okay so i connected my ledger to my computer. But when i do this, i don't get the message of updating to ledgerlive. So could i use it as is now or do i have to go directly to the website to download ledgerlive?
If nothing shows up, just go to Ledger’s website and download it manually. also does that mean if you use ledgerlive, its much easier to use? Example i know if you have other coins besides bitcoin, you need to sign out of the btc wallet and go to another wallet in the chrome app etc. So ledgerlive is different?
Yes. For some coins (the ones with full support) you can view all your balances in one screen and send and receive without having to open a different app. For the coins without full support, you can only install them from the Ledger Live but need a third party wallet to manage them (e.g NEON wallet to manage your NEO).

What’s the point of having 100k users on a Telegram channel if none of them actually care or interact with the project?
Instead of trying to make your project look legit or famous (while they are not), try to make them work.

No. You will never get banned only because of your IP.
And you obviously can login with your account in other places.

Op has no signature, what is the point to copypaste random messages? I really don't understand this practice.
Maybe get merit to rank up and join a signature campaign later? Many users have been plagiarizing lately because they can't make any HQ posts (and can't get any merit because of this).

TryNinja: I was trying to use seed in Electrum (for main network) but could not find an option. When I open it there's just a install wizard that prompts for a password - couldn't see a way to use seed. Would you mind telling me how to do that incase it comes up again?
When you open it, it will show Wallet: "NAME OF YOUR WALLET" and a field to put your password, just change the "Wallet" field to anything else (e.g: wallet2) and click "Next" to start creating a new wallet.

Hi Guys,
I am new to this, so sorry if the question seems stupid or has been answered many times.
I have an Electrum wallet on my PC. I have recently purchased a new Ledger Nano S. I would like to know if it is possible to transfer my current wallet to this hardware, without creating a new wallet on the Ledger. Please notice that I don't want to create a new wallet. I just want my new Ledger to handle my current wallet. Is it possible? Or should I create a new Electrum wallet on the Ledger and transfer my BTC from the old wallet to the new one?
Thanks in advance guys..
Don't try to do this. Your hardware will only ever be completly secure if it's a brand new wallet created directly from your Ledger. Create a new wallet from your Ledger and move all your coins to it. P.S: Don't store your backup seed in your computer, phone, online, in a picture, etc... Just write it down in the backup sheet that comes with the Ledger and keep it safe (you can also write it down in other paper pieces).

I opened the Electrum Testnet file, went to file then new/restore to put in my seed and hopefully restore the wallet.
Testnet is like the name already says, a network used for testing. There is the testnet network and the "normal" network. Have you tried to restore your seed in the Electrum (for the main network) instead of Electrum testnet?

Thanks all for your help, most likely this was the reason for ban. But I see no reason for a permanent ban, there must be a way to restore the profile.
There is not. On this forum, plagiarism is a one-strike you are out (instant permaban) and you can't normally appeal it. There are at least 4 new cases like this every week and no one ever gets unbanned.

Didn't Electrum create a wallet file for your wallet? If it didn't, you will need the seed to restore your wallet.
Why didn't you write it down or made a backup of it?
edit: oh. crashed as "stopped working" I assume.

Sometimes I find really good content in the English thread, while in the Russian one the situation is not so good. If I translate someone's content with refering to the original source will it be conseidered as plagiarism? If you link the source, I don't since so. And one more: shoul I always ask permission for translating someone's brilliant thoughts in case I mention great contribution of the author and that it's just translation, not an original post.
Yes. Always ask the author if you can translate it to your board.

How can we trust you? What is your business model to earn money and maintain yourself?

|

Do we need to re-register for the new beta forum?
No. You will only need to reset your account password. Everything else will be the same (including your rank - probably).

|
|
thank you. Can i ask you a question. How do you know about that?
I don't. That's why I said "probably"; You are not the first user who came here saying that its been 7 days since the ban but it was not. Can't you wait an extra day before coming back to spam the forum with your bounty entries?
|
|
|
Your "friend" should wait. Your "friend" probably still has a day or a few hours left on his ban.

Where are the coins coming from?
No one sent anything to that address, so there is nothing wrong with your Electrum wallet.
They are coming from http://flugsvamp72rajmk.onion and in my wallet console it says true when I check the "ISADRESSMINE" thing you know? As I said, there is nothing wrong with your address or wallet. The issue is the website that didn't send you the coins. Explain exactly what you did and why you're waiting for a payment from this website.

can I appeal to save my main account, I hope I can and give an explanation
Which explanation? Again, you literally copied someone's else post and changed a few words to hide it.

Did not quite understand where you got the time 45 minutes. I see that less than 5 minutes, since we only received 1 confirmation
Your mixer automatically chose 45 min as the delay time (waiting time) for me. Doesn't that mean that after 1 confirmation, I will receive the coins in 45 minutes? Anyways, I received the coins (with a transaction fee of 18 sat/byte, which is higher than what I would have chosen). Maybe let the users choose the transaction fee as well?

Ok then. First, I disliked the overall design. But that's just my opinion. A few suggestions: - You should add a Letter of Guarantee for every mixing; - You should reorganize your FAQ. E.g: in the "Concerns" tab, put the question text on one line and the answer in the other (and/or bold the questions). Right now, everything is just a single block of text. - Let the user choose the mix time (delay); Two concerns: - If the minimum is 0.01 BTC and any lower amount will be considered as a donation, why do you let the user put something like 0.005 BTC in the "You send bitcoin" field and start mixing? And the worst part is that the minimum amount info only can be found in the FAQ. Here is a real example: https://mixercoin.co/en/order/5bbbb2b6656cc260ea7e3ebb - what happens if I send the 0.005 BTC? - What happens if my transaction stays unconfirmed for more than 72 hours, which is when you delete all "non-executed" orders? I'll update this post when I receive the coins in 45 minutes. No need to deviate from the topic of conversation. You were asked to send you to the test. The minimum amount of mixing is 0.01 bitcoin. Create an order I already did. That's why I specifically said: "I'll update this post when I receive the coins in 45 minutes."I just wrote a valid concern. Some users may end up trying to mix a lower amount and since it's accepted, they will "donate" their coins without knowing. Isn't that why I'm testing your mixer? To see if your mixer works, find issues and give you suggestions? If the minimum is 0.01 BTC, the mixer should only accept orders if the amount is > 0.01 BTC. This information should also be at the front page of your website. Stop looking at just one part of the post and read everything.
