actually, altcoin is following bitcoin move. when bitcoin increase, some of the altcoin down and the other increase and it will change too if bitcoin is decreased. we are seeing many altcoin increases although bitcoin increase so we can get double profit from bitcoin and altcoin. but sometimes, if bitcoin go to deep price, the altcoin gets fallen too and even reach a very low price. but I don't think that the altcoin is dying now because the altcoin still exists and still trying to increase and survive.

I prefer with hardware wallet to safe my bitcoin and I think the price of that hardware is not too expensive and we can place it in the safe place without worry from being stolen.
