1161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Smart hodling vs just hodling on: October 04, 2019, 03:27:34 PM
Many of us here are hardcore bitcoin believers. If you are anything like me, you've put most of your savings in bitcoin.

I am one of those bitcoin believers, but I dont see myself putting all my money or savings in bitcoin because I know the risk. Once that there is money involve then risk is heading for sure, I don't want to take high risk so I don't want to put ALL MY SAVINGS in bitcoin.

However, how painful is it to watch bitcoin price plummet?  Cry   Undecided  Roll Eyes  Huh  Sad  Angry
Of course it's hard to see that.

What do you think would be a smarter way of hodling bitcoin other than standing still, bag in hand, while watching the price go back down to the $3K range?
I don't think there is a smarter way of holding bitcoin.
1162  Economy / Speculation / Re: Down below $9k! Buy the dip now? on: October 04, 2019, 02:29:48 PM
As I observe, the bitcoin will go down even further and I think it is not about time to buy more bitcoin, try to wait for another week or another month, there is no potential of bitcoin to increase as of now I think but of course I want bitcoin to increase for me to get profited but maybe December is the best month for bitcoin to increase. 😁
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoin casino bankroll on: October 04, 2019, 03:52:55 AM
Hi there,

I have heard that there are a few known and trusted bitcoin casinos which offers dividends (like 5-10% per year) if you invest your BTC in their bankroll. E.g. I can invest say 1 BTC and receive 1 BTC + 0.2 BTC of dividends in the end of year because they will use it in their casino bankroll.

Are those casinos really exists and if so then could you give me some links?

I want to deposit my BTC balance and get stable profit every month. Do not offer me a scam, but verified and profitable big casinos who have such an option.

Thanks.
I heard those are a bitcoin casino that offers investment to their site. I also think this is a good investment because as far as I know, gambling casinos always have profited. I also want to put investment with this kind of site but the thing is, I don't have capital.  Grin LOL. Anyways, when the right time comes maybe I can also invest. Try to check the offers of gambling sites here in bitcointalk.
1164  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you actually spend your cryptocurrency on? on: October 03, 2019, 03:35:28 PM
Back in 2017, I remember spending my bitcoin for my family, buying foods that we need special needs that needed of a son because of his condition (private matters) and also we travel once because of bitcoin, but of course, I converted it to fiat before spending it. I enjoy purchasing with bitcoin is to buy a load, that's what I often to buy with my bitcoin because very convenient to use and easy to transfer load.
1165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Make it back to $20k ? on: October 03, 2019, 01:07:25 PM
In my opinion, it is now hard for bitcoin to reach $20,000. Why? For me, the reason why bitcoin price goes up last 2017 because also of SCAMMERS. Why again? They use bitcoin for them to gain a lot of investors, BIG investors. They put a lot of money with bitcoin that's why the price of bitcoin increases at the same time, a lot of us put our money with it, most of us believe that bitcoin will gain its price more. Then after that, scammers get their money to bitcoin that is also why bitcoin goes down fast also. A lot of big investors think that bitcoin is a SCAM which is not because they put their money with those scammers and not exactly to bitcoin. Why do I know about it? Because there is a scammer here in our country who does it and expose what they do.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: October 03, 2019, 06:37:27 AM
Just curious here.
I know there are tons of way to live.

but is there such a thing as professional gamblers?

people who make a living onlyout of gambling (online or on rl)?

resources and comments on that are really welcome.
I heard a story before that the way of their living is from gambling. There is a couple who shares their story on national television and the husband win million because of gambling, they buy their house because of gambling but instead of thinking wise, they got greedy so, instead of saving their winnings, they play again and again and lose their winnings one by one. So I think it really depends on the situation because not all the time, luck is with us.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Libra Coin bring Down Bitcoin's dominance on: October 03, 2019, 06:28:24 AM
I would like to play devil's advocate
From this article I read
Quote
“Unlike the volatility seen around other cryptocurrency’s in the past, we believe that Libra’s focus on creating a stable, low inflation currency backed by a reserve or real assets is a differentiator. Further, unlike other stablecoins, Libra will not be pegged to one currency but instead a basket of assets ranging from bank deposits to short-term government securities.”
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/06/18/the-difference-between-bitcoin-and-facebooks-libra.html

Will Libra Coin bring Down Bitcoin's dominance in the market, your thought?

Facebook is powerful in terms of social media. They have the advantage to advertise their coin libra but I don't think it will take down bitcoin dominance market because, in my opinion, they are still relying on bitcoin because of bitcoin still the mother of all coins in cryptocurrencies.
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did fixed rate system ever saved your money? on: October 03, 2019, 12:40:01 AM
Here's to discuss fixed-rate and its benefits. Besides the deterring speculation, preventing depreciation of the currency and so on - did fixed exchange rate ever help you to avoid losing coins? I mean I saw an announcement about 15 mins fixed rate on changelly app, but how useful this time is? Do you pay attention to such benefits?
Interested to hear your own stories.
Did you mean every 15 mins bitcoin price will change? If that so, I think it is good for those who invested a huge amount like for maybe 100btc or 200btc. Small changes on a price, it is already a big and huge change in their investment as well. For me, it is really helpful for those big investors that if the price will go up even for 1% then it's already a big change to their investment. Vice verse when the price will go down as well.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many gambling sites are you playing and do you use the same strategy on: October 02, 2019, 02:28:20 PM
How many gambling sites are you playing and do you use the same strategy? I'm playing on at least 4 sites now and uses a different variation on the martingale and some guessing method and I found out that I have good success implementing a method on one gambling site that is not effective on other gambling sites, how about you?
I already played 2 gambling sites, I am not really a gambler but when I have time or I just wanted to play then I will bet. I don't use any techniques because I don't also know-how. LOL. I just play whenever and whatever I want and bet how much I want until my bitcoin will be at zero balance. LOL. I don't have that much of BTC in my wallet so it's just fine with me to lose. I don't want to play all my BTC and that's for sure, some of it will do.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Btc is 1st then? Other Alts? on: October 02, 2019, 06:03:40 AM
Is Ethereum second?

Its obviously one of a popular coin, and for me, Ethereum is number one coin in altcoin.

Quote
If so wich Cryptocurrency Will be third, 4th. 5th.??
I think there is no exact 3rd, 4th and 5th coin, because for me in my opinion, the sequence may also very depends on a market.

Quote
What You think wich coins are competing with Ethereum?
A lot of coin are competing with ethereum and I don't think that is only BCH, there are a most coin that has a potential in the market.

Quote
I Think Ethereum and Bitcoin are number one!
Obviously Yes.

Quote
3rd. I Think its a BCH.
Well, it's your opinion, but for me, there are lots of coins that has good potential. And maybe BCH is one of them.
1171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: October 02, 2019, 12:51:56 AM
The traditional norms made us believe that savings are a safe option to store your wealth.
But is it true now?
With inflation, we all know that the prices of the wealth we have kept in our savings account will decrease. What is the use of saving when ultimately we are not even able to enjoy what we have been saving for years?
The smarter option?
Investment! Investment is not gambling if done rightly. Very often we see people not putting too much effort into learning and jumping into FOMO. They don’t have enough guidance that will help them to invest better.
Investment is also risky just like gambling, but once you invested in a trusted one then I think it will become safe. Some investment is risky just like when we invested with bitcoin because the price is not stable. The investment will make your money grow as the time comes but depends on the demand of what we invested. Then savings is just a matter of our savings that if we didn't put money then it will also not grow.
Having savings while investing is a good tandem. It is better to have a savings and investment at the same time because once you gain profit on your investment, to make it safer then keep some of it in your savings.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A cryptocurrency entirely dedicated to GAMBLING? on: October 01, 2019, 01:28:10 PM
An idea came onto my mind, and it consists about a currency that is entirely dedicated onto gambling and also betting, I did not search through the web if there is actually crypto that has done this. Gambling is a thing that the people love to do, whether if it is in the casino or online, but have you ever thought of a crypto that will serve as your main currency whether if it is in the casino or it is on online, I think this could also be beneficial for the gamblers as well, I wanna know about what you think of my idea, whether if it is a positive or negative opinion, I will still take it.
If crypto can only be used in gambling then maybe most of us will play gambling even if we are not totally a gambler. One coin is fine to be dedicated in gambling but I dont think it is also a good idea, and I don't think, an owner of a coin will do a coin just for one reason. It is better to have a coin with multiple uses.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: October 01, 2019, 08:09:41 AM
Gambling is bad depends on your religions. Since I am not religious because, in my opinion, religions can not save us. Our own faith will save us and not religions. Gambling is bad depends on our perspective and in my opinion, I don't think that gambling money is dirty money. We play gambling because we have our own reasons, sometimes we want to be entertained and most of the time, we want to win. As long as we don't hurt somebody then there are no bad doings.

1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regret In Changing A Bet Have You Experienced on: September 30, 2019, 04:44:54 PM
This really happens to my friend in a horse racing, he is making a good run of winning he was in a winner take all bet and he needs to only win one, before he buys a ticket a winner take all-ticket, he has doubt on his bet on the 7th race because he is not the main favorite, he opted  for the favorite of race 7

He wins bet on all the 6 races  and he just needs one win and he is confident that the horse who he picks for a replacement on the horse he first bet to win the race, in the end, he loses the big jackpot in the 7th race because the horse that comes out the winner happens to be the horse he replaced with the favourite, he loses $3000 jackpot because of that.

He had a hard time moving on with that experience.
It is really hard to move on with that huge amount of $3000. I experience that too but not in horse racing, I don't even experience to play horse racing. LOL. Anyways, I any kind of game we can experience it, in my case, I experience it with a dice game, colour game, sometimes with cards game. Being confuse in our bet is a natural attitude but all our decisions will have a big effect in the future. So be careful where to bet and be careful about where would you really like to bet so that, no blaming at the end.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we boycott the Facebook Coin (Project Libra)? on: September 29, 2019, 04:20:11 PM
Facebook is the antithesis of everything Satoshi stood for.

Should we, as the crypto community, boycott their effort?

I wouldn't be surprised if Facebook tried to use their massive wealth and lobbying arm to try and push for laws that favored their crypto and somehow harmed others.

It wouldn't be the first time that a company had engaged in lobbying and rent-seeking to harm competitors.

It is early to say that we should boycott the Facebook coin, as I've heard about that coin, it is less volatile than other cryptocurrencies and much better security. Well, we all don't know what's behind that coin until they launch their coin. So let's wait and see its potential. As we all know, Facebook is very popular, so they can use their influence to advertise their coin better and a fastest way they can.

1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: September 28, 2019, 01:59:15 PM
Bitcoin price is at $10,000 for so long and there is no new news about bitcoin, so there is also no support for buyers to buy bitcoin more to build a new high price for bitcoin this year. Everyone is just waiting for something but there are no new comings. Maybe some others who hold their bitcoin for so long, sell some of their bitcoin because no improvement is happening.

1180  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Dropping - Are You Scared? on: September 27, 2019, 02:10:11 PM
I am also not worried if bitcoin is dropping. Bitcoin price is important in the next 5 year maybe, it can be possibly the best price or maybe the best time to sell your bitcoin investment today (not advice as well).
I am not saying that I am right and I am good at predicting but don't be afraid if the bitcoin price right now gets low for a while, in time, you/we can see big improvement for sure.
