Very interesting results, but I do think Bitcoin will still win.

Domain being back up is a great sign. I really can't wait to have thepiratebay back.

Till that time I'm quite happy with kickass.so
11523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Bitcoin pitch? on: December 22, 2014, 01:23:13 PM
Not so long ago I managed to convince some of my family members to use Bitcoin as form of transferring money from one play to the other.

I took the time to tell them what Bitcoin is and how it works. Explained them that it is far more than only the "bad illigal currency" that they hear of in the news.

Not sure if they will continue to use it, but it's a first step. Their main struggle is the volatility, which is understandable of course.

Who wouldn't Grin That's just another huge step to the Bitcoin economy , BTC to da moon  Roll Eyes

You sure?

People will convert their coins into fiat in order to pay bills.

And if a company accepts bills to be paid in Bitcoin, then they just get fiat from the payment provider.

Either way, the Bitcoins will get sold.

It is all about liquidity.

If there are 1 million bitcoins available for trade and 100,000 people get paid 10 bitcoins per month there is a length of time between when those people obtain the bitcoins and they sell them.

If per month people keep their bitcoins for 2 weeks (get paid every other week, it takes a week before they cash them out) then the bitcoins available throughout the month is cut in half. This changes it from 1 million bitcoins available for trade to 500,000.

Every instance where bitcoins are taken off of the market contributes to a higher price.

I understand that, but that's if a lot people agree to get paid in Bitcoin. In current situation it won't do anything.

At this point it's pure gambling with your income if you decide to get paid in Bitcoin as you might end up with a huge loss or gain.

Makes it not very appealing to get paid in Bitcoin, with bills to be paid such as mortgage, insurance, car, electric, gas, etc

I have to face the inevitable swarm of family members that make the house feel extremely small and force you to make polite small talk

Same here.

I don't like the people who come and stay for hours and hours... With christmas it's 2 days like this, Pfffff...

I prefer to go outside or just stay in my room for some hours.

But that will be balanced with the bitcoins being bought by the company in first place.

Could be, but this won't cause the price to go "to the moon" as some one mentioned.

11529  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin’s Bear Market Coming To An End? on: December 21, 2014, 02:00:58 PM
Don't think it will come to an end.

It will continue as long as there is good money to be made.
11530  Economy / Economics / Re: 2014: Do you think Bitcoin was the worst possible investment? on: December 21, 2014, 01:56:31 PM
To me it was a great year.

Made some good profits with day trading this year.

I hope next year will bring us much good and some level of stability.
11531  Other / Off-topic / Re: How often do you check bitcoin price? on: December 20, 2014, 01:36:04 PM
It depends for me, if there is low volume then probably once a day.

If there is high volume then probably the entire day  Tongue
11532  Economy / Speculation / Re: The BULL RUN has BEGUN? on: December 20, 2014, 01:29:41 PM
It's nothing more than a small recovery, at least that's how it looks.

I keep holding, it's great fun seeing your coins gain value  Cheesy
11533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Low Market Cap compared to the Big Banks ... on: December 20, 2014, 01:23:02 PM
Bitcoins marketcap looks to be very low at 4 billion compared to the Banks and Visa markets which are around 200 billion, how long do you think  it will take bitcoin to reach somewhere or at least half way there?

I'd say at least 2 years for bitcoin to atleast hit a 25-70 billion market cap

You can't compare market caps of established businesses with Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is still in the very early stage, there is plenty room for growth.

Can you explain why you think Bitcoin market cap will soar from 4 billion now to max 70 billion in just 2 years?
11534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your coin count? on: December 20, 2014, 01:14:37 PM
Like most people I'm not going to say exactly how much I have...

But for sure above 1BTC  Smiley

11537  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would you do with 35 bitcoins? on: December 19, 2014, 09:01:31 PM
I would just hold the coins. Keep it in an offline wallet for some years.

If price is high enough, sell some and keep the rest in your wallet.

11538  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy now or cry later on: December 19, 2014, 08:50:34 PM
How come you're so Bitcoin friendly now?

But for once I agree with you. Great buying time.
11539  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy! Now! I'm pretty sure that it's time to Buy! on: December 19, 2014, 03:00:23 PM
Buy buy buy time is over.

now it is "SELL SELL SELL, TIME To SELL" time.

price is almost 320$, if you have bought at 304$, what are you waiting for?

Dump it.

Because we all know $16 profit is all you can hope for. Great mind, great profits Smiley

also think $16 is not worth to sell, i buy at $302-$309, i hope sell them at $330-$350

If I buy Bitcoin for trading purposes at $300 I won't sell it for anything less than $400

Mostly BTC-E trollbox noobs, buy 0.5BTC for $150 and then sell it for $160 and they act like they made a major profit  Cheesy

Great! $10 profit  Grin
11540  Economy / Speculation / Re: I TOLD YOU SO! on: December 19, 2014, 12:21:19 PM
Wasn't Bitcoin already declared failed when it hit $600 $500 $400 after the +$1000 peak  Cheesy

Sounds like some people got burned heavily  Tongue
