11582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how do i make confirmations on blockchain faster on: June 17, 2016, 01:55:52 AM
I sent with 5mbtc thts enough to make it faster
No. There is no such thing called a standard fee, default fee or whatever some members are trying to tell you. What 'truly' [1] matters here is the satoshis/byte included at the time and the current recommended one. The recommended fee can be found here. This means that a transaction fee (X) might be enough for transaction A, but it might be inadequate for transaction B (due to differentiating sizes).

[1] - This is probably not the right wording.
11583  Other / New forum software / Re: Shadow / Stealth Type of Ban Please on: June 16, 2016, 11:51:07 PM
I'm not sure yet whether or not I'd be happy to see a feature like this be implemented, but here's my thought: if those two groups of people were shadowbanned because of their posts, it would certainly be a punishment if/when they realize that they've been wasting their time all along and none of their posts have meant anything.

i'm open to any criticisms to my thought.
I assume that in this type of shadow ban, their posts that were made during the shadow-ban never become visible to the users and never count towards anything (even after it expires). Is this correct? Only in such a case could this be acceptable.
11584  Other / New forum software / Re: Shadow / Stealth Type of Ban Please on: June 16, 2016, 10:07:47 PM
I dislike this idea. It is counter-intuitive when it comes to banning. Most of the bans here are either because of spam (bots and permabanned people) and signature spam. Letting either one of those groups of people post under the impression that they have not been punished does not make sense.

temp bans are warning,
Exactly.
11585  Other / New forum software / Re: Some replies don't appear!! on: June 16, 2016, 10:05:55 PM
I've already reported this to a developer and he's on it. Thank you for the report, however this is not the right place to be reporting bugs/problems. In case that you do find any problems report it on the Github page here.

11586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is too slow on: June 16, 2016, 07:58:20 PM
The block size capacitiy is too small. The block is almost more than 990 kB each block now. That causes long confirmation time.
No. A higher block size limit does not solve this "problem".

Yeah, nowadays the transactions are too much slow, I will never try any other coin as it is bitcoin only which satisfy me for investing in there, the developers should have to work for fixing it.
Transactions are not slow. The transaction time is the same as it has always been (near instant). Please stop posting nonsense.

Is there any plan to implement the 2MB block size increase as promised by some Core representative agreed in the Hong Kong meeting?
A implementation was not promised and the people who were at the Hong Kong meeting are not Core representatives. They can and have only represented themselves. Learn the difference.

To nije nista posebno. Za one koji su interesirani: Bitcoin Ticker Widget ili Bitcoin Paranoid Walltime (Android).

5000 Yuan je upravo probijen. Prosjek cijene je preko $760770. Moram da postam svoj glavni GIF:

11589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Centralized on: June 16, 2016, 06:11:29 PM
Stop posting bullshit and go back to Ver's forum. The correct statement is:

A tiny fraction vast majority of people want to move to bigger blocks.
A tiny fraction of people whom don't even have a lot of assets in Bitcoin.

Really? Where and how the majority was proved?
It's a lie.

Classic neither have more hash power support nor more coin support.
Classic is dead.

So would it work like this?
No. Nobody is supposed to pick any numbers. People will received random rewards. Read it again:

Please read the thread and stop posting numbers! There will be no draw. MJ will randomly assign prizes.

I will just be sending out prizes....too much confusion and not enough time.... thanx Cheesy
11591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to set bandwidth cap on qt wallets? on: June 16, 2016, 02:53:52 PM
No I have Bitcoin Core and other qt wallets.
Which version of the software do you have?

I run them constantly. My download speed 10 Mbps and Upload 2 Mbps.
Go into Debug window (Network traffic), is the received or the sent data higher? Some statistics could help out when it comes to figuring out the best solution for your problem. Are you running a node by any chance (since it is unusual to leave a wallet open constantly otherwise)?
11592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to set bandwidth cap on qt wallets? on: June 16, 2016, 02:37:30 PM
You are using Bitcoin-QT? You do realize that that is an outdated wallet? I highly recommend upgrading to Bitcoin Core 0.12.1. Additionally, you should provide us with more information. If we assume that the wallets only spend download bandwidth (they need to synchronize with the network), we are looking at a maximum of (only for blocks):
4 320 MB of download per month (assuming 6 blocks hourly, multiplied by 24 and 30) - This number can way due to the total amount of blocks found in that time period + the amount of space that each block takes (this is why I've used 'a maximum of').
Are you constantly running these wallets, or do you just open them occasionally when in use?

Updated a clarification.

11594  Other / Meta / Re: Need data from the forum on: June 16, 2016, 01:19:36 PM
Would it be possible for the mods or admins to give me a file with all of the posts that were deleted for being spam and the topic they were posted in?
I doubt that. Not all of the posts/threads that are deleted/trashed are spam.

If that is not possible, could the mods, as you delete spam posts, put them into this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16frPDZkHcg-WYuWtj_Qqkc0fzPtoj4kBKrjpCrlU9h4/edit?usp=sharing on the sheet labeled SPAM.
The 'URL' would not work for trashed and deleted threads. We could only manually copy the body. We have a few patterns that we look out for. You can just stick around in the speculation section and will encounter various spam. Additionally, our own system might be less effective if we make patterns public.
11595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Solution to Bitcoin blockchain being too full on: June 16, 2016, 12:24:45 PM
What did I just read?

OP, please read the following: Still Don't Get Bitcoin? Here's an Explanation Even a Five-Year-Old Will Understand. Please do not make additional thread based on assumptions and please start asking question since it is obvious that you understand almost nothing.

The solution for this is firstly increasing the blocksize probably to 2MB or more.
No. That is not a solution. Stop posting false information.
11596  Other / Meta / Re: Moderator does not respond to the report on: June 16, 2016, 12:20:06 PM
To whom have you reported it to? You certainly have not used the 'Report to Moderator' function (recently) found near each post as I can't find your report:

You have to understand that it is tough to make decisions when the staff does not understand the language in question. Just trusting 'Google translate' or a single member/report is not enough to take instant action. I'll ping Cyrus.
11597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / MOVED: Declare your bitcoin worth!!! on: June 16, 2016, 12:13:47 PM
This topic has been moved to Trashcan.
Reason: Insubstantial thread.
11598  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Kretanje cijene on: June 16, 2016, 12:06:00 PM
Do tada čuvati novčiće.  Smiley
Quote
Bitstamp | There are currently 4004.7164 bitcoins offered at or under 1000.0 USD, worth 3268455.45945 USD in total.
Bitstamp | There are currently 5057.1771 bitcoins offered at or under 3000.0 USD, worth 4809245.92915 USD in total.
Bitstamp | There are currently 5425.596 bitcoins offered at or under 10000.0 USD, worth 5464675.78745 USD in total.
11599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: transactions are not going or very slow on: June 16, 2016, 10:43:00 AM

Another manipulation attempt. The upload rate yesterday was higher then the average for my node as well. The backlog has cleared now and all 'reasonable' transactions should confirm very quickly:

I was told Bitcoin was going to die? Roll Eyes
