What about coloured coins?

Wasn't coloured coins going to be modified to run on the IXCoin chain instead of the BiTCoin chain?

-MarkM-

Yeah, I don't get it.  All of these plans came out of nowhere, all gung-ho and well planned out and then died just as suddenly and without warning.

Remember all the expert, hi-tech Colored Coins talk by Friction last year?  Man, we all thought we had the Woz on our team.  lol, and now NOTHING.

Bizarre, sad and upsetting.

You have to realize that IXCcoin moves at glacial pace.    We have the 0.8.6 client but we don't have verification from the pools that they are using that.  Without the pools cooperation,  any modification we make isn't going to be introduced in the network.

My veteran status does have to do with this case, as I said the FTC asked me and I imagine it makes them look a bit harder. This is also good for the others who are being ignored by AMT. Kids and healthcare did not take my $6000. Most people do not hate, they are respectful and say things like "thanks for your service" when I did not ask.
so you get a preferential service from the ftc (which i presume is a govt service) and so you should but amt specifically will not treat you any better as you are the same as me a paying customer.
Veterans do get preferential service from government agencies,  that is just the way it works.

He has every right to use this card.  It's not just the government, but the courts will not look kindly on a company that is screwing veterans.

Remember, we are customers of AMT.  We have paid over $6,000 each for a product they have not delivered.  They owe it to us to be responsive to our queries.  So far, they have not been, and that is why so many of us are forced to take the legal route.  We truly have no other option.
1163  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 01, 2014, 01:36:19 AM
I am order #958, the only thing I got so far from AMT is a bad attitude. All the solutions are just a mix match of parts or missing parts. Power supplies and cases no where in sight. The miners don't hash at the advertised speed unless you put them in turbo mode. This is why I am trying to go the refund route. If you try to complain they will rip your head off.

I filed with FTC and they also asked if I was a veteran when I filed and I said yes. I am also going to contact my veterans group to let them know what this wonderful American mining company is doing to me and the other veterans here.

AMT definitely need to ramp up their customer service.

At this point,  they're lack of responsiveness is going to lead to a lot of legal action.

Great idea to help shorten order queue send me a refund for order 870. Thank you. And see how positive the post is. Simple solution and benefits all Smiley

+1  the simplest of solutions!

$640 - Asics
$180 - Hashboard
$32 - Heatsink
$28 - Cage
$42 - Main
$28 - Backplane
$4 - GPIO cable
$12 SDcard
$25-40  labor hr's

Doesn't look like a good business.  So for a 5 board system:

Quote
$640 x 5 = 3200   - Asics
$180 x 5 =   900   - Hashboard
$32 x 5   =   160   - Heatsink
$28                       - Cage
$42                       - Main
$28                       - Backplane
$4                         - GPIO cable
$12                        - SDcard
-------------------------
$4374  - Total
Not including labor cost,  case and power supplies.

This is a disaster!!

I can't understand that you guys protect the thieves. This time they stole my money, even though my coins don't stay on exchanges, unless I want to buy or sell some coins. This time I sold 1.000.000 dogecoin for BTC. When I wanted to withdraw the BTC, it was not possible. The next day it was froozen.

So all you smart people with your wise advices and telling me it is my own fold..... Maybe you are one of those thieves trying to clear your mind.

I think that we should raise a bounty so we can convince people to give up the names and whereabout of these thieves. I only lost 1.5BTC but I am willing to give a tenfould of that, against todays rate, to let these F*ckers know that they can't do this with the comunity

Curious,  did you sell DOGE at a premium from prevailing prices?

The reason that it was a premium was because people were trying to get out at all costs.  I took a 35% haircut exchanging my BTC to DOGE to get out.

Holy crap, you are punishing customers who file complaints?? Anyone who has filed a complaint with various agencies, send them a copy of this post. How fucking petty can you be AMT.

Yes, that is what they appear to be doing.

They don't seem to understand the idea of a consumer affairs complaint being a place of mediation prior to having to go to court.

If they do not want to go through mediation throug a consumer affairs division, then I guess they rather have a court decide on this.

It bothers me that we continually offer AMT a way to settle the dispute and AMT keeps back tracking.

1169  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 31, 2014, 07:22:39 PM

What about those who already paid extra for the express shipping?

How about instead of no case and psu we get 6 boards 2 cages and 2 pi's with SD-card which includes the operating system and user interface as well.
Fans - either 8x 80mm or 2 x140mm 2 back planes (since you are getting new ones in soon anyway), and the proper connecting cables. Then we have to get two small PSUs on our own anyway and we can run them as two rigs off of different sockets in the home?

+1 .. I like this even better.
1170  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 31, 2014, 06:46:46 PM
We've gotten a good amount of guys that would be ok with receiving just the kit.

The kit would include the following:

5 modules in the cage that is posted below.
The main board, back plane and gpio cable which connects the two.
Raspberry PI and SD-card which includes the operating system and user interface as well.
Fans - either 8x 80mm or 2 x140mm.
Network Cat 5 cable.

Accepting the above just gets your order out faster. It does not include order upgrades or power supplies (as we're short on PSU's anyway).

[/url]

Clients which opt for this setup ship within 2-3 days (or sooner).

We see clients are taking it out of the case anyway so we figure maybe its best to ship like that and ship faster.

Let us know via sales@advancedminers.com

Will customers that OPT for a DIY setup get any money back (case/psu) that aren't supplied with the order?

Can you ship everything (including case/psu) and let us assemble the miners ourselves?

We don't have the PSU's in stock, We are currently on the phones with all the distributors in frickin chino trying find more. We were due to get a large shipment of supplied in Wednesday, we just found out that's not gonna happen for another two weeks.

Refunds or partial refund will not be given for the loss of the case or psu.

Express shipping will be used for shipping the case, so if the original order opted for domestic ground, there is a 100 dollar added value there.

If we do free upgrades of the 6th module ( we will make a decision on that next week when the new backplane comes in on Thursday or Friday, and we have had time to reprogram the re-address of each module (it will take time) we may give priority to those who accepted the kit now.

But also please keep in mine, no single PSU could power 6 boards anyway, despite the wattage of the supply. This has to do directly with the power displacement within the rails of the psu. PSU's sold in the US max out at 175watts per cable. Therefore its almost impossible to get 250watts per cable off more than 4 cables in a PSU.

Wait... you are going to ship without a power supply and not deliver the power supply when you finally have one?

Deliver to me (Order #961) the system with 6 boards WITHOUT the power supply and we have a deal.

Nobody replies to that email address.  Nobody.

Can you send us an email?

Also, you have not told anybody which order # is shipping.

Didn't you file a claim already or something?

I filled a complaint with the Delaware County Consumer Affairs division.  Are you going to respond to that complaint?  Are you going to resolve that complaint?

I am still waiting for resolution on your company's non-delivery.

I'm willing to negotiate on what you deliver, from a full refund, BTC, no cases, no power supply, all the way to just coincraft A1 chips.

Let's say, 500.000 IXC left on the seashore of Vircurex leaves my confidence a little bit shaken. However, I agree there are invisible hands. I could not explain 100k votes on Mintpal otherwise, or IXC on 8th position on ecoinfund.com.

We got 100K votes on mintpal?  Wow, I had no idea.  So are we in? Seems like a popular exchange.

Right now:
FAC    Faircoin       113959
IXC    iXcoin        102085
GRUMP                  58837
XXL                         53162

Popular... until they confiscate all your coins.
1174  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 31, 2014, 05:11:23 PM

Delaware County Consumer Affairs division is still waiting for AMT response.   It looks like its 10 days already since they asked AMT to respond.

Appears AMT wants me to move forward with a small claims court filling.  Not a problem, if that's the way you want to play it, then so be it.  Going to cost me a couple hundred bucks,  not a problem at all.

did they email. if so it will be lost in the ten per customer email inbox

Well,  if AMT selects to ignore the local governments inquiries,  then that'll be on their record.

What about the other 1.2M+ ZTC ?

To be sold or distributed to developers.

Anybody still think that massive 500,000 IXC sell order on Vircurex belongs to Vircurex?

Just as predicted, not a single coin has been sold [lost], but it has served the purpose of scaring away any new buyers seeing how it appears a big [all knowing] whale is dumping a massive amount of iXcoin.

I emailed Vircurex about the huge block and told them if it was theirs I would gladly buy the whole thing off the books and in 3 days I have received no response, which in my mind confirms that block doesn't belong to Vircurex [and Vircurex still has very shitty customer service.]

Vircurex is a dead exchange.... too many people have had their coins confiscated by the exchange.

I'm not going near that exchange with a 30 foot pole.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEX :: Nxt Reimagined - Industrial Strength - Imagine Fairness! on: March 30, 2014, 02:41:04 PM
NEX seems like a clone of NXT. Maybe I am wrong.

If NEX was a clone, then we would have released it at least a month ago.
OK, you mean the NEX is not base on the NXT ?
You are creating a new coin ?
OK, I am interested, I will keeping watching this.
But I have watched the coin since I joined the btt .
I think you should give a update about the progress.

If is was just a clone for Nxt then we could have released it at least a month ago.  But we examined the code for Nxt and was not very impressed that it was as secure as Bitcoin.

We also stumbled upon a very large technical gap with all 2nd generation coins that needed to be addressed.  Let's say 2nd generation coins are coins that have colored coin capability (i.e. Nxt, Mastercoin, Counterparty) and exchange capability.  There is one area that they are overlooking that is fundamental to Bitcoin, so we decided to focus in this area too.... so you might say this is a 3rd generation coin.

A 3rd generation coin ?
You mean you NEX isolate from BTC?
But the emu is just also isolate from BTC  and it is just a 2rd generation.

Not sure what you mean.

Just so you know the people you are hurting. My wife cannot work or drive, also we have a young son in kindergarden. I am the one who is responsible to pay for everything here for my family in this economy, car payment, mortgage, doctor bills. When it comes to that $6000 it means a lot to us, so sitting here helpless posting on this forum was the only thing I seemed to be able to do. My emails and phone calls were not answered. When you find yourself as the only one bringing in an income, you feel pressure to take action any way possible. You may say me buying a miner was not a responsible thing to do in my situation. I miscalculated that I would have a miner in Feb and our family would have some additional income. I just wanted to put a face to who you are hurting, we are real people with kids and families.

Yes, it indeed is sad that AMT is hurting real people.  Was there this other guy who bought like 3 miners and now has to go back in duty with the military?  He hasn't got his delivery yet and is trying to desperately sell his units to someone.  AMT is screwing over people who serve in the military who protect our way of life.  That is just absolutely pathetic.
