwit support this month? on: October 16, 2018, 05:16:56 PM
I've found this screenshot on Reddit:

Here is a comment from giszmo on the same thread:

Quote
Yes, as we said again and again, we are working on a segwit release (under the lead of Sergey Lappo) and I just got permission to share some insights what our main road blocks are.

We support many account types and Mycelium has many features none of our current devs ever used for any real world purpose. We currently also lack Trezor Model T and Ledger Nano S to test with (we will shortly get those). How does SegWit play together with our local trader platform? How about [Shamir's Secret Sharing](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamir's_Secret_Sharing) (yes, Mycelium supports that. I don't know exactly how but I guess we should make sure not to break it in case any user has his fortune in this) or BitId (we know that for bech32, message signing is not well defined).

So, for the simplest of cases of creating a new HD wallet, SegWit works. I could record a demo or show your the transactions we created with our tests.
With Trezor One we ran into a UI issue that is quite interesting: Our approach is a mixed mode account. That means your receiving address will change from legacy to segwit compatibility with optional segwit native. (Terminology is another topic. Power users would maybe want to see bech32, BIP84/49/44, P2SH segwit, P2WKH_P2SH or something like that.) So when in a payment situation you can present your bech32 address to the payer and if his wallet doesn't recognize it, you can switch to p2sh with a simple click, without having to switch to a different account. Also when you pay a bech32 address, your change will go to a bech32 address to get more privacy. (If change should go to a legacy address when paying a legacy address is still up to debate. I think the current state is that it would go to p2sh instead.) Anyway, account mixing raises compatibility and standardization concerns. Trezor for example handles your bech32 account as a completely separate account from your legacy account. I can spend in mixed mode or from trezor's perspective from several accounts at a time but it gets confused about the change output and that has some scary consequences for Trezor users: If you spend from one account and the change goes into another of your accounts, the trezor will ask the user to confirm **sending** the change. It does indicate that the change would get sent to the trezor again but when paying $12 with my Trezor I get scared when I have to confirm sending $12000 to another address that I have never seen before even if it says "Trezor #1" below the address. So ... we have to see if Trezor has a good solution for that, how keepkey and Ledger deal with this, if we should reduce privacy on hardware wallets to keep support manageable, if we provide mixed mode as an opt-in for the more techy users etc.

So yes, we are working on it and we probably could release it shortly but to avoid scary moments for certain users we would probably have to polish the release a bit. We still have to test all features with the release candidate. And then there is code reviewing. It's +8500-5300 lines of code to review.

And about the address scheme that will be used:

Quote
bc1 addresses will be part of the initial segwit release. your default receiving address will switch from legacy to p2sh and you can switch it manually to bech32.

11500  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger S Ledger Live? on: October 16, 2018, 05:07:29 PM
But malware could theoretically access these information while your computer is running. If ledger live is then protected by a password, no information can be extracted.

True. But if someone has managed to get malware on to my machine then them knowing the balance of my crypto accounts is probably the least of my worries. Tongue
Doesn't mean you shouldn't worry about your Ledger wallet information leaking.

I don't think there is any downside on setting up a password other than being lazy to write it every time you open the Ledger Live.

More protection = the better.
