1163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lets face it, prices will drop coming end of january on: December 30, 2013, 02:04:19 PM
Well, speculating price drops at end of January because of China is just gamble. Might happen, but you may buy at higher price back as well.
1164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get "Activity"? on: December 30, 2013, 01:59:11 PM

1165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a way to publicly destroy a BTC? on: December 27, 2013, 09:20:08 AM
There are already addresses with millions worth of BTC. I hope no one is seriously trying to brute force them right now...

There is not reason for this, because it is hugely unprofitable when you consider cost and likelihood of finding the priv key to 100.000 BTC address.
1166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just out of Newbie looking for advice and want to make statement on: December 27, 2013, 09:13:55 AM
alot of people think the only way to earn bitcoin is to mine it. yet "working" for bitcoin or selling products for bitcoin are other ways to earn bitcoin. .

I agree, having some Business accepting Bitcoin is good way to get some Bitcoins. I had only few Bitcoin orders so far, but I always kept the Bitcoins and pay expenses with profits from other orders
1167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: December 17, 2013, 01:33:03 AM
Pretty cool to see this post is only from June.  I love how the pattern repeats with someone throwing on another zero, and everyone nay-saying.
$10?  Nahhh
then
$100?  No way
then
$1000?  Never...

And now everyone is wondering about $10,000

So true, people are not used to such high rise in value with stabilized stocks, thats why it looks so hard to come
But Bitcoin is still in early stage
1168  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin down big time...down $200 in a few hours on: December 17, 2013, 01:28:38 AM
Tommorow will be interesting what happens, so far the price fall slowed a lot, so it might become just small dip in graph data
1169  Other / Off-topic / Re: 1.000.000 OR 1,000,000 on: December 17, 2013, 01:22:47 AM
1,000,000 = 1 million
1.000.000 = The number 1. No not many people use a double decimal place nor is it widely understood.

Brilliant.

Where I live it works similarly:
1,000,000 = The number 1. No not many people use a double decimal place nor is it widely understood.
1.000.000 = 1 million

 Cheesy
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for investors for a new cryptocurrency on: December 13, 2013, 10:58:01 PM
I can sincerely say a $100,000 investment will have a very high likelihood of yielding a $10 million+ return (for the investor).
And this is the part when I'm stating to get worried.
x100 times the investment.
And of course , it will be in less than two months isn't it?

Im probably greed, but if I knew way how to turn $100,000 investment to $10 million+, I would cash all my investments and assets and keep the profit to myselves. But obviously only kids and loosers cannot do this...
1171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Escrow Service on: December 13, 2013, 10:49:07 PM
Trust comes with time.

I suggest you publish your photo + address, and allow for personal meet up.

The man says they've got a whole team. He agrees to show his driver's ID which is good, but it takes more to run an escrow service. It must be a very trusted community member or some legal entity who/which can be held liable if anything bad happens.

Last Active:    December 09, 2013, 03:10:08 AM.
He was active just  1 day , posted 3 posts , never gave full information about location, name etc.

Result:?

We can still hope he logs in back, we can not miss someone with such fitting name for the service.

Edit: I mean a whole trustworthy team

Gox will never change , but until the big money will go to stamp or ... another exchange , gox is the place were the action unfolds.

Only daytraders wanting increase BTC stack are at MtGox. It is exchange where daytraders cannot enjoy their hard earned USD Cheesy

What do you mean by this?

It is just play USD, not real USD when you can not withdraw it and enjoy buying things you like...

1179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why didn't Satoshi Nakamoto just give 10 BTC to everyone in the world for free? on: December 05, 2013, 10:34:29 PM
You can still get free BTC from free faucets, not as much as in early days, but the dollar value is about the same  Smiley
1180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Investing in BTC or LTC? on: December 05, 2013, 10:25:08 PM
LTC is too speculative for me to put much in for the long term. I have enjoyed swing trading LTC/BTC recently, though.

Well i think the BTCat 1st was very speculative and still is, when people will accept more and more LTC you might be kicking yourself, like the guy who bought 2 pizzas for 10 000 BTC 2 years ago? Smiley Seriously i dont think you can say to not invest in LTC because its too speculative at the moment if you do invest in BTC. just my 2 cents

The only problem is you can say this about any alternative coin. And second problem, many alternative coins already died
