11501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transactions - how to reduce fees? on: November 22, 2015, 12:50:05 PM
You should be able to change the fees on the settings on Electrum however it's not recommended unless you know what you are really doing , because if the fees are low then it should be or zero then the transaction may stuck and never get confirmed and it may need few days to come back to you so It's better to leave Electrum make the calculation and set the fees .

11504  Economy / Exchanges / Re: cryptsy what next on: November 22, 2015, 10:56:38 AM
There is shitload of Scam accusations against them and bad reviews lately , they are making people wait to withdraw which makes me think if they are not the next Mt.gox .
My advice to you , is to never deposit into their wallet anymore , try to withdraw and walk away . Things will get ugly I'm pretty sure

tell you something ,,, here we have some idea ,, if they are really scamming why they still didn't close there site similar other
other they suddenly will shutdown there website and finish
but this people trying to do something ,, because they withdraw after long time and almost all people which they have a lot of bitcoin inside they already withdrawal
so if they want to cheat people coin they will not do this ,, they will suddenly stop everything ,, now you can see the vol of coins trading inside ,, very low comparing before , if they will cheat people coins now they will get a little of coins ,,,

I dont think so....

Not letting people withdraw their coins means that they don't actually have them right now which probably means that they got stolen before, beside ... If it's somebody's fault then it's the users fault to be honest , because from the creation of bitcoin and people keep giving warnings about not storing bitcoins into Online wallets or exchanges .

11506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Bitcoin become obsolete? on: November 22, 2015, 09:01:54 AM
Regular people are refused to use Bitcoin or doesn't understand why it's important except for criminals and speculators.
Transaction times are too slow... The list goes on. Everybody I know already know what Bitcoin is but they are not
interested.
So it's a matter of time when central bank(s), government(s) or bank(s) create their own crypto currencies and block chain
based services more advanced than Bitcoin. Same happened with the internet: In the beginning it was free stuff and
small open source projects, now it's completely dominated by few huge companies who collect all the revenues (Google,
Facebook, etc)

So when this will happen to block chain and Bitcoin will become obsolete?

(Please no delusional believers "Bitcoin will replace fiat" type of nonsense comments)

If people are refusing Bitcoin it's because of the media , the media is showing Bitcoin as something bad and if it's used only by terrorists and Darkweb users (to buy weapons & drugs and any other illegal activities) .
Transaction times are instant , It's only the confirmation's that takes time .
Now if central banks & Governments create Cryptoo currencies by themselves as you said ... then it wouldn't make much sense to switch from fiat to digital currency because it will be for sure Centralized and controlled by them which defeats the purpose of using cryptoo currencies on the first place .
Only thing that will make Bitcoin die in my opinion is the price part , more users are coming to bitcoin and more companies are starting to accept , but if at one point miners see that it's not profitable for them anymore .. then we are done .

-snip-
Wow, the case sensitive prefix is very expensive. Might consider buying the case insensitive one. Are these vanity addresses found by your own computer or do you have special hardware for it? I tried with my own graphics card which got me to 7.6-8.0 Mkeys/sec.
Mind sharing your speed?

Its my own machine with a GTX 970 it does ~28MKey/s in save mode (-S) and ~36MKey/s normally. I tend to use the save mode for longer caluclations to avoid crashes over night.

Prefix : 1Omega

"large o" is not a valid char, want 1omega instead?

Yes no problem thank you so much , I don't understand why it's not valid though or it just take too much time ?

OP is more then likely selling a copy of https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1090557.0
His version may be leaked / cracked or contains viruses , so buy it at your own risk and don't cry later .

 Grin
Its not the one you pointed too + i am going to upload virustotal results soon.
If you have the screenshots of the ripper you are saying just share it i will verify that its not the one i am selling.

a GUI doesn't proof anything at all , anyone can make a fake GUI using different IDE's or other softwares .
If you want , I can take a vouch copy and verify that the software works fine etc ... (Note that I have no use for your software because I already bought the one I spoke about above so it's just to see how legit is this) .

11512  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I started earning bitcoins and i need some advices on: November 21, 2015, 03:19:29 PM
I'd recommend to keep all of them , at least this is what I would do with my coins if I were you .
If you don't want to do that then there is few exchanges around like Bitstamp , BTC-E , Bitfinex (those are trusted and well known) I'm not sure about the withdrawal methods though . Or you can use Localbitcoins to meet face to face with the buyer and trade for cash or other payment methods .
Now if you mean something automatic that will sell your coins automatically when the price is high and hold when the price is low then I'm not sure about that but maybe there is some kind of BOTs programmed . But beware you shouldn't download tools that you don't know their source otherwise you may finish losing your coins instead of making profit .

11516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shift - Bitcoin Visa Card - now available in the US on: November 21, 2015, 07:20:59 AM
Too bad it's not worldwide , they could get a lot of customers because they are known already and not like Bit-x & E-coin.io for example .
Still , it's pretty good I suppose since I remember that E-coin don't ship to USA for example and you have to reship to someone so he ship it back to you , so that's a good thing . Hopefully we will see more good news in the upcoming days .
11517  Economy / Economics / Re: Minimum limit for buying BTC on: November 20, 2015, 03:43:47 PM
Do you ppl have some kinda minimum limit for buying bitcoins? I mean for currency.

If I understood you right , you want to know if we have some limits that we shouldn't pass while buying bitcoin ?
I personally don't buy them and all of them are profit from different things (services , sig campaigns , etc ...) so I'd say Ihave no limit , the more the better because if Bitcoin become used by more and more people over the years , it will worth more and owning at least 1 BTC at that time will be more then good .
11518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Installing Bticoincore in Debain on: November 20, 2015, 03:03:04 PM
If i remember correctly, last time i used add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin

Worked perfectly...

I guess that's for Ubuntu and not for other linux versions .

@OP , the post was made one week ago so It should be functional today I don't think it got outdated within one week lol ... So you should tell us the errors you are getting because "not working" doesn't help much .
11519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: November 20, 2015, 01:59:06 PM
I'm not sure how things goes in your country , but in mine you can talk how much you want ... that's not going to change anything at all . All they trust is physical cash in their hands (that's in general) .
Now if we speak about my family , they will probably won't ignore you and hear you talking but that's not going to change anything and for what comes to friends they may only get interested but it won't be enough to make them use it so yeah it's mostly waste of time .
11520  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitAppsEU - Bitcoin Appstore taken seriously on: November 20, 2015, 01:53:13 PM
Wasn't you working with Coinbuddy or something ? I'm pretty I saw this website before with the similar design but another domain extension (I suppose .com)
The idea is pretty good , however it need some advertisement (ads or signature campaigns) so people start using it , If you don't mind .. please make the the developers page functional , this may you help you get funded by linking the developers to their Bitcointalk's profile (it would help so much if those members are high ranked and trusted on the community) .
